And Lilli was just on her way to her favorite bar with her favorite vampiric barkeeper. She hadn't been there in a while, and had randomly decided to visit. But something made the mage halt on her way. A noise. And she looks to the side, looking over to a dark part of the street... and there it was. A cat. A gorgeous cat. As far as she was aware this might be a... maine coon? And a beautiful orange one even.

But she hesitates. Not moving over to the animal just yet. She knows some animals had... some fear of her when she approached. Lilli guessed it was the shadows, that followed her very move, and the animals felt that. So yeah. She had been scratched and bit before, so she is careful when approaching pets like that.

And yet she can't but think that a cat like this must have a home. Maine coons are expensive. They aren't usually strays, right? After a moment the woman starts to move carefully towards the feline. Slowly, as to not startle it, and slightly crouched down while holding a hand out, and getting closer.

" Pspspspsps! Here kitty. Come here- "

The mage tries to lure the cat. Oh, and now that she was closer to it, she could tell it's fur looked so soft. She wants to pet it so badly!

" Are you lost...? Perhaps? "

Ah, so that's why he had those shades. Made sense! Even though she didn't had the feeling that she was caught in his eyes... Like being hypnotised. Is that even possible while he isn't trying? Lilli wouldn't even know what it would feel like.

" Oh! I see! Now makes sense. And zhere I zhought I had offended you, heh. "

The mage laughs a little. Though she did raise a brow, and looked at Antonio again when he told her what he was. So not exactly human... which shouldn't be a surprise actually if he was a friend of Bill. Lilli also eyes him again. There were no obvious signs of him being a cat... except maybe his eyes.

" I never heard of a Cat Sidhe before! But zhat's so cool! ... Does zhat mean you can turn into a cat? "

That sounded a lot like Leofric. Even though the dog seemed to be much more aware of his abilities, than what Antonio said about his own. So the woman guessed that he had discovered his true nature not to long ago.

" Vell, isn't it zhen even more exciting to try to fully understand it? To discover your talents? "

She found stuff like that exciting. But of course it can be also bothersome to others.

" You sure did teach zhose two a lesson! So I vould say you got a very good grasp on zhat talent already! "

Might as well give him a compliment. But then the mage noticed that she hadn't told Antonio about what's different about her. He had told her, so she might as well do too to make it even.

" Oh, by zhe vay. You said you sensed something about me too, yeah? It's because I'm actually a mage... but a human one, heh. "

"I think I would like to see that," Antonio said, with a small smirk then, as he thoughtfully drummed his fingers on his cane, "I just thought today you wouldn't want to dirty your hands with such common filth."

But now he seemed to finally be done with them. He would leave them where they were for the time being. Now that they had seen what he was capable of, he doubted they would try anything stupid.

So they were just left on the ground as Antonio and Lilli walked onwards.

"I will admit that was why I put my shades on," Antonio said, "When I saw you staring, I grew concerned that I was catching you in my own without meaning to. I can't just go hypnotising strangers carelessly."

But he thought.

"Sort of. I'm actually some kind of cat being known as a Cat Sidhe. They have some magical ability and enhance skills that one might already have," Antonio said, "Seeing as I was doing magic tricks and stage hypnosis before I discovered what I really was, perhaps it helped amplify those by giving me access to actual magic."

He shrugged.

"I still don't fully understand how it all works, but I am making the best of my talents. I suppose I would be a wizard or some kind of mage in Dungeons and Dragons though. Normal stage hypnosis is often done willingly, for fun, and through ordinary means. What I did was more magic than anything, in order to push my will onto theirs and teach them a lesson."

Lilli sang along to the music blaring into her ears under her helmet, while riding with her motorcycle through empty streets. It must be late already, because she hadn't seen any cars in a while. And neither any people... Not that there shouldn't be any people around. She was literally in the middle of nowhere. No houses even close. Only trees, and fields. Perfect for riding, and vibing to her favorite songs in peace.

