     Keith wasn’t a socialite, by far, but he enjoyed PLEASANT conversation with others whenever it did manage to rise, otherwise content in remaining silent and allowing others to do the talking. Rare an instance as it were, it was such a moment that he found himself in the midst of pleasantries, reserved and quiet, but contributing all the same-- that is, until he felt a FAMILIAR presence approach from behind, excusing him from the group altogether.

     “Shiro?” He couldn’t help but murmur aloud, gaze rising in question, but otherwise not pressing the matter further. Keith followed without resistance, as though the gentle pressure upon his back, NAVIGATING him forward down unmarked paths, were all his own. Wherever Shiro wanted him to go, he would without question.

     “Okay,” he finally spoke after a beat of SILENCE, “I can’t take the mystery anymore-- where are we going?” Despite the levity in his tone, one that was accompanied by a small smile, there was the slightest hint of NERVOUSNESS nestled there, a small prayer of hope that nothing serious had occured.
