“It was, um, my mom’s.” Chris turns the small tube carefully over in his hands. “Sometimes I, uh…” he gestures towards his mouth, looking half scared and half hopeful. “When Dad isn’t home. You wanna try?”
”Sure!” Daniel puckers up the way girls do in movies, shivering a little as Chris traces the lipstick over his mouth. He turns to face the mirror, a hint of trepidation curling in his belly.
There’s no preparing for the way his lips shine, the way it makes his whole face glow dusky soft. Lipstick on a boy should be goofy, but Daniel doesn't feel that way at all. He feels…he doesn’t know what he feels.
(would Sean laugh, seeing him like this? or would he look at Daniel the way he does sometimes, and not stop looking?)
”It’s cool,” he says slowly, suddenly not able to meet his own eyes. “Can you make me a wolf now?”
”Huh?” Chris is staring at their reflections—at Daniel’s reflection—with his mouth slightly open. “Uh, yeah. Yeah, sure.” He gives himself a shake, grabbing for Kleenex, and Daniel tries to ignore a small sense of loss as the red is wiped away.

LGBTQ pride roses
Well, Pride Month is here, so I start writing some LGBT stories for June. This story featuring two queer lovers is a entry for @thepromptfoundry Pride and Promptudice prompt roses.
Robert the Duck, a male duck with green father on his head, is driving around as he look for some roses to give to his husband David the Mallard on Valentine's Day and it can be a hard challenge when one have to hide their sexually in this animal city.
Robert managed to find a flower store having a Valentine's Day sale and, after he park the car, Robert went inside.
David, a white feather male duck, was amazed that his husband Robert got him roses for Valentine's Day while he got different colored flowers to make a bouquet of rainbow coloreds to symbol the LGBTQ+ flag.

Welcome to the Prompt Foundry!
This month's prompt list is: MerMay Next month's prompt list is: Pride and Promptudice
Turns out I enjoy making prompt lists, and I'm pretty good at it, too, so I've started this blog to centralize that for everyone's convenience.
I plan to have themed prompt lists up monthly, with prompts for each day. They will be tagged "prompt list" and the current one will be linked in this pinned post each month.
My prompts are meant to be usable for both writers and visual artists and welcome both original work and fanwork (unless otherwise specified by a given theme). If you do some other kind of art—music, fiber art, soapmaking, dance—and can see a way to use these prompts as well, you are more than welcome to do so!
I encourage you, dear fellow creatives, to have a go at any prompts that strike your fancy, without worrying about committing to the whole month if that's more than you can manage right now. Goodness knows I won't be able to fill all my own prompts. Skip days, start late, do prompts from August in January, whatever works for you. I want this to be fun!
If you post your prompt responses, please tag me @thepromptfoundry or @icannotreadcursive and I'll reblog your work here!
