                 ▸ Billy sighed as he pushed open the door to the library, his bookbag hanging off his shoulder by one strap and his whole form looking exhausted. At first, Billy had been rather ecstatic for this trip with the Brotherhood, going out and finding other mutants and recruiting them their their cause. He’d been looking forward to helping people and maybe even meeting others around his own age. Sliding his parents some lie about a special school trip and the school one about going to visit family with his parents, he’d set out on this journey with high hopes and good intentions.

                 ▸ Now... He would like to just get a chance to rest.

                 ▸ Despite how their leader had dolled up the trip, the reality was far less enjoyable. The actual recruiting was not what he’d thought it’d be. They usually left late at night when he’d rather be sleeping and went to go stand around in shady buildings as Magneto met with creepy looking mutants all over the place, apparently collecting information, though he never felt inclined to share it. Any mutants they did happen to meet were not interested in being recruited and definitely none of them were teenagers. Even worse, he kept having to share tiny little motel rooms with a handful of other Brotherhood members that had no consideration for him or his things.

                 ▸ He’d spent a good twenty minutes staring at the homework his teachers had given him prior to leaving, unable to concentrate because there was some kind of argument going on around him. Finally, fed up, he’d collected his things and stormed out while declaring he would return later. Magneto had told them to stay put and would probably have Billy’s head when he got back, but it didn’t even matter to him anymore.

                 ▸ “Hi,” He mumbled, coming up to the desk and greeting the woman behind it. “You guys don’t have a study room in here, do you?”
