hi frens. hey, look, i don't usually do this... but I've just received a notably nasty ask (NNA) from someone who seemed deeply upset with me, perhaps felt ignored, and i'd like to address that. i rarely receive ooc, anon asks, and rarely do i receive mercenary comments in the form of ooc, anon asks.

i think i am fairly... open??? honest??? about the way i rp. my guidelines are clear, i respect other muns' rules, i ask for +verses and +contexts in nigh any rp meme i reblog, my dms are open to anyone, i track my activity, which has been invariably low for most of my tumblr rp days, meaning i am clearly not spending all too much time with any one writing buddy. i don't play favorites. although i have preferences, i don't favor canon characters over OCs, or canon-divergent characters over canon characters, romances over friendships, star wars characters over non-star wars characters, the gays over the straights (jk kind of), etc. exclusives? never heard of them.

usually, i respond to memes in the order in which they're received and give priority to new muns, muns i don't often write with, or muns i don't do ~deep writing~ with. rarely rarely rarely do i start with whatever interests me most, even if that is 'the point' of answering memes, because for me, that's not what memes are about.

i'm just getting back to this blog after a few months away, after more than three extremely... long??? challenging??? moons. i have 20 more memes in my inbox that i really want to answer, and ~5 drafts that are going to require some thought. i take my time. says so in the pinned post, so please...

just be cool. just believe that i genuinely want to write this character with you, because i do. because even when it's 'just rp,' 'just for fun,' i still care. :'"^)

I've been actively blogging for more than six months, even though I've had a tumblr account for ten years. I started reading One Direction (specifically Larry) fanfiction about the same time.

Originally, I read exclusively canon compliant fiction--I was hungry for industry insider, what-could-have-happened narratives. But I've slowly branched out into other genres. I find fanfic--good fanfic--super calming. When I've had too much stunting, too much noise, I grab a fanfic and immerse myself. So I thought it was time to do a post about my favorites. Keep in mind, I'm terrible at cataloging, and I have over 150 bookmarks on my A03 Account, so this is by no means an exhaustive list.

I'm not including the classics like Tired, Tired Sea and Escapade. While I do love both of those (so well written), because a lot of people know about those already.

Maybe in another universe he isn’t different. Maybe he hadn’t been given an impossible choice. Maybe he wouldn’t have lost everything and broken everything and then fallen impossibly, irrevocably in love with the first next thing that was kind. Maybe in that universe he doesn’t feel like he’s never breathing, always pretending, teaching the kids even though they all have to learn alone, trying hard not to read the headlines, and so afraid, every day, that he won’t be a good enough teammate to the superhero he can’t live without. He knows that love isn’t supposed to feel this way, slid secret under your skin like a surgical razor, an invisible war held close over the tender vein that keeps you alive. On the other hand, Louis wonders, had he ever known how to do it any other way?

Maybe there’s a universe where he doesn’t have to keep all his secrets on the inside.

“That’s the attitude,” said Louis, “I’ll tell you tomorrow. Tonight, I need to do some research. Zayn, give me your number. I’m gonna save our symphony.”

Me: The best sex scene I've ever read is in the prequel Night Out. Sexy, but tender. I love the characterizations in this duo--ABO but not traditional. Doesn't feel out of character.

The party was going well. So well, Niall had already sworn undying love to one multi-tiered chocolate cake, two friendly corgi-poodle mixes, Zayn’s hair, and the entire population of Los Angeles. So well, Zayn had only laughed and ruffled Niall’s hair and not even twitched towards a cigarette. So well, nearly everyone had spilled far past the boundaries of the night’s original plans, extracting bottles of vodka from the cabinets and losing a lot of clothes. Harry had proclaimed that he was finally going to throw a small and very grownup dinner party and of course here they were three hours later, fifty people half-naked in the pool. Soon to be full-naked, if Louis had to guess. Everybody in LA loved a heated pool. Everybody loved Harry.

Me: I love love love this. Harry is so gentle, and Louis is so stubborn and needy. It's ABO but subtle. I'll read this one again and again. It's comforting.

@HelloAmHere is one of the best writers I know--amazing stuff. I also love their werewolf story, but it's not finished, so I won't link it here.

They fall apart and come together, their lives and emotions recorded. Harry calls it a time capsule. Louis calls it a pain in the arse.

Me: Trigger Warning, major character death. I literally SOBBED through the end of this. It was lovely and devastating. So good. But be warned.

2. Light, Spark and Fire series by @greenfeelings

Life’s pretty ordinary for Harry. He lives with his best friend, got into university just like he’s planned, and manages to support himself just fine for an unbonded omega. If he sustains that lifestyle by getting paid to help alphas through their rut every now and then, that’s nothing to be hung up on. Until he’s hired by an alpha that turns everything upside down.

Or, Louis and Zayn run a music label, Liam is Britain’s up-and-coming pop star, Harry’s working on taking Louis’ walls down until he builds his own up, and Niall holds them all together without realising he does.

Me: A nice healthy three-parter. Characters you just want to live with for a while.

Me: This one is super long, so be prepared when you dive in. It's got a lot of lovely bits, and some great smut.

Me: Really unusual (as far as I can tell) end of the world story. I loved the characterizations of soul mates here at the end of the world.

Me: A canon compliant fic that feels like it could have really happened. Set in 2015. Lovely first chapter and scene where Harry writes If I Could Fly--i could read that chapter over and over.

Me: I LOVED the Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, and I'm a huge fan of time travel, so this is right up my alley. It's really well done, weaving canon into fantasy and then going years forward in tme. I love everything about it. Great character development. Really good smut. Trigger warning, there's a little underage sex, so be aware. Anyway, LOVE this one so much.

        Off to a hot start, I reckon. I’ll be honest, I’ve been a part of some crazy fandoms before (Marvel, Bleach, and Final Fantasy most notably) so there’s not a lot that the Star Wars fandom does that really seems all that unique to me? It’s quite literally the same cake with different frosting at this point.

Just like every other fandom I’ve been in, there’s always going to be that one character that’s turned into a meme, the Group Mom, or the Gay Chef. I see it all the time so I can’t be bothered to start in on that - I’m tired. 

But, just like all the other fandoms, there’s the drama and the dash pettiness. I’ve seen that too, so it’s not terribly unique either. 

I know this is probably going in circles but there’s always going to be some kind of drama when you’re doing something social and yes, RP is a social activity. Even if we’re here writing and making connections with our characters, we’re still making friends and interacting with people that we’ve likely never met before. I’ve been RPing on Tumblr for well over four years and I keep seeing all of this happen over and over again. 

So I guess my hottest take would be this: I won’t tell anyone what they must do but I will say that there is always a light in the dark somewhere. Funny coming from a Kylo Ren writer, I know, but there’s a chance for everyone. You have to remember that the people who are behind these blogs are human - that doesn’t mean that you have to go out of your way to be nice but I only ask that you’re civil and make good decisions.

I’m not trying to make myself out to be the SW RPC Dad or anything but I want everyone to be happy and safe. That’s all I want.

        Recently, no. But there was a time when I was younger that I was, so yes. I was around fifteen RPing on VampireFreaks in the forums and I got super jealous of a ship during an OC RP and I won’t lie, I made an ass of myself. Because of my temper and my inability to control myself at the time, I lost a great friend and I’ve not gotten to talk to them since. That entire situation was 100% my fault.

        Nope. ERP (erotic roleplay), or smut, is simply not something I’m interested in doing myself. I don’t mind when other people do it on the dash. Anyone who can do it and find new ways to make it fun and creative are definitely good at what they’re doing, so I have absolutely no right to be upset about it or find it repulsive.

        Absolutely fucking not. I’ve said it before in other fandoms and I’ll say it again - just because someone writes a villain or anti-hero character does not mean that the writer is a bad person. 

On that note, I don’t think there are bad people but I do think that people make really fucking bad decisions. It’s up to those people to become aware of their behavior and correct it, whether that’s on their own or with the help of others. 

However, these characters are just that characters. As roleplayers, we have the right to make a canon character be as we’d like them to be. That means if someone wants to take their Anakin blog and completely rehaul the character as they want to, then that’s fine and I’m down for it. 

The thing that gets me is that people have these hero characters and give them villainous verses but that doesn’t make the writer a bad person does it? No. So why does writing a villain make the writer a bad person too? Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

        Blogs: Yes. There’s blogs that have personally triggering things on them that I won’t follow and that’s okay. It only means that it’s not for me. There are some I avoid for other reasons as well, mainly relating to whether the owner has done something against me or my friends - in that case, I tend to block. Out of everything there is, I’m highly loyal to the people that I choose to keep around me.

        Characters: Hm. Not really? The only characters that I won’t follow are the ones that I don’t see Kylo/Ben interacting with. Winnie the Pooh or other characters similar like Lion King or other talking animals are ones that I don’t typically follow. As for my own fandom, the only ones I don’t follow are the ones I don’t know exist yet.

        Person: Yes. There’s been many times that I’ve disliked another mun for various reasons. I’m usually quiet about it because if it’s a personal issue, then that’s one thing and that’s my thing. The only difference is usually the people that I know for a fact are abusive are the ones that I warn the people I care for about. If I mention it on the dash, it’s serious and I want people to be safe, no other reason. I don’t care for witch hunts and I don’t care for purposefully causing issues - I don’t like repeating myself so I only warn once because I feel that’s all that’s needed.

        Muse: Yes. Right now, I can think of about ten muses that I don’t care for anymore. Almost all of them are from previous fandoms that I’ve been in. Some of them have serious reactions from me and others are far lighter. It’s another thing I don’t think about or mention either because I feel that since it’s a personal issue of mine, it’s not that serious. At least, not serious enough to bother others with.

My name is Kim and I'm 25. I live in the EST time zone but have rped with people from all sorts of timezones. I typically write in third person past tense and can get pretty wordy when the muse calls for it. I've never actually counted how many words my longest response has been but I do know that I can get to 3-4 paragraphs worth.

I am looking for some new partners that can get just as wordy as I can and who loves chatting ooc. I love sharing head canons, getting to know my partner, and creating pinterest boards and the like.

Opposites I'd like to have: Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Natasha Romanoff, Edwin Jarvis, Howard Stark, Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Maria Hill, honestly anyone from the MCU I also wouldn't mind throwing her at other Chris Evans characters either (Frank Adler, Andy Barber, Johnny Storm, Ransom Drysdale).

Katherine Plumber - Newsies I have a Spy AU that I've been dying to do with her and Jack. Then I also would love to throw her at other Jeremy Jordan characters like Winn (Supergirl), Jimmy (Smash), and Jamie (The Last Five Years)

Betty Cooper - Riverdale I would like to do any kind of plot with an Archie whether we time jump, do an AU, or I have always wanted to do a thing where they start over as friends in Season 2 after all the Black Hood stuff and do a canon divergent plot. I also write Betty with a little more of comic influence (ie she's the star pitcher for the softball team)

who the heck is my muse anyway?

Yozora is the main protagonist of the fictional video game ‘Verum Rex’, as seen in the Toy Box world of Kingdom Hearts 3. He then made his debut in the Kingdom Hearts 3 secret ending, named after Yozora himself, as a canon character in the KH universe. We have seen all but two minutes of Yozora, and he currently does not have any speaking lines: thus this blog is solely built on my own headcanons and meta, including the universe in which he resides, Replica Earth. You can read more about Yozora’s world here. 

