Context: an autistic man (Melchior) raised in a cult escapes and works at a gas station. He meets and starts a relationship with a charming but mysterious man (Wren) that starts to frequent the station. Eventually has a supernatural element fight as the end for flavor.

Another thing I appreciate about MASH is how anti-war it is - it’s deffo one of those things that I don’t think you would know if you didn’t watch the show? Like the central premise, the main character, is a Pacifist that is forced into the war as a doctor. People who believe in the war machine are cast as bad guys or at minimum as deluded. The doctors of the show are stuck in this war and whenever they get close to getting to leave the government moves the finish line farther away from them, trapping them in hell
