To me, at least in my own opinion, they’ve demonstrated how much they clearly care for the MC— both within the demo and within asks on here.

thinking about that one scene in neverseen where keefe's eyes are a sort of shimmering teal after a certain kind of light leap and della is like "funny how that makes keefe look like a vacker lol" (paraphrase, somewhere in neverseen).

this implies that teal eyes are sort of a vacker trademark, not just for the main vacker family, but for vackers as a whole. the whole vacker family. teal eyes are trademark in their family tree, apparently.

so why does fallon vacker. the og vacker. the vacker-iest vacker to ever vacker. why does he have midnight blue eyes??? you're telling me the og vacker doesn't even have the trademark vacker eyes??? the most famous vacker of them all doesn't have a feature that's heavily associated with his name and his family??? the most well-known vacker of them all doesn't have teal eyes???

When I went on my honeymoon to Sevilla, I took about 700 photos. Every 50, or so, I dutifully ensured there was one of me and/or my spouse, so I could show them to my relatives. The rest are of architecture, because I have always been me. Most of these are details of ceilings, floors, the undersides of staircases and balconies, and other places that people could have gotten away with leaving undecorated, but chose to beautify instead.

My new husband followed me around, smiling indulgently. He did not care about the pretty tiles. He cared greatly about my passion.

Almost 15 years later, he still lets me babble about the buildings around us. And I'm still struggling to take enough pictures of human beings to satisfy my relatives.

okay why does no one say, hey, how come these mother and daughter have the same last name if there is a husband/dad in the picture? surely, Nam is not as common as Lee, or Kim, or Park. maybe i missed someone talking about that at some point... i get Su Ah’s super sleuth mom being oblivious to her husband’s affair (this is actually hilarious, can’t wait to see this play out, i can’t believe that once again i am rooting for adultery) -- she’s too focused on ruining other people’s lives and using the debris to build her daughter’s -- still, with all the ridiculous stuff that passes for scandal among these people, how come she never got suspicious and dug in that direction. 

also -- and i’m long past bewilderment about kdrama people having no concept of privacy and boundaries -- even with the motherless/fatherless child/single mother/father etc. stigma that, according to kdramas, still exists in SK society, are there really people so insane as to point fingers at a kid who dares keep it a secret that her mom is actually her aunt, and to call her a two-faced sociopath? 

it’s things like this that make me respect a drama like Red Balloon more. and i am hate watching (fast forwarding a lot too) Red Balloon by now: all the characters are various degrees of crappy, i don’t feel bad for any of them, and i want to see all of them except the poor innocent children just vanish off the face of the earth in the end (okay, it’s not true, the idiot younger sister and the idiot Nam Cheol managed to make me tear up in this last episode, the idiots just look like they are genuinely love each other, adultery notwithstanding). but Red Balloon isn’t fooling anyone. you know what you’re getting into. it’s unpleasant but it’s honest and more realistic than we’re comfortable with. its makjang is recognizable and does not have artificial flavors. the aftertaste is pure, organic ashes and shit. why am i still watching it? 글쎄. i just can’t look away. i want to see everything go up in flames. it will be cleansing.

anyway (man, i love how she says it :D), now we’re going to waste screen time on the crazy mom antics, and then it’s going to be the murderer’s time to shine. ... poor romance, crushed par for the course. but maybe i’m not being fair: the Korean title clearly says “scandal” and it’s my own fault for not recognizing the priority or having a different definition of a scandal. 

why am i still watching it? well, i’m still holding out for some proper romancing. but mostly because Jeon Do Yeon and Kyung Ho are worth it, and romancing Jeon Do Yeon and Kyung Ho doubly so. i have nothing to hide: i did watch Payback just to listen to Lee Sun Kyun use his famous voice very seductively and watch Lee Sun Kyun grin very cockily, too. i want to say, tragically low on romance, that one. yes, no romance for LSK, again! tragic! criminal! (do you realize i’m still subsisting on My Mister fantasies and one sex scene from Parasite? that’s not romance!) or maybe not. maybe it was in fact blissfully completely romance-free. it could have made the drama more relatable, more colorful (it seems all the colors are in Mongolia, so i’m glad he went back). or it could have wreaked havoc on those businesslike 12 episodes. i don’t know. all i know is when a thing is well-written, i don’t really care one way or the other.