Born into poverty, Yozora had a bleak upbringing. In a bid to earn more coin, Yozora was sold off by his mother to a medical research group: who strived to ‘improve humanity’. This medical research group, was in fact, the robotics consortium known as Gigas Corporation: the company known for producing the Gigas robots that helped to construct Replica Earth. Under the covert trial ‘Project Night Sky’, the young Yozora was subject to gruesome experimentation... An operation that replaced his human heart, with the heart of a Gigas unit: an astral core, that harnessed the power of the stars. He was one of many children to undergo the procedure... and the only one to survive.  

A success to the scheme, Yozora was hailed the ‘Verum Rex’ (True King) of humanity: and was prophesied by Gigas Corporation to lead humanity to a new age. After discovering that Gigas Corp were murdering ‘lesser humans’-- those who could not sustain the power of the stars-- Yozora severed his ties. He fled the corporation, along with his two best friends, and the ‘Verum Regina’ whom was intended to rule beside him. His victory, however, was short lived: his queen was recaptured, and Gigas Corp were swiftly moving towards their next goal. Project Night Sky Phase 2. Declaring war against Gigas Corporation, Yozora vows to put an end to their tyranny, and to free the victims of their reign. 

Whether it be a side effect of the experimentation all those years ago, Yozora had recently begun to see the ‘Watchmen of Fate’-- ghostly spectres haunt his form-- along with the true identity of his home realm. Replica Earth was in fact a netherrealm: the graveyard of worlds, where lost souls would find solace... until their reincarnation. It would appear that Gigas Corp had discovered the truth of their world, and had ‘created’ Yozora in an effort to achieve immortality and divine rule over the multiverse. Yozora was more than just a king... he was the god of death. Whilst he had abandoned his regal title, it was only after discovering the volatility of the multiverse, that Yozora decides to save it.  To maintain the order of the universe, Yozora must uphold the cycle of reincarnation. Reaping souls... and leading them towards the light.

Yozora is NOT the Master of Masters, Sora, Riku, Noctis or a fusion of any of these characters. A popular fan theory claims that Yozora is a future version of Sora/Riku/MoM, or is the Nobody of Noctis, but that is not the case here. He is his own entity.

My portrayal of Yozora is not exclusive to the Kingdom Hearts universe. Many make the assumption that Yozora is heavily tied to the Kingdom Hearts universe, but that’s not the case! Yozora’s kingdom is the ‘underworld’ of all worlds and universes: where all souls find purgatory before moving onto their next life. Yozora is extremely crossover friendly.

Main verse: From human, to cyborg, to king... Yozora had only recently acknowledged his wider role in the universe as the god of death. He is still learning about his divine purpose, and how Gigas Corporation are contributing to the destruction of the multiverse. Amid the ongoing war with Gigas Corporation, Yozora works in the shadows to uncover the truth of the universe before Gigas Corp.

where to find him:

Tokyo, Replica Earth:  One of the thirteen Arks of the Replica Earth space colony, this is Yozora’s home. Replica Tokyo also functions as the ‘Realm of Lost Souls’: where the deceased from other universes are brought to rest. A fugitive of Gigas Corporation, Yozora has multiple bases: one being the city’s ‘Underground’: a network of black markets nestled within Replica Earth’s subway system. 

Literally any realm: With the ability to cross dimensions, thanks to his astral crossbow, Yozora occasionally traverses up the celestial ladder in search of answers. However, the distance he can travel away from his home realm is limited, for he is tethered to the starlight harnessed directly from Replica Earth (and more specifically, the Verum Regina that remains in Gigas Corporation’s captivity). Should Yozora find a sustainable substitute-- a mortal with a strong hold of their fate (and thus, an affinity to the stars)-- Yozora will be able to forego returning to his home realm.

Take down Gigas Corporation: Yozora aims to put an end to Gigas Corporation’s tyranny. Through taking down Gigas Corp, Yozora will save all the new victims of Project Night Sky Phase 2, as well as rescue his significant other. 

Find the truth of the universe / his existence: Serving as the King of Death, Yozora traverses the multiverse reaping souls and sustaining the natural order of the cosmos. All in all, he is still trying to understand his purpose, and the intentions of the ‘Watchmen of Fate’ that haunt him.

Partners in crime: the Reapers of the galaxy!  Yozora has largely been working alone in guiding lost souls to his home realm... it would be amazing if he could recruit a whole team of reapers to help him sustain universal order. This is by no means a sinister role (though if your muses prefer violent death, Yozora won’t judge!) It would be similar in function to a roadtrip au, where the Reapers travel with Yozora and engage in all sorts of shenanigans. With Yozora being the king, the Reapers would also become his ‘knights’... and I hoping to build a ‘Knights of the Round Table’ with those that agree to help him ;v;

things that bother me:

Yozora being perceived as looking like Sora. I can accept Yozora being mistaken for Riku and Noctis... but not Sora. They are different heights, ages, and have completely different hairstyles/hair colours. That’s one piece of canon that I strongly reject. If it happens in a thread, Yozora will ignore it. 

Yozora being assumed to be Sora/Riku or their son. Thankfully it hasn’t happened yet, but please do not approach Yozora as if he’s Sora, Riku, their fusion, or their son. I can accept that he looks like Riku, but Yozora is his own entity.

How do you get inspiration? Is there a muse that you consistently have the muse for? What has influenced your writing and blog? Take the opportunity to write a short ramble/drabble about something you want to write about.

How do you get inspiration?I’ve actually been struggling with this a lot lately. Usually it’s music,books, games, shows, or movies that give me inspiration to write. Though, mostcommonly, my inspiration to CONTINUE threads comes from the people I write with.If they seem actually interested in the thread (it doesn’t matter how longreplies take, I just mean the writing. Sometimes you can tell through how theyreply whether they’re interested or not) then that gives me more reason to wantto reply to it :)

Is there a muse that youconsistently have the muse for?Sooyeon on my other account is the one muse that I ALWAYS have muse for. I think it’s because she’s been a muse of mine since even before I moved over to tumblr rp, so I have a ton of history with her.Over here, it fluctuates a lot more, mostly dependent on things I mentionedabove. Yongsun is my most consistent muse with Wheein being a closesecond. Then probably Hyuna and Hyuk? Usually my female muses are my strongest ones,honestly. Lately I’ve had a ton of muse for Sarah. When I have musefor my boys, though, the strongest ones tend to be Seunghyun, Hyuk, and Jaewon. I think that Jaewonand Hyuk have similar personalities in some ways, so when I have high muse forHyuk I tend to have high muse for Jaewon, as well.Also, I ALWAYS have a ton of muse for most of my secondaries. I’m alwayswatching, reading, or playing stuff related to Star Wars so those are mystrongest muses, closely followed by my muses for Jack and Nisha (I literally play Borderlands all the time, and TPS is my favorite of the three). I’ve beenDYING for another thread with Jack, one where I can show off the complexity ofhim. Jack is technically the “bad guy” ofBorderlands 2, but he doesn’t see himself that way... he honestly believeshimself to be a hero even if his methods of achieving peace are a little harsh. He kind of thinks of it like it’s “for the greater good”. I would love to explore that more and have a chance towrite about it. Atton is such a complex character, too. He’s one of the biggest reasons that I’ve replayed KotOR2 so many times. And, like, I would even be okay with writing him in a normal verse as opposed to a Star Wars one because I just love him that much.The one muse of my secondary muses that I have a hard time with is my maleRevan. People expect me to water him down so he’ll be easy/fun to write with orthey want to write with him because he’s a Jaejoong face claim and they haven’tread his bio, but he’s actually incredibly difficult to write as or with. Andromantic threads are an absolute no-go. If he’s intimate in that way withanyone, it’s purely for power, not for love. So while I think he’s super interesting and I’d love to write him in some very serious threads, I think he’s the kind of muse that people have to be careful of ^^;

Take the opportunity to write a short ramble/drabble aboutsomething you want to write about. Can I ramble about more than one? I’ve been desperate to write almost anything on my Wanted Plots list, honestly. Something based a little bitaround Princess Yue from A;TLA. Hogwarts AUs. Star Wars AUs are (obviously) myfavorite and I’d REALLY love someone to write an Old Republic based AU with,even if you haven’t played any of the games (I’ve, personally, hardly evenplayed the MMO). I’d specifically love a chance to use Atton or Meetra. I’dLOVE someone to write their own version of the Exile opposite of my Atton becausein KotOR (2 specifically because that’s where these characters are from) youget some back story but mostly get to choose your own path, so you don’t haveto feel inclined to follow a specific type of character (also the Exile cantechnically be male or female in the game, so that helps too! She’s femalecanonically, but I’m not entirely like stuck on canon- in fact, I prefer Revanto be a female as well, personally, and canonically Revan is a male so...).But, yeah, I know I’m older than some of the rest of this community (andprobably more into Star Wars than a lot of them, too xD) so I know it’s a longshot finding someone to write Star Wars AUs with me, but they’re my favoriteand I could accidentally ramble for a hundred years about Star Wars AUs oTLI’ve also REALLY wanted to do an AU where both muses are on the run from the law(a serial killer duo would be fantastic, but I’d also just love one where maybethey’re both thieves doing heists together. Or maybe one of them hasaccidentally killed someone in a struggle and in a panic fled the scene and theother is a proper criminal who happens upon them and they join up to outrun thelaw). Speaking about NON-aus though, I’d really love to explore my muses powers more. I getto do it a little here and there (mostly with Hyuk and a little with Wheeinwhich is PERFECTION) but I’d like to focus a little more on the mutant side ofmy muses. How they discovered their powers growing up. The control (or lack of)that they have of their abilities now. How people react (both positively and negatively). How it affects their lives.Sooyeon trying desperately to control other elements because she knows shetechnically CAN, but she struggles with anything outside of water manipulation.Hyuna being able to transform into animals, maybe having to do so in order toescape. Also her ability to speak with them would be fun to explore, too. ALL OF HYOJIN’S ABILITIES. She can absorb memories and powers both, and shestill sometimes can’t control either. So her catching flashes of someone’smemories when she touches them, or finding out that someone is a mutant becauseshe accidentally starts stealing their powers and draining them of their life force. Hyojin is such an underrated muse of mine tbh.Ericka thinking the bar is closed and empty, but Rui didn’t tell her that shehired someone new so when Ericka teleports from home to the bar and suddenlyshe just kind of APPEARS there, she’s got a lot of explaining todo to the new employee. Sarah’s emotions accidentally manipulating the weather because she can’t alwayscontrol her powers, and it goes from a perfectly bright and sunny day tohowling winds and downpours. And maybe she has a friendwho kind of catches on, whether immediately or not. Her eyes go white when shechanges the weather intentionally, but that doesn’t always happen when it’sjust emotions causing it, so it might make it harder to catch on in that way. And I’d also love more chances to explore the harsher side of things-anti-mutant coalitions trying to assassinate mutants. Underground governmentprojects to create power suppressing/eliminating serums. “Science”outposts where they kidnap mutants and experiment on them, trying to discoverif they can eliminate their abilities or take them and give them to others tocreate super-soldiers. I’ve had a few opportunities to scratch the surface ofthese types of things, but I’d love the chance to go more in depth!Also, just about anything that’s a “broken timeline”. Like AUs but based on theactual muses backstories, just with a change or two that set things way offcourse and now they’re completely different people from who they are in themain verse. So, like, if Sooyeon and Seunghyun had never met, where would theybe right now? Or what if Wheein had kept her powers hidden and continued tolive with her over bearing, overly religious, family? What if Sooyeon’s father hadn’t diedand she’s stayed with him? Or if Seunghyun’s mother hadn’t passed away, wouldhe have ever discovered his abilities of resurrection? What if one of the museswho attended Xavier’s had been drafted into the Avengers? Or joined the X-Men?What if someone became an actual superhero, bringing vigilante justice andhiding in plain sight? What if one of them had started using their abilities ona larger scale for more sinister acts? How would they have gotten to thatpoint, anyway? Things like that.

