I was wondering if you could share any interesting lines of Taiga's? No pressure tho! It's just after seeing some of his lines from other people, he seems to have a bigger role in the story and I'm curious if any of his lines give any more clues to the situation on hand. YES TAIGA MY BELOVED. he's my favorite behind maybe Towa. Chances are if you've seen the one line you've seen the only one referring to that, although there is one more that may be related? But it might be general. As for caring for the PC, this is a joseimuke so. The characters will always love you more and more with time. if Taiga sees the future or knows the future because of timeline/loop shit, then that Taiga doesn't seem to actively care much about being Captain or doing his job makes sense. He knows that if nothing changes everything's going to fall apart anyway so there's no point in trying. We don't really know what his stigma does either--in fact, his "good luck" could be that he can see and react to future events, so he knows things like what cards will be drawn and such. But he's getting tired of everything always going so bad no mater what he does in response to what he sees. And Romeo(? it doesn't say who he's telling about how bad things are getting) isn't helping to make changes. . .so he's just giving up. But now you're here, maybe you're different somehow. Maybe somehow you're an outlier in this timeline. Maybe injuring you was on purpose to change something in the future he saw. Maybe that's why he's telling you about the spy. . . .of course this is all speculation. Until we learn what his stigma does or what he means by 'ditch this future' then. . .all speculation. But there is a wickhive post that someone can see the future. And the more I think about it the more I wonder if it's Taiga. (also because i'm sure someone will point this out, the wording 'let it all burn down' is specific to the English dialogue, so it's not a callback to the pre-prequel sequence where the school is on fire.)

Hello! I'm really impressed with you speed running all of your alts to get the Regalia! Would you mind sharing any tips or tricks that got you through so much ARR fast? - A fellow alt-happy Eorzean

One REALLY big help is doing stuff on the New and Prefered servers because the Road to 80 buff is just WAY TOO GOOD. I'm working on the story on some alts and by the end of ShB, only doing the story, I can get about 3 jobs to 80. If you have character on congested servers that you don't mind moving around you can move them to a new or preferred server for FREE and get the Road to 80 buff for 30 days (It lasts longer on characters made directly on those servers tho.)

There are some bits that I like to watch on every run through, but skipping the cutscenes is an obvious must. I play on PS4, and put on a show while I grind most of the time.

If you have the road buff, when you get to dungeons, instead of queueing in the Dutyfinder set up a Partyfinder for your dungeons. I always set them to one slot other that myself, and then set the minimum ILV to 500. This will ensure only higher level players will join.

Into the description type: "Unsynced for MSQ progression." or "Unsyned, help me get my alt through MSQ?"

Players are usually happy to help folks working through the MSQ. This works on every Datacenter.

Make sure you set your DF to Unrestricted before you queue so you don't accidentally queue up regularly instead and always \readycheck before you go in.

Most dungeons with a LV 90 player are less than five mins and a lot of the time they won't even roll on the gear so you get good upgrades along the way. If they rush through and you don't have time to grab all the chests you can always \return at the end to get the chests that were not grabbed. If there are mobs still in the dungeon, don't worry, if you sprint and kite them you can grab everything before they kill you, then respawn and leave through the exit at the start or the menu.

The ONLY duties I don't do Unsynced for is for Castrum Meridianum, Praetorium and Porta Decumana, because with they force cut scenes even if you do it unsynced I don't like to ask people to sit through them so I just do them normally.

IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS JUST AS THEM FOR HELP UNSYNCING. I love helping my friends unsync stuff. Hell, I love helping anyone unsync stuff. Takes very little time.

If you don't have the road buff, make sure you do your leveling roulette, and queue for the dungeons. Unfortunately, the end of ARR has a LV jump around the time you get to the Rhytahtyn solo instance and if you skip duties you'll likely be underleveled.

A few characters I ended up having to run through Aurum Vale to get to 50 just so I could get through the final strech of stuff. I love Aurum Vale personally, but I know it's not everyones jam.

Buy a stack of cheap food early on so you can keep your 3% exp buff going. My personal favorites are Eggs, Orange juice and Plums.

