Warnings: mentions of the abuse Isaac experienced from his father, mentions of that abuse having a last psychological effect on him (in the form of claustrophobia); Isaac having a panic attack due to his claustrophobia being unexpectedly triggered; this is more of a hurt/comfort fic because the reader helps him calm down. Implications that the reader doesn't know about the existence of werewolves and the supernatural. The reader's gender is not described in any way. A/N: I just watched Season 3, Episode 4 (I've been watching two episodes a day and really enjoying the pace of it) and naturally the moment where Isaac gets stuck in the closet called to me like a beacon of whump. So here's this. Also highly recommend pairing this with Claustrophobia by 3OH! 3

"Did it have to be a closet?"

Isaac let out a dry chuckle, a seemingly nervous laugh as he eyed up the space apprehensively before stepping inside, putting some of the supplies on one of the shelves.

The two of you began gathering supplies off the cart and loading them into the janitor's closet, carrying out the punishment you had been given. You had been fifteen minutes late to class that morning, and you had heard that Isaac was in detention for fighting - beating up one of the new kids. You knew that since his father died, he had taken on somewhat of a new persona - more bold, more unafraid to get in trouble. But you had a feeling that violence didn't suit him.

It made you wonder what the other guy did to provoke the fight, or what the truth really was. But you felt that it wasn't your place to ask.

"It's not so bad." You remarked, sensing his general anxiety about this activity, but having no clue why.

He seemed fairly confident in every other area of life - he took down guys on the field in lacrosse without even flinching, he walked tall in the halls with confidence (not that you had noticed, not that you stared at him or anything) - it did make you wonder what was so intimidating to him about a closet full of spray bottles and napkins.

"I'm... not so good with small spaces." He remarked quietly, shyly, grabbing some more of the supplies off the cart and stepping inside beside you to begin organzing everything.

Ah. He was claustrophobic. That made sense.

You had heard rumours floating around the school after his father died - you had even heard whispers between Scott and Stiles when they were trying to be subtle in their conversations but had a poor sense of tact. Isaac's father used to lock him in a freezer as punishment, among other things. It was a horror you couldn't imagine.

"You-"

You were about to offer for him to leave, offering to finish up the rest of the work by yourself so that he wouldn't have to be burdened by his anxiety, when the closet door swung shut, slamming closed in a strangely violent manner. Isaac rushed to the door, furiously ripping on the handle, trying to get it open.

"It - it won't open-" He gasped, suddenly sounding terribly out of breath.

He was panicking, likely overtaken by horrible memories that you couldn't even imagine.

"It's okay, it's probably just stuck, I can call someone-" You took your phone out of your pocket, trying to reassure him, but his panicked flailing in the small space, now shouldering against the door, trying to ram it down, knocked your phone out of your hand and cracked the screen.

You didn't know if it was still in working order or not, but you knew it would be wiser to calm him down first.

"Something - something is blocking it from the other side!" He said, his breaths becoming more panicked and frantic as he kept trying to charge the door down - how was he not hurting himself?

He was sweating and shaking, and you ached with sympathy for him.

In Isaac's mind, he was right back there. Locked in darkness, clawing against the tiny, enclosed walls, desperate to get out. He was suffocating, he was running out of air, he was gonna die. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't-

Suddenly, your hand moved against his shoulders, a flat, firm palm rubbing his back, trying to comfort him. The pure gentleness of the touch startled his senses back to reality - there had been nobody to comfort him back then. He collapsed against the door, pressing his forehead into the metal, and deeply against his will, he let out a sob.

"Hey, shh, it's okay." You told him, trying to be as soothing as possible. "You're being so brave-"

"I'm not brave." Isaac choked out. "I'm sorry, I-"

"Don't apologize." You told him firmly, fighting back your own tears of empathy had how distraught he was. "Come on, sit down. Let's take a minute to calm down and breathe and then we'll find a way out of here."

You helped him onto the floor - he practically collapsed into a sitting position against one of the shelves, his entire body shuddering and shaking. Though he wasn't the most naturally affectionate person in the world, he didn't deny your touches when you cradled his head onto your shoulder and continued to soothingly rub his back.