                                   RPC POSITIVITY WEEK, DAY 07:                               favorite threads / verses / group verses!

first i should probably preface this by saying i have way too many threads, and because i love them all so much it’s going to be hard to narrow it down to a couple of them. but! i’m going to try my hardest. this is going to be mainly focused on super plotted out verses and aus instead of general main verse stuff ( though i do appreciate those a lot, there are a lot of them ), because those are the ones i love the most! i’m sorry to anyone *cough* @jessexquick & @worldvisitor *cough* who are in like every single category, but you guys are amazing, so i’m always here to support y’all. 

GROUP VERSES: 

everybody was dickwolf fighting. ( @jessexquick​ / @thenameisvibe​ & @melodyoflights​ / @worldvisitor​ ): this is more of a mini group, but i love it all the same. werewolves are such a cool thing and i love our giant pinterest board filled with wolves and other silly things. it’s so much fun in general to chat with you guys and plot fun things where we all want to fight the dickwolf together. thank you guys for being my friends, and i’m super grateful to write with you both every day. of course, i’m gonna shout you both out again in a second, but because you’re the main group verse i have i wanted to do that first <3. 

PRIVATE VERSES:

( @jessexquick​ ): honestly i love that our original, first thread on this blog became a super plotted out verse together. the idea of jesse & dinah knowing each other because of her work with zoom had always been bugging me, and working it out with you to make such angsty threads has been amazing. 

i see in blue and you see everything in red. ( @jessexquick​ ): oh look, here you are again. i love soulmate plots so much, but writing a platonic soulmate one has been so much fun. it gets to bring out a side of dinah that she normally wouldn’t get to, because she isn’t normally protective or even caring. but the bond that she formed with jesse has been so good for developing her character i think, and it’s a little redemption arc that we’ve written without the smelly redemption arc of the cw. <3 you’re amazing, thank you for writing so much pain and angst with me!

( @worldvisitor ): another person/verse that has brought out this side of dinah that’s so magical! this verse has been so much fun to explore, especially because both reese & dinah have developed this respect and friendship for each other. we have like 100 threads in this verse and it’s amazing for us both, even all the angst! thank you for an amazing verse creation, you’re amazing too!

( @melodyoflights ): i know this is TECHNICALLY nerhys again, but i need to shout out another soulmates verse, because soulmates aus are the best. earth 2 lisa is such a cool concept and honestly dinah fell head over heels for her in the main verse, so in the soulmates verse (even if they haven’t met really yet xD) i know she’s going to again. this verse is super fun to develop especially with angsty songs too haha. 

i know it’s just a number but you’re the eighth wonder. ( @memorystxrs ): OKAY. we have so many threads together but the ones that take the cake are our ones with dinah & frost. no matter what the au, what the verse, what the situation is, the two of them are the cutest together. badass girlfriends are my favorite thing ever, and we’ve been able to write so many different aspects around canon, we’ve plotted and created so many headcanons, and generally just angsted together. you’re amazing, and i’m so happy that you’re in my life so that i can write this with you. 

AUS: 

i find your lack of faith disturbing. ( @warringhearts & @worldvisitor / @melodyoflights & @jessexquick / @thenameisvibe & @timekeepxr & @memorystxrs & @lovesxchampion ): okay so star wars is a fandom that i like to stay away from, because that rpc is really not a safe place. but with my au here and everyone that has written threads with me in it has been amazing. i think it’s been so cool to see that laurel starts as this evil sith, but a lot of times she’s been transitioning to something more balanced, in between good and bad, because she doesn’t want to be like she is. the development in this verse has been amazing for writing dinah, and i’m super happy to have made it. thank you to everyone, because i love sith ! dinah.

( @tobeblamed & @worldvisitor & @noprodigalson & @alwaysfcward / @heckcdup & @thenameisvibe & @ratherbewild ): i remember the first time i watched supernatural, and the early seasons are some of my favorites in the entire show. i really wanted to make an au for dinah and then i remembered that she’s called the black siren -- of course she’d be a siren in supernatural. it’s been so fun to work around her powers and general annoyance for humans, and everyone who’s written with the sassy, manipulative water spirit has been amazing. love you guys <3. 

my mistakes belong entirely to me. ( @worldvisitor & @herheroics & @memorystxrs & @supercomputed & @lovesxchampion & @nationalcityy & @filiamatris ): honestly this is one of the only verses i’ve made where dinah is relatively happy, because she’s been able to move on from her past into a new world where she’s got the power, where she’s okay with what she’s doing. writing with all female muses in this section has been amazing too, because the empowerment that all of them have, where they’re ceo’s and in the position to become in more power too is great. girls supporting other girls is my entire aesthetic. keep coming at me with the fun plots because i love it.

( @movefcrward & @cavalryiishere / @whitedrcgon ): overwatch is one of my favorite games to play right now, and developing an angsty verse around it for dinah has been AMAZING. loss of sara, becoming evil, but returning to the team because it’s still her family? that’s the recipe for an amazing verse. thank you guys for dealing with my little knowledge of all of the actual comics of overwatch, but it is a lot of fun to write. you’re amazing!

Verses - Remastered

I had to take another look over my verses, finalise them a little since I’ve started using them in roleplays and just generally spruce them up a little. Beneath the cut are all verses edited and this is how they will appear now on my blog’s verse page.

Beneath are verses for Final Fantasy (7,8,10,10-2,12 & 15), Resident Evil (1-7), Silent Hill (all), The Evil Within, Harry Potter, Disney, Batman, Fist of the North Star, Fallout, The Walking Dead, Blade Runner & canon verses. 

TEENAGE :: v;;teen

This verse is based between the ages of 14-19. Peter is still in high school, still chubby-cheeked and absolutely not a gangster. Set for before his time in Oz - Peter is a teenager who just wants to get through school, get a girlfriend, get good grades and work out his own head before he focuses on the family business or anything else. In this verse, Peter is a lot quieter and thoughtful, however he’s also hormonal, at odds with his mother’s cancer diagnosis and struggling to work out what sort of man he will one day become. 

BEFORE OZ | v;;preoz

Peter is between the ages of 20-24 and thriving as the acting capo of his family. His father is in prison and his mother is deathly sick but Peter keeps his head screwed on...or does he? In this verse, Peter is an acting mafioso. He’s callous, arrogant, rich and powerful. If he wants it - he gets it. There are still glimmers of the teenager Peter once was behind his malice but that confused teenager has otherwise become a stereotypical gangster. Beneath it all, however, he struggles with his father’s arrest, his mother’s cancer, his failing marriage and the tragedy in his life. In this verse, Peter is flirtatious, hot-headed, passionate and low-key frustrated. 

OZ SEASON 2 | v;;oz

Focusing on Peter as he is in Season 2, Peter leads the wiseguys within Oz. He’s cocky and vengeful - hellbent on getting justice for his father’s murder. Peter suspects Adebisi and wishes to exact his vengeance upon him, he also suspects Ryan O’Reily, however - he isn’t entirely sure of this. In this verse, Peter is snappy and confident - he does his best to show no fear however, privately he is mourning the deaths of his family members. Peter carries the burden of much grief, but rather than become sad from such trauma - he uses it to fuel his aggression. 

OZ SEASON 3 | v;;psych

Set during season 3 and after the ordeal of being raped by Adebisi; Peter is stuck in the psych ward at Oz / in prison. Unable to come to terms with his trauma, he struggles with his grip on reality and flickers between the reality of his situation and his own hallucinations. In this verse, Peter is dependable, traumatised, weak and confused. He will latch onto anyone who will help him and hallucinates his mother and father still being alive. Every so often, flickers of his original self will show through - but this is very rare. 

OZ SEASON 5 | v;;oz2 

After leaving the psych ward, and going back to Emerald City / the standard prison population. Peter is recovering from his trauma. On medication and yet eager to get back into the business - Peter will do whatever it takes to be a respected gangster again. Despite this, he struggles with his insecurity and shame over what he’s been through. Peter attempts to distract his mind with vengeance and a need to prove his own self-worth. In this verse, Peter hardly ever smiles, is quiet and serious and silently furious. 

OZ SEASON 6 | v;;oz3

Set after Peter’s second stint in the psych ward, Peter is somehow - on the road to recovery. His rape at the hands of both Adebisi and the three members of the Aryan Brotherhood have scarred him, however, he decides to not allow it to rule his life. Peter arises from the ashes of what he was with a re-imagined vigour. Compared to his former self, Peter has learned to use attributes aside from a hot-headed strength. He is much more manipulative and self-aware as well as a little more unhinged. In this verse, Peter retains confidence, he is cunning and happy to be by himself.

Final Fantasy VI - In this verse, Peter resides in ZoZo as the owner of a hotel / casino / nightclub. He houses wanted criminals and emphasises with The Returners while simultaneously serving drinks to the empire soldiers. Peter’s family is in fact from Thamasa and thus have magic in their blood. His parents were skilled in such art, but since their deaths (secretly murdered by the empire, unbeknown to Peter), Peter has struggled with his own grasp of magic. He wishes to master the abilities, but ultimately struggles to control their power. 

Final Fantasy VII - Residing in Midgar, Peter is a co-owner of the Honey Bee Inn and enjoys the business and bustle of the slums - he primarily caters to the ShinRa and is supportive of their actions, primarily because he’s in their pocket. However, ehen AVALANCHE begin to terrorise the ShinRa and business begins to lessen - Peter decides to travel with the intention of expanding business to Wutai, Calm, Gold Saucer and other areas. However - whilst crossing the Nibelheim mountains, Peter is gravely injured. Barely making his way back into town, he collapses only to find himself at a total loss with the strange townspeople and ShinRa-esque manufacturing of the town. In this verse, Peter acts more like a travelling wiseguy / merchant, however - after his accident, he begins to question his own mortality as well as the world around him. And soon..becomes very anti-ShinRa. 

Final Fantasy VIII - Deling City is the place to do business and whether that mean during war time or no, Peter’s happy to indulge the rich with his night clubs and bars. During the war, his father would cater to the soldier - but seventeen years on and even more-so after, Peter does the same for the civilians and travellers alike. He looks after the shady deals under the table with the Galbadian army and keeps rival SEED forces and the like happy with pay-offs and ‘peace treaties’. 

Final Fantasy X - Eager to please his expectant parents, Peter chose to become a summoner. A summoner would save the world - destroy Sin. His parents would be proud and his family name, restored. The name would no longer be associated with crime and hatefulness, but light and hope. In this verse, Peter travels with his guardians, namely Dino, Don and Chucky (or other characters) but a part of him fears his choice to destroy Sin. Truthfully...he doesn’t want to die. (His family are from Bevelle). 

Final Fantasy X-2 - Two years after FFX, Peter was relieved to have not gotten to Sin before Yuna and her gang. Despite this, however, he has nothing to show for his sacrifices. So - him and the boys become defenders - not of The Youth League or of New Yevon - but of their own gang! Peter takes up the male-equivalent of the Lady Luck dress sphere. He uses a garment grid that switches between the dude Lady Luck, White Mage, Gunner & Alchemist. In this verse, Peter is more upbeat and confident. This is more of a playful universe.

