@evilmcg sent: Recently, she had taken SR's advice on dumping the other Megs at this Citadel, so her boyfriend Morty wouldn't have to interact with them and she wouldn't fly into a murderous jealous rage. She hadn't felt much jealousy when it came to Mortimer (that's what she liked to believe anyway), but when she caught sight of a Meg talking to Mortimer when she decided to visit him on a whim and he was being so gentlemanly towards the girl, she snapped. Charging over there in an instant. Not only slicing her throat, but stabbing her over and over again once she tackled her to the ground. Panting heavily over her corpse once she was done. Only now meeting Mortimer's gaze. (for E-Morty)

Morty would have never admitted it, but the first time he had heard of a Meg appearing on his Citadel, he had been quite puzzled. Of course, from time to time, it happened that someone who wasn't a Rick or a Morty stumbled on the city-state by accident, but how many chance were there for them to be a version of his girlfriend?

His instinct had immediately told him that it hadn't been a mere coincidence, but he had decided to merely had the girl escorted back to her dimension and not to think too much about it.

...Until it had happened a second time. And then a third. At that point, only a fool wound have clung to the idea that it was a mere coincidence, and the president was anything but.

So, after the second Meg had been taken care of, he had retraced her steps and found out that she had landed on the other Citadel first. That had been enough for a certain suspicion to form in his mind, one that he had gotten the chance to test with the third arrival.

Thus, why he had decided to deal with this other Meg in person, showing her his most charming persona. Useless to say, the girl had gotten bewitched by the act and quickly turned to putty in his hands. It was pathetic, but it didn't annoy him as it would have under other circumstances. He was sure that his Meg would have been outraged by the sight and the idea amused him to no end.

So why resisting when he caught the sight of her spying on him and his current company? He saw now reason to and took the girl's hand in his own, brushing a courtly kiss on top of it.

What happened next was admittedly unexpected. While he had anticipated an overreaction on his girlfriend's part, he hadn't anticipated that level of violence. He had thought that Meg would have screamed and made a scene, at most physically shoved her other self out of the way, but not spilled blood, and even less brutal murder.

If asked, he would have claimed that he had chosen to just stand there and watch, but in truth it was all he could do, as caught off guard as he was. Amber eyes widened imperceptibly as the followed the blood spurting all around, staining the ground and the First Lady's clothes. He was fascinated by it, he had always been, but it somehow looked more endearing and prettier knowing that it was being spread by her hand.

By the time Meg was done raging over her alternate's corpse, Morty had succeeded in burying away his initial reaction and true emotions, leaving nothing but a smug smirk for her to see. There was no way he would have let her see how captivated he was, not unless she had earned that admission.

"Look at what we have here," he hummed, a hint of mockery echoing in his voice. "Really, Meg? Causing a scene just because I was being polite? Careful, or people will start thinking you're so head over heels for me that you can't stand the idea of someone just innocently walking a little too close to me."

He knew that she would have hated what he was implying. Her being in love with him, being obsessed with him. Not that he truly thought that she could have ever been, he knew better than that. It was something that was, for better or for worse, reserved exclusively for his counterpart. However, it was fun to pretend that it could be.

"And look at that. You really made a mess of yourself."

One of his hands wrapped around her arm, coaxing her back on her feet, while the other fished a handkerchief out of his pocket. And if he was much more gentle, almost affectionate, as he cleaned the blood off her face than he had to be, he pretended not to notice.

Thoughts and Reaction to Gang of Secrets!

