I know I say I like the anime, but I really hate how it says that Novoselic was destroyed in the tragedy partially by Sonia. It doesn't really make sense, especially since that kind of robs Sonia of political power and even part of her usefulness to Junko. Without her kingdom, she's just a regular girl which is part of what Sonia wants to be, yes, but ultimately, she has no real power without it even with good leadership skills. It just frustrates me because I don't believe that they state that the Kuzuryuu clan was destroyed in the tragedy thus allowing Fuyuhiko to keep HIS forces, source of political power, and thus his usefulness to the forces of ultimate despair, but Sonia doesn't despite being more effective for spreading despair to other countries outside of Japan? It's a maddeningly stupid detail from the anime that I am electing to ignore regardless of verse. At most, I'd say there was a civil war in Novoselic regarding changes in power after Sonia kills her parents for Junko, but I wouldn't go further than that.