Final Fantasy XII - With money on the mind and a desperation to prove his strength, Peter takes to bounty hunting. An average hunter, Peter is a mixture of an Archer and a Green Mage. Sapping foes of their strength before taking them out from afar. While hunting a mark, he becomes lost in the Salika woods and later wounded. Luckily, he is rescued by a travelling Viera; and thus becomes indebted to her and her people. 

Final Fantasy XV - Residing in Tenebrae, Peter is the head of his family’s dealings. In cohorts with the empire; his gang takes responsibility for human trafficking, drug shipments and other illegal doings in the capital. With some reluctance, Peter takes on the responsibility of supplying the chancellor with ‘live stock’ (aka people). Despite his position, Peter isn’t exactly comfortable with the set-up and feels a degree of shame and guilt over what he’s doing. 

RESIDENT EVIL | v;;residentevil

This verse is set during the earlier Resident Evil games, Peter’s business is an ally to the Umbrella corporation and from a purely business perspective, he works alongside Morpheus D Duvall for a short while before the man goes off the hinges and steals a cruiser. In response to this, Peter’s parents are murdered by Umbrella and Peter (accused of aiding Morpheus) is shipped to Rockfort Island. Here, he is tortured and abused by Alfred Ashford before the shit hits the fan and Claire Redfield comes to the island. During these events, Peter is in his very early 20s - around 20-21 years old.

In modern verses, Peter has survived Rockfort Island and has distanced himself from his past as an Umbrella ally. He works for neither the BSAA or Terrasave and instead continues to run with the gangs and the family business. Peter can be placed in any sort of setting with the excuse of it being his current work destination. In this verse, Peter is similar to his S5 self. He’s quiet, reserved and scarred heavily from his past. 

THE WALKING DEAD GAME / TV / Comic | v;;twd

Similar to the next verse; Schibetta escaped from prison amidst the outbreak and has been doing his best to survive every since. He nurses earlier trauma and protects himself via wedging a great distance between himself and other survivors. He trusts no one but finds some solace in other survivors. In this verse, Peter is in a sort of relapse state. He’s been forced off of medication and is struggling not only with survival but also with the things that happened to him in his past. 

FIST OF THE NORTH STAR | v;; fotns

Surviving the wreckage of a broken world was a feat and a half - escaping from a prison full of inmates who saw you as nothing but weak was even more-so. Fresh out of prison and desperate to live, survive and thrive ;; Schibetta is reckless, desperate and will do anything to be tough again. Similar to TWDG verse, Peter is a survivor haunted by his past. However - in this verse, Peter is much more confident and desperate. He’s a determinator who will stop at nothing to remake himself. 

SILENT HILL | v;;silenthill

Released on a technicality ; he had nowhere to go. However…somewhere drew him in. A lonely town, a place he’d never heard of. Upon arrival, he could tell that the town was cursed. However, it draws him in further. Feeding on his self-doubt and previous trauma to hurt and hound him…and even change him.

Peter sees a hospital with heavy implications of a psych ward / electro-shock therapy. He sees a great deal of religious imagery, based on his experiences with his own Catholicism. Peter is drawn to a theatre / play hall because of his keenness in regards to acting and performances and he also finds himself in a jail with a lot of emphasis on prison rape and abuse. 

The monsters he sees are largely focused around Mpreg beasts and invasive creatures. Creatures with extended limbs and loose-hanging fingers, gross-depictions of his mother’s sickness and horrific interpretations of his trauma. He sees pictures / paintings of his father everywhere he goes. 

In this verse - Peter borders between his psych-ward self and his s5 self. He is at grips enough to keep going but ultimately, very emotionally vulnerable. 

THE EVIL WITHIN 1 | v;;tew1

A patient at Beacon Mental Hospital ; Schibetta is undergoing therapy for his prior attacks by Adebesi and the Brotherhood. Here, he is traumatised and weepy, much like his S3 self. He doesn’t enjoy fighting and is mostly-mute. During his time at Beacon, he is used in the Stem Experiment which…strangely enough, restores some of his prior self. 

THE EVIL WITHIN 2 | v;;tew2

Half-beaten to death and raped by the Aryan Brotherhood, Peter was certain he would die - however, at the last minute, his body and mind were used for an experiment. The stem experiment. 

Peter resides in Union, an idealistic town that he surely grew up in! He has no recollection of his past life before or after prison and as far as he knows, has resided in Union for his entire life. In Union, he co-owns a restaurant with his cousin, Dino. 

When the core vanishes and things start to go to shit, Peter begins to see flickers of his old self and his memories. Similar to the Silent Hill Verse, he begins to see the horrors of his past through obscure manifestations. 

DISNEY | v;;disney

The Schibetta family rules over the kingdom of Sicily. Queen Angela and King Nino are respectful, powerful rulers - their influence is both admired and feared. Together, the couple had a son - Peter.

Spoilt, rich and born with a hell of an attitude problem, this young prince seeks to cure an emptiness in his life that he can’t quite put his finger on. He strives for power and yet he’s insecure and afraid. The young prince hides a lot of his own fears behind a tough exterior and cockiness unparalleled.

Peter doesn’t really feel as though he belongs anywhere. Not in his home, the castle Ursino, or even on the streets with anybody else. He lacks any friends and his family are too busy to deal with his angst-y confusion.

In the verse, Peter is in his late teens/early twenties - is a prince and is generally quite rude, stand-offish, snappy and sassy. However, he’s also strangely melancholic, lost and just needs some guidance.

In typical disney fashion, this verse is much brighter and happier than other verses and is typically rated T+. The entire plot around this verse is that this boi needs to find happiness and satisfaction in his life and open his heart to love’s warm embrace!  

BATMAN | v;;batman

Located in Gotham city, Peter’s family are one among many Crime families. After the murder of his father, Peter stepped up as the leader of ‘the family’ but never really made a true, worthy name for himself. Despite his villainous activities, including drug peddling / trafficking / hits / prostitution and all the rest, Peter is hardly taken seriously in the criminal underworld.

During a sting operation; Peter was arrested by undercover cops. Looking at a sentence of around twenty-years on charges for money laundering and extortion, Peter’s enemies hardened the sentence by sending him to Arkham rather than jail.

In Arkham ; the days ware down an other wise sane man. His body and his mind are put through trial enough to break him over and over again. By the time the man is free of his sentence; he is twisted and bitter. He believes himself the barer of a horrific curse, that, should he infect his enemies with - will instantly kill them.

Truth be told; he steals precious items of his enemies and then taints them with a poison or chemical that can do damage equal to either extreme injury or death. Despite what he does - he genuinely believes his infliction to be a curse.

He’s pretty fucking nuts at this point.

(The story is incredibly similar to his canon story in Oz, however ; it’s based in Gotham & can be more pg+ rated depending on the themes / roleplayer & verse. ).

HARRY POTTER | v;;harrypotter

In this verse, Peter’s a child. At eleven years old, his family were forced to relocate from Italy to the UK and in the same year; he began attending Hogwarts. He’s a shy boy who’s excited by the prospect of magic; he doesn’t completely understand *why* his family were forced to relocate. He only knows the vague details given to him by his older cousin. Something akin to the dark arts and what not. He excels in Herbology, Astronomy and Charms. He takes up Quidditch to impress his older cousin (but is awful at it). In this verse, Peter largely speaks Italian with some broken English.

As Peter gets older and fluent in English, he becomes more cocky and stand-offish with the other kids. He has a black, pet cat called Andrew, is in Slytherin house and his patronus is a Shrew. 

BLADE RUNNER | V;;2019 | V;;2049

Peter owns a club within deep L.A - TENEBRE ; here, he does his usual bit - selling merchandise (people/replicants for pleasure), toting weapons and drugs on the side.

2019 STORY - V;;2019

It’s an open-secret that Peter wants Taffy Lewis dead. A rival club-owner - the man who runs ‘The Snake Pit’. Peter spends a lot of his time with his cousin, Dino and his own lover - a replicant named Rosalie. Rosalie is a basic pleasure model, a nexus 6 (Peter found her whilst in the off-world colonies and smuggled her back to Earth). When the replicant-ban came into play, Peter began inadvertently protecting replicants.

His family were not happy - nor were his usual clientele. Peter’s smuggling of illegal replicants, arms, weapons & product is an open-secret within the downtown LA scene. He is a replicant-sympathiser but uses criminal methods as a means to protect his lover and those around her.

2049 STORY - V;;2049

2049 follows a similar story to 2019 (this story is a separate story / verse; so he isn’t aged or in the same universe as 2019). He owns a club, Tenebre and is rivals with Bibi’s Bar. His girlfriend, Rosalie, is a Nexus 9 (a legal replicant). She was a pleasure model who he took from Bibi’s bar. Raising tensions between him and Bibi.

Forming an alliance with Freysa, Peter came to house Nexus 8 models (illegal replicants). He is firmly on the side of the replicants, however - he’s the human ally. The black sheep. His family, once again, do not approve of his on-the-side business.

FALLOUT 4 | v;;fallout

Peter resided in Vault 114, his alliance with the triggermen being the basis for him staying in the vault. Following on from his life as a mafioso, Peter still follows his old family’s traditions and beliefs however - being the only one left, he feels somewhat lonely. He fails to pose a threat to outsiders or enemies and prefers to keep to himself and his own set ways. He believes in honour and loyalty, but finds himself without anybody to really project such feelings onto.

Lost, almost - he follows Skinny Malone but ultimately feels dissatisfied with being a follower and soon leaves the vault to explore the remaining world.

Peter carries a gun on him similar to the ‘Deliverer’ - a small handgun equipped with a silencer. On his hip, he carries a double-barrel shotgun (usually severely lacking in ammo, though he pretends otherwise) (the ol’ Mad Max technique).

An explorer / traveller - Peter makes his way through various places inc. Diamond City and the like.

Eventually, after finding a radiation suit - he makes his way through the glowing sea. However, he’s attacked by a deathclaw and soon finds himself trapped within the forgotten church.

In this verse - Peter is similar to his post-prison/s5 self. He’s quiet and stoic, regretful and lonely. He doesn’t smile as much and struggles more than he lets on. Despite this, he keeps going.

UNSPECIFIED | v;;untagged

This is the default for any unspecified verse; should my muse not fit in your particular verse but you wanna roleplay - we’ll use this one until we work something out!

In which fandom is both like and unlike theology, and I discover a thing about myself

I had a small epiphany today caused by, of all things, realizing how much more I've been enjoying my daily Bible study ever since I put aside my physical Bible and started using the YouVersion app on my phone instead.

It's not that reading off a tiny screen, by itself, causes me to see the Bible in a new way. It’s not even that I'm reading the ESV for the first time -- I've switched translations before without feeling half so revitalized. It's not even that YouVersion allows me to highlight verses and make notes on them, because I was doing that in my print Bibles as well.

What makes all the difference is that in YouVersion, I can share my notes with other people.

It's not that I think I have all the answers, or that the answers I do have are perfect. I only started using YouVersion a month ago, and I've already had to go back a few times and correct old notes when I realized I'd misremembered something, or drawn a conclusion that wasn't as well supported as I'd thought. But when I find that none of the other commenters seem to have noticed an important detail or cross-reference that stood out to me, or that one of them has asked a question that nobody else has yet answered, it makes me feel like I’m contributing something meaningful to the discussion. That my familiarity with the Bible as a whole, and the parallels I'm able to draw between one passage and another as a result, might actually be useful to somebody besides myself. And because I know I have an audience, it pushes me to think extra-carefully about what I’m reading, and explain my thoughts as clearly and succinctly as I can.