DON'T FORGET We get Vesperbay tickets on new characters now to returning to the waking sands is no issue. They recently updated it to you get 99 total over the course of ARR. If you made a character BEFORE they added the Vesperbay Teleportation Tickets, don't run from Horizon, Teleport to Limsa Lominsa, go to the Arcanist guild via the aethernet and then take the Ferry to Vesperbay. It's pretty quick on PS4, if you're on a Toaster it might be faster to go from Horizon because of less loading.

I recommend stopping by Camp Tranquil to get your Chocobo the ability to fight (My Fiestly little Chocobo) when you hit 30. Also grab a stack of 99 Gysahl greens when you're at Bent Branch doing that. You don't have to finish the quest to be able to summon you chocobo, so if you're in a rush there is that. I always level my chocobos in Healing first. IMO Choco cure is the most useful chocobo ability early on.

Don't forget to do your job quests, a lot of them will sync up with stuff you're doing in the MSQ, and when you get to 45 the gear boost is substantial even if it's only useful for those few levels to 50. DPS can probably get away with ignoring it, but for tanks and healers GEAR IS SO IMPORTANT, especially if you're not unsyncing stuff.

You get some upgrades from the story but the ARR stuff is all normal quality, it's not the greatest. There is a Jeweler NPC in Ul'dah that I recommend grabbing accessories from, cause I've had times where I'm 50 and still have dang LV5 ring cause the MSQ doesn't give any accessories and if your RNG is bad in dungeons it can be pretty bad. (you will get a acessory from unlocking AV though, that is nice!)

If you have some of the preorder earrings, make sure you visit your the mail moogle for that. If you've been playing a long time and have stuff like the Tidus and Yuna outfits from fanfest that get sent to every character, Grab those outfits too. They're good at the early levels and give a pretty good EXP boost to lvl 30. (Don't recommend wearing them in dungeons past like the first three though)

Of course, most important of all. Take care of yourself. I've been dealing with long-covid for years now and if causes me no end of issues, but I can get into the zone and focus hard with MSQ grinds. Self care is so important. I'm pretty good about getting up and stretching and getting myself what I need, but sometimes I'm in the zone and it gets bad. I am lucky I have a partner that helps me keep up with that stuff too. If he gets up to move around and go somewhere, I usually take that as my time to give myself a break.

Setting myself a little 3 hour timer for water breaks is something I'm working on and seems to be good. I try to not keep too much food around my gaming area because if I'm going to eat something I'd like to get up and move around too. If I do keep something nearby, I try to have fruit and not like snacks. Doesn't always work but trying is important.

more mer au! today's the talk is about spiderbit's first meet and some other stuff + there's another picture with cave layout

okay, so, !cellbit (and richas, but like partially because, yknow, other parents) lives in a small house on a a hill that's just as small tbh; it's like an hour on motorbike to a big city (tho theres already some houses around, but his house is pretty seperate from those es well. i also think his house is also surrounded by small forest) and 15 min on foot to a closest beach (this beach is like. imagine really non-tourist-ey beach. like, very much the beach for the locals). Despite living near a what considered a Very Big Sea (and it's very known around as the place where a lot of mers live), because mers kinda prefer hang out in more populated places closer to the uhh Big City i need to think a name of later, so !Cellbit never saw a mer (not like he doesn't believe they exist, he just never thought about ever seeing one). Partially its probably because if Richas isn't with him he is either in his cave (working) or not home at all (also working).

Tho, even when richas is with him, !cellbit doesn't like, stop working (he works much less, and actually often brings his son on some of the non-dangerous missions). However, that does mean that every time !richas is not also in a cave (drawing or something), he spend a bunch of time at that beach playing with other kids from around (he isn't completely unsupervised - !cell gave him an amulet that when activated will alert the parent and then release a captured there monster made of pure energy that will deal with danger on hand)

so basically, on one of these days, richas and bobby meet (he kinda wasn't supposed to be there - he was only really allowed be around more populated places. however, that didn't stop him from sneaking out and exploring). they eventually went on becoming a very good friends, even tho they couldn't really meet as often as they wanted (they also only really briefly mentioned eachother to their respective parents)

so, on one of these hang outs, richas decided to show the cave to bobby (he really wasn't supposed to do it considering it was a secret cave). and it was pretty easy to do - there was a very direct way through an underwater tunnel (so it was perfect for a mer and a water dragon) and !cellbit wasn't supposed to be in a cave that day (idk cleaning up the house or something like that). there's, however, was one thing richas didn't know - is that despite not looking like that, the water passage was also protected, probably even better than the main exit. so when the second bobby's was able to see the inside of the cave two snakeropes dragged him out of water and hanged him right above it, richas was pretty horrified. so, of course, the best decision was to ran to his dad and get help (he could deal with the consequences of letting a stranger into a secret cave later). the trap that !cellbit set up is supposed to give him a notis in case of activation, so, well, he was already on the way.