I'm very late today at writing this because life ;-; You know it's a bigger episode when they start off with a problem. Ladybug doesn't want to detransform so she's desperate to find reasons to remain Ladybug. I love how the entire time, Chat Noir knows something's wrong and wants to get her to talk about what it is, but she just tries to pretend she's fine. If anything, Chat Noir would probably be the best person to talk to considering everything he's dealt with too both with Kagami and his responsibility as Chat! She could mention that she was seeing someone but they broke up because of her secret, and she could tell him how much being the Guardian's having an affect on her. All perfectly well and good without exposing any identities or things like that with questions for details asked. Instead she puts up a front with him and pretends she's okay in front of him and it's just so sad. :/ I understand why she doesn't, probably because she doesn't want him to know how much she's struggling. But ugh my heart hurts for her. Chat: I know where we can go where we won't have to talk! Ladybug: Yes, take me there Chat! *in the theater* Ladybug: You lead me into a trap. I MEAN HE'S NOT WRONG THOUGH! Not many places you can go where it's okay or encouraged to not talk without there being an awkward silence. But that cracked me UP. Also that casual attempt to wrap his arm around her lolol still hasn't give up, I see. I also find it simultaneously hilarious and extremely depressing that Ladybug's ranting like that in the theater because of a romance movie. This entire exchange right here. Alya's glance at her in the first picture is piercing, like I can feel that OOF feeling in my chest when I see it. The new music dramatizes it so well that a lot of people probably didn't pay attention to it the first time around. Can we just appreciate how these animators got all these emotions so right and did such a good job animating everything for us? And those that work on the music too? Everything's so spot on. Marinette's red-rimmed eyes is so well done. "No, it can't end like this!" Awww Alix getting super upset too x3 I honestly think Alix could be the next one.... you know what I mean BUT I'll wait until the end to talk about it. Trixx pulling a Plagg and rescuing Marinette! x3 I seriously love Trixx, I really do. I know the other Kwami's got mad, but if he hadn't done that it would've been disaster, probably. And the episode wouldn't have ended how it did! And Plagg knowing it was Trixx who caused the Eiffel Tower to be all weird xD Why do I get the feeling the relationship between Trixx and Plagg would be like that of Chat Noir and Rena Rouge? And I want to point out, we got 7 whole seconds of Adrien again! Aren't we lucky? The last time we got so little of Adrien in an episode was when we had his parallel episode Lies. I don't think that'll happen this time but I do hope it means more Adrien later on. Ladybug: They're after Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Chat Noir: Okay but remember everybody likes her (so don't go thinking she's a bad person for causing their akumatizations) Yes, I read between the lines. Ladybug being able to get through to Lady Wifi and have her deakumatize herself was absolutely amazing! I know Chloe was the first to fight off being akumatized but once you're akumatized it's obviously extremely hard to break. That says a lot about Alya. "Because you're an incredible friend, Ladybug." One, AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Two, did you notice the little jerk of her head, gesturing to Ladybug like that when she said it?? It's the little details guys that make this so good. 😍 "Chat Noir, nooooo!" Guys, we got our tiny little Marichat scene! It's not actually real, but still! (okay but why do I also get this really weird feeling like something like this may end up being real later?) Alya giving Ladybug that hug 😭 Marinette has such good, supportive friends. I love them all. x.x YES THANK YOU. Alya's finally realizing there are more things going on with her than just boys. One of the things that's always irked me since Chameleon is that any issue Marinette has, be it with Lila or otherwise, she always assumes it has to do with Adrien. Of course, at the time she didn't know she was Ladybug but she should've still listened and realized there's something else up. But now she finally is noticing and I love how she was going to respect her regardless and not push. Pushing has always been one of Alya's characteristics, but she knew whatever it was was something too big and serious to push her on. "Marinette, I'm your best friend, and I always will be." 😭😭😭 This episode brought me so close to tears so many times. Marinette admitting she's keeping secrets, lying to everyone. Admitting that that's why she draws a line between her and Adrien, and why her and Luka didn't work out. Alya saying however heavy it is, they'll carry it together (MY HEART) And then Marinette saying "If I tell you, things between us will never be the same. It's going to destroy everything, change it all." It sounds like this girl is thinking about Chat Blanc and oop there's the sound of my heart breaking again. So much paaaain. "Je suis Ladybug." YESSSSSSS Why they had to leave it off on a cliffhanger But YESSSSSSS First, the expressions she had flash on her face, the gasp 😮, then the expression like she's trying to get her mind to process. Then if you notice, Marinette gives a little nod, as if letting her know that it's true. Then the way her eyebrows furrow and pulls her into the hug as she understands all that she has on her shoulders as that music plays. I'm getting