And that, if you’ve made it this far, is why I love reading and writing meta for the new Star Wars movies (and before that, various other fandoms) as well. I love to look closely at stories I enjoy, and discuss them with other people who appreciate those stories too. If it’s an open canon, I’m looking for clues that might point to where the plot is going, reveal hidden details about the characters and their relationships, and suggest answers to mysteries as yet unresolved. If it’s a closed canon, I’m interested in exploring the world and characters from different angles, and hopefully enrich my and other fans’ appreciation of the story in doing so.

What I’m not so keen on is having to defend my viewpoint to people who are hostile and argumentative, usually because they’re so invested in their own interpretation that they have no interest in hearing anyone else’s. And that’s as true of talking about the Bible as it is of talking about fandom. Apologetics can be a great help to those who are already convinced or mostly persuaded, but it’s an exercise in futility with those who regard you as the enemy and are just looking for an excuse to hit you with every accusation and nasty insinuation they’ve got.

Which, again, is what I find so refreshing about YouVersion. Because if somebody’s using that app and they’re reading my notes on a passage, their interest in understanding and applying the Bible to their lives is most likely genuine. That’s also why I prefer to post all my meta on Tumblr these days, because if I’ve sent it to the right blog and tagged it properly then it’ll be seen mostly or exclusively by fans who are similarly interested, while people who hate that fandom / character / pairing will probably never see it, let alone get annoyed about it (and if they do, they have only themselves to blame).

The point is, I don’t just love studying, I love teaching. If I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about a subject, I want to share what I’ve learned with others and find out what they’ve been thinking and learning as well. Their perspectives can help me refine my ideas where they’re lacking, and confirm them where they’re not. As Solomon said, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Discussing things I care about with other people who appreciate them makes me love those things — and those people — more. That’s what the church is, or should be; and that’s what fandom, at its best, is about.

Of course, there’s one big difference between my interest in studying and teaching the Bible and the pleasure I get from reading and posting meta: any fannish interests I may have are temporary and ultimately inconsequential. No matter how much evidence I can find for my viewpoint, it doesn’t actually matter what I believe about a certain character or pairing or plot, and it doesn’t matter if anyone else believes it either. Especially since by the time the series ends or a few years have gone by, I’ll have lost interest and moved on to a new fandom.

Whereas the Bible, I firmly believe, is God’s message to me and to all humanity, which makes it infinitely important to study and interpret that message carefully. It is a fearful thing to trifle with the words of a living God even in my own mind, let alone in a way that could stumble other people: that’s why the apostle James warned Christians that “…we who teach will be judged more strictly.” There is nothing fannish, in that respect, about the public notes I post while doing Bible study. There’s too much at stake for that.

But it’s still me, Rebecca, doing both those things. And now I understand why it’s sometimes been harder for me to enjoy my Bible study or participate in certain fandoms — because if I’m doing it all by myself and nobody else seems to care about it, how can I?

Okay, so...since every one is sharing their opinion about Luke’s characterization in TLJ, I felt I also I had to share mine since I roleplay, in fact , Luke Skywalker. He’d always been my favorite character since the first time I started watching Star Wars saga. What drew me to him have been many things tbh ( NOT ONLY MARK HAMILL’S BEAUTY LMAO ) his kindness, his innocent naivete, his progression during the movies into a wise loving man. In other words , I always enjoy watching how he grows up as a character. Luke Skywalker is always full of surprises tbh. For real tho, you don’t know what expect from him. He can be ‘ soft ‘ but damn badass too. BUT !!! that isn’t what I wanted to talk about. 

Obviously , there will be TLJ spoilers below so I suggest you to not read if you still have to watch the movie. :)))

At first, I have to say--The last Jedi left me deeply perplexed. Tbh I’m still having conflicted feelings about this movie----mostly is because of Luke’s characterization---- other things too, but I’m not going to focus on these and call the film ugly because overall , apart few things , I really enjoyed the film.

I didn’t even know there was a discourse on Tumblr about the movie tbh, but I kind of figured that out while I was watching the movie because some scenes just---left me confused. LIKE REALLY CONFUSED. Especially some Luke’s scenes at first (  TIDDY MILK , THIS SCENE WILL REMAIN PRINTED IN MY HEAD FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. ) but what left me astonished even when I walked off the cinema have been Luke’s behavior. I KNEW when I was going to watch the movie that Luke had changed MUCH during the years. That I wasn’t going to see the same innocent farmboy he was in the original triology. Like , I sort of expected old grumpy / depressed / Luke lmao, but in some scenes Luke seemed just---kinda...out of character for me. But I kept watching the movie because I felt there must have been a reason if he was behaving like that ? and in fact there was a reason. That vision part left me really angry because I felt as if they were placing ALL the blame on Luke for Kylo Ren’s turn . And Luke ??? attacking a defenseless teenager ?? LUKE SKYWALKER ?? The man who refused to kill Darth Vader ? the man that saw past the darkness around his father’s heart and decided it was worth to bring him back to the light ? that seemed like bullshit to me tbh. The more I think about it the more angry I get because that gives something  to hardcore Kylo stans for shit on Luke and place all the blame on him for Kylo’s actions because the ‘ pOOR BoI HAVE bEEN aBUSED !!!1 ‘

No, Snoke or not Snoke Kylo is responsible for his actions. As Vader is responsible for his wrongs and---even Luke.

I do believe that Luke would do ANYTHING when it comes at protecting his loved ones. He is KNOWN for have made harsh decisions ( reckless like his dad before him lmao ) but he would always come back to himself before doing something that goes against his beliefs. Example ; Luke attacking Vader on the death star during the duel in the throne room and ALMOST killing him. But he did? no. He realized what he was about to do and threw away his lightsaber. I do believe the same thing happened with Ben. LUKE NEVER WANTED TO KILL HIS NEPHEW. HE DIDN’T WENT TO BEN FOR KILL HIM IN HIS SLEEP AS MANY PEOPLE ON THIS HELLSITE SAY. Luke went there for TALK to him, but he found Ben asleep. Now I don’t remember what they said in that scene very well but Luke felt the the darkness had already taken over his nephew and decided to look into his heart for see if what he felt was right. Whatever thing laughed at his face ( I do think that it’s been Snoke to plan everything tbh though it’s pretty much canon I think ? ) scared him because he saw the death of so many people and the destruction of the temple , and made him raise his lightsaber BUT NOT, FOR STRIKE BEN. I do think he raised his lightsaber during that vision for strike at whatever thing was inside Ben’s head at the moment ( SNOKEEE E E  ) . But after he realized  what he was about to do and that in front of him there was BEN , not that creature , he felt an immense guilt and shame of himself that tbh changed him forever tbh. That’s my theory tbh the books will explain more about that scene. But if the creators have in mind to make Luke seem evil during that scene then fuck off I will go down with my theory forever :))) that is about Luke raising his lightsaber. That’s the only theory I will accept because I HIGHLY refuse to believe he raised his lightsaber for kill Ben. That’s not Luke. The Luke I saw in TLJ left me much perplexed because he was just so much apathetic you know ? like as if he’d lost interest in everything after that night and retired on that island for die. WHICH HAPPENED AND IM STILL NOT OVER THAT. I knew they were going to kill off Luke at some point during these movies but IT  WAS JUST SO SOON. But they couldn’t sadly make him live forever and tbh I would rather prefer Luke dead being a force ghost and living happily with Han , Anakin and Padmé , rather than have a Luke who is full of remorse and hates himself that much to retire on a island for isolate himself for the rest of his life.

Depression can do shit, people. Depression can change people. Luke is a character that has a soft heart and feels very much strong emotions so no , I’m not angry for depressed! Luke.

He just doesn’t think himself as a myth anymore. People believe he’s a sort of ‘ god ‘ but instead he only thinks himself as a failure and this hurts me so much because Luke’s just so broken during TLJ . It looks like he’s about to cry during that scene where Rey tells him she hasn’t intention to fail him as Ben did. Luke has lost faith in himself and in the people.  He isn’t an  innocent farmboy anymore, he has TRULY grown during the years and learned to see the galaxy the way it really is. But there is still hope. And he died giving Hope. He will always be a hero.

Okay, so. At first I wanted to keep this more short as possible but I lose my mind when talking about Luke because I just??love?? him so much ?? and tbh I wanted to find a way for not hate his character in TLJ because I haven’t only liked the movie, but also Mark Hamill’s performance in it. THAT MAN ALWAYS GET ME LMAO.

Said that, that is the only way I will accept Luke’s behavior in TLJ. He is a human being and he’s allowed to make mistakes. He is allowed to feel emotions and most importantly he is still a damn.badass.hero. AND HE DIDN’T WENT THERE FOR KILL BEN, SO IF YOU THINK HE DID UNFOLLOW ME IMMEDIATELY BC I WILL NOT ACCEPT SUCH SHIT.

But if disney wants to make appear Luke as a evil man and Ben as a ‘victim ‘ of his family, then I’m totally going to ignore canon and pretend as the new canon doesnt exsist and tbh jump back definitely into my good old EU legends.

I’m going to be slighlty canon divergent on his blog, meaning that for the moment I don’t agree on a few things of Luke’s story but I recognize other things about his arc too. That goes when interacting with sequel! era characters tbh or when using that verse for do things. Just wanted to tell ya’all my point of view so hopefully people doesn’t think Luke as a bad character or as the full cause for Ben Solo’s turn. Because I believe with all my heart he isn’t. 

I’m going to RP Luke as a broken man that has lost hope in himself. A man that is just tired of fighting and just wants all of that darkness to end.That until Rey comes on the island ( Ya all think I’m over Reysky ? lMAO I DONT BELIEVE KYLO AT ALL THO ) and brings a flicker of hope in him. I’m going to Rp Luke, as the hero he is and will always be, and that would never dare to hurt the ones he loves.

regarding jaz, aka @kryzeborn & @amidalc.

so i really didn’t want to make this into a big huge deal outside of my own blog and my own vagueing / angry shitposting because honestly, i have a right to my anger, as does red ( @rutalonidir ) , without owing anyone an explanation as to why we’re so angry. but the fact of the matter is, i’ve had multiple people come to me off anon expressing an interest in hearing my side of the story and what exactly went down between jaz and i, so i figured i’d just compile everything as it happened and explain, with links and screenshots so everyone can follow along at home. 

i’ve been writing padmé on and off for a few years now, something multiple people can attest to. i originally had a blog for her about two and a half / three years ago - ish, which has since been deleted and revamped, and then i moved her onto a multimuse for a while. i add this context in not to try and assert superiority, but to explain that my headcanons i’ve had on padmé have existed and been developed for literal years. when i had my old blog ( @eleutheriana-archive , originally libertinedeath ) , there was a meme that was floating around one day asking people to recast your fc, simply for fun. i reblogged it, and received a message from a friend suggesting tao okamoto, a japanese model and actress, due to the japanese and other asian influences on padmé’s character. i responded that i was really into the fancast and also mentioned that i’d been thinking about using fan bingbing ( the most popular padmé racebent fancast ) as an alternate for my star wars universe for a while now, but that i wasn’t sure if it’d be something people would be into, because it would require all luke and leia rpers that i interacted with using that fc to change their own fcs for those threads to keep the ethnicities correct. i got some good feedback on this post, and so i made another saying that i was going to consider starting to use her as an alternate ( when dealing solely with my star wars verses, as using an asian alt fc for modern verses means you have to take into account the real world reactions to race and can get into dicey territory, and was something i would have to think about more if i was even going to make that shift. ) but that i’d, again, have to do some thinking because it would change fcs of family members and i didn’t want to just spring that on luke and leia rpers. this happened on april twentieth, as you can see here. ( autoplay warning. ) 

the next day, i made an edit, found here, which was a way of providing suggestions to luke and leia rpers for fcs that they might be able to use if they wanted to interact with me in the capacity of an asian padmé / interracial skywalker family concept. shortly after i posted this edit, jaz reblogged it, found here. at the time, she was still using fan bingbing as an fc, and was following me as well. i looked at her account when she reblogged the edit, because it was tagged with her fc tag and i was kinda surprised, and i realized that she was a brand new padmé account, made only eight hours after i’d made a post saying i was going to be using fan bingbing as my alternate fc. 

