Hold on a moment--- the Doctor --- the definition of all the good in the universe, the poster child of hope and chaotic good rebelliousness doesn't like their own daughter? Is this a joke? Kira's glancing around the Academy for the hidden camera's, wondering if Saeya is pulling the ultimate prank on her.

She blinks, giving an offended look, mouth agape. "It can't be the same person then. Are you sure you haven't run into some terrible copy? Or maybe it was my father in disguise as him? I've heard he rather loves disguises, and fooling others." Plus Kira doubted her own father liked her anyway too.

Just take it slow," The Visionary held her hands out for the other, so she could use them to pull herself up. She'd made sure to check the other over twice to make sure she was alright. She was a doctor after all, even if she was rarely seeing patients any more and was choosing adventuring instead.

She really ought to learn how to pay more attention to things-- or more to the point, pay less attention to everything that’s going on all around her, though really, she couldn’t help it, it’s all still so beautiful-- and she finds herself practically knocking over a poor, unsuspecting woman and whatever she’s carrying.

“I’m so sorry,” she apologizes profusely, gathering up the contents of the other’s bag, “I’m such a silly old--”

She stops herself as her hand closes around something cool and metal, inscribed with runes she hadn’t seen for almost as long as she can remember. As she reads them, she takes in a shaky breath, eyes widening.

“...Aunt... Aunt Saeya?...” she manages, eyes fixed on @theresastargirl​​ . “Is it really you?...”

the familiar sound of the engines whirring to a steady stop echoed in though the tiny town as that little blue box landed in the back yard of their daughters home. of course they weren't able to settle down in one spot for very long, the itch for exploration and adventure much too strong.

" I really thought I'd find her this time. " they sighed, shrugging off their coat and tossing it over the railing behind them. " I could have sworn 2164 was where she would be ... never mind. we'll find your niece soon enough, Saeya. "

She keeps sighing dramatically and fussing around, glancing every now and then at the person sitting in the room with her, trying to get their attention. Spending her days locked away in the Vault has been starting to drive her more bananas than she thought she already was. Letting out one more unsuccessful attempt to get the others attention, Missy speaks. "Saeya....I'M BOREEEDDD!!! Entertain me! Tell me a funny story. What have you been up to? I wanna giggle until I regenerate."

The Doctor shoots his daughter an offended look, as if she didn't already know what she was signing up for when she gave him the aux cord to plug into the TARDIS and play music. "Really, Saeya? I thought I raised you better than that. For your information, my dear, this is a classic. It has even gone down in history for being so iconic. I would know-- I was the inspiration for it."

He presses the play button as the music for Nyan Cat sounds throughout the TARDIS once more. He gives a proud smile towards his daughter. "Would you rather I play more Beethoven or Mozart?"

They didn't mean for it to happen. At least it wasn't intentional. It was honestly a pure accident, really, but they knew no one else would really believe them. Why should they? However, there was that brief spark of rebellion that was always bottled up and locked away deep inside Kira coming forth in this moment, saying screw it all! She glanced at the flames dancing around, a small smile on her face. "Aww...but the fire is so pretty! And so what? Everyone will probably find some way to blame it on us anyway, regardless if it is our fault or not. We are the daughters of renegades, after all, and as that Earth saying goes: 'the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...'"