so, he sees some kid being hanged up, clearly distressed and also his own kid thankfully on a ground, being equally distressed. he's equally pissed off (why theres a stranger in this cave) and happy (the trap worked perfectly) and also relieved after deactivating the trap because that kid does seem okay and not hurt (tho bobby definitely took some offense to being caught in a trap). The serious talk can wait tho, because it seems like bobby lost something while being dangled up (by richas words, it seems like he had a hairband tied up on a hand (paw?). weird but ig it can't really fit on his head). considering that !cellbit already need to go underwater to disable the trap - it might go off again if he won't do it, he also decided to look for a hairband - it isn't supposed to be too far away.

last time i talked about the whole "mer that consider themselves "family" can basically send eachother signals". that is especially true for a danger situations - in that case the signal can be sent almost unintentionally. so, let's just say, !roier got his weekend interrupted the worst possible way. and the signal weakening while he was already on his way did not, in fact, made him any less stressed. and maybe that's the reason why he immediately threw himself on some unknown guy that was in some underwater cave that was holding his sons hairband. and maybe that's why !cellbit didn't even register being outside the water and that Chat was the only reason he didn't hit the shelves as he was thrown out of that water.

the kids (especially bobby) were alright and explanations were given (because that's probably the only thing that could help with the air almost cracking with tension for obvious reasons). and then there's some small talk and some talking about kids (because of course parents will bond over kids) and family and stuff and suddenly couple hours already passed and that guy who [wanted to kill you/you wanted to kill (funnily enough, it seems like both agree that that was pretty justified, even if it was mostly because of lack of information)] could possibly be considered a friend (or already more, because i need yall to know that mer au spiderbit are like. ultra fast burn. the only reason they dont get together for some time are some plot stuff lmao)

also, the cave layout: the exit door is protected both by password and magical protection; the shelves are full of different books (various encyclopaedias), boxes with various artifacts, amulets and all that stuff, papers with a lot of information related to cases !cellbit worked on; theres actually a lit of different plants and moss and all that on walls, and some of the moss actually glows (not enough light on itself tho); the cave was definitely used even before (the wall between desk and richas's "room" is obviously man made and theres a lot of traces of previous furniture.

The look on FX's face when Xiao En says as long as he knows he's a Xiao. Good acting! You can see the compassion FX has for him. He's not only ruthless and vicious.

Chen Pingping always has like 5 reasons for anything he does. Love that about him.

LMAO Chen Pingping even set up things so evil Princess' plot ended up giving FX a chivalrous bestie. (He reminds me a lot of Korn, the mafia kingpin from Kinnporsche. been thinking about how sometimes when trying to be the best version of myself, the biggest roadblocks to progress are ones i set up for no good reason, whether it's feeling self-conscious when exercising and so avoiding it, an anxious or defeatist attitude that prevents me from even trying, or procrastination, or...i'm sure i can come up with more if i thought long enough about it. recognizing the source of the problem is the first step to overcoming it tho...and slowly but surely, i feel like overall i'm making progress on at least some of those things (still got a ways to go w the procrastination tho 😬)...

Ryder + Mantis Blades

Is one of my biggest wishes to VP — in a way that it looks good.

I've tried it already several times — only 3x I was looking at the outcome thinking they are… okay-ish. Yet they are not worth posting like I usually do. As some of you might know, the blades do not show up right, they are always bugged in some way.

Up there are my latest tries. I cut off Ry's right hand/arm in these because it always makes a fist and the blade seems to be more bugged than the one on the left arm, so only the left arm can be made of use, though it still doesn't look great.

Below are some of the second try. The best looking ones. I could live with having these bugged blades since in certain angles they look okay-ish. If only it wouldn't be such a stressful pain to take pics!! It's like this: I spawn Ry via AMM, give him a pose and expression I want then freeze him, then set some lights if needed. All good so far, but then: hit the fight button so the blades come out. Then you need to be quick — I switch to photo mode and do a sort of speed run in setting the angle, the FOV, quickly jump into reshade for the DOF, set that fast as well and pressed a lot of times to do screenshots because the blades vanish after 2–3 min. The amount of times I restarted this is way too long and the outcome not really satisfying, tho so I won't do it again.

