“what are you doing to that poor wrapping paper?”

      Buying over twenty different rolls of holiday wrapping paper seemed like a good idea at the time. He could handle carrying them over to UA’s dorms with no problem as the roll of sheets had been confined by plastic wrap. Unraveling them, however, somehow caused a cascade of paper to overlap each other on the ground beneath and around him. He lost track of pieces already cut to fit the surface area of several gifts, rummaging around and ripping more paper in the process. Tape stuck to his hands and face as he continued to grab new pieces of the adhesive, only to realize that he had unintentionally abandoned his plan of using the strips (pre-cut for convenience) on his fingers. Gift wrapping became a process of mending holes made in already wrapped packages, cutting off shredded portions caused by his abrupt movements, and trying to free himself from piles of wrapping paper that had started to accumulate onto him, either piled on or glued there by free strips of tape.

      Inasa thought he would be safe from the embarrassment. After all, he had only been let in to UA dorms under the impression that he could wrap gifts quickly while everyone was in their rooms; it should have been enough time to clean up (with his quirk, everything was a clean up job), place the gifts underneath their tree, and go without being seen or heard. Yet he missed the sound of footsteps toward the living room and only noticed someone else was in the room once they spoke up. He fumbled with a few of the rolls in his hands, jostled back to reality. He barely realized he had been wrapping gifts for over an hour (maybe two?). He took one look down at himself, and then back at the redhead. Poor wrapping paper, indeed.  

      “Do ya think I look ready enough to be placed underneath the tree or am I missin’ somethin’? I wasn’t plannin’ on wrappin’ myself, but I think I’ve done one fine job so far, right!?”