emotional just writing this. 😭 This episode is just so amazingly good in so many ways, I don't think I can actually cover it all. I'm very impressed. I've loved nearly every episode this show has put out, even those that a lot of people seem to hate. But this one, I don't see how this could actually be hated if you're trying to think of everything that happened from Marinette's point of view, her thoughts, feelings, struggles, depression. I will say, personally I hoped Chat Noir would learn who Ladybug is first. He's been such a good partner, very thoughtful, always putting his life on the line. He's also been dealing with a lot of the same struggles. I felt like he deserved to know first. However, this isn't about who deserves what, it's about what Marinette needs. It's not that she doesn't want to tell him who she is! Don't misunderstand. There are many times throughout the past 3 seasons where she wants to or regrets not being able to. But now, Chat Blanc's in her mind. She knows what could happen if she tells him with Hawk Moth still there, so she can't do it. So instead, she tries to pretend in front of him that she's fine even though talking to him about everything would help and fix so much. In her mind, that's not an option. I just hope that when he finds out she told someone else first, he doesn't think that she doesn't trust him enough to tell him. Next I thought maybe Alix. That way it'd be more understandable to Chat that she'd know, after all future Bunnyx clearly knows and said to Ladybug that she chose her because she's capable of keeping secrets (notice how Alya said that to Ladybug in the alley? I bet Alix will find out in the near future. Maybe not this season, but she'll find out.) But that's for another time. But now Alya knows! Her best friend, the one to have her back and will no doubt have it even more so now! Watch out, Lila. Alya doesn't hold back so I can imagine how vicious she could be to her (and I can't wait). And that brings up a very interesting thought. Alya will realize Adrien has been the only one to have her back in Lila situations. Why would he do that, hmm? When everyone else was so sure Lila's an angel and Marinette must be bad for saying anything negative about her. Journalist Alya, incoming! There's also the matters of Alya bringing up Marinette's feelings for Chat Noir because duh, everybody can see how much she loves him! There are even photos of them kissing, one of which happened in front of Alya's own eyes! Though affected by an akuma, they all know that kiss didn't happen because of it. And of course, Alya has brought up twice in the show so far that Adrien and Chat Noir could be the same person. And last time Alya said that neither of them could be Ladybug and Chat Noir. Except, she's now found out that Marinette is Ladybug. So maybe Adrien could after all be Chat Noir. I look forward to seeing how their new dynamic is. I wonder how this affects their relationship with the other girls. And I'm most curious about how Nino and Adrien may react to this change. I thought during Truth and Lies both that their best friends were going to find out about their breakups. Gang of Secrets was Alya finding out. Even though I feel like another parallel episode is just wishful thinking, I can't help but think it may be a possibility. Nino and the boys are going to wonder what's up with Adrien too. They're going to wonder why he's not with Kagami anymore so suddenly. So what if i the end, Chat Noir ends up telling Nino? I could see it, if this takes place shortly after Gang of Secrets, where she tells Chat that she's confided her identity in a very close friend and somehow they agree that he can tell someone too that he trusts to make it fair. It'd be an amazing way to exercise Ladybug's trust in Chat Noir too. Then we'd have both Alya and Nino in on it, keeping their best friend's secrets for them without knowing about the other one. Oh that'd be so beautiful! And also let them keep their Miraculouses too after the charms are given to them and Alya has the ability to break

free after being akumatized. I adore Rena and Carapace so much I'd be ecstatic if they kept them. 😭 Anyway, so much potential can come out of this episode and I honestly cannot wait until episode 4!!

Despair Clause Episode 1

(Scene) Inside the hall of the castle, three guys are chit chatting at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the throne. One is blond with a pony tail dressed in blue royal atire (Otio), one has red spiked hair dressed in black and red armor(Pila), and one has messy black hair, dressed in casual clothing(Fregit).

Pila: yo Fregit, are you still hanging out with Skunk?

Otio: Yeah I've been wondering that too, haven't seen the little dude around recently.

Fregit: Nah he moved to Perditus recently with his family. Honestly it's kinda weird that so many of the poor have been moving there but everyone says that since it's newly built the economy needs literally anyone to move there for the city to survive.

