I have another question, sorry if I'm spamming 🫣 but I was wondering if Kouki has ever attended meetings with his parents as the heir to the Gojo family? And how are Reader, Kouki, and Saiki treated in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen as the wife and children of the "strongest" ?
Kaleidoscope Series—Clouds and Mochi Chapters: { Field Trip }

𑁍 WC/CW/TW: (1.2k)—/timeline where Satoru managed to accomplish his goal of resetting the jujutsu society, remnants of traditionalist clan, politics, Y/n's role as the Madame of Gojo Clan, Kouki and Saika are candidates for being the next clan head—/
𑁍 A/N: will be catching up to the piled-up asks one by one~

If someone told you a decade ago you will be seated in meetings of the Gosanke, meet and discuss matters with the prime minister regarding matters with the jujutsu society, or the one overseeing the Gojo Clan in Satoru's stead, you would laugh at them and tell them they got their heads in the clouds.
Yet perhaps, one cannot really talk with finality because fate seems to always like bending what seems to be impossible to possible.
After all what would they expect from a human with a not so significant amount of curse energy to manage the top family of the jujutsu clans? Much more to be the drive behind movements in the Gojo Clan, resulting in movement in the stagnant jujutsu society.
Many traditionalist clans spited Satoru for such "preposterous" action. While the minority saw it as progress. Either way, they have not much of a choice but to address you accordingly as the Madam of the Gojo Clan and treat you as the wife of Gojo Satoru.
"If you don't feel good, you can excuse yourself and go with Yuta Onii-chan. He's guarding outside." You held hands with an eight-year-old Kouki who is wearing his light blue traditional haori and hakama with the Gojo Clan crest whereas you wear a kurotomesode with five Gojo Clan crests signifying the formality of this meeting. "Whatever you hear in the meeting must stay in that room and will never be brought out, do you understand, sweetheart?"
"I will be fine. I will sit beside you and protect you, Mama." Kouki looked at you with a determined look on his face so much as if you were looking at Satoru.
"Really? Mama feels safe having you beside me today sweetheart." You gently pat his head and motion for your bodyguards to stand outside as you enter the meeting chambers of the Three Great Sorcerer Clans and the Higher-ups.
You walked in with a stolid greeting to everyone as you found your seat on the round table and Kouki sat one step behind you in an impeccable seiza form he perfected in his etiquette classes.
It seems no one has expected the young scion of the Gojo Clan today and didn't take long to point out your son's presence. The others greeted Kouki as he returned them politely, the others took some time to eye the son of Gojo Satoru before turning to you.
"This isn't a playground for kids to easily enter."
You glance at the vicious tone of a minor clan head, one of the few traditionalists who survived the crusade.
"He is eight years old, and done with his hakama-no-gi." You glance at your son wearing his kimono like any adult in this room, then back to the older man. "Borrowing my husband's words, it's a field trip."
"Gojo Y/n, this meeting is not for kids to attend. This regards confidential matters of the Jujutsu administration. What are you trying to do?" An elder man seconded the motion.
"Young as he is, my son is one of the candidates as heir to the Gojo Clan. He needs to learn. Unfortunately, my daughter is still young so she cannot attend yet." You smiled.
Kouki saw the disagreement and unsatisfied looks of the people around them.
This is probably why his father always looks haggard when talking about this formal stuff. Clenching his fists he kept his mouth shut and looked at the people around the table, imprinting their faces in the back of his head. If he wants to protect the people he loves, then he will need to do better than this. He needs to protect his Mama.
"Oh, Kouki. Are you here to accompany Y/n-san?" Maki, in her hakama and haori with the Zen'in Clan crest, entered the room and was surprised to see the kid sitting behind you.
"Maki-san, good morning." Kouki promptly nodded at his elder sister who sat beside his mother after ruffling his head.
"Y/n-san, good morning. The hamburger steak you sent yesterday was very delicious. Thank you." Maki smiled brightly at you and looked at the people around the table with narrowed eyes.