After a few minutes of silence, save for his whimpers as his tears died down, he spoke up.

"I'm sorry," He apologized again. "I just - my dad..." He trailed off, barely able to voice it.

"It's okay," You told him, and for once in his life - he actually felt okay, here with you, in your arms. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"Thank you." He sighed.

When Scott came and got the two of you out of the closet (after Isaac had apologized a dozen more times for cracking your phone screen) - he could sense something in the way Isaac looked at you now, but he didn't say anything about it. Not yet.

Hale’s Modern Encyclopedia of Playing Cards (and Dating Humans) by thepsychicclam (wc49698, mature)

Summary: Wolves don’t date humans. And Derek’s okay with that. He’s got his Pack, his friends in the Pack network, and lacrosse. Plus, he plays cards with his grandma all the time. Stiles Stilinski definitely doesn’t factor into his life - no matter how much of a crush Derek has on him. But when bird creatures attack Derek, Stiles, and their friends in the Preserve, Stiles finds out about werewolves and things get pretty complicated. For Derek at least. And he thought school was his only problem, but now he’s grounded and Stiles is hanging around way too much for Derek to ignore him any longer.

I adore Derek and Stiles’s relationship and the growth it goes through in this fic. I think Derek with an uncontrollable crush that makes him wolf out in Stiles’s presence is so cute. I also love the Hale fam and the way Stiles (and Scott and the Sheriff) just get folded in after the crazy. So good.

Quick verse rundown:

CK MOLE AU. Hawk "turning on" Cobra Kai at the end of season 3 was an act. Truthfully, he's working as a spy for Kreese to get intel on the enemy. He's still fully in his "I'm Cobra Kai for life" mentality, and just playing an act. He remains loyal to cobra kai, even through the switch over to Silver.

SKY HIGH. Hawk is a boy with a gift - he can control people's minds. He attends Sky High / Sky University and is labeled as a hero. This verse is heavily affiliated with Tessa's freeze girl @freezegirl and my own Warren at @ghoulsplay.

DESCENDANTS. Eli Kingsley, son of Alice Kingsley (Alice in Wonderland), is an Auradon boy with a curious mind and adventerous spirit. With a bright blue mohawk, he's always getting himself into trouble.

FEAR STREET 1978. Hawk is a Sunnyvale camper at Camp Nightwing in his last year as a camper. He often gets himself into trouble, acting out and doing things he shouldn't. He hates Sunnyvale and his peers / town, and isn't afraid to make it known.

FEAR STREET 1994. Hawk is a Sunnyvaler who isn't about the ongoing rivalry between the towns, and often does his own thing separate from Sunnyvale.

STRANGER THINGS. Hawk's a teenager just trying to get through high school, which is easier said than done in Hawkins, IN. Formerly a loser, he changed, turning to karate and new friends to make a better life for himself. But "cooler" isn't always better, and mixed in with the bizarre things that happen in their town, he walks away with more regrets than ever. His best friend dies in the ‘Starcourt Mall Fire’ during a time when they were on bad terms and he’s living with that guilt every day. Of late, things have been getting out of control, with migraines that won’t quit, nose bleeds, and hallucinations.

TEEN WOLF. Blissfully ( or stupidly ) human, Hawk ends up getting wrapped up in the supernatural happenings of Beacon Hills when he stumbles on a sight he was not meant to see.

SCREAM. Living in Woodsboro, CA, it's best to shut up, mind your own business, and hope you don't become Ghostface's next victim. Hawk hadn't been that great at minding his business, though, and he's paying for it. Note: this verse has a ghost face hawk alternative version.

IT. Being a kid in Derry, Maine is like a death wish, and Eli Moskowitz is observant enough to tell that's the case. He's 13 in 1989 when children his age keep disappearing.