" Fuck you and your friends that I'll never see again Everybody but your dog, you can all fuck off~🎵 "

The mage was even rocking back and forth on her vehicle, while continuing singing along... But then she turned a corner... And suddenly she saw a person standing in the middle of the street.

" I swear I meant to mean the best when it ended Even tried to bite my tongue when you start- "

" SHIT- "

She almost screams, and rips her bike around to avoid the person, just to not being able to keep it upright, and fall with it to the ground, where she slided a little with it until both came finally to a stop. Oh, boy... Thankfully she was wearing gear today, because that would have hurt like shit. And the woman laid there for a moment, making sure nothing was broken, before she almost sprang to her feet, and made her way over to said person that she almost ran over... And her body language was speaking for itself before she raised her voice. Yeah, someone was a little pissed.

" BIST DU DUMM ODER SO?!? Du stehst MITTEN auf der Straße! Bist du verrückt?!? "

And Lilli starts to hiss at them in german, while ripping the helmet from her head. Not caring a bit if the other understood her or not. Even if they didn't, it's probably understandable that she wasn't happy by her tone only.

It was really not to unusual for her to be out and about at this hour. At this point Lilli's sleep shedule was so fucked up, that it made no sense to her to try and change it. Besides, a lot of her 'unusual' friends were nocturnal anyway. So it was easier anyway to hang out with them.

But the mage hadn't expected that many people to be around at this hour. That's why she had accidentally walked into someone. Ah. Just a lady walking her dog. Shouldn't be to unusual. Even though it was quite late. And- Why the hell was she wearing shades at night? And that dog... Does it have red eyes?!? That reminded her a little of Leofric.

Then the animal approached though, she takes a step back. Not in fear, but out of... caution. Animals didn't much liked her, so it was very normal for her at this point that cats hissed at her, and dogs even tried to bite when they saw her as a threat.

" Uh. Don't vorry, I'm not planning to scream! I just uh... Animals don't really like me usually. Heh, dunno vhy. "

Oh, she knows why. But it's not something she is going to tell anyone. Hm, she might as well ask about the dog's eyes. Cause that didn't seemed like a normal puppy at all.

" So. Special dog, I guess, huh? Ain't everyday I see a dog vith red eyes. Actually, I only know one... 'dog' vho got red eyes. "

Oh yes. 'Dog' because, while Leofric is kinda a dog, he wasn't all that normal.

RIGHT!!! It was Russell!!! Why did she had the name 'Randall' in her mind? Nevermind. And he even remembered her! Nice! It's honestly been a while since they had first met, so she wouldn't have been offended if he hadn't recognized her at all.

" Yes! Zhat's right! Glad you remember me! "

The mage smiles, but then blinks when he mentioned a very familar name. Oh!!! He knows Bill! Had he mentioned that as well at their first meeting? She can't remember... Probably not because Lilli thinks she would remember that. Neither had the vampire told her about Russell... Or at least hadn't dropped his name when talking about him as far as she knows.

" Oh! You know Bill too? Heh, hope he just mentioned me in a positive vay! "

She jokes, and looked around for a moment, before tilting her head at Russell as she looks back at him.

" Vhat are you even doing out so late? You ain't coming from a bar, or? "

Of course he could ask her the same... But for her it's so normal to be up and about at this hour. Besides, she had just went to buy a snack, and was on her way back to her bike.

She had not been bored that much actually. In fact, he seemed to be very... friendly. The thief simply didn't knew what else they could talk about. Besides, if she wanted to talk to him, or if he wanted to, they sure aren't going to leave any time soon.

" Alright... Thank you. " " Hm. Perhaps he will spare me a moment of his time... "

Lilli mumbled, and turned to leave towards where Venigni had pointed out Geppetto to be. Hopefully he is up for a chat. The more information she gathered about the situation, the better. Maybe there will be something useful.