"The Daiginjo Sake you sent last week was so good too Maki-kun." You chuckled at the younger girl and whispered. "Satoru was knocked out with just one shot."
With the landscape of the Jujutsu clans extensively reformed from the succeeding wars and tragedies that rocked the society's long-term traditions and foundations, it has also been quite rocky but more open for change regarding the stigma and decisions the higher-ups must execute for more viable options regarding the non-sorcerers and sorcerers welfare.
You were focused in the meeting and had long discussions with the people present. Sooner or later you know Kouki will grow bored and you don't fault him if he wants to leave, after all, no matter how good a kid your eight-year-old son is, he is still a kid, too young to sit on seiza for hours straight.
"Kou-kun? Do you want some onigiri?" Yuta sneaked in a rice ball on the boy who sat straight with his hands on his thighs. "We can go out if you want."
"I will stay with Mama." Kouki couldn't fully understand what the elders were discussing but all he cares is that he can see you work and hold your ground in front of all these people so gracefully. You look so effortless as you handle the matters being thrown at you regardless of how heavy the topic is. You've always been a good communicator, unlike his Papa who can be very nonchalant.
An hour later the session took a break and everyone went out to get some fresh air.
"Sweetheart, your legs must hurt from all the sitting, let me see." You were surprised that Kouki managed to sit through the meeting without being fussy.
"Mama, when I grow up, I'll be like you." Kouki scrunched his nose when he felt how numb his legs had gotten from sitting like that. Your surprised eyes met his determined ones.
"Like me? You're gonna handle clan matters, Sweetheart?" You chuckled and took some snacks for Kouki and Yuta to eat.
"No... I'm gonna be calm and smart like you." He met your eyes. "And I'm gonna protect you."
"You don't wanna be like your Papa?" Satoru popped out of the corner, one hand tucked in the pockets of his slacks, the other carrying your four-year-old daughter with her glittery backpack and frilly yellow dress. "Don't you wanna be strong and handsome like Papa too, Kikufuku?"
Satoru walked by your side and set down Saika who immediately ran to hug you.
"Mama! I missed you."
"Satoru..." You hugged Saika but then sighed at your husband. "Why did you bring her here?"
Satoru shrugged, pulling up his blindfold, and exchanged it with his black glasses. From the slit of the glasses, he swept a sharp glance over the spectators who gathered on the corners since he came with his daughter. It was enough to turn them away. He's just making sure no one would bother you and his son and at the same time make a statement to anyone that would dare that he's watching over his family.
Satoru looks back at you and puts an arm around your waist. He glances down at his son who notices the people watching them as well. The boy certainly is observant more than what's expected of him. Good boy... He returned his eyes to you and just grinned.
"For field trip..."

Footnote:
Hakama-no-gi: Five year old boys celebrate this. When wearing a kimono was commonplace, boys would start wearing the hakama and those boys from a samurai family would wear a haori (jacket) over the hakama. This signifies that the boys have started their journey into adulthood.

Pairing: Gojo Satoru x f!Reader
Going on a mission with Nanami after breaking things off with Gojo doesn't go according to plan.
words: 4362
cw: canon typical violence
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s a suspected Vengeful Spirit. The area has been evacuated and the site sealed off. All citizens within a 500 meter radius have been evacuated. According to our investigation, there are several smaller lower grade curses running amok, grouping together as well.”
“Typically a sorcerer on par with this level of curse would handle it, but since Gojo and Geto are away on business, we’ve been called in to investigate.” Nanami states, adjusting his glasses as Ijichi walks towards you.
“We are often short handed, as I’m sure you’ve been made aware at this point, so taking on missions beyond your expertise is not abnormal, however, there is a chance the potential Vengeful Spirit is Special Grade, so take care and good luck.”
Your lips form a thin line, having a bad feeling about what’s about to come next. You can’t quite place the feeling of uneasiness you have, though it could easily be attributed to multiple factors regarding the curse: the strength and the fact that it’s been capturing women and young girls without anyone having done anything about it up to this point.