POWER RANGERS. I have several different power rangers universes for Hawk, which I will elaborate on but he is a power ranger (the purple ranger in most verses). Most of these are heavily affiliated with @taughtdamage and @taughtpain

VERSE ONE: After the school fight at West Valley, Hawk's parents move them, wanting to get away from the violence their son had been dragged into. Unbeknownst to them, things were about to get even crazier as Hawk finds a purple power coin and becomes the newest power ranger.

VERSE TWO: Amidst the karate war craziness, a group of the kids stumble upon power coins and become super heroes, responsible for protecting the Valley.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Upon finding out his sister, Tory, is the vampire slayer, Hawk is determined to help out whenever he can. He's like a makeshift slayer of his own if you ask him ( he'd be incorrect ). Affiliated with @queencvbra

MEDIUM VERSE. Having survived a near death experience as a child was traumatic enough, but coming out of it with the ability of seeing and communicating with ghosts was another thing altogether. Hawk tries for a long time to pretend this is not a gift he possesses, but with time and age he begins to come to terms with it and tries his best to help those he comes across.

tvd / legacies. Since having deep connections within Mystic Falls, his parents approve of his move there. He attends school and meets new friends trying to hide from his past but keeps running into magical beings.

doctor who / torchwood. After he realized his values didn’t align with Torchwood, he left. Harsh rumors spread around like wildfire about him becoming a dangerous rogue. Those who first meet him are terrified and disapproving of him. However, he still only wants to help others and would never even hurt a fly.

narnia. He and his family move into a new home filled with history and character. Lucian already feels at home. Little did he know a magical wardrobe called to him or maybe it was the new world inside of it? Him and his siblings learn they’re still royalty, disappointed he can’t escape from his responsibilities but wants to help.

ted lasso / sports. Grew up into the world of football, even though he despised it. They lived in America but moved to England at a young age. Often head to head with his older brother, Jaxon. His family is well-known in the sports world (soccer, hockey, etc.). Lucian was always on the same team with Jaxon, tension rose. Now he’s transferred to Richmond.

wednesday. He switches to Nevermore Academy upon request by his parents. They believe this is the one school that can help him embrace his powers instead of hiding them. Most of his siblings are there to help him see that he should do what’s best for himself while he makes new friends along the way still passing as a human.

supernatural. An honest researcher. Pacifist at heart. Witch pretending to be human with hopes to change the hunting field. Want information on the supernatural creature you’re dealing with? He’s your person. However, you’ll have to fight him for intel about how to kill them, he’ll want you to try to talk to them first.

percy jackson, riordanverse. Fully aware of his family history and was hidden to the best of their abilities. He isn’t sure who his parent is. He was found by a demigod upon their mission and was brought into camp. He’s excited to learn more about himself and others.

shadowhunters. He’s from a long lineage of Shadowhunters and Downworlders. They had to work twice as hard. Lucian’s a Shadowhunter, nothing else. He’s eager to bring coexistence of both species at the Institute.

teen wolf. The Hallewell family’s infamous. They are trained to protect rare, supernatural artifacts. Hearing a lot of buzz, they move to Beacon Hills. However, Lucian befriends supernatural beings and helps them despite his want for a normal life.

dead boy detectives. The Hallewell's have a well-known family business worldwide. Lucian's a psychic, grew up with these powers which his parents trained him to use unethically. He finally stood up for himself and decided to leave home. On his own, he struggles to suppress his powers while trying to live as a human instead of a psychic for once in his life.

re: lydia + the teen wolf movie. i'll have a verse where i oblige with the movie's canon, but as of right now, in lydia's main verse, here are some important things to note about her post-canon:

after graduating, lydia leaves beacon hills and goes to live with her mom in a small town in california (i'm leaning towards sausalito or carmel by the sea). they do this so that lydia can see a therapist and have time to properly heal and process the abuse she suffered in eichen house. also so that they can financially recover from all the hospital visits that lydia had to face throughout the show's canon.

lydia does end up going to uni, but she does not leave the state because they could not afford it (even with her getting scholarships due to her grades). she also has a special permission not to live in the dorms, terrified that she might wake up screaming and become a freak at university too. her years in college are rough and she feels absolutely disconnected from everybody, but she does not know how to create bonds with people who do not know who she is.

