God a LOT actually. I'll only name a few though so this post doesn't become super long.

@leftrib/@perditicn - Always gonna recommend this person, this is my buddy Hound, and while they're a slow writer their stuff is ALWAYS worth waiting for. They also like to plot and discuss things extensively which is a VERY big bonus for people who like to talk things out on how muses would respond to things / each other and see where things can lead, especially when it comes to plotting, etc etc. They put a lot of thought and love into their characters and writing and it certainly shows.

@shadowzgather - Another instant recommend. I've been writing w/ Tera since joining the ducktales / dwd fandom. Their main two is Pentious and Valentino but they've also recently added a few ocs, Abel, and Alastor. They're a good writer with interesting takes on their characters. 10/10 would recommend. { They also just reminded me that they recently added Stolas, mb }

@xluciifer - goofy fella, does a REALLY good job with Lucifer and puts so much thought into him. They're always a joy to read with their threads, don't let the fact they're mobile bound turn you away ! They put a lot of effort into their blog and the character and it certainly shows.

@demondads - SAM. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND SAM. They have another blog too i'm pretty sure its @thestupidmeanone which is Church w/ a HH AU on it. Sam's a JOY to talk to and a joy to watch on the dash and write with. 

@plxgue4two - I haven't seen MUCH thread wise but what I have seen i've enjoyed a LOT. Bug has SO much passion for this OC and she's SO well written and thought out. Just { chefs kiss }

@hellshoard - I've been following them for awhile but I gotta say I'm glad I FINALLY got to start writing with them and I would 100% recommend them as well. The mun's a sweetheart { and chaotic } and the muses are great. 

@fearedelight - Sal is another one I recently followed but they also have some REALLY neat ocs + i love their takes on their canons, especially Mammon. { sorry Sal i've been snooping in your HC's } They're also super nice and easy to talk to.

@vietat0 - I see a lot of eve's around but I think this is probably the first one I've gotten to write with and they've def got an interesting take on her imo. Worth checking out + mun is really nice.

@arachnaemboss - and last but not least, this Zestial, I haven't gotten to write with them but I very much do enjoy the portrayal. I'd recommend checking them out if you haven't yet.

@pompedia - I lied I have one more, pom I have followed for a long time and while she only has charlie and emily she writes them SO well. 10/10 give love

I’m glad you were down to let Swain totally-not-adopt her because I was in love with their dynamic since I read up on them and then waited for the comic chapters each week like a man obsessed.

We struggle too! So we're probably the worst at helping with AO3, but here goes...

Once you have an account, if you click our AO3 link from our Pinned Post while logged in, it will take you to our page.

When you're in a work, you can do all kinds of things. Comment on individual chapters, and talk with others through comment threads.

The bar of options at the top lets you read the entire work in a long scroll, or chapter by chapter. You can Bookmark, which others can see on your Bookmarks page -- this is like a public reading list to share what you're interested/like reading. You can Mark for Later, which is a private bookmark just for you. And you can Subscribe, which not only gives you notifications of when a work is updated, but it's also a private bookmark.

You can also download the work too! This is why we moved Night Before Boxing Day to AO3, because of how many people let us know they were copy and pasting from Tumblr so they could read easier and save it.

Also, AO3 has an incredible filter and search to find all kinds of works. And it's really easy to upload work and add tags.

Most of our mutuals are AO3 experts, so if we're missing anything, they'll jump in and help because they're awesome like that.

Also, our writing isn't for everyone, so if it's something you don't like, that's TOTALLY okay!!!! We're still mutuals who support each other by just being mutuals. Just having you in our orbit is a huge comfort and encouragement.

for inspiration, ohhh boy there is a Lot. this moon lady just lives in my mind rent free always!!! ngl tho i feel like my biggest inspo would be .... the little details about her from canon that i just think could've been soooo interesting if they explored it more! don't get me wrong i love how she is in canon (i fell in love with her after all 🥺🥺) but post-extra content is just big ehh to me and i feel like could've done so much more with her but didn't ^_T so i wanna do hakuno moar justice!! 😤 but also the way i wanna write her <3 which is why i really cherrypick a lot of stuff from canon tho i do inspo from it ! hakuno inspo is around every corner but just to list a few- the little mermaid story in general, anything related to artificial intelligence learning emotions / how to love, the nightingale and the rose by oscar wilde, a Lot of mili songs (bathtub mermaid, string theocracy, a turtle's heart, world.execute(me);, nine point eight, etc.), some characters from other media too, iT'S A LONG LIST!!

