Flashback Friday: Originally posted April 29th, 2020
This was a comic I made at a fan's request.
Autistic POC are severely under-diagnosed and underrepresented in autistic spaces. I can't speak for them, but there are plenty of Autistic POC creators out there who you can learn from!
I suggest Fidget and Fries on Facebook and Instagram.

Don't be suspicious!
Video Description: A video set in a spooky forest. In the background appears a Painted Marionette & Living Luminance. As the "don't be suspicious" meme dialogue progresses, the familiars approach the foreground & center of the video where they jam out to the rhythm of their own now-very loud song and unintelligible mouth noises. They suddenly stop and flee the scene, as if they've just been perceived. For being suspicious.

Heads up… it's Fossil Friday! In this archival image, Museum preparators work on a trio of Tyrannosaur skulls. With 4-ft- (1.2-m-) long jaws and powerful bone-crushing teeth, T. rex was one of the largest and most fearsome carnivores of all time. In fact, this dinosaur could bite with about 7,800 pounds of force (34,500 N)—the equivalent to the weight of three cars! No living animal, and few extinct ones, could rival its bite.
Although Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the most renowned dinosaurs, few of the fossil specimens recovered by paleontologists are complete. The first partial T. rex skeleton was discovered by a curator from the Museum—the legendary Barnum Brown—and we have one of the few specimens of T. rex on public display! Fun fact: The Museum’s T. rex specimen, AMNH 5027, inspired the cover of Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park.

Flashback Friday: Originally posted June 28, 2020
For some reason parents seem to think that posting videos of their autistic children having meltdowns is okay. It's not. It's cruel. You're sharing a video of a very vulnerable moment with the world. Your child deserves their privacy. You should respect that.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY 🇺🇸
WE ARE A GENERATION THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK.
A generation that walked to school and then walked back.
A generation that did their homework alone to get out asap to play in the street.
A generation that spent all their free time in the streets with their Friends.
A generation that played hide and seek when dark.
A generation that made mud cakes.
A generation that collected sports cards.
A generation that found, collected, washed & returned empty coke bottles to the local grocery store for 5 cents each, then bought a Mountain Dew and candy bar with the money.
A generation that made paper toys with their bare hands.
A generation who bought vinyl albums to play on record players.
A generation that collected photos and albums of clippings of their life experiences as a Kid.
A generation that played board games and cards on rainy days.
A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem.
A generation that had parents who were there.
A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn't know we were still awake.
A generation that is passing and unfortunately it will never return no matter how hard we try.
I loved Growing up when I did. it was the best of times

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s… a dinosaur? Nope to all of the above. This Fossil Friday, let’s talk about pterosaurs—the first animals with bones to evolve powered flight. Though they were related to dinosaurs, pterosaurs evolved on a separate branch of the reptile family tree. They ruled the skies for more than 150 million years, evolving into dozens of different species. Some were as small as a paper airplane while others, like Pteranodon pictured here in the Museum's Hall of Late Dinosaurs circa 1940-1960, had a wingspan of more than 20 ft (6 m).
Along with other large pterosaurs, Pteranodon longiceps was first discovered in western Kansas, near a chalk formation called Monument Rocks. Today the region is dry, but at the time this species lived, about 85 million years ago, central North America was covered by a seaway. This large pterosaur likely spent its days flying over the sea. Unlike early species of pterosaurs, Pteranodon and many other Cretaceous-era species didn’t have any teeth. In fact, its genus name means “winged and toothless,” while the second name, longiceps, means “long-headed.”
Today, you can find Pteranodon in the Hall of Vertebrate Origins. We're open daily from 10 am-5:30 pm! Plan your visit.