On top of all that, you’ve had some heartburn about breaking things off with Satoru in the way that you did a few weeks ago, wondering if you look like a horrible person due to his kids being the straw that broke the camel's back.
It’s not really a problem that he has kids, it’s not something you ever really put thought into for yourself, never entertained the idea given your abilities and lack of being able to maintain a normal healthy relationship.
You groan to yourself and take a deep breath, wondering why you’re worrying about any of this anyway. It’s not like he has to tell you anything about his life, and the fact that you opened up to him is on you, he never forced you, so really, you shouldn’t have that expectation of him to do the same.
And because of that, there’s no real reason for him to tell you he has kids. It’s not like you’re dating and need to know the ins and outs of his life and what he does on his own time for the health of your relationship.
But still, as friends you would have appreciated knowing at least some things when it comes to him.
“Emerge from the darkness, blacker than darkness. Purify that which is impure.”
Ijichi lowering the veil around the abandoned subway station snaps you out of your thoughts, and you chew on the side of your cheek as you watch the cloak of darkness surround the street and nearest buildings to where you’re standing. Looking out of the curtain, the now familiar kaleidoscope effect impedes your view of seeing Ijichi and the car that brought you here.
Taking a deep breath, you turn and stand face to face with Nanami who’s adjusting his glasses, watching you intently.
“We believe the curse is the Vengeful Spirit of Reiko Kashima,” you nod your head, unsure of what that really means for you, “there have been several similar curses that have popped up over the years, based on fear of various tales of her. Though it appears this one could be the real deal.”
Nanami tells you there are numerous popular stories in which she is the main star, it depends on who is telling the story and where you are in the world that will determine which variation you hear. He isn’t sure of which one is true himself, but he does tell you the most popular version takes place after World War 2. Apparently American soldiers did unspeakable things to this girl, things Nanami refused to provide details for, but the end result was her throwing herself onto the track of an oncoming train, now taking the lives of others as her revenge.
“Your job during this mission is to go into the bathroom and wait. If this is the real spirit, she will appear to whoever is alone in one of the stalls. She will ask you a series of questions, if you answer any of them wrong, she will dismember you. Simple as that.”
“Great. No pressure at all. Love that for me.” You mutter under your breath, less than thrilled about being bait on a mission once again.
Nanami makes you go over the questions she’s been known to ask several times, phrasing them in different ways so as to not catch you off guard. When he’s convinced you have a handle on the answers he instructs you to text him, it doesn’t matter what it is, anything will do and he will come in and assist with fighting the curse.
Despite having both you and Nanami on the scene today, there are several other sorcerers with you, all of whom you’re unfamiliar with, and who Nanami instructs to go seek out the other lower level curses and exorcise them until the time comes to join up with the two of you.
“Why do we have to come here when Gojo or Geto should be the ones handling this?” One of the sorcerers whispers to another.
“It’s more of a matter of when someone would be able to make it out to handle this case,” Nanami interrupts their sly conversation, “Geto has been picking up more missions and hasn’t made it to this one yet, while Gojo has been taking the evenings off the last few months for personal reasons. Regardless, we are here now, so let’s get this over with.”
A wave of guilt washes over your body at Nanami’s words because the reason Satoru has been taking time off is because of you, and it’s clear the other sorcerers know that too, despite not voicing it, with the way they look over at you quickly before nodding their head to Nanami and moving on with their portion of the mission.
No matter the circumstance, whether it be directly from you or not, it seems people are still going to get hurt, an indirect result of your existence that makes your stomach sour.
Nanami looks you over before sighing quietly when he sees the way your shoulders sag slightly at his comment and their gaze, “he’s going to make his own choices. Try not to let that get you down.”
Pursing your lips into a thin line, you nod. He’s right, there isn’t a reason to let someone else's decisions bother you, especially now. Just like how you can’t expect Satoru to tell you all the aspects of his life, you can’t force him to do something he doesn’t want to do, after all.
