i genuinely haven't kept up with the fandom recently and i don't know what went down and of course it is unfortunate if people have had to deactivate, but i can't comment on it without knowing the full picture. the point is, speaking up about Palestine and calling for a ceasefire goes beyond fandom spaces. i've observed this on twitter too, most online spaces are divided among fans wanting their faves to speak up and those defending these artists. regardless of whether of not y'all believe celebrities should speak up on important matters, i hope this is not diverting focus from the genocide to a different discourse. there is time to analyze the necessity of having powerful voices backing up humanitarian causes, but calling for ceasefire and supporting Palestinian liberation should always be the most important thing and a priority.
