Juno takes a long moment to answer, cigarette perched between their lips as per usual. For the briefest moment, there is almost something vulnerable in their expression, but as they lift a hand and take their cigarette to hold it between two fingers, the vulnerability falls away as soon as it came.

"I never wanted this in the first place," they say pointedly in their thin, raspy voice, allowing smoke to drift out of their mouth. "I'd probably give this shit up for just about anybody." Their new mission, if one could even call it that, doesn't mean so much to them that they'd want to keep going.

A beat passes and their face softens, ever so slightly. "But, I mean, years and years ago, there was this one guy..." Their voice trails off, and for one long moment, Juno looks lost. Then, the moment passes, and they shake their head as if to clear it.

"Yeah," they say, "I'd give this shit up for anyone. Doesn't fucking matter to me." To punctuate their point, they pop their cigarette back into their mouth and take another drag.