Walking down the steps to access the subway lines, you’re met with a warped view of the terminals. The walls are covered in windows that are so dark and distorted you’re unable to see through them, not that they would have a view to anything aside from a brick wall down here anyway. There are doors hanging off ledges, in the middle of aisle ways, stairs leading up to the ceiling with nowhere to go beyond that.
“Interesting. This domain appears to be incomplete.” Nanami states looking around at the sight.
Complete or not, you know your mission so you begin opening each door you see, trying to find the one that leads to the restroom where you’re supposed to spend your evening as the other sorcerers frolic away to deal with the other curses hanging around.
Checking all of the doors that line the wall, you’re met with dead ends on each and everyone of them. You do eventually find the one you’re looking for, which leads to the bathroom. A door that is near the tracks of the train, not nestled into the wall to hold it up, just out in the open all on its own - perhaps it makes sense, based off the story Nanami told you earlier, and perhaps logically speaking, the lone door next to the tracks without a structure to support it should have been the one you checked first.
The bathroom is in immaculate condition, certainly not one you would expect from a subway terminal in the least, but the tile on the floor is shiny, and the sinks are pristine as you walk in. It doesn’t even smell, which is a blessing in and of itself.
Turning to Nanami you nod your head before closing the door behind you and making your way to one of the stalls. He didn’t specify if you need to pick any one of them in particular so you go into the middle one and lock the door behind you.
Unsure of really what to do with your time now, you sit on the toilet and cross your legs, bouncing the top one as you lean back and wait.
You contemplate texting Nanami to cure the boredom that washes over you, but ultimately decide against it. If he gets anything from you, he’s going to expect it to relate to the curse you’re waiting for, and if it’s anything other than that, he’ll be annoyed with you.
Texting him regardless would be such a Satoru thing to do too which makes you laugh quietly to yourself.
Thinking about Satoru causes the familiar twinge of hunger to present itself in the depths of your core. It’s been a few weeks since the two of you have been together, and you’re well aware that once you begin to feel the hunger, it will quickly get to the point where you’ll need to feed, no matter how long you try to stave it off.
He has tried to contact you several times to talk about why you left that day, says he wants to explain things, that finding the kids stuff isn’t what you’re assuming.
No matter what it was you assumed, there’s still other reasons why you walked away that day, reasons he’s yet to acknowledge.
You’ve been avoiding him, in the halls of the school, not answering his texts or calls, you’ve even managed to skirt your missions with him and accompany Nanami more, which is how you found yourself on this mission today. Of course, when you’re around him, you’re civil, you just do your best to cut any conversation short and make sure you don’t end up with him alone to where he can back you into a corner and make you talk before you’re ready.
You know you will end up going to him - you do have to feed to survive after all. You’re just not ready for that yet, but you’re quickly going to have to make peace with that soon.
Trilling your lips, you hum before standing, stretching out your muscles. Being in the bathroom is so incredibly boring. You should have brought some light reading material with you, anything really so you wouldn’t be waiting around thinking about Satoru so much.
Checking the time on your phone, it’s easily been 30 minutes without a damn thing happening. Of course with curses, there’s no guarantee when they’ll show up, so you’re really on it’s time rather than it being on yours.
“Come out, come out, wherever you are. Stupid curse.” You mutter to yourself. There are no instructions on how to draw the curse out - sometimes taunting them seems to work, at least for Satoru.
Lighting the display on your phone, you check the time once again, though it’s only been a few minutes since you had last checked, you decide to turn around, and get ready to sit on the floor with your back against the stall door, just to be in a different position than what you’ve been in for the last little while.
As soon as your back is facing the stall door you smell a mixture of rotting flesh, blood and burnt electronics. Similar to the curse Satoru first had you fight.
The hair on your body stands straight as a board, a shiver running down your spine at the overwhelmingly dark, sinister presence looming over your shoulder. It’s as if all the air around you has been sucked away, no longer able to breathe, no longer able to even think.