As Venigni wished her good luck, she turns towards him again for a moment, just to give a nod, and disappear out of sight.

"Ah, but of course."

Here he was, rambling and likely boring her to death! As if anyone could get bored with him, anyway. Perhaps a little overwhelmed? He can get a little bit verbose, after all!

With a quick clearing of his throat, the Prince of Krat tips his hat to her, giving a quick nod.

"Then don't let me take your time any further! If you need any help... or just to chat, I'll be here.

As for Geppetto, well..." another clearing of his throat. "He's usually very busy, and a bit... distant, lately. "

He never was a chatty person, but in the last few years he just got more and more closed off... but, honestly could anyone blame him for that? Venigni wasn't the only one accused of messing with all of Krat because of his puppets, after all!

"...but I'm sure he could take a few minutes to chat. Best of luck!"

Again. The thief found herself in a unfamilar place. Again, not the first time, and surely not her last. Standing now in a city she had never visited, Lilli was indeed lost. She also saw not a soul besides herself. Perhaps a dead place. Maybe a place in which she could find some valuable goods...?

A voice ripped her out of her thought's, and made the woman spin around... just to find a boy not standing to far away from her. Something on him was strange, though Lilli couldn't exactly tell what it was. Surely not his plain and emotionless way to talk to her, because she replied just the same, with her face also showing barely any reaction.

" I suppose I am... Do you mind telling me where I am? "

Perhaps she could get some information from this one. He was the only other person she saw around so far after all.

Lilli teases him with a smirk, and crosses her arms over her chest as she eyes the technican. Well, she really doesn't knows his crew that well, so she wasn't sure about the whole bumbling crew thing... She did saw a lot of security holes in their ship though.

" And vhile you are right about getting information from you guys vould be vay easier zhan anywhere else - because honestly? Your security is kinda shit. No offense. - I have no need for it. "

Not yet at least. Perhaps one day, Nero will prove to be usefull. Even if it was only for information. Perhaps even today. But she shouldn't make it to obvious that she is indeed looking for some kind of information.

" I mean, zhey just let me on your ship only because I saved your ass before! Heh, so no. Am not here for stealing information. I just saw your ship in zhe port, and zhought I come to say hello~! "

At least that was one reason.

It shouldn't exaclty be top secret information if something like that happened. Black holes are far from... inconspicuous after all. She just wanted to know if he knew a little more than all the 'rumors'.

She lilted, with her words slurred and while the vigilante laid on a parkbench. Schatten usually didn't drink while she was out as vigilante but... one drink happened... and then another. And now she was here. Staring at the nightsky... until Doc had approached her.

And after a moment she looked at him... Just to suddenly jump up. She did seemed a little wobbly on her feet, as she points at the man.

" OH IT'S YOUUUU!!! Zhe Doc-guy!!! "

At least she remembers him. Even in her drunken state.

" Hoooow are you doing, hmmm? Not-Not running into corpses today huh? Heh~ "

And she watched from her newfound 'seat' as Junker took down the rest of the goons. And Lilli had to admit that she was a little impressed. He took them out so quickly and precise. Makes her wonder who he was under that mask. Not the average guy she assumed. Perhaps a little bit like herself.

As the other turns then to her, Schatten could have sworn that she had seen something like a smile for a second. Or it was just the trick of the light. Because he doesn't seems like someone who smiled a lot. Or at all. But she also knew him for not even a full day! So who knows what he is actually like?

" Yeah. Caught him all just for you, Mister Mysterious~ "

She still doesn't knows his name or alias, so he has to deal with this nickname for now.

" And of course! Glory is all mine for catching zhe guy! Now... Vhat you vanna do vith him, hm? Zhis time he can't run away again! "

And so he does.

He appeared for a split-second wisp to dole out a haymaker punch from one side. Then a repeat performance on the opposite side, for a whole other gangster. As the second went down, a tommy gun they were trying to grab from within a steamer trunk nearby started firing off into the ceiling, getting the remainder of these ne'er-do-wells ducking for cover.