Otio: (Shrugs) I doe know, sounds a bit fishy to me.

Pila: Don't you know anything bro. (Taps Otio on the head) There's a reason that towns have people in them and its not just because that's the way things are. Population leads to transfer of goods and wealth which in turn leads to businesses starting. Perditus is an experimental town that is testing the nature of our poor.

Fregit:(shifts in front of Pila) Basically they are moving a bunch of our poor their to see if they will prosper with an extreme amount of opportunity available to them and in turn giving them a chance to gain a skill by working at one of the many jobs in the town that are lacking in man power.

Pila: Hey,(punch Fregit in the back of the shoulder and shift to face both siblings) I was going to explain that but whatever.

Otio: I honestly stopped caring after I asked. Right now I'm just wondering what is taking dad so long. He summoned us but it feels like we've been waiting for ages. Did the old geezer forget.

(Footsteps) Distant voice bellows: So now I'm an old geezer am I?

King Ficum: Hero ranking requires you to be granted a Gun by the Guild. Being as they are a new Technology, they are difficult to get a hold of however seeing as you are my son I might be able to pull a few strings.

Pila: Thank you dad!

King Fica: But son, are you sure that is what you wish? The reason guns are granted is because Heros are required to fight on shore when an attack first arises. That means you'll be on the front line. Is that really what you desire?

Pila: It is. Not only is it a good way to earn publicity quickly but it is also the best and most direct way for me to protect our Nation and its people.

King Ficum: I see... Consider it done. And you Fregit, might you have a path you would like to follow?

Fregit:(Fregit looks up) I um... Well... Not that... Um..

Fregit: (light sigh) well you see Dad called Otio, Pila and I to talk to us about what we wanna be when we grow up (Fas: uhnhuh) and you see I have no idea what I wanna be (Fas: unhuh) Pila is going to be a Hero and Otio is being groomed for King but what's my role in all of this? What am I supposed to do? Who am I supposed to be?

Fas: Well uh, if uh, Pila is going to be a Hero then why don't you just be a Signer?

Fregit: A Signer? Like with the Association instead of the Guild?

Fas: Unhuh! Signers are basically the Associations versions of Heros aren't they brobther?

Fregit: Sorta but they all have to sign a despair clause and I don't really want to do that.

Fas: But if you find something suuper important you might even become more popular than big brobther Pila.

Fregit: You're right. I know what I'm going to do. Forget being a politician on the Council, I'm ganna be a Signer!

(Scene, Throne room. Fregit in front of the throne with King Ficum Siting on it)

(King Ficum slams his hand on his throne)

King Ficum: Absolutely not! Do you even know what you are asking?

Fregit: of course I do! This is the perfect way to bolster our legacy from both ends of Membership. If I become a famous Signer and Pila a famous Hero then we'll have a position of influence in both the Guild and the Association!

King Ficum: I will not allow it! It is much too reckless.

(Otio walks infrom the right out from behind the curtain that leads to the throne greenroom)

Otio: he's right you know.

Fregit: Otio?

Otio:(otio approaches Fregit) Signing a Despair Clause is risky business, depending on the amount of power you get you might just stub you're toe when the contract is fulfilled but if you end up obtaining a decent amount of power you could easily end up immobilized down in the Chasm with your whole party dead. Something like that would surely insure your death. Even if the contract itself can't cause you to die it can easily lead to it if you're unlucky. Why don't you just become a politician on the Council instead? (Otio arrives in front of Fregit)

Fregit: Because I don't want to! This is the path I have chosen for myself! Why won't you support me Otio?!

Otio: (places hand on Fregit's head) Because I care about you you dummy.(Fregit gazes at the for) Can't we forget about this and move onto something more practical?

Fregit: (in a sad tone) I guess.

Otio: Tomorrow come meet with me in the court yard and I'll teach you sword play, after that I'm sure Pila would be happy to teach you Gun play. He really loves that new toy of his. If you want to become strong this is a much more practical way to go about it. Hell instead of a Signer you could be a Stander or a Runner to support Pila if you want to be a part of the action. How does that sound?

