((I’ve got a migraine today so I’ll be off and on a lot, I also might not be terribly talkative ooc. But until I feel like doing other stuff, here’s a bunch of random headcanons under the cut))

Oogie was raised in foster care from when he was born to when he was 18. He jumped houses a lot and could never stay in one house for more then a handful of years

He was a doctor for 10 years before his gambling addiction and alcoholism cost him the job

He originally bought his house to fit four people in it, as he hoped to one day have a family. Those plans fell through though and now he lives in the house alone. He lets Lock, Shock and Barrel stay in the three bedrooms whenever they feel like it.

No one is allowed in the basement of his house, not even Lock, Shock and Barrel. He actually turned the basement into his bedroom though typically he just passes out on the couch

The only thing he can cook that doesn’t come out completely disgusting is soup/stew and pot roasts in crock pots, typically he just eats out or orders in though.

His infamous “snake and spider stew” is actually steak and cider stew which is a stew he makes in the crock pot that has steak cut into long thing stripes(to look like snakes) and apple cider(alcoholic usually) in it along with potatoes, cut apple pieces and whatever vegetables he thinks should go in it.

He is extremely nihilistic

His favorite bug type is beetles with the Histeridae Beetle as his favorite class

After Halloween Oogie’s favorite Holiday is 4th of July because he can buy fireworks. He likes the noise fireworks make and will use them in his schemes.

His cell is an Iphone 6 with the screen cracked all to hell. He doesn’t really care about keeping up with technology and refuses to give this phone up until it’s deemed unusable by him

His car is an old dark green pick up truck that looks like it’ll fall apart at any moment but actually drives like a dream. Oogie often lets Lock, Shock and Barrel ride in the bed of the truck

!!!! AHHH THANK U FOR SO MANY FUN QUESTIONS OH MY GOSH!!! :']]] Haha I wrote these last night and I was just spinning around in my spinny chair like :D while writing these HHJWJABHS I HAVE ALOT OF FUN. I REALLY DO LOLOL

🎁 PRESENT - what types of presents would they be most happy to receive? are they good at gift giving?

Colin puts huge value on handmade gifts! It's definitely DEFINITELY the type of gift he'd appreciate the most!!.

Even if your not good at crafts or making gifts he'd still be over the moon about it haha! You could literally draw a smiley face on a walnut and glue straw legs and arms on it and he'd get teary eyed over it HAHA!! He would be like, REALLY HAPPY, to receive a gift from anyone at all LOL! but he does really really treasure handmade gifts most of all :'].

In terms of gift GIVING- COLIN IS PERHAPS THE KING OF IT LOLOLOL!!!

Colin will put alot of work into giving a gift to someone! All of his gifts are handmade and it can take him weeks or even months to make in advance depending on what he's making!!

One of the reasons why he's so good at it is because he will probably cyber stalk that person to find out what they like LMAO!! (or if he knows the person better he might go into their search history too see what kinda stuff they were looking at hhgheha...) On the rare occasion that he atcually knows someone on a personaly HEALTHY level he'd probably have a good understanding of what that person's interests are/what kind of aesthetics they're into!.

While Colin does have a preference for cute pastel aesthetics, he has a HUGE respect for others aesthetic preferences! If your someone who's into punk styles he'd probably customize a leather jacket for you, or if your not into a particular style of outfits at all he'd probably make you a custom keychain or a phone case!

🚆 TRAIN - what is their answer to the trolley problem?

GAHA OHH THE GOOD OLD TROLLEY PROBLEM EHHBW.... If you were to ask him what his anwser would be to the trolley problem he'd probably ask you if there's anyway to just save them all and if you said no he'd just be " ohh man that sucks (๑´•.̫ • `๑)....kill that one guy then! (✿^‿^)"

🌠 SHOOTING STAR - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

He'd probably wish for something REALLY PATHETICALLY SAD LOLLLLLLLL.... something like ' I wish no one could ever dislike me ' or ' I wish I had the charisma and confidence to talk to anyone no matter the situation '. REAL FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS COLIN 🙄🙄🙄🙄 WHAT ABOUT WORLD HUNGER BOY 😭😭😭😭😭

☁️ CLOUD - a soft headcanon

Colin is a deeply, grossly, mushy romantic person 😭😭😭😭😭 he would LOVE pda and would want to kiss and hug everywhere no matter the place. Like I imagine he'd like to play dumb little... romantic games with his partner like, when their driving every time they stop at a red light or a stop sign they kiss or something like that GHRDH.

I'm not sure if this counts as soft or creepy but he would absolutely 100% know every like and dislike his partner would have, he'd do..questionable things too like: study their handwriting/typing patterns so he can copy it perfectly, memorize their daily schedules, He might even make a 'cosplay' of them if he gets really down bad GAHA. To him he's only trying to become closer to them but to like. literally anyone else I think creepy LOLLL.

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

OOOHH!!!! This is such a cute question oh my gosh!! 🥺 Gaha!

Colin MOSTLY doesn't believe in love at first sight!! Surprisingly!!! His disbelief comes more out of insecurity then rational though, he'd be scared that if love at first sight WAS real and it DID happen to him, he wouldn't live up to that person's expectations ( aka his appearance is alot prettier then his personality LOL ). He also just doesn't think that could ever happen to him in the first place and the thought of other people finding love at first sight makes him feel kinda jealous so he avoids thinking about it GAHA!! ( Slightly related but if Colin were to get into a scenario where he did end up kidnapping Mc and they ended up in a romantic relationship ( either that be through like. STOCKHOLM SYNDROME OR NOT LLHGGG ) he would claim that "it was love at first sight! ♡" even though that really just means he decided Mc would be an easy kidnap target when he seen them LOL).