There is a mod, but it's for female Vs only. There's a prop pack to use but srsly I do not want to spend more time in placing everything together bit by bit, also it would not be Ryder's arm? and there's still Ryder's arm as well. idk how this stuff should even work. Below is my first try ever. The amount of time I cursed on this is not countable.

I will just continue to wait until the day a fix for male V with blades out in photo mode suddenly appears on the nexus page. And this is gonna be one of the happiest days in my life then. xD

Looking at his arms with blades out always has me thinking that Ry replaced his good arms for some entirely mechanical ones. Not that the thought of him walking into a ripper doc's place telling "off with those I want blades", is disturbing enough already — just the thought of never having a real feeling of touch again is disturbing also. His hands aren't real anymore either. It's probably like your hands are numb. you may notice if the surface is hard or soft, idk if he can feel if something is hot or cold, tho. Probably not. 

I experienced some numbness on my left foot not long ago. Somehow I must have damaged one of my bigger nerves there so I always felt a certain numbness (besides some prickling). Maybe feeling sth and receiving touch with and on his hands might feel similar? I’ll think about this for a bit. It is an important detail given the thematic when he’s all cuddly with Thyjs (who’s left hand is entirely cybernetic as well, but his right one is still organic so he can surely tell the difference how things feel).

About taehyung I'd say i have come to be indifferent or irritated with the guy's behaviour over the year. It came in the form of disappointment because before FACE release i was very sure tae nd hobi would support him physically you know like be on his set or music show or something like that. Hobi proved me right but Tae.....like okay u didn't go for any of his sets or anything physically but not even a simple acknowledgment towards the supposed Soulmate's first ever album?? Mind u Tae posted for every single member except jm last yr. he posted story for every member's album after their album release expect jm. one can understand if he was Missing 2-3 members but only one. and same like last year even this yr he posted for hobi's album, posted for RM's album, posted less than a week ago for his frnd's songs but didn't post anything for jm even when he came to post other pics last Sunday. again jm being the exception to that like 2023.

Last yr when he used to go live for 3 min only to mention jk for 4-5 times without even asking his own fans what are they doing, how's it going U wonder.... Wasn't a one time thing the whole 2023 went like that u can ask anyone. There was even a running joke started in army Fandom "Anyone: so u- Tae: Jungkook" like that. Everyone knew how much he used to bring up jk for anything literally anything at all. Who even goes live play one song say that jk sings it for u then stop the live right there? who goes live just to tell that he didn't see jk's live last day after movie premiere cause he passed out? who goes live to tell he called jk? literally in most of his lives he ended those live without 3-4-5 min after only talking about jk. Even his own fans were saying it's started getting embarassing how much he mentions jk while jk doens't brother. Yes jk has mentioned tae last year in his lives multiple times too but jk has never mentioned anything private like how tae does.

There was this time when jk was posting his recipes on weverse nd correcting some information about it in the morning, then jm comments on it saying why is he not sleeping cause jk was live before that reposting too. means jk was live at last night. Then jm also asked jk to cook for him that recipe or smtg to which jk replied. Then comes Tae who comments under jk's comment of recipe saying "I also slept well 😉" when it was jm who talked about sleeping nd not jm so technically the comment of tae should be under jm's comment but it was under jm's. which then made tkkrs and whole Fandom believe TK had sleepover even tho jk was live at late night for hrs. There's too many incidences like that.

Point is tae does and says things that leaves more room for speculations nd then comes jk to tell the story as what has happened. I know tae is like that but that behaviour itself is weird TO ME. I'd say the exact same thing if i had seen jm going live to talk about jk for 3 min nd then dip. It simply doens't looks normal TO ME so i wouldn't think any different for tae. I won't speculate as to why he does what he does but only thing is his Actions are weird to me.