ohh nonnie my writing style is a mess 😭 /lh i don't know if i can name anything but as i said, hakuno is in da mind 24/7 so if i read or watch something and it gives me some hakuno muse, i keep a lil note of it or just keep it somehow! for example, i read the travelling cat chronicles recently (SO GOOD BTW YOU SHOULD READ IT 😭😭👍❤️❤️) and i read it on my phone so i screencapped every hakunocore parts hehe. like this lil bit! (btw yes i think this stray cat has some very hakunocore qualities. What Of It!)

if i like the way something was written, i simply go 😳📸. that's basically it tbh!! the rpc is a huge inspo to me too thoo!! hakuno's my fav character ever and rping is basically hakuno meeting all sorts of fun muses and characters. how could i not love that!!! i usually read asks that get posted on da dash cuz they're like a nice lil treat 💖 threads require more context and i am simply too slow and late for that </3 i always enjoy seeing my mutuals post tho!!! and i will expose myself here and say that i sometimes stalk dem blogs a little bc i want to read Moar ok........ *insert that one gif of the cursed emoji reaching out of the screen*

And I know you said you try and mimic Rick Riordian but i still wanna compliment you BACK because you can really see in every reply you write that you just love Leo so much and you put a lot of care into his inner feelings even though he hides them a lot!

(1) MMMMMMM. I should be studying but watch me NOT so I can gush about your muses. My bias is gonna show, but the Priestess and Maxima are my faves, mostly because they're the ones I've interacted with, bc really all of your muses are #goals. I love the Priestess because I'm a slut for elvhen lore in da and to see it so creatively used is so cool! All of your portrayal details really fit the lore while at the same time expanding upon it, making her feel both unique but also at the same time

a seamless part of the games. Your ideas for her, most obviously her lack of name, but also the scars and the malnourishment and the accents and her military training and how that affects and plays well with and her devout and reserved attitude, just add so much but also feel like logical extensions of her background and dragon age backgrounds but also so flavoured and unique. It's an amazing balance, and super inspiring! You also have their aesthetics so streamlined and clear that it's hard not to have an idea of who these characters are and what appeals to them. 

In particular, Maxima's aesthetics are so glitzy I love them, they're easily the most shiny things on my dash (at least on Theria) and for Maxima I love how you gave her a half elf background, which adds so much interest to an already interesting character, and how she knows alienage life and has a wider range of experiences than most of the upper classes do. Again with the names, too, and being an importantpart of her identity, and reclaiming her birth name when she goes back to Tevinter (which ig she'd have to do to be officially recognised as part of the family but it also works symbolically too, which is neat). 

And as much as I want all of my characters to know about that because how interesting, and how much more interesting that would make her to Theria, and to Mai, but for different reasons (in that, she'd realise she's missed so much in her mental characterisation of Maxima), I lovehow tight lipped of a secret you keep it (and, really, it make sense and makes it feel more genuine to the lore and source material). I could go on but I really do have to get back but i love your muses okay and the layers of complexity you put into them, both in actions and backgrounds. 

Like I love how the Priestess is intimidating while being super short and sometimes skinny as a twig. It's contradictory but also makes sense because of the work you put in establishing their backgroundand character! There's just so much there! Oh, I also love how Maxima changes in some threads, and even in your shippy threads, she's still verbally flippant half the time even if her internal monologue is different? And just. Yeah! I love how she's definitely got that politician vibe to her in that she knows how to talk to people, and read them, and actively considers herself, too, and what messages she's sending. 

I'm losing focus here trying to cram in all of the things i forgot toBUT they're all fully realised characters with nuance and interest and wildly different and they're just amazing. Also? So are you