The traits that he looks for in a partner are all kinda basic tbh! If not a little sad LOL. He's never had anyone who could be emotionally present for him before so he has alot of trouble atcually coping and dealing with the strong emotions he feels, so he'd want someone who's patient and non judgmental!.

However the biggest thing he would want would be to feel that the person atcually likes him back LOL😭, If he gets delusional enough he can 'convince' himself that the person likes him back ( this works for any scenario, like if he has Mc kidnapped and he ends up really liking them even though Mc CLEARLY DOES NOT LIKE HIM- he'll get real delusional about how they love him back- even if deep down he knows they don't. Also if HE'S the one kidnapped- he'll develop a stockholm syndrome attachment to his captor very quickly hhhhhhhhhh).

Besides that he honestly doesn't seek out specific traits! He's really really open to LIKE. ANYONE WHO WILL LIKE HIM BACK LOL!!!

Is it too basic if I say play board games and other puzzle games together? Kokichi just has a natural ability to think outside the box and cheat the systems while Shuichi plays by the rules but is really good at coming up with the best strategies and thinking scenarios! They might even play DnD as well lmao I'd see them having a really good time with that!

Who does chores around the house?

Ooohh definitely Shuichi lmao, Kokichi is a brat, he needs to be dragged around to do literally anything lmao

Who’s the better cook?

Actually I think this would be Kokichi! Shuichi is actually very clumsy with his hands and Kokichi had to do a lot of his own cooking and taking care of himself growing up, so he actually turned out to be a decent cook!

Who’s the funniest drunk?

Lol probably Shuichi, alcohol makes you more loose so Shuichi is definitely the one that goes through a bigger change. Kokichi thinks it's hilarious and also kinda hot >w>

Do they have kids?

I think both of them would like kids, actually!! I'd even go as far as to say they'd have at least two!

Do they have any traditions?

April Fools is always a w a r in the saiouma house lmao. Kokichi tries to hide as many pranks and tricks as possible around the house and Shuichi has to use his detective skills to find as many of them as possible!

What do they fight about?

Kokichi's lying is definitely something Shuichi tries to correct cause sometimes it's just not healthy. He understands Kokichi's point of view but Kokichi does have real lying issues sometimes.

What would they do if they found their paring tag on tumblr? (If they have one)

Kokichi would absolutely r e v e l on it, he goes through pages and pages and pages and he checks the tag constantly cause "oh my god these are great I want all of these to happen- is that matching outfits? Oh my god we have to try that out-" Meanwhile Shuichi is completely embarrassed lmao he only peeks at it and dies

Who cried at the end of Marley and me?

As emo as Shuichi is, I don't think he'd be the type to cry during movies much! So it would be Kokichi lol, especially because there was an animal involved, Kokichi has a weak spot for animals 😔

Who always wins at Mario kart?

Hohohoho, Kokichi, definitely, he's very competitive and he developed strategies and cheats to assure his victory lmao. Shuichi is a mediocre player at best 😂

One thing I like about this ship?

Kokichi fucking needs someone to understand him man, and I think Shuichi is a good option for him! I also just like the healing aspect of all the distrust that was directed towards Kokichi q-q I just want people to try and better understand what his actions were fkskgkdg

One thing I don’t like about the ship?

I think you might need to fix a lot about Shuichi's character to properly work towards what I just said, unlike Hajime with Komaeda for example, I don't think Shuichi was trying to understand Ouma as much as he should've.

((After rewatching Night.mare Before Chris.tmas I realize Oogie uses nicknames A LOT so that’s something I’m going to incorporate into rp’s from now on. I feel it might be a way for him to not actually have to remember names, just a fun thing he likes to do and a way for him to keep a distance from others. I feel like if he doesn’t use nicknames with someone that shows either extreme respect, fear, anger or a close relation to someone))

Oogie Boogie’s a Scorpio with his birthday on November 19th

He use to make childrens toys when he was younger but now he uses his old toy making skills for cheating and scheming.

He wasn’t always Oogie Boogie. He use to be Tim Page or Doctor Page as he use to so proudly remind everyone.

He use to be a surgeon at the hospital but after the death of one his patients his addiction to gambling and alcohol got worse. Until one day his medical license was revoked and he lost his job. He now relies solely on gambling and stealing as his source of income.

He’s Biromantic, Bisexual and also a TOTAL CREEP. So he most likely will flirt. He’ll think it’s charming but spoiler alert it’s not.

He has a fondness for snakes and anything horror related

He adores scaring people for “fun” and for the rush of power it gives him

He’s an adrenaline junkie. Though he doesn’t like putting his life on the line he loves the high that comes from an adrenaline rush.

Very few people know this but Boogie is actually a fantastic chess player. He even has a chess table still in his house that when he’s not out he’ll play it against himself.

Whenever he is home it’s not uncommon to hear Jazz or Swing music coming from his house. Jazz and Swing music are his two favorite music genres

He has a secret fondness for children. Though really that fondness just means he won’t hospitalize a child after he steals or cons them out of all their money.

The only people allowed in Oogie’s house are Lock, Shock and Barrel. And even they’re only allowed in a select few rooms.

Occasionally he’ll still perform back room surgeries. But that’s only if the other person is extremely desperate and willing to take a gamble with their life.