That time he posted story from a tkkr acct which was basically a jm anti which gave that acct more exposure. the acct had 2k before him posting then gained over 40-45k within 24 hrs despite their pinned posts being jm anti and talking about TK kissing. Now i don't say he did it on purpose cause i know he wouldn't but I'd prefer if he's mindful of his actions. Another time he said "N" word while singing on live which cause many black armys side eye him, then months later he went on live to put on durag which again caused discomfort for some Black armys. Then the recent MacD post which again caused distress in big numbers in army side. again point is he's too ignorant of his actions. and i do not like ppl that are ignorant and irresponsible nd his actions for the past yr has made him look like one to me.

I loved vmin too much but the disappointment caused by him to me cause i was stupid enough to hope had really made me not to think of vmin or him the same as before. i cannot for the life of me look at him or vmin same as before. i don't enjoy seeing vmin together now. of course they're still good frnds there's no debate about it but one thing that's clear is they're not the vmin they used to before. it stopped somewhere around 2019. i don't like how ppl still call them soulmates LOL.

when i was new i used to see posts of how back in days jm made sure to be at every members'solo set when they were doing their solo MVs (like serendipity n all) but no member showed up for him. how he was the only one posting for member's solo songs from BTS's albums on twitter nd no one posted for him nd he posted for himself. i felt bad but never blamed any members saying maybe they didn't go cause they couldn't make time or maybe because jm gets shy n all. But i have seen everything in 2023 nd how members like tae made time for his frnds despite their TIGHT schedules yet couldn't be botehred for Someone like jm. i remember yrs ago tae saying that he is always on the receiving end of jm's love nd support and it felt like still the same. i believe jm wouldn't have been on that fanmeet of tae's had jm not showed up for tae in tae's music show. I remember tae taking hrs early flight than other members so that he could be present at his newly frnd's movie premiere in sk. i remember how tae showed up for one of his wooga member's fanmeet, then went on stationhead party nd then went to music show all 3 events on the same day when he was promoting his album but couldn't bother to be there for jm during one of his music shows our of 3 when tae was literally on break? i didn't like this same thing about jk too.

I would never expect members to do all these things for jm IF jm wasn't doing all of this for them. jm himself is inactive nd yet the whole Fandom knew that the one of the only time he'd come Online is to post for members. his whole ig page speaks for itself. Jm not only posted for online but he made sure to be with every single member when they were releasing their music last year. I'd never expected yoongi to show up for jm but surprisingly he did. i knew yg was busy hence i didn't expect that. I'd never expect something like online posting from some like yg cause he doens't post everyone knows.

so yes my personal indifference nd irritation towards Tae has came from his actions towards jm. Hi, I appreciate you stopping by. I will say, you wrote quite a lot that I genuinely do not have it in me to read, but I’ll still answer because I did read majority of it.

Basically, I think it’s fine to dislike Tae and not agree with his actions. It’s unrealistic to believe every member will be adored by every fan, and that goes for any group out there. I am also glad you brought up his recent behavior outside of Tkk vs Jkk drama, because those reasons are what has pushed him out of grace for me. I don’t hate him by far, but he is the one member I now side eye. Especially because people have talked about members of Wooga squad being questionable, and I’ve never cared for Jennie. Blackpink were too ignorant for me to get into, and they debuted way too late in the game and too old (meaning they were old enough to know better) for me to care about them “learning to do better.”

So it’s not surprising to me Tae likely isn’t the kindest of people I expected him to be. I’m not delusional enough to believe these men aren’t people and won’t make mistakes, but I definitely thought they’d grown over the years and learned to do better. Regarding Zionism and the boycotts, I am being a little lenient since they’re in the military and maybe can’t say much, but Tae didn’t have to post an old pic of McDonald’s. He is too old and too online to have not known. He doesn’t care. Same way he doesn’t care about saying nigga or appropriation.

Turns out this co worker is truly clueless.

I had to give a lesson on recovery. The first thing you learn when working in almost any retail setting. (Sometimes called something else tho. But its putting shit back and tidying up after customers leave shit everywhere) literally first thing.

So im teaching them how to tell if somethings out of place, which i thought was common sense, but I walked to a wall of capes and there was a (fake) sword hanging there and im like okay so whats going on here? In my Teaching Voice and they just like. Straighten the hangers. When the sword is RIGHT THERE. So I say thats great but theres something that doesn't belong here.

It FINALLY gets thru to them and they put it away

We do some more recovery and I say okay you do the rest I have manager shit to do.