There’s a series of raspy groans behind you, but you don’t have the courage to even dare to turn around and face what’s behind you right now.
You decide at this moment you’re not cut out for this life, not cut out for being bait for missions and especially not curses. It’ll be easy for you to pack up your things and move, there’s nothing here really tying you down here anyway.
Even if the thought causes a lump to form in your throat, and tears to prick in the corner of your eyes.
You can’t bring yourself to look away from your phone, the time on the display staring back, but no longer comprehending what it says as the Vengeful Spirit of Reiko Kashima gasps. You should be texting Nanami right now, as you answer her questions, so he can come in and assist, but you’re unable to move, paralyzed with fear.
“Where are my legs?” She asks, voice strained, choppy and hoarse causing the hair on the back of your neck to rise.
“Shit, um,” you’re scrambling to remember the answers to her questions, wishing you had taken the time to write them down when Nanami reviewed them with you, but you didn’t expect her presence to be so overwhelming, “at Meishin Expressway?”
She hums, it’s a broken sound, mixed with a groan that makes your heart thump so erratically you wouldn’t be surprised if you could see the palpitations from your chest.
“Who told you that?”
Your stomach churns with fear, a sour feeling presenting itself that makes you queasy, palms beginning to sweat so you grip your phone a little tighter as you swallow thickly.
“Reiko Kashima did.” You manage to answer quietly, eyes glued to your phone lock screen reflecting back your image with pure terror in your eyes.
There’s a deep, labored breath from behind you, though you suppose that’s to be the case when you’re missing your entire lower half. What a poor gruesome life this curse lives.
“Give me your arms.” She states, and you briefly wonder why she would want them, when she already has her own.
“I-I’m still using them.”
You tick your head towards your shoulder - you could swear you felt her breath on your ear, a cold chill running from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. You have no idea where she is behind you, in the same stall or outside it, with the way her voice echoes off the wall, it’s hard to place.
Your phone dings, a text from Satoru appears on the display, the phone screen having locked several minutes prior when the curse appeared to you. Why couldn’t he have messaged you before the curse showed up? You probably would have given in and answered.
Satoru: I know you’re pissed but you need to feed soon.
“Give me your legs.” The curse croaks out.
“Um, no. I’m, uh, I’m still using- I still need those.” You correct the answer before finishing your sentence, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath trying to concentrate on the matter at hand.
But your mind is racing a thousand miles per second, about the curse seemingly behind you and what you’re supposed to say, and Satoru texting you. He knows you’re on a mission with Nanami because he wasn’t able to come do this one. Satoru has been so adamant you learn to deal with distractions, yet he’s clearly never thought of himself as one.
“What’s my name?” Your phone dings again with another message from Satoru, and had you been paying attention, you would have heard the slight snicker in the curses voice.
Satoru: We don’t have to talk about anything if you’re not up for it yet. Just let me help with what I can.
“Reiko Kashima.” Your eyes widen at your answer, “No nonononono, I mean, the masked demon of death-”
It’s too late because you’re being hurled into and through the brick wall of the bathroom stall in front of you with a nauseatingly intense force that has your head throbbing when you finally hit another wall on the opposite side of the subway station, coming to a complete stop.
You gasp when the wind is knocked out of your lungs on impact and there’s a searing, shooting pain on the left side of your body followed by the feeling of warm liquid pooling and dripping down your arm, chest and stomach.
Your head bobs, eyes half lidded, you don’t bother looking down to see what’s impaled you, certainly not a sight you want to see, should it be your last.
It’s hard to focus, eyesight foggy, brain hazy, unable to move. There’s a ringing in your ear, and you think maybe you can hear your name being called, but you can’t be quite sure.
You try to take a breath, but your lungs feel heavy and full, and the pain to your left shoots through your body once again. So you take low shallow breaths instead.
