Holding her breath, the Queen waited anxiously for a response from King Magnifico, wondering in silence if their alliance had been completely ruined with her impromptu ramblings. Anna had always been compared to a snowball rolling down a hill, starting off rather small and compact but once she had built up momentum, she was off!, swelling in size with her emotions and musings, usually talking much faster than she could even think.
It came as a quite the relief when Magnifico quelled her worries with gentle words and a soft smile. Anna's shoulder instantly relaxed, her eyes becoming bright and filled with life once more as the man began to relish her compliments and praise, something that was always assumed of the Queen but never really spoken out loud. To actually hear that all of her hard work was paying off meant more to Anna than she could ever say. Her kingdom and the people she loved was all that matter, after all. In her eyes, it was she who was the lucky one.
Unconsciously lifting a hand to her heart, the young sovereign tried her best to hide the overwhelming feeling of joy by clearing her throat and offering a warm smile back at the king, admiration and thankfulness gleaming in her eyes. "Thank you for listening your majesty. And please, in the future, if I ever start going off on a rant again, feel free to throw a snowball at my face. It's the only way to get me to stop, according to my sister.", she laughed. "Speaking of snow....we're here!"
With a new sense of confidence leading her steps, she ran forward towards the cliffs edge, motioning for the king to follow suit. "May I present; Arendelle from above!"

The view was reminiscent of a fairytale landscape; other-worldly and breathtaking. It was something that never grew old for Anna, no matter how many times she had climbed up the mountainside.
Her eyes closed as she breathed in the cold air, her smile widening in contentment before turning to her traveling companion, pride evident within her features. "So, what do you think? It's not Rosas, I'm sure, but you gotta admit at least a little bit that the view is pretty amazing."
Placing her hands of her hips, she peered over the cliff's edge, noticing a familiar swirl of leaves, trailing along the snow. "Gale...", she whispered, excitement beginning to course through her veins. While Anna could not perform feats of wonderous magic as Elsa or Magnifico could, there was something that she could do that was easily just as impressive.
"Hey! If we're going to be allies then you have to meet everyone who is everyone, right?", Anna backed away from the edge, her shoes sinking into the snow as she braced herself for what she was about to do. Without another word, the Queen lunged forward, leaping off the mountainside without leaving so much as a care behind her. In an instant, the wind spirit took notice of the Queen's reckless and playful nature and moved upward, catching Anna with ease and making her float in the air, tossing her around like a ragdoll.

"Your majesty, meet Gale!", Anna laughed, as the wind spirit whistled loudly, lifting the Queen high into the air before dropping her back down onto a bank of snow. "Care for a lift? I promise, it's just as fun as it looks!"
It wasn’t merely polite respect that held King Magnifico’s tongue, but wholehearted interest as the queen began to expound on an impressive—though wildly traumatic—history. He no longer paid much mind to the scenery, to where he stepped, where his cape snagged (rather mindlessly, he had cast a quick spell to levitate the very end just enough to keep it off the ground without using his hands), how far from civilization they had wandered. Genuinely, he wished to know more about the friendly, upbeat, talkative young woman, as genuinely…
Ah, yes. She most certainly was hiding plenty of scars behind that fair and bright smile.
So, as it would go, Magnifico didn’t find himself stunned by the less-than-wonderful experiences—at least the very fact that she had endured them. What was the surprising part was the specifics; one event on top of another, he became speechless even if he had planned on interrupting by the time Queen Anna so casually mentioned her own apparent passing. Froze to death, she said. In a tone no different than proclaiming she had stubbed a toe. His shock was apparent, brows skirting up to his hairline, breath stuttering in his lungs. For someone so young to have persevered through so much…

Finally, his lips parted, but a minuscule puff of an exhale was all he successfully interjected before she was off again. A new hopefulness flooded her timbre: a passion and resolve in the light of which Magnifico couldn’t help smiling. When her words tumbled into a series of profuse apologies and quick corrections, he was chuckling and shaking his head. “Alright, calm down. I wouldn’t have asked if I didn’t want an answer, now would I?” he reassured her, embellished with a quirk to one edge of his lips. “If anything, Queen Anna, hearing all that—everything you’ve been through… It only makes an alliance all the more appealing. You’re exceptionally strong-willed and compassionate all at once; you know that, don’t you?” A hum rose in his throat. “I certainly hope your people understand how lucky they are to have you as their queen.”
Magnifico deliberately moved closer to his company’s side: a gesture of support without making actual physical contact. “You know, that’s a beautiful wish,” he commended. (But nevertheless chose not to divulge how dangerous relying simply on love could be.) “And I’d say it’s very wise of you to not regret the past. It has a funny way of baring its teeth if we can’t move on, learn the lessons it’s provided us instead of lamenting all of the ‘could have beens.’” Maybe, deep, deep down, the king was envious. Nothing in his expression gave that away. “Thank you. For trusting me with thoughts so personal. I have no doubts there’s much we could learn from each other going forward.”
