The intense training that Morty willingly put himself through in his vain attempt to be worthy of the legendary pokemon he long since revered often came with quite a few injuries. The ghost type expert was used to pains in his head, though with the blood that was running down his face this time, it was less from over using his powers this time and more from his other training getting him into a different kind of trouble, namely getting his head cut open on top of the headache he was starting to get.

Though, this happened enough times that even his closest companions tended to just give him some water and leave him be... well, all of them were used to it aside from Larry. It was a risk to do this today when the everyman was visiting Johto, which he knew thanks to Lance giving them all the heads up that they were going to be assessed in front of other league officials, though... this had to be the worst timing ever on his part... something he felt but ignored, his own fault, really.