The doodles are terrible and very quick, you have been warned ok, but i hope they would at least make you chuckle by the end of this post

The main plot was that they were playing in my town. We literally have one small theatre there, everyone used to go there for various school plays/competitions. So, my unhelpful brain supplied a sort of... supporting performance before the ritual, done by primary school kids. Cause that's what i mostly connect this place with. It was, uhh, a contemporary dance show? And 1/3 kids wore black, 1/3 had some white/pastel rags/shirts on them and the rest had terrible, awful, nightmare fuel vessel cosplays on (but it's not important). Now, the rags/shirts part is important, because the band, as per my brain's logic, wanted to show gratitude (i guess?) by matching with the kids. So they wore various polo shirts (well, most of them did). Polo shirts that were put on their usual stage costumes.

Now, terrible doodles ensue!

THIS DOODLE IS NOT A GOOD REPRESENTATION OF HIS LITTLE SKIRT THOUGH. He slayed, had SO MUCH FUN IN IT, it was flowy and, you know, kinda marylin monroe-esque. He had a time of his life (unlike vessel).

So. I'm allowing myself a vent post or two abt Stuff in the Brain today that won't fuck off, but it'll all be under a cut if I feel I'm at risk of being too wordy so folks don't gotta see this if they don't wanna. I'm behind on getting Mum a bday gift. Like two weeks behind. Partially bc money, partially bc the thing I really wanted to get her involves bidding on ebay and attempting to win a listing (and I just haven't managed it yet lmao), and partially bc like:

For once I've been living my life for me, thinking abt me and Housemate first and foremost, and focusing on what I actually want/need from day to day, and that means I'm away from my phone a bit more than usual, which means I've missed some calls and texts from Mum and just haven't been as Available via phone/apps/etc as I've been in the past

(including one time in the last week or so where Housemate and I stepped aside to the kitchen to make ourselves mac n cheese, and Mum was late to calling me for a planned call, so I figured I was safe to leave the phone by the couch while we cooked. Nope! In that less than half hour, 25 mins at most that it took us to finish mac and get plated up, she figured we'd both A. fallen down the stairs and were now dying from brain bleeds while the cats sniffed us in panic and fear B. decided to cut her out of my life forever and so now I wasn't going to be answering her calls (tho this point I didn't know until a much more recent text where she admitted to it and did say she was ashamed of feeling that way.) )

So I really need to get something out to her, either the chocolates I was planning on sending for her and the family from a local shop, the Snoopy Build-A-Bear plushie with a lil 'I miss you' tshirt and a voice thingy inside it with me telling her to remember that I love her and am always grateful for her help and care and things like that, whatever will fit lol (this is the fucker that triggered this whole train crash of a set of thoughts today lmao), and/or something from one of the ebay listings I've been trying to get (I just need to accept it and pay the buy it now price considering what the thing is isn't like. Uber rare? But apparently Bon Jovi doesn't have their figurines made any more, so they're a bit harder to find and I'm gonna risk not getting one at all if I don't just. do the dang thing lmao)

I'm thinking the Snoopy would be best/easiest for rn, but I keep getting stuck on what I'll say for the recording and it's so dumb but like:

I know, for the sake of both of us and the deeply grown and intertwined sort of emotionally incest-flavoured codependency Mum and I have, we probably should eventually try going NC or LC for at least like. a month or two in the future? Probably even a bit longer? Not as like a 'this is forever' thing (unless something would happen that would point to that as the best option for both of us), but just until we can maybe both heal a bit and work closer towards something even vaguely approaching a more normal mother/son relationship.

And the particular fear is very silly but like. I'd hate to say the things I have planned, that I mean (I do love her, and I know she does her best, and so I'm grateful for every bit and every sort of help she's ever given or will ever give me), and then we someday go NC or LC, and she's hurt by having the plush and audio around as a reminder of how things were before. I could see her throwing it away in a fit, and then being so sad and begging for a new one by the next day. And I'd want to get her one. I don't know if that's right of me or not.

Like, the trauma has me Entirely overthinking this and I know it's ridiculous, you know? But still. Got the Build-A-Bear tab open on my phone bc the chocolate is at least partially to be shared, so that's Not Enough as a partial belated bday gift; and I'd like to hit another paycheck (or part of it, since the uni rarely puts the full fucking direct deposit in on scheduled payday lmao) before I try for the Bon Jovi figurine (and hope it isn't bought before that point.) So the plush is really the best choice, and I don't want to wait any longer to send anything out bc like. Her bday was at the beginning of March, this is fucking ridiculous of me and not how I like handling gifts at all, for anyone!!