now, i know what you’re thinking: “nicole, you just said above that fan bingbing is a popular fancast, that doesn’t mean jaz is stealing from you.” and honestly? i didn’t think she was stealing from me at the time. i didn’t think that my post had anything to do with her blog being created, at that time. was i suspicious? a little bit, but i’ve had some things stolen from me before and also had things just be a coincidence, so i wrote it off as no big deal and followed her back because i’m duplicate friendly. at the time, i did not think anything of her account, nor was i predisposed with a bias against her, as i’ve had no dealings with jaz in any other fandom, therefore, nothing to judge her on. to me she was just another padmé rper. i did, however, take a slight offense to something found in her rules, something that remains there to this day:

i can understand not wanting to inconvenience luke and leia rpers, but if you’re going to racebend your character and strive for more visibility for asian women, this is just....not cool. but again: i wasn’t going to pick fights about it, because to me she was just another padmé rper, and i didn’t think there was anything shady going on.

then things started to get a little odd. i started to notice some things here and there that kinda irked me, things that seemed a little...off. like she’d just lifted them from my blog. for example: i had a shitpost fest back in january with my main anakin and one of my friends who rps leia, as well as a cassian rper. i’ve had a headcanon since last december that in my rebel / survival verse, padmé ships leia and cassian pretty heavily and it’s been a running joke as well as a serious headcanon on my blog since i moved padmé to her own account off my multi. you can find recorded instances of this here, here, here, and here. i mention this and include screenshots because, to this day, i’ve never seen another padmé rper have this headcanon. that is, until jaz. i made this post as a general shitpost on april 24th, back when, again, jaz and i were still mutuals, and when her blog was only three days old. 

five minutes later, she made this post, as evidenced by my dash timestamps. not only had she just used the same scrambling of padmé's name, she’d also used the same headcanon i’d had since january. did this make me suspicious? definitely. it was a bit of a slap in the face for me, if i’m being a hundred percent honest, but again, i was willing to merely squint at her and let it go. i wasn’t going to start a fight over something petty and small like this, but it was definitely making me keep a closer eye on her blog and her headcanons, to see if she was taking anything else from me. if you’re still doubting whether or not i was still attempting to be friendly and chill about this with her, i actually replied to her post about cassian and leia mentioning that this was a long standing headcanon of mine, and that i was glad to see someone agreeing with me. of course, you can’t see this comment anymore, because she’s blocked me since then, but you can see that she @’d me after the fact to make another comment in agreement, which you can find here. so even though i was suspicious and keeping an eye out, i was still writing things off as coincidence, and trying to be friendly, because we were still mutuals. 

then i started noticing some more things: headcanons, threads, and most damning of all, an edit that was directly lifted from the one i’ve already pasted in here. unfortunately, i don’t have a screenshot of the edit itself, because i was so irritated at the time it didn’t occur to me to screenshot it, and she later took it down at my request, but that’s featured in our conversation you’ll see later. as far as headcanons go, there was a meme on the dash on may first that was to the effect of ‘send me nsfw headcanons you have about my character and i’ll tell you if they’re true or not’, which started the meat of the problem with jaz and i. here are a few of my published asks, obviously featuring nsfw text. while a few of these came from anon messages, most if not all of these were already headcanons i’d had previously and had been vocal about on my blog, just expanded on by anons. one. two. three. the third one is especially important here, as it’s something i’ve been super vocal about, and something jaz had never mentioned on her blog, until i posted that answered ask. she’s also stolen some general headcanons that are specific to my characterization of padmé, as detailed in these screenshots/posts, regarding her appearance info. jaz’s original ‘detailed appearance info’ survey can be found here, posted on april 27th, shortly before i’d reblogged my own version of the survey. note the voice section: “VOICE: soft, eloquent, a little childlike.” i’d initially posted mine in march, and then reblogged it again on april 27th, with some updated headcanons, mainly just a change of wording here and there to make it more clear and adjusting some scar and bra size headcanons. notice the wording of the voice headcanon, specifically. this is something i’ve had as a headcanon since march, if not earlier; i’ve got NUMEROUS posts on my archived blog about how i’ve headcanoned padmé to have an accent in every verse i have for her. on june 12th, a month and a half later, jaz updated her detailed appearance info survey, found here. note the wording on her voice section here in this updated version. it’s almost word for word this headcanon i posted back in january, with just a different location of the accent’s origin.

she also ripped off at least two threads of mine, one of which relating to vader and padmé reuniting after his surgery / procedure / whatever you wanna call it after mustafar, where he’s in the suit for the first time. i don’t have caps of her version of the thread, though i do have her wishlist post, and as you can see here and here, chloe ( @oletherian ) and i have been doing this since december, when i was still rping padmé on my multi. she also started doing a thread with one of her anakin partners dealing with anakin’s ptsd after the zygerria arc of the clone wars, which you can find here. i noticed this because chloe and i are the ONLY anakin and padmé blogs who were doing a thread relating to this topic, and i noticed jaz posting a reply to her version of the thread two days after chloe had replied to ours, which, combined with the content, made me incredibly suspicious. 

eventually. my friend wren then went on to send jaz an ask, off anon, asking her about all this, as i was getting more and more worked up by the incidents of what appeared to be blatant theft. jaz did not answer, and blocked him outright, though she later denied this. another friend also sent her asks, off and on anon, which she continued to ignore, until she finally got one that she answered, which you can see here. note the tags: “not even gonna reply to this bs until someone approaches me off anon”. at this point in time, at least two people already had, and she’d blocked them outright. 

shortly after posting this, she sent me an ask, as we were still mutuals at the time, giving me her skype and asking me if we could talk privately, to which i agreed, as i was more than willing to work things out with her on a private level. i prefer to handle things one on one to making a huge spectacle of things, and i was glad she was willing to talk to me privately. here is a complete record of our conversation.

( as a note for clarity: at the time, wren, ( @spectrefive ) , was still using his url “weaponexpert”, and still going by she/them pronouns, which is why i referred to him with neutral and feminine pronouns in these messages. obviously, he no longer uses those pronouns, but i just wanted to clarify in case there was some confusion. )

so while jaz agreed to delete the headcanons and the edit, she only deleted the edit. the headcanons are all still up on her archived blog and implemented on her current blog to this day. now, i was willing to let all this go, as we had both agreed to unfollow, block, and move on, despite the fact that i’ve gotten multiple anonymous hate messages that i’m pretty positive are from her due to the typing style ( there’s no date on this because i was mobile - and visiting my grandfather in the hospital ! - when i saw them, but the date was june eighteenth. of course, i don’t have proof because they were sent on anon and i don’t have an ip tracker on my blog, but the signs line up a bit too much for me to write this off as coincidence. ) , because again: i prefer to deal with these things privately and move on. i didn’t entirely believe her when she said nothing was actively stolen from me, or when she claimed not to have blocked wren after her sent her a message, but it wasn’t about belief. i’d said what i needed to say, so had she, and we’d moved on. 

then she started doing the same thing to red. most of you are familiar with this by now, as this is what’s started the drama currently, but for clarification, red wrote some nsfw headcanons on her old satine blog, found here, which she posted on the second of july. jaz then posted some extremely similar headcanons on the twenty seventh of august, right after blocking red’s blog. shortly after this was posted, red received this anonymous message, which then set the dash off. 

so anyway, there you have it. if you want to reblog this post, there’s nothing stopping you, but frankly, i’m not posting it to try and change anyone’s mind on who jaz is as a person or whether or not they want to interact with her. you’re all your own people and free to do whatever you want to or don’t want to do. it’s not my call. but i do stand by what i’ve said in my rules: i won’t have her on my dash from this point forward. thank you for taking the time to read this, and i hope you have a wonderful day.

1. What makes you the most emotional about your muse?

Different situations really. Most of the time I get emotional about her and the muses that I write with, like the plots we come up with for them and the development as far as relationships go. Come on, I’ve literally cried over her and Eron before, let’s not make it a secret. So I just get really emotional about the relationships she makes with people and those deep connections that I really feel in my heart and soul.

2. What made you decide to write this muse?

So a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…before The Force Awakens was even a twinkle in J.J. Abrams’ eye…the Star Wars fandom was DEAD. I mean, you could hardly find anyone around but I decided that there was a small rp fandom for it anyway so I was going to make a character. I had given it some thought and knew I couldn’t pull of a canon (which I’m lowkey sad about still) so I decided to make an oc. At the time, her name was actually Joan Lilon. A lot of her bio is kind of what I have today for her, but there’s also a lot that’s different, too. I can’t even remember if August was even her father/mentor or what. I think she had her scars? Whatever, my point is…that was the beginning of Anna. Of course, the fandom was so small and what little mains I did have basically disappeared, so I sadly decided to delete as well. 

NOW. I started getting into the Star Trek reboots, right before Into Darkness came out. So I made a ST oc by the name of Dr. Anna Hart. Threw a tragic background at her i.e. her older brother belonging in Starfleet and dying in a tragic accident and she has to deal with living in his shadow. I did good in the fandom and then out of nowhere, THE FORCE AWAKENS IS ANNOUNCED. Not thinking much of it, I threw together a half-assed SW verse for Anna, interacted with a few muses, and ya know…bided my time.

SO THEN TFA CAME OUT. I don’t know how it happened, but I was like…well on one hand we have a depressed doctor and on the other hand I transformed that depressed doc into a smuggler who radiates confidence and charisma and loves life so…balancing two very different personalities with different backstories (because her brother was nowhere to be found in my SW verse) is proving to be very difficult and annoying. I was becoming more of a SW blog then, too, so I had to do something. I kicked Dr. Anna Hart to the curb (aka made a new blog especially for her/that verse) and this blog became the Star Wars blog. Also, fyi, the ST blog no longer exists cause I lost muse for her but jfngvgdn what ya gonna do. So obviously since then, Anna has changed A LOT. She has a great background, she has developed tremendously thanks to everyone I write with…and yeah…what started as me just wanting a SW verse ended up becoming me writing a character I love with my entire heart

9. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

OF COURSE I DO. Listen, I’ve put her through some situations where I have literally cried in real life because I felt that pain in my soul. It happens. I’m not the only one omg jdngvjnsdngj. I think what would break her heart is taking away the people that she loves unconditionally the most in this world. She hasn’t opened her heart to many people, keeping it guarded and all that, so taking away the ones she has let in would kill her. Obviously, Eron dying would just break her to pieces and she’d never recover. August dying before they can even have that father-daughter relationship they both deserve would kill her.

