So today I discovered the existence of "super glitch" moves, which are glitch 'mon specific moves in Pokemon Red/Blue and Yellow that straight-up corrupt your RAM if used. In addition, they also make the game start acting like a creepypasta. Here's a recap (all info quoted/paraphrased from Bulbapedia):
The glitch is caused by super glitch moves not having names, so the game chooses a RAM fragment as the name instead
If you use (or, in some cases, even view) a super glitch move in the menu, the following happens:
The opponent's name changes to "TMTRAINER"
The opponent's Pokemon gains such a large amount of HP that it forces the HP bar to wrap around the screen
That Pokemon will also be labeled as poisoned but the game will state it's frozen, and then it becomes burned out of nowhere
Becoming burned causes it's giant HP bar to deplete and it to faint instantly
Your Pokemon that used the move may gain enough HP to grow past level 100
All Pokemon in your party may evolve after a battle where a glitch move was used, causing non-evolving Pokemon to evolve into themselves
Some Super Glitch moves may turn your 'mon into a Missingno, set most of their moves to waterfall, and/or make their level 127
If you manage to get past the fight and return to the game:
Your Pokemon will constantly act poisoned and faint endlessly, except they're glitch Pokemon which were never part of your party to begin with
Parts of the map will become glitched out
Your character's name will become glitch symbols and you can't view any of your Pokemon
Pokemon logged in your Pokedex will disappear every few steps
Viewing a PC will show a ton of glitch Pokemon with stats over 999 that crash the game if interacted with
I'm going to end off on this note, which I'm just going to quote directly from Bulbapedia because there is no way to make this funnier than it already is:

FUN AND TOTALLY REAL FACT!
in the first generation of pokemon the gym badge given out by gym leader erika is referred to as "the rainbow badge" instead of the flower badge or the grass badge
this is because gym leader erika is attracted to women

Primary Colors.
There’s an old fic of mine called ‘Blue Skies’ that I’ve been working on behind the scenes; I’m rebranding it as Primary Colors. Why? Because I simply *had* to change the names to fit Japanese (Blue the girl with blue eyes, Green the rival with green eyes)- that is how I read it, and now my subconscious will not change. It’s interesting that the title revolved around the rival, and now actively isolates him from the group.
I’m super excited for this one guys. Taking creative liberties on my favorite franchise ever? Diving into Green and Blue’s path, integrating eevee, letting Yellow take a more powerful role, Blue the trickster and role model? It’ll be a while, but it will be done one day. Fingers crossed that day will take place sometime this summer.
Hope to see you around! 🐾

#407. In Generations I-III Players can use the move Cut to clear away tall grass around the Player, removing a 2x2 tile patch of grass in Generations I and II and a 3x3 tile patch of grass in Generation III.
In Pokémon Emerald, if the Pokémon that uses Cut has the ability Hyper Cutter, the area of cut grass will be larger, removing a 5x5 tile patch of grass instead. (X)