her relationship with stiles does not last because they are not in love with each other. they have been, in different points of time, but timing is not on their side. they are, however, best friends and always will be because they are each other's anchors (this is something i have developed with @notsolved throughout the last few years)

lydia ends up choosing to pursue a career in psychology, so that other supernatural people have a chance to talk about their traumas and experiences without ending up in places like eichen or being haunted. she also does it because she wants to help people, since she cannot do it with her powers.

she never properly learns how to tap into her powers. she tries and takes several trips to europe and other places, gets in touch with other families of hunters with chris' help, but there is not a lot of information. she never seeks out other banshees, however, still feeling guilty because of meredith. she also rarely uses her powers again. she does allow herself to tune into the voices (much like in the movie), but her screams/wails and fighting? she is terrified of doing it and killing someone again.

she pushes the pack away because she is always scared of losing the people she loves. which is funny because her biggest fear is being alone but she isolates herself. she is also closer to the younger pack than the older pack by the time she gets her degree, seeing as they all went through college around the same time and it is easier to be friends with them since they didn't see her fail to save her best friend/seeing as she can keep them at arms' length more easily. this is all subject to plotting, however.

she never comes back to beacon hills permanently. the only way she would return is if the pack asked for her help, especially scott. she also visits to see allison's grave. at first, she would go on her birthday, her death anniversary and the holidays. but then it got too hard and too painful so now she goes only once a year. as she grows older, she stops visiting it and chooses to remember allison other places that do not bring her as much pain.

i do not think lydia and jackson would be best friends after everything they went through in season 2. she does love him more than words, but she also knows their relationship was unhealthy and she would keep her distance from him. i could forgive their hug in season 6 because lydia was still young but after that? they do not become best friends. jackson put her through hell and, again, she will always love him because he is her first love, but she also knows they need to go their separate ways. they are civil, however, because she is friendly with ethan (they talk every year on aiden's birthday & death anniversary)

little drop for giselle's supernatural/teen wolf/etc verse;

born in the countryside of france to a wealthy family of socialites, giselle is clued in pretty quickly to the fact that she's no ordinary girl, and that her family is no ordinary family. giselle's mother hails from a matriarchy of witches whose powers have been passed down for the past several hundred years, since the day that their originating ancestor had successfully bound her soul to several elemental spirits. unlike tiffany, whose powers stem from having done the same; binding herself to a spirit at the nemeton, giselle's powers are innate, and cost her nothing. aka, she's one of the lucky ones. also, because her ancestor had bound several different elemental spirits to her own energy signature, technically speaking, giselle can use a much wider range of magic than tiffany. despite that, when she reaches adulthood, she chooses to use frost magic above all else  —  much like tiffany.

origins of power aside, giselle became disgusted pretty quickly by how her parents operated. how her mother especially used the family powers, to stay rich and to stay on top, using her magic to lie, cheat, and subjugate those that she deemed a threat to the dumont family legacy. she tried to get giselle to do the same, teaching her dark spellcasting and other methods of black, malevolent magic that giselle has tried since to forget (she can't. no matter how hard she tries, she can't). she'd watched her mother suck the life out of someone's body to heal her own, and that night she'd gotten so sick she'd thrown up until her esophagus was bleeding and raw. 

needless to say, giselle is eager to get out, and the day she turns eighteen, she can't get away fast enough. her first attempt is thwarted rather quickly when her mother finds her in london two weeks into her escape. thankfully, she comes up with a lie quickly enough, something about a incompetent PA having been instructed to inform her parents of her travels, then having failed to do so. she fakes a couple of emails, even, and her mother is none the wiser. when she arrives back in annecy, it's apparent to her that she's going to have to be much, much more thorough about this. and she's going to have to go much farther away—across the ocean farther away.

north america is a good start, she figures, and suddenly, all of her plans from when she was 16 until then are finally coming into fruition. it takes time, of course, she starts by stashing away money in a bank account neither of her parents have access to, putting a down payment on a house in the vast wilderness of northern california  —  beacon hills, it's called  —  and teaching herself how to use her magic to erase the traces of herself, cover up her own tracks. this plan is about a year in the making, and a few months after her nineteenth birthday, she takes a flight to northern california, never to be seen in france again.