Supernatural “War of the Worlds” Review Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Tolerate b*cklemming

These people are far from my favorite writers on the show (that would be Berens, Glynn and Yockey, the last of whom wrote my two favorite episodes) but every time an episode they wrote airs I want to dissect all the good and bad of it anyway, and this is no exception. This is I think their third episode in a row I’ve felt the urge to review. I think it’s a coping mechanism to help me tolerate these episodes.

This was not b*cklemming’s worst episode – I still think that was the one in which Eileen died – but it was not great either. It’s watchable, don’t get me wrong. But we’ve had a string of stellar episodes this season except for two. Two. And they were both written by this duo.

Unequivocally bad things about this episode:

- Who the FUCK decided to put b*cklemming in charge of apocalypse world? There do indeed appear to be no women, period. I kept hoping the creepy hunter who attacked Mary in their last episode only thought there were no women because all the women around had the good sense to avoid him, but … nope. It appears he was right. The whole apocalypse place looks like the cast of Lawrence of Arabia with a darker aestetic.      Either mittensmorgul or elizabethrobertajones (I can’t remember which and the post is too far back for me to find but both have excellent blogs!) pointed out this just keeps b*cklemming from writing creepy rape scenes all over apocalypse world, which is a fair point. However, b*cklemming has written plenty of problematic sexually violent stuff victimizing male characters, albeit usually being victimized by women (April to Cas, Toni to Sam). Also it just generally irks me when an otherwise well-written show suggests women can’t survive harsh circumstances. I know they have to stay on Supernatural, but someone please keep this pair away from Wayward Sisters. - Asmodeus sucked only marginally less in this episode than when he was introduced, and that’s only because he had the suckiest introduction of anyone in this show. He. Is. Still. Awful. I can’t believe the show is going to waste the Keeping-Cas-Locked-Up-In-Hell story line I’ve been waiting for on this assclown of a villain. - AU verse Kevin Tran is like … I would say Diet Kevin Tran except I usually like diet drinks better than their counterparts, so I guess it’s more like … Vegan Chocolate Kevin Tran. I can see the resemblance, but the original has more flavor and more richness and doesn’t work for genocidal war criminals just to see hot women. My theory before this episode aired was Kevin’s a double agent for a group of hunters who have formed a resistance, led by Asa Fox and, eventually, Mary Winchester, and if we ever get an apocalypse episode written by Berens or Glynn, I might even be proved right (about the double agent part. The Asa Fox part is a stretch, I realize this). In the meantime, this was a total waste of the character. - Did b*cklemming just forget the show is about Sam? He had that one scene with Ketch which is super forgettable. In all his other scenes, he was just kind of there. It was like they were writing and would occasionally say, “We need to give Dean’s sidekick a line now.”

Good Things (several of which have nothing to do with b*cklemming)

-Cas’ sex hair is back. - I didn’t hate the Cas-Lucifer team up as much as I expected to. In fact, I thought the scene between them at the bar was the best in the episode. I unequivocally hated the way these writers – really all the writers – wrote Lucifer last season, but b*cklemming actually wrote some of my favorite Lucifer material in the entire show. Specifically I’m thinking of Lucifer (as played by Misha Collins) telling Amara she may defeat God but she will never be him – not a Lucifer redemption moment by any means, but certainly a moment where he gets to be something other than an entitled brat. It shows even though he hates God, he also admires him. You also see this in his reaction to finding out Kelly’s pregnant. She said he was excited because it was the first time he created anything, which I remember thinking was a really in-character reaction to have. This explains why he’s so interested in whatever Cas has to say about Jack too.      However, I don’t want my enthusiasm for dad!Lucifer to be taken as me wanting a redemption arc for this fucker, because I don’t. I don’t hate the idea of him almost being redeemed. We the audience are sympathetic to Jack, and once Jack realizes he can be good, he’s going to want to redeem his father, Luke Skywalker-style. I like the idea of Jack trying to “save” Lucifer – “There is still good in him, I know it!” – and for Lucifer to kind of go along with it until something happens and Lucifer reveals himself to be as entitled and jealous and petty and power-hungry as he’s always been, and then Sam and Mary or maybe Cas get to kill him. If we’re sticking with the Star Wars parallels, then I want it to be like the moment Han Solo offers Kylo Ren a second chance and Kylo stabs him instead. I like Lucifer, but at the end of the day, fuck him. - Related, I also didn’t hate Mark Pellegrino. He’s never been a bad actor, he’s just been a shallow one, but that’s the material he had to work with. When he has decent lines and isn’t smirking around evil-for-the-sake-of-evil dialogue, I find I want to punch him less.      More specifically, he did a good job posturing while also showing the audience he is terrified without all his power. That little flinch when Asmodeus enters the bar, before he pretends to relax and starts casually threatening Asmodeus, was great. - We finally got acknowledgement the universe is running out of angels. - Guys. Rowena might still be alive. If Ketch is alive and Rowena isn’t, I might stop watching this show. - Cas’ sex hair is back. -Speaking of Cas, I was concerned he wouldn’t tell Dean he was working with Lucifer because he thought Dean would be mad or because he would want Sam and Dean to stay away because danger or because Lucifer talked him out of it or some bullshit like that and it would be last season all over again. I’m so, so glad they didn’t go that route even though it means we get more shapeshifting (voiceshifting?) Prince of Hell nonsense. - Lucifer calling Asmodeus the runt of the litter made me feel better. At least b*cklemming admit theirs is the worst Prince of Hell. - “Honey, you’re not Lucifer. My ex-husband’s Lucifer.” - Did I mention Cas’ sex hair is back? - I liked the witch and on the one hand wish she’d had more to do but on the other hand am worried b*cklemming would have killed her if she had another scene. - When Asmodeus referenced a hunter in his payroll, I thought, ‘I bet it’s David Haydn-Jones.’ I love being right. - Dean asking if Ketch’s tattoo was a stick-on. - The shots at the playground are all beautiful. Good job Richard Speight, Jr.! - The fight scenes are. So. Good. - Seriously. Cas’ sex hair. It’s back.

Questions I have

- Where did Lucifer get that jacket? - Why do the demons call Jack “the Jack”? - How does Ketch know Sam and Dean are looking for Jack? Sam said he reached out to “every hunter we know” but firstly, how many of those are left that aren’t dead and secondly, who of them knows Ketch but doesn’t know he’s evil? - How does Lucifer know Kevin? I thought he was locked up during Kevin’s story line.

Now let’s talk about Ketch.

I’m so used to bad writing from this pair, I didn’t even see the Ketch reveal coming. Based on their not-great track record, here is a list of things b*cklemming would totally do: - Write a less-evil twin for a dead character. - Have Ketch torture and kill a bunch of witches – to find Rowena – so he can find and kill her – because she’s a witch. - Have Arthur Ketch’s less-evil twin Alexander Ketch still ask about Mary even though he’s never met her. - Look like they’re about to give Ketch a redemption arc.

So I totally bought it. 

Like … good job? Good for them for fooling me by being, like, the lowest bar of competent. It’s sort of like how I spent all of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince thinking Malfoy couldn’t be up to anything because he’d spent the five previous books showing up way too often to make the same bad jokes about Harry and Co. over and over. It’s not as good as writing well the first time, but points for improving.

And at first I was excited because I thought – and still think – Ketch will make a much better villain when not loaded down with Men of Letters baggage because the Men of Letters were cartoonishly stupid and Ketch was actually threatening when not anywhere near them. But … where are they going with this?      k-vichan pointed out this episode undoes both Mary’s victories from last season – knocking Lucifer into AU World and killing Ketch. Which is typical b*cklemming. To be fair, we knew Lucifer had to come back, but what could they possibly do with Ketch they haven’t already done? His villain arc ended perfectly – Mary killed him in defense of Dean. That was literally the best way he could have possibly died. It was the cathartic, climactic moment of last season’s emotional arc.      I’ve seen some people suggest Dean will get to kill Ketch now and – no. No. Killing Ketch was always going to be Mary’s victory, and I’ll be disappointed in the show and the writers if they take that away from her. 

All in all, a mixed bag of an episode. Which is disappointing after a string of nothing but good episodes this season from everyone but b*cklemming. (Ish. I’m afraid we may not be looking at the cowboy episode rationally. Send Help: Addicted to Roleplay and Chipotle

Greetings from Earth! First time poster to this blog and stoked to meet some new partners. My name is Chris and I'm a male nurse (Yo, you're going to get some medically accurate roleplay) in his late twenties. I have a lovely wife and two stupidly handsome animals (Pictures of the animals available on request) but manage to maintain a pretty active roleplay life due to the fact that I work nights. The Basics: I tell everyone that I'm a professional. I try to reply 1-3 times a week and the length of posts depends on amount of characters in play. If I'm going to take longer, I always try to let you know. I'm willing to write male and female characters and focus on M/F as the male and F/F. M/M just isn't my thing, sorry y'all. My limits include pedophilia, rape, and animal abuse. Anything else can be discussed. I prefer e-mail for writing (Chrisx104@gmail.com) but have Discord for plotting (NurseBatman#3674). If we get along really well, you can convince me into discord roleplay. The text limit just drives me nuts. I do use faceclaims pretty aggressively. Is there anything else? Central time zone?

Onto the roleplay stuff. I'll start with originals and then dive into fandoms. I put extra *s by the lines that I will literally lose my mind if you approach me about. Searching hard! -The Social Media Age****** A m/f line that I've given a little thought to, looking for someone to write a young woman that is pretty much making her living being an instagram model/fitness person, etc. I think the proper term is *Influencer*. Meets and starts dating a successful guy with no presence online, the two falling for each other but at odds over their differing attitudes towards the world. -This American Life Something set in the 1970s, focusing on a roadtrip. A group of teenagers leave their small town behind to head out west. I love this time period. Can be supernatural, supernatural lite (think Twin Peaks weirdness) or totally natural. -Stranger Things inspired A group of four to six friends enjoy their last summer together in a remote town as strangeness begins to unfurl. I'd be willing to set this in the present but think it would be way more fun in the 70s or 80s. I have an idea for one of the kids having lost a sibling in a strange way when they were young and possibly some sort of cult in town.

Fandoms!