Fregit: actually, that would be great, I'm going to head to my room for a bit but I'll see you I the morning tomorrow for practice. (Fregit smiles)

(Fregit walks away)

King Ficum: I see having you shaddowing me is already starting to pay off.

Otio: Naturally, I may be lazy but when it comes to my family, I will always protect them.

(Scene, Fregit's room, fregit sitting on his bed with his leg up and his hand on his knee.)

Fregit: Otio's right, I can't become a Signer and wander the Chasm the way I am. I need to become stronger.(Fregit stands up and throws his jacket I've his shoulder) Guess I'll have to take him up on his off after I sign a Despair Clause. Thanks for the offer Otio!(fregit hops out his window)

(Scene castle courtyard,night with camera aimed at the sky)(gunshot x3) (gunshot x2)(camera pans to face Pila)

Pila: Dammit I just can't get the hang of this thing!(Otio walks up)

Otio: looks like you got the hand of it to me. From what the target shows you haven't hit anything less than the ring around the bullseye.

Pila: That's not good enough, not for me at least.

Otio: If you're looking for some advice I may be of some help. While eavesdropping before the council meeting I overheard that unlike swords you're going to want to double down on that grip of yours, also you're going to want to hold your breath before pulling the trigger and exhale after. That should improve your aim just a bit.

Pila: Wow Otio, color me impressed. Shadowing dad had really done wonders for your usefulness haha.

Otio: that seemed somewhat of a backhanded complement (chucklr).

Pila: (chuckle)that's because it was.

Otio: Well I'll have you know I have actually been quite useful. Today I was even able to give Fregit some decent advice. He was dead set on becoming a Signer and I was able to explain to him why that was a reckless and dangerous decision. (Pila's face turns to a face of scepticism) He even smiled after and told me that he was going to his room to rethink his decision. I'm pretty awesome!(Pila interrupts Otio mid sentence)

Pila: Otio, do you not know Fregit at all. I promise you he's not in his room right now. He's almost certainly on his way to a library to sign a contract as we speak of he hasn't made it to one already.(You can visually see that a light bulb goes off in Otio's brain)

Otio: Oh no.

(Scene, castle bedroom hallway, camera pointed down the hall at the floor)(Otio's running legs pop into view)

Otio: (shouting)Fregit! Yo Fregit! I have something important to talk to you about!(Fregit's bedroom door slams open. Its empty)(camera switches to a cake of Otio's mouth and chin) Tsch, dammit. (Otio yells) Block, come here, I have a task for you!(camera switches to floor behind otio and pans up a pair of leather boots with green straps)

Block: So, my protection services finally needed.

(Scene, outside tattered old library)(neon open sign hangs above door) (fregit is holding a flashlight that is pointed towards the library)

Fregit: looks like I finally made it. Now to find a Dolordare and sign a contract!

(Fregit walks through the door)(edison bulbs light the main open entrance, after the entrance are rows of bookshelves, mostly empty but glowing as if a spell is cast on them, down the row of bookshelves are lanterns light by fire keeping the shelves visible but dim)

Fregit:(cough x2) You'd think that the Library nearest to the castle would be in better shape but this thing looks like it's going to fall apart.(Fregit walks down a bookshelf isle with his flashlight aimed for extra light) Actually, it looks like no renovations have been made to this place since after Grandad was king. Guess my father has a favorite power and it's not the Association.

(Large creak comes from next row over) (sound of books falling comes from next row over)

Fregit:(draws a knife he got from the castle's kitchen) Who's there!

Voice: Nooooooobooody... (Eerie,high pitch, child like voice laughs with an uncomfortably long giggle)

Fregit: (thinks to himself)*well that's obviously not true* Show yourself!

(Creature that looks like a chao but with a tail, long arms and a face that is void but with tentacle pops up in Fregit's face)

(Fregit falls on his bottom and holds his knife in fron of him)

Fregit: who are you?

Voice: I am a Dolordare, I keep this library safe along with the books inside although I do not clean much. You may call me Dust

(Fregit stands up and lowers knife)

Fregit:Well Dust, I'd like to form a contract with you.
