She had been quick to gather their two small children and hide them in their agreed upon safe room, heart thudding rampantly against her ribcage as she stood in the kitchen, grabbing a few of things she knew she'd need for certain spells once they got somewhere safer before her husband had returned to her side and pulled her down. Wide ocean irises met his own, head shaking as she released a shaky breath. "We should go to the boarding school," Lily is quick to suggest. "They've got the best security and I can help with protection spells there. I'll get the kids and meet you in the car?"

"Don't think so," Alex grabbed the Triad agent attempting to get into their house by the collar and slammed his head into the frame until he went limp. Clearly they were on a list somewhere, because the body at his feet was at least the third that had shown up looking for his wife. He kicked the body out of the way and shut the door behind him, bolting it securely and moving into the kitchen.

Taking his wife's hand, he pulled her down into a crouch. "I don't think we can stay here. They know where we are, and I don't think they're gonna stop coming. I'm going to grab the go bag from the bedroom closet and then we're going to get out of here, okay?"
