while i'm here, yes, sati's other clan is the uchiha. his mother was married off to the shikabane clan long, long before the hidden leaf was ever established, forgotten and abandoned in favor of weeding out those who did not or could not manifest the sharingan. that's really all the drama there - marriage arrangements in a time the shikabane weren't yet known for being orochimaru levels of vile and unrepentantly evil, even though they were. too wrapped up in their collective pursuit of power and recognition, making use of science and foreign magic to achieve their goals, manipulating their kekkei genkai (blood manipulation) and penchant for twisted spiritual rituals and curses for the express purpose of changing every shikabane child in the womb, and everyone else too.

sati's mother of course didn't vibe at first, fought every shikabane on the matter tooth and nail, but over time, they chipped away at her mental health, gaslit, manipulated, and abused her until she found herself in a figurative corner. a slow corruption, but one that pinned her against the wall until she bent to the clan's agenda. sati's father married her in the hopes the sharingan might manifest in him, and when it didn't, a number of plans were hatched and then you have sati's backstory, basically. the shikabane were forced out of what would eventually become the leaf, and really all of chimachi, pushed through hundreds of miles of dense, monster-filled forests over the border into yuurei, where they would begin their cycles anew and destroy kaede, too.
