i don’t think either of them would be super into that, mostly because i’d imagine Link is up and gone to tend to His Knightly/Royal/Heroic duties most of the time before Zel is, however, on the rare occasions when it doesn’t happen (it’s probably because she forced him to stay lol), he’d be the one to take the initiative (see below)

who cooks for who

Link cooks 95% of the time. he’s always enjoyed cooking, even in his childhood, and so he’s the best self-taught cook Hyrule’s ever known. Combine that with the survival skills he’s gained throughout his life and you’ll see why most of the time Zelda won’t even let anyone but him cook for her (especially when they’re on trips, and then he’d make sure to check every single offering of food to her for poison)

the other 5% are for Zelda’s attempts to actually learn cooking/make a dessert to surprise him. she’d always make sure to give out a sample to someone else (mostly the guard, though back in the past both Mipha and Urbosa would help too) to see how bad it really is (if it’s actually edible…) beforehand, but even if it was approved, Link’d still find plenty of ways to improve on her dish. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy it and appreciate the effort, though — his critique is always very gentle.

who is the morning person/night person

These dynamics don’t apply to Link because his sleep schedule is a train-wreck and he’s used to living off of just a few hours per day and a whole bunch of enduring elixirs. He doesn’t like to linger in bed and is always one of the first people to get dressed and ready in his entire guard… or maybe the castle even

Zelda, however, is very much a night person — the amount of times she’s stayed up till sunrise to study Hyrule’s flora is uncountable. It affects her less than you think and she still wakes up at reasonable hours often (though Link’s always concerned about that. later on, when they open up to each other, he speaks up about it a LOT), but if you were to read her thoughts at any point, she’s probably dreaming of a soft bed in the back of her mind. So it’s only logical that she really likes to take her time before getting up, however, she doesn’t allow herself that too often because she is aware of her responsibilities.

who is the romantic one

i’d imagine that zel would be the first to take the initiative in this (you know, after she gets over the whole ‘get away from me’ vibe) and offer such gestures (that he very often misses)… like i don’t know, leaving him a fresh drink after training’s over, freeing him from his duties in general:

‘But, your Majesty, the day’s just started and you need protection…’

‘You know we aren’t going outside today better than me, and you know I’ll be studying in my room anyways. Come on, what kind of threats could await me there?’

most of the time he isn’t really trusting her words (and rightfully so, since there were assassination attempts) and ends up staying anyways but he’s always grateful for the offer.)

or forcing him to eat a frog ljfdhgkdfj (honestly interpreting it like that is smth i’ve never thought of until now, and i know it’s awkward but it’s also really funny)

but as he opens up to her, he ends up one-upping anything she could even think of. hundreds of silent princess seeds (and post-game he’d carry a bouquet just for her to see after ganon is gone you Know… she’d be angry at him [‘LINK THESE ARE ENDANGERED’] but after he shows her that it’s finally thriving in the wild and taking them was safe, she’s so touched by the gesture that she cries), declarations of love meant for a single pair of ears (yes even during serious meetings), and lots and lots of fruitcake … just to name a few lol

who would lead in ballroom dancing

damn it, she’s a princess, of course she will. and even after years of practice he’s still stepping on her toes once in a blood blue moon.

Zelda!!!! POST-GAME TOUCH-STARVED ZELDA IS MY SHIT. FOR FUCK’S SAKE SHE DIDN’T HAVE A BODY FOR A HUNDRED YEARS. SHE DESERVES ALL THE CUDDLES

and Link personally doesn’t really like the general idea of cuddling too much because a) he feels weird about people doing it for no reason and b) you know.. i can kind of imagine how he’d be repulsed in this regard because of all the attempts at physical contact from monsters he’s suffered from. that’s weird wording but i really don’t know how to say it… HOWEVER Zelda gives the best cuddles ever so he doesn’t mind at all and oh my goddesses he loves her so much

who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch

[assuming this is modern AU] Link doesn’t care at all, he just wants them to have a good time together (and he cares a lot more about popcorn flavors frankly), meanwhile Zelda, even though she doesn’t enjoy movies a lot in general, still has some of her favorites she wants Link to see. And after they’ve watched that, she does pretty heavy research to ensure that they both would have a better time than the last (which was already close to perfection because she’s so good at picking and she knows Link extremely well)

post-game: Link because oh my god what are you doing if you don’t have tens of thousands of rupees, if not more, by the end of your playthru? it’s so easy to accumulate in this universe that Link ends up becoming one of the richer people in Hyrule and he gives most of it away to rebuild the kingdom