Fingers crossed I just. Get the fucking recording done, get it ordered and have them send it out to her, and that'll be enough until I can get my hands on a figurine and/or order the chocolates and candies for her, her bf, and to share with the rest of the family.

So it's taken me a ridiculous amount of time to attempt this course that should have been completed in 12 weeks. And I've only just finally submitted the assessment of my second unit (2 of 4). I did actually submit it initially on schedule but I was asked to add some info. And then after doing that was asked to add yet more info to another question! Ma'am!!

Anyway. This is not really anything to be proud of (to most anyway) but I am proud. I have attempted to get back to work on this course for a HOT minute. And each time I have sat down or tried to sit down to work on it I have ultimately failed and done, nothing.

Today, I actually REMEMBERED that my tutor had given today as a deadline to add this additional info as it was only a small amount required. Thankfully I remembered coz I had no reminders set, nor did I note it anywhere.

But, after having less than three hours sleep due to my period crippling me late into the night and a contractor turning up first thing to work on my en suite (which he didnt finish til about 1), and then - when I was finally thinking about decompressing in my space alone for a grip before approaching this task - I had to take my ma to the doctor on a last minute urgent thing.

I handled both disruptions incredibly well. Brought my ma home and went out to cop me some energy drinks and a couple snacks coz I'm still trying this maintaining glucose levels thing and I knew I needed to work.

I very almost started gaming when I got back in coz I cant stand going from external thing to focused thing without a transitional period. But I knew I was running the risk of getting sucked in.

Instead, I kept in my ear buds, danced around, started on my energy drink (and a cheeky glass of moscato) sat down to work - laptop tried to beef me so I got myself prepared for the task I had to approach while it sorted itself out. Got distracted by a linkedin email and found myself on the app job searching. Yes, productive. No, not conducive to the matter at hand.

Hennyway, I managed to shift my focus back to the assignment. Did one part and was gonna take a one song break (coz pressure from Encanto came on shuffle and I'm not gonna work through that coz like I NEEDS to belt) but ended up pausing it while I prepared the second part. Then ended up just completing the second part and submitting and now I'm done.

And sure, all in all, it was about ten to fifteen mins of work. And yeah, it's a relatively minor thing in the grand scheme of things. But still! I did something and focused when I intended to and stopped myself getting distracted and stayed on task.

I will add that part of what helped the transition was D asking me if I'd submitted my poems for the competition yet just before I headed to the dr. [As established, deciding to work on my poetry was that THING I needed to get excited and motivated] It set me in a space where I was wanting to be productive. I sent him a few poems for his insight. He doesn't do poetry and all that so it was an odd choice but he is also not afraid to be critical and won't just tell me everything is great (also he gave v positive feedback to the poem which is like... the crux of me and the manuscript I'm gonna put together so omfg YES)

Long long long ass post coz I'm typing on my surface and not as limited as when I'm on mobile, plus typing speed lord jesus.

Anyway, I'm proud of myself. And even tho D didn't provide any overt or particularly hands-on application of accountability/responsibility, he did put my attention on a worthy task, and the best one he could've to kick me into gear.

I have been away cause me is a bit sick, and i came back to someone talking about mcytblr event. And i legit went 👀✨ for a min there.

And yes I agree on the prev ask, scheduling is HARD. I'm no professional, but i have some tiny personal experience in doing it mostly bc my irl lads wanna hang out and i usually have to plan for us. That and also I own a server (its private lol) and sometimes, my very cool friend make some kind of games, so i have to help set up what time/date so everyone can prepare.

Also since our server is restarting from the beginning, setting everything up and making sure everything works is stressdful asf wjdjd tho i did learn a lot on how to set servers and stuff. But still, i salute CC Grian for being able to do this wjdjwjd

Yeah scheduling is a PAIN, especially when things come up at the last minute cuz you can't PLAN for that, ya know? But yeah lmao event planning is hard, I would perish on the spot if I didn't have Belle to help me install mods and set servers up 😔 They had to walk me step by step through installing diversity 3 for us to play LMAO
