             “——I did not!”  Or perhaps he did.  He had no recollection of it so he’s obviously not at fault here.  ( Or so he fully believes. )  “It was cold,  and I was freezing my bollocks off.  Apologizes for that if I did manage to hog them.  But it was bloody cold.  Not my fault that this inn had only one bed.”

“——Merlin!  Merliiin!  Merlinny?  Merlin!”  He cajoled at him,  drunk,  the ale sloshing in his tankard.  He finished the alcohol quickly before making his way to him.  Both hands smacked on Merlin’s cheeks;  not too hard,  but not too soft either and yanks him forward to kiss him.  “Muwah!”  And then he leans back,  breaking the kiss.  “The fates have brought me luck and favoured me with their gifts!  I got tipped a lot!  Let me buy you a round!”

             “——this — this is nice,  isn’t it?  A great bonfire in the middle of a nice and totally not foreboding forest or dark woods.   Where we don’t stick out like sore thumbs.”  He fumbled around with his words,  staring into the roaring flames of the bonfire.  He lets out a small awkward laugh,  perhaps an uncomfortable once as he glances at the shadows:  “Whaaaaat the fuck was that?  Was that just — think it was just my shadow.  My disproportion shadow,  oh my god,  my shadow looks fucking funky.”