All the easier to bash them over the head with chairs or stomp them into unconsciousness. With death of course, awaiting anyone who refused to stay down or escape. And then at last, the mystery man turned to look at Schatten.

And he slowly raised his forearm for a low thumbs-up. The expression on what was visible of his face uncurling somewhat from a frown to something that almost turned upwards into a smile. One of those 'blink and you'll miss it' type moments.

"Caught the ringleader... basking in glory, there?"

The vigilante actually had a lot of fun arguing with Direlash. That had not been a lie at all. And she made it very obvious right now as well, that she had fun annoying him, given that she was laughing a little behind her mouthmask.

" Aw, come on, D~ I know you love to have me around~ "

He probably doesn't. But to the same time, he didn't really put much effort in making her go away. So Schatten believed that there was actually some part of him that didn't minded her presence all that much... Especially when he needed a little back up when beating the shit out of some goons.

" You are always busy! Besides, zhere aren't many 'costumed adventurer' zhat I like as much as I like you~♥ "

And not many that would be fine with her presence, and not resort to violence after a few moments.

She doesn't often land on actual planets that often. Usually just on public space stations but... this one had been the only good place to get supplies before her fuel had ran out. And boy oh boy. When you are in space there is no day-night circle. It was always dark. And after staying on this planet for a few days she decided that she prefers the night. The sun was way to bright.

And the woman wasn't scared to walk around at night in this harbor. Even if she had been told to avoid certain paths. Well, she takes those anyway if she has to. Like right now. And it didn't take to long to someone to actually talk to her. Just... not in the aggressive manner that she would have expected.

A low laugh comes from behind her helmet. With her voice sounding a little distorted by it as she finally spoke.

" Oh, is it? Hm~ "

She eyes him behind her visor. Perhaps he didn't meant that he was scared, but wondered with that what she was doing in a place like this. No matter. Lilli decided to play around a little.

" Do you perhaps need someone to valk zhat path vith you~? I mean, I don't mind accompanying a cute guy~ "

And a little flirt. Because why not. He was kinda cute in her opinion.

" Besides, I need to go zhrough here anyway to get to my ship~ "

Well, fair that they do forget that humans can see them. Still, Lilli raises a brow when Trench said they tell when flashlights were pointed at them. So, they can see something, eh?

" Vell, zhat's good to know! I should remember zhis so I point a flashlight at you next time~ "

The mage laughs, before crossing her arms at them. Listening to what the worm was saying. Neat, at least they knew what a graveyard was there for. Still, it seemed like the worm creature was thinking about it not just like it's a big buffet apparently. At least from the sound of it.

" Yeaaaah... I guess zhey have been... Most of zhem at least... Vait, vhat exactly do you mean vith zhey deserve to live on? You ain't gonna turn zhem into zombies or some shit, right? "

For how long she knows Trench, she was pretty sure they cannot create zombies... But well. This creature can be full of surprises still.

"Pfhekekeke~ really now?" A tentacle somewhere on their head tries to pull the hat back up. "You flatter me!"

While a bone in this stage of decomposition wasn't all that hard to break, Trench's jaw strength wasn't anything to scoff at either. But then again, considering that they spent most of their time pushing through dirt and rocks under the ground it wasn't actually unwarranted.

"Ha! And sometimes I forget you humans can!" Another pause, another bite. "Yeah, yeah, I can still tell when people start flashing their pesky lights at me, y'know."

"Mhmm~ and it's comfy out here," Trench answered. "And I do get it. I understand what it's like to mourn... this field is full of people who have loved and have been loved."

