So I’m now watching Team Rainbow Rocket Episode which happens in US/UM & is post-game events for reference and Jesus Christ this is battle oriented and more intense than the UB hunting in normie environments. I personally liked Sun’s post-game quest aka Looker & Anabel ask you to catch UBs in the area because story wise it was good material and have no complaints over Ultra Beast catching. It had a separate plot tying onto the already existing information main plot gave us and extended it quite nicely, and depth on both Interpol members and Nanu was really neat and deep and mature.
TRR is more of a nostalgia trip for players who know TR and has played a 1st gen game or remaster, and involves some earlier game bosses from Ruby etc. and more, well... battling. I personally would’ve thought that this isn’t a hugest priority and more of a nice plus I’d go for anyway - and both options seem to engage the player enough imo which is always a good thing. After seeing this I’m now plenty content with my vanilla Sun and not that fascinated in Ultra Moon’s existence. The normie version had all I needed and isn’t trying to show off too much, not to mention I got it for a cheap price from an IRL friend and it gave me so many good memories when I could yell to my dear mutual @brainpuncher about it and got advice and challenge from her ♥
Also... why the Hell are you RR grunts posing as if you’re badass & unbeatable, it’s not making you look ANY COOLER. More like the opposite because you look like fools when you lose after giving a confident facade. Team Skull looks pretty natural in posing bc being hip and edgy is their thing and they’re not that epic in the end so it fits tbh but Team Rocket just doesn’t - just stop. Stop before you’re foolish fools who fool themselves.
To quote my girl Serena in my multimuse blog: “We get it, you want to be taken seriously and like a real threat. Overdoing the effect is only backfiring at you and I even though you’re a bit stronger than Flare your attack is worse than Splash.”