BIOGRAPHY

Christopher Argent, commonly referred to as Chris Argent or simply Argent, is a supporting character on Teen Wolf. He is the son of the late Gerard Argent and an unnamed mother, the brother of Kate Argent, the nephew of Alexander Argent, the husband of the late Victoria Argent, the father of Allison Argent, and a descendant of Marie-Jeanne Valet and Henri Argent.

Argent was first introduced as an antagonist in Season 1 and Season 2 due to his status as a prolific Werewolf Hunter, and he, his wife, and his sister spent the entirety of the first season hunting down "the Alpha," who was later revealed to be Peter Hale. In Season 2, he began to train his young daughter Allison to become a Hunter as well while their clan tracked down the Kanima and sought revenge for Kate's supposed death.

A short time following his wife Victoria's decision to kill herself as per the Hunter Code after she was inadvertently bitten and turned into a Werewolf during a battle with then-Alpha Derek Hale, Argent and Allison left the Hunter life, unwilling to lose any more loved ones to the supernatural world. However, it wasn't long before both Argent and Allison were pulled back into the paranormal drama in Beacon Hills, first to battle against the Darach and the Alpha Pack, and then again to fight against the Oni and the Nogitsune. Unfortunately, the latter battle ultimately led to the death of his only daughter, Allison, at the hands of an Oni much to Argent's devastation.

He took a sabbatical in France to mourn Allison's death, but soon returned once again to help defend the supernatural community of Beacon Hills to fight against the Deadpool assassins, Peter, and his sister Kate, who had, unbeknownst to him, been turned into a Werejaguar when Peter attempted to kill her and was intent to get revenge on Scott McCall for what she believed was his role in the decimation of her family. Once these threats were dealt with, Argent left with the Calavera Hunter family to continue hunting Kate, but he returned in the second half of Season 5 to once again help the pack in Beacon Hills, this time to fight against the Dread Doctors and the so-called "Last Chimera."

In Season 6, Argent assisted the McCall Pack in their fight against the Ghost Riders of the Wild Hunt and Garrett Douglas, the Löwenmensch who sought to control them for his own ends, all the while developing a close friendship with Melissa McCall that would ultimately develop into a romance. In the second half of the season, Argent and the pack once again was fighting a war on two fronts, with the ancient Anuk-ite inducing fear among the townspeople, giving Gerard and his new protégée Tamora Monroe to capitalize on this fear and create an army in hopes of ending the supernatural after all. The series ended with Argent happily in a romantic relationship with Melissa and still an active ally to the pack, free from his father's influence.

Thirteen years since the death of his father Gerard and the temporary defeat of Monroe's Army, it is a mystery to what Argent had been doing in the last years. He tracked down Scott and Deaton, who had settled down in Los Angeles, and explained that he had been having visions and nightmares of Allison crying out for help, coming to the conclusion that she trapped in the Tibetan gap between life and death, Bardo. He suggested a ritual to help her soul find peace and was shown to have retrieved the Oni sword that was stained with his daughter's blood. Deaton managed to figure out that this was part of a plan elaborated by the recently-freed Nogitsune and freed Argent from his possession. Argent had an emotional reunion with his daughter, who had been brought back to life by the Nemeton, and both joined forces with their packmates and allies to end the Nogitsune once and for all.

Argent is a member of the Argent Family of Hunters, is an ally of the McCall Pack, and is also currently working with the Calavera Family of Hunters.

( main verse ) after ben's death, years pass. agnes wouldn't know it --- she's been high since the day she came home from the hospital with gunshot wounds from him. but suddenly, she finds herself going home with a man one night... who reveals he's actually ben, back as a demon. she barely survives, running into the night. now, she hopes he doesn't find her ever again.

it's discovered that agnes is actually a nemeton ( an example of one is the tree in teen wolf that drew supernatural beings to beacon hills. ) agnes is a beacon for the supernatural, drawing them in.

she does have some powers, but as of her current timeline she has not discovered them. that will be plotted out in a bit. as a side note, unless your muse is a very knowledgable supernatural being, they may not notice she is one. that is up to you however!