-Star Wars**

I know Reylo is all the rage these days, as is Qi'Ra/Han. But, man ALIVE, I really want something focusing on the core four: Luke, Leia, Han, and, ya boy, Chewie. Something taking place in that three year gap between New Hope and Empire as they work among the rebellion. Strange new worlds, getting into scrapes, sharply running from the empire, avoiding Vader, bounty hunters, and all sorts of things. This time period is far from explored and we can really thrive in the galaxy. Primarily I want to focus on the budding relationship between Han and Leia and Luke's training, pre-Yoda. In a perfect world, I'd want to write Han and Chewie (If anyone thinks Chewie is just a NPC, get out my face) while my partner takes on Leia and Luke. I'd be willing to switch out Chewie for Luke if need be, I guess? We could also split up C3PO and R2. I also would enjoy writing a young Amilyn Holdo and a few other soldiers. Let's real build out the resistance and delve into the 'WARS' part of those big yellow letters that never get enough attention. On top of all of that, I also have an original love interest in mind for Luke if someone else plays him! She's a spitfire. Alternatively, I'd be down for writing something set in the clone wars. Perhaps two jedi that broke the order's relationship laws and then survived Order 66 together? -Preacher Seriously. Love this show, love this comic. Would happily write Jesse or Cassidy against Tulip. Just definitely looking for a Tulip -The Boys Would love to write Hughie against Starlight! Currently working my way through the season that just dropped. -Marvel -I will love you forever if you write an Elektra against my Daredevil. They are toxic and in love and I love it. Whether it be the comics or the Netflix series, I don't care. Someone please write me an Elektra. Netflix did a good job of portraying this one -Alternatively, I'd also be happy to write against a Black Widow, either with Daredevil. They were a mainstay OTP in the comics in the 90s and I'd love to write against Scarlet's Black Widow. -Has anyone seen the trailer for the neverendingly delayed New Mutants movie? I would love to write something based on that horror aspect of the mutant universe.* -I'd love to write an older MCU Peter Parker (like college) running across a MCU version of Black Cat. Or just a Spiderman roleplay in general. I've always wanted to write Peter but have never gotten the chance! I have a ton of ideas for this, plus faceclaims for a few of the villains. Would also be willing to play him against Zendaya's MJ, Spidergwen, or Silk (Deepcut)**************************** (I so badly want to write Peter) -One of the pairings that was done for a time in the comics was Star Lord against Kitty Pryde and it was actually a lot of fun. If anyone would want to do a MCU version of this, I would so *DOWN* to play Quill, Xmen hijinks a plenty in space -If you write Jessica Jones, I'd be willing to write almost anyone against her (NOT KILGRAVE). Just let me know. I'd be super down to write Luke Cage or maybe Matt Murdock. I do a mean John Constantine, which, let's face it, is a cross company illustration of the two most terrible people together -Hawkguys! I would love to either write Clint against Kate Bishop (This would be a slightly skewed MCU vibe) or Kate against America Chavez. I would really love to do either of these lines. Or a poly version if someone is willing! -I'd love to write Logan as an active member of the MCU Avengers, possibly as a partner in crime/wetworks/murder with Black Widow. Those two could cause some mayhem. -Honestly, any X-men relationship could be sold to me. Just try it. I would love to find a Kitty for Piotr, a Rogue for Remy, or almost anyone for Kurt.

-DC I'd love to write Batman against Catwoman, please. Or John Constantine against literally almost anyone -Hannibal I've been dying to do a sort of season 4 for a while now, focused on Clarice Starlings interaction with Will Graham and later Hannibal Lecter. Just need to find someone willing to create an original style Clarice. -Resident Evil I'd like to write Leon against Claire Redfield or Jill Valentine in an original outbreak or a new one. I know this is an old school fandom but I'm a diehard fan. -Star Trek Okay, so first up, I am not the most well versed Trekkie in the world. Never watched any of the TV shows but am a massive fan of the trio of rebooted films and would love to give Kirk or Bones a try against Uhura, Dr. Eve, or maybe a female Vulcan OC? Hit me with ideas! -The Matrix Another obscure fandom. Maybe just an original crew, set during the movies, after, or an AU where they're the only survivors of Zion? Im not sure but I could plot something out!

-Uncharted I'd love to write Chloe Frazier against Nadine Ross, continuing their adventures. I'm pretty wide open on what we can do with this one. RANDOM CRACK SHIPS! Caught in a Web: I would love to write an iteration (Daniel Craig or an original) of James Bond/007 against a non superhero version of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow. Spy vs spy shenanigans as two people working for different governments. Totally impossibly but putting it just in case: Did anyone see all that Wonder Woman/Lara Croft art that was floating around the internet earlier this year? I would love to dive into that. I'd prefer to write Lara but I'm definitely not picky. If you made it this far, you're a hero and I owe you a beer. Hope to hear from some great writers! Let's create something *EPIC*

I literally sit and read how you interact with others for HOURS and seeing you and a couple of the people you write with gave me the inspiration to create an indie blog for my bb Reyes. That being said, I've never had an indie rp before but I've figured the basics with the rules, verses, etc. Could you please give me some suggestions on how to approach people or get this thing started? HELL YEAH OKIE DOKIE first thing first: the best way to learn how to indie rp is just to follow a bunch of people and sort of pick and choose the different techniques you like to resemble. that what i did. i came from a long experience of closed group rping with no formatting, and just sort of floated with the indie trends that came and out, and kept the ones i like. i’m gonna tell you how I consider indie rping, which isn’t law or bible or anything, but this is what i look for when i’m looking to follow people!

first, the technical shit

RULES. i’m gonna go over things you say you already know, because there are some. hidden things that people sort of silently expect. in your rules, you must have your name/alias, your pronouns, your age (the terms ‘minor’ or ‘18+’ are sufficient, you don’t need to give your exact age but you NEED to tell people if you’re a minor or not), and your triggers (again, no detail necessary, just tell us what we should tag for you). these are the necessities and the rest is up to you. make your rules clear and concise, and on the short side. it helps to bold important things so people can skim and find them easily. personally, i like seeing people’s shipping policies. bc i’m a shipping slut. are you single ship? multiship? do you prefer not to ship? are you exclusive?

SELECTIVITY. on that note. let people know about your selectivity. do you want to play with anyone who follows you? do you only want to play with mutual followers (people you follow who follow you back)? i, as well as (almost) everyone i follow, are mutuals only. don’t feel guilty if you want to follow this route, and don’t let people talk you into playing with people you don’t want to play with. this blog is yours and your time is yours. spend it how you choose.

EXCLUSIVITY. along the same vein, let people know about your policy on exclusivity – which basically means that there are certain blogs of characters and theirs is the only blog of that character with whom you will play. this is entirely up to you. personally, i don’t do it and i never will. but be sure to let people know if you do! make sure to be honest. make sure you’re comfortable with your rules.

then, the aesthetic shit

REPRESENTATION. the first glance. the first eye contact. generally, this is the mobile preview. have a cool looking mobile banner! it attracts the eye! you don’t need to be a photoshop god for this, either. minimalism is in. a dark screenshot of your character that blends in with the color of your mobile background is hella neat. make sure the color is eye-friendly. black, white, cream, soft tones. if a mobile preview is lime green or shocking blue, i won’t give it a second look. My Eyes, They Bleed. then make sure you have SOMEWHERE on your mobile preview the bare minimum of your blog’s explanation. it doesn’t need to be long. in fact, i tend to like short ones. minimalism, man. for example, mine: ‘multimuse rp blog: dragon age and mass effect canon and ocs’. i’m saying what this blog is: an rp blog. i’m saying what KIND of rp blog: a multimuse. what fandoms i cater to: dragon age and mass effect. what characters you expect to find here: canon and ocs. sometimes people will put their name, too. (also, warn people if you have an autoplay. just write ‘ap’ or ‘autoplay’. people know.)

REPRESENTATION PART 2. piggybacking on all that: promos. gotta have a promo. this is how people find you, and how you can spread the word about your cool new blog. (tag it with the audiences you want to attract. such as: mass effect rp, mass effect roleplay, bioware rp, bioware roleplay, star wars rp, etc etc. the mass effect fandom isn’t all that huge. consider expanding with crossovers to other space fandoms, such as star wars and star trek. we’re buddies.) it can be as simple as the icon promo trend, where you have a horizontal line of icons of your character followed by ‘like/reblog if you’re interested in playing with (character name)! written by (your name).’ it can be that chill. sometimes it can be dramatic. just make sure it’s tasteful. try to avoid gaudy. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS (this is my pet peeve) INCLUDE YOUR CHARACTER’S NAME AND THE FANDOM NAME. i die inside every time i have no idea who this promo is for.

THEME. the second glance. your blog’s handshake. first – and sometimes last – impression. same rules as the preview and the promo, make it tasteful or make it minimalist. make it easy to follow. if you’re not confident in your aesthetic or ps skills, the white blogs with a simple pic of your character in the sidebar is in right now. leave it open to interpretation. theme-hunter is where i get all my themes, for the most part. if you want some cool theme suggestions, let me know! you may end up interested in html through theme aesthetic and wANTING IT TO BE PERFECT. like me. hehe. anywho – you’ll see a lot of Hyper Aesthetic Themes. try not to get worried about them. the most important thing is that your links to your rules, verses, dossier (if you have one), and ask are clear. the writing is easy to read.

also, the replying shit

FORMATTING. okay so formatting is a Minefield right now. personally, i really enjoy formatting! my formatting trick is: twenty spaces before each paragraph to simulate tabs, bolding quotation marks and putting a space between the marks and the dialogue, ( doing this to parentheses and quite frankly using Way too many parentheses ), BOLDING AND CAPSING emotive words or phrases, italicizing things for emphasis, using small font (and sometimes tiny font). but DON’T overdo it. still, the point is legibility. it’s your choice to use formatting at all. i like it a lot, it helps me Feel the writing and reply. it’s also your choice to use small or tiny font, but… i’ma be honest. i really really do prefer when people use small or tiny font. people are pushing back against tiny font bc it can be really hard to read, so i tend to just use small font (unless my partner uses tiny font). to small font (on pc): select all the text, ctrl shift minus sign. to use tiny font: use small font, then ctrl comma. 

ICONNING. again, another minefield. as we speak, rp icons are getting smaller and smaller. my icons at 80x80 with a 2px border, and i often times use a psd. if you get your icons from somewhere, credit that place. i frequently make my own, but not always. as a personal favor, don’t go smaller than 75px… the icons… they’re shrinking…

SPEED. go at your own speed! i cannot stress the importance of this. i’m currently suffering from depression and some Shit, so i may be on the dash a lot, but my reply speed is frequently outstripped by passing snails. don’t write if you’re not feeling it. don’t feel pressured to do it. personally, the majority of the fun of rping is plotting with your partner and obsessing over your character. people love to see people enthusiastic about their kid. that’s why they followed you. bc they love your kid, too. if you have a thread you’re not feeling, be honest! TALK TO YOUR PARTNER.

COMMUNICATION. on that note! get to know your rp partners. love them. cherish them. tell them they’re wonderful. tell them when you’re not feeling a thread. don’t suffer in silence. drop threads. treat yoself. also, follow ALL THE PEOPLE. they may not follow you back. don’t tug at them if they don’t. follow people and make sure you have examples of your writing on your page, even if it’s just a long headcanon or drabble. like a cover letter. 

WRITING. third person. i think i can be pretty confident about this: only third person. i use present tense for the most part, but present or past tense. sometimes there are oneliners (replies that are usually just dialogue, maybe with a lil but of narrative for actions, usually spur of the moment and dropped after the moment is gone). there are short paras (generally 1-3 paragraphs of varying sizes). there are long paras (4-6 paras, usually for plotting). there are Novella (6+ for the Intense Future Tolkiens i can’t do this i’m a dr seuss). 

TAGGING. can be pretty simple. as a multi, i have too many characters to have thorough tagging systems. a lot of people have different tags for like. aesthetic, musing, visage, headcanons, etc. mine is simple. each character has an in character thread tag: * ｡✧ ━ ⦅ character: scott. ⦆. also, a musing tag: * ｡✧ ━ ⦅ musing: scott. ⦆. a headcanon tag: * ｡✧ ━ ⦅ headcanon: scott. ⦆. sometimes a ship tag: * ｡✧ ━ ⦅ scott & liam: just frame the halves and call them brothers. ⦆. and you MUST have an out of character tag, where it’s just you talking, and you must tag every post of just you talking with it: * ｡✧ ━ ⦅ out of character. ⦆. it must be clear. you can make them fancy and pretty like this. i like them. it’s not necessary. also: tag any triggers. important. search your partners’ rules for their triggers. if someone asks you to tag a trigger, do it without a second thought.

lastly, the important shit

HAVE FUN! we’re all here for the same reason. we love mass effect. WE LOVE SPACE. there will always be aggression and elitism and hurt feelings in the indie rp community. always. try not to let it bring you down. play nice. kindergarten rules. enjoy!
