-- - hey there, munberrians; you know what time it is: starter call time!! but this is no ordinary starter call. why, you may ask? because this sunday, august 6th will officially mark one year of dani savin *cries for my baby* this smol feisty lil wild danger ball has won my heart ten times over, and i hope they’ve won yours too. they’ve grown up so much (not really) and i’m so proud of them and they never would have grown at all if it wasn’t for all of you lovely writers, so give yourselves a well earned pat on the back ♡ i luff you magical humans. 

-- - ANYWAYS-- i’m currently running six threads with one potential starter coming from the illustrious professor aynesworth sometime soonish (just take your time maggie, love. no rush at all ♡) so i’m going to open up slots for three, possibly four more threads in the coming days. school is fast approaching (last year of undergrad LAWRD *distant screaming*) and my work schedule is winding down, but that doesn’t mean i’m not going to be busy, hence i’d like to pace myself to avoid getting overwhelmed. threads are first come first serve, with priority to new muns and characters. to book a thread, shoot me a message and we’ll talk plots. it’s best to have something in mind before we chat, but we can always brainstorm together if you’re stuck ;3 kcat mun is nice like that. i’ve included a short summary of dani and some likely locations below; however, you need not restrict yourself to those options!! i’m game for creative threads, so do throw your crazy ideas at me and i’ll see what i can do.

-- - an informational blurb for those who don’t yet know dani or need a refresher: dani savin is the adopted child of fane savin, 400+ year old vampire who is the local museum director and an archaeologist. he lives in jamara and throws rad annual parties (he’s lived in town for about a century, give or take). dani was adopted at two years old, so they’ve pretty much lived in soapberry their whole life, barring the seven years they decided to go AWOL after some sensitive father-daughter drama. during that time, they not only established their own archaeology career, but dove into the wonderful world of the criminal arts. they’re a thief, a smuggler, and essentially your friendly local neighborhood indiana jones (also a punk rock hoe). they’ve been living back in town for a year now and have picked up a new occupation as an anthropology professor at soapberry springs university -- but don’t worry, they’re definitely still having their adventures on the side. they like to consider themself “semi-nocturnal,” which basically means they’re either sleeping until the afternoon and going to bed in the very late evening or going full nocturnal for the day. they have normal days sometimes, but they hate mornings, so they avoid conventional schedules as much as possible. for almost six months (on august 14th!), they’ve been in a steady relationship with their childhood best friend, sam floros, a nerdy hipster witch florist. they consider themselves “partners” and soulmates. NERDS. these two also have a local band called Samhain that plays gigs around town and at local festivals and the like. that’s about it for basics.

-- - i’m glad you asked, dear munberry! you’re likely to find dani at any of the following places and in any of these potential scenarios (and so much more!):  

☆ pubs / bars / nightclubs -- in that order. dani loves a good drink and a fun night out; they also play the occasional gig at pubs and bars (as well as cafes and coffee shops on late nights) ☆ pyewacket -- their loft is in this neighborhood, so you might find them hanging about ☆ vinegar tom -- sneaking around for criminal stuff or headed to Speakeasy, a jazzy bar joint for the criminally inclined (which requires a password or the company of a regular to get in); this is also a good place for trouble, as is the underground ☆ the museum -- the workplace of their father and a place full of fond memories as well as ancient and historical items of interest ☆ sbsu -- the university! their office is on the fourth floor of the anansi building and has an open door policy during official hours; they have various anthropology and archaeology lectures as well as labs year-round (including interim terms); you may also find them participating in recreational football (soccer) games, rounds of frisbee on the green, or LGBTQA+ functions  ☆ the old growth forest -- dani really likes hiking and camping, but also just exploring in general  ☆ meadowsweet -- sam’s flower shop and apothecary; they lend a hand here when they have time to spare or they’re just bored and want to spend their spare time with their partner ☆ cemeteries / graveyards / haunted sites -- they just... really like dead things?? it’s the osteologist in them. maybe the vampire parentage too. or the teenage goth phase. who knows?