It wasn't that the green ranger had been specifically seeking her out , really. There had been mention of a suspicious figure lurking about this corner of the neighbourhood. But since the members of the mechanical squadron themselves could count as 'suspicious figures' as well, Fivemind was giving this stranger the benefit of a doubt. If anything, they were here out of curiosity. [ Reports of disturbance. ] read the words on Green Five's visor. [ Not accusing, just checking. ] [ Are you new around here? ]

The vigilante was pretty sure she knew who this robot was. Of course she had heard of the squadron from the goons, and villains who had came into the bar while she was working. Hm, the 'mechanical squadron fivemind' if she remembered right. But besides knowing that they were a team of five robots, and that they apparently were heroes, she doesn't know that much about them. Though, after she was a vigilante, she had guessed their ways would cross at some point. And today was the day apparently.

" Disturbance! Oh, vhat kind of disturbance, hm~? And how sweet of you to check up on me~ "

Schatten speaks, with just a hint of a flirt in her voice. Should she tell them that the 'disturbance' was probably caused by her? Well, or solved. Because she just beat up some guys who were out for trouble.

" And hm~ You could say, or vell text in your case, zhat I am new here, I guess~ "

Ah. What a wonderful and quiet night. Schatten was currently laying on her back, on a rooftop. Watching the stars, and just relaxing... Until someone suddenly spoke to her. And they didn't sounded to happy with her little 'heroic' act.

But the vigilante didn't stood up yet. She just lazily bent her head a little backwards to look at the stranger. Huh... She isn't sure if that is a villain or hero. He sure looked a little bit... 'menacing' in that dark outfit!

" Huh? Didn't knew you guys are calling dibs on criminals now! "

And there was clearly amusement to hear in her voice as the vigilante spoke. Was this guy really angry that she beat the shit out of some gang? Come on.

" Vhy? You said zhe reason yourself already, haven't you? For fun! Or rather, because I found zhem simply annoying~ "

If that is the truth is debatable though.

" Also, you approaching me, not even knowing vho I am? Sad. And zhere I zhought most baddies, and goodies, have already heard of lil' old Schatten zhat everyone calls a vigilante~! "

She is simply teasing him at this point.

Her reaction was actually quite adorable. A little like those girls she had seen in movies after they had received a call from their crush. Seeing her so giggly made the vigilante smile behind her moutmask. But what Lilli had said as really what she thought. Peekaboo sure did seemed like a fun little hero to have around. And who is she to try to kill someones spirit? She loves to tease, but that would be just mean for no reason.

There really was no surface or any difference when Schatten tried to feel for something underneath, above, and next to the jester. How interesting! She guessed then that this must be some kind of physic power then. A chuckle leaves the woman then though as Peekaboo spoke. Of course. No one likes to tell exactly what powers they had. She included.

" Of course~ I should have guessed! Vould be quite boring if everyone just revealed zheir secrets to anyone~! "

She did lightly tilt her head though when a finger was pointed at her then. And Schatten was again silent for a moment.

Of course she had secrets. Way to many perhaps. Nothing she is going to share if she can't help it. Or at least she isn't going to tell the truth if she is asked about it. So, the hooded vigilante simply shrugs.

" Yeah~ I do have some secrets~ Don't ve all, Peek~? "

[💜] Peekaboo giggled and playfully hid her face from such sweet words— all while she kicked her feet like an excited schoolgirl in a movie (all that was missing from this scene was a shrill squeal)! Instead: squeals were replaced by the chimes of bells on the ends of her shoes. 

Now, whether or not what Schatten said rang true like those bells of hers, it tickled the playful phantomime ever so. Ophelia had a long ways to go, but for tonight with the other beside her, she seemed to be on the right path.

Peekaboo’s smile stayed while she watched the other masked miss, whose hand slipped through nothing as it was held out underneath where the phantomime lounged. No solid matter, no change in the air, not even a static of ectoplasm.

“A magician never reveals her secrets.” She then placed a finger to her own lips as if to shush the other’s curiosity, before that same finger twirled around to point at Schatten.

“You look like you have your own secrets, too.”