Appearance: she has bright dark eyes, which are a stark contrast to her light brown skin. Rhea is very expressive, as shown by her dimpled smile (or conversely, her deep frown). Her curly, dark brown hair is chest-length, and it's almost always worn loose unless she ties it up during a workout. She has the typical frame of a 5'5" female her age.

Background: Rhea was born to her mothers Tamsin Deaton and Catalina Agresta, who conceived her with the help of their dear friend Noah Keller. The girl would have a happy, fun childhood, as her parents made good money as professors of language and anthropology. Knowing that she was both a Druid and a Weresphinx, her moms immediately told her about the supernatural world. Once she began showing characteristics of her shifter side around puberty, the family sent her to live in Beacon Hills with her Uncle Alan for training (her parents took jobs at the nearby UC Berkeley campus).

Personality: she's always been incredibly ambitious and hedonistic. Rhea was happy to take up kickboxing as a child, in addition to Latin lessons before she was even done with middle school. She loves to laugh and be around people, but she tends to become protective of those closest to her, to the point of becoming jealous if they spend a good amount of time away from her side. She's also gotten into her fair share of verbal fights with those who try to poke fun at her. It's impossible to get her out of one such fight until she thinks she's won. Thankfully, she's fairly quick-witted.

Species: half-Druid, half-Weresphinx hybrid

Telekinesis: she doesn't learn to use this until she's an adult

Invulnerability to Mountain Ash: since she's part-Druid, Rhea can cross boundaries made out of mountain ash with ease

Shifter Physiology: like other shifters, Weresphinxes have superhuman senses, agility, strength, and healing factors

Full Shift: she can shift into a cat resembling a mountain lion

margot hadn't expected that her inheritance would include an old run down building. The distillery was barely held together with metal walls, and inside held a whole host of things that had little to no use to her. There was a spiral clawed into the side of it, one that was all too familiar to her. Briefly, she wondered why her Grandmother would have held onto a place like this of all things. Still, with it came an old root cellar, one that held uncomfortable memories for her. Curious as ever though, Margot started looking through the old building, only to find a letter tucked into the little shelf on top of the table. 

with a quiet hum, she carefully unfolded it, both shocked and unsurprised to find her Nan's loopy handwriting. Her Nan writing a letter wasn’t surprising, but the fact that it was addressed to her was. Seeing her name was more than startling, knowing that her Nan had passed several years before she was even born, let alone conceived.

' dear Margot, by the time this building comes into your possession, you'll already be familiar with it. Then again, it's been yours since before you were born. ' Delicate eyebrows knitted together in confusion as she read the first couple lines over again. Beacon Hills had more than a few strange things happen in the time she'd been here, but this had to be the strangest. Though her Dad had said that he'd grown up here for a time, that his mother had been from here,  Margot hadn't realized how intertwined her family was with this place. 

' this building was once a popular distillery for the supernatural population. It was a common ground; a neutral territory that allowed for treaties to be made and peace to be brokered. I’m sure it’s been a long time since this place has been anything of the sort. ' Her eyes flitted from the note to the room around her, trying to imagine the building being what this letter described it as. Margot was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that her Nan knew about the supernatural community here, and was somehow connected to it.

turning back to the letter, Margot continued reading, ' We haven't been a matriarch for a very long time, my little pearl, but with you we have a new opportunity. My hope is that putting this place in your hands gives it the chance to thrive again. There is so much you already know about the place you live, about parts of your family history, and yet, so little about mine. ' Flipping the page over, Margot was about to start again when she heard the sound of footsteps and eventually a voice asking " What are you doing here? This place has been shut up for years, why are you trespassing now?"

gazing up at the newcomer, Margot gave them a small smile, " It's not trespassing when you own the building. The better question is why are you here? " she asked, curious, but kind.