There’s a figure in front of you. A girl with long, stringy black hair that looks like she just crawled out of a well, no legs, wide eyes and a grin that’s too large for her face, looking like the sides have been cut up to her cheek, crawling towards you. Arms resembling a spider, too long for the rest of her half body and looking like one moves her limbs to inch closer and closer to you.
It’s hard to concentrate on that, knowing this is the end, so you lay your head back against the wall as it all fades to black.
Tumblr media
Nanami stands with his back pressed against the wall, opposite of the door you walked through, waiting on your text to signal him to enter the room. It’s taking longer than anticipated which is disheartening.
So much for a long, relaxing evening at home.
He debates grabbing his phone to check his notifications, confirming he hasn’t missed anything coming in from you. Normally not one to worry about checking his devices frequently and just waiting for the vibrate of his phone in his pocket, but with you it’s different.
Because he knows Gojo would burn the world to ash if anything ever happened to you.
Clenching his jaw, he folds his arms and leans back against the wall, closing his eyes, there’s no point in checking for a notification when he knows nothing has come in from you yet anyway.
As soon as his eyes close an ear splitting scream can be heard to the right before the wall down the hall bursts open with you flying through it, the wall crumbling and falling down. He uses his elbow to shield his nose and mouth waiting for the dust to settle. He hears the moment you make impact with the wall that stops your momentum, the crack of bones breaking due to the force.
A sickening cackle can be heard before a girl with long legs comes crawling out of the hole it created. Without wasting any time, Nanami wraps his tie around his hand, grabbing his blade from the holster on his back and pushing the curse back several feet with his cursed technique.
It’s definitely Special Grade, and he won't be able to kill it himself, due to lack of time, needing to check to see if you’re still alive, and he will need the other sorcerers to come back and assist before any real damage can be done. It shouldn’t take them long, they will have heard the explosion from the wall and will make their way back to assist at any moment.
For now, the curse is pushed back enough, that without its legs it will take some time to crawl and make its way back over to where you are, even with its extraordinarily long arms.
Taking a deep breath, Nanami puts his blade away before rushing over to where you finally stopped, seeing the bruises that are already blooming on your skin, your uniform tattered and ripped. There are pipes impaling several parts of your body, a strong scent of copper filling the air with the blood that seeps out from the wounds.
As he makes his way over to you, he sees the way you roll your head, body twitching a few times but he’s unsure if you’re still alive or if these are your final moments, either way, his hand is already in his pocket, pulling out his phone to reach out to Gojo for assistance.
“Hey, Nanamin~” Gojo sings as he picks up the phone. There’s some static on the other end, indicating he’s either in a cave or in the process of fighting a few curses. Either are likely knowing him.
Nanami says your name slowly, with a deep sigh at the end, catching Gojo’s attention. “She’s hurt. Severely. I thought you should know since- well, you know her abilities better than anyone else.”
“Call Shoko. I’m on my way.”
Nanami adjusts his glasses, staring at the sight before him as he places his phone back in his pocket. He needs to check your pulse before calling Shoko, he’s nothing, if not prepared, even in a crisis. This is certainly information she’ll need to know.
Moving towards your limp body, impaled by several jagged metal pipes starting at your shoulder, down to the side of your stomach and even one through your thigh, Nanami sighs.
Just as he reaches his hand out for your neck, to check your pulse point, you stir, adjusting slightly, but unable to move much due to the objects you’re impaled on. When his fingers make contact with your neck, your eyes flutter open slowly, glassy, unfocused, rasping out his name as well as you can.
You’re alive. For now at least.
“Try not to move. I’ve called Gojo, and I’m getting ready to call Shoko.” Nanami states, retracting his hand to pull his phone from his pocket once again.
You groan, reaching forward, grabbing him by his shirt, using it to pull yourself out and away from the wall. Nanami places his hands gently on your hips, away from any of the visible cuts, wounds and gashes he can see, holding you still.
“You need to stay in place. Those could be keeping you alive-”
You pull yourself towards him with a grimace and a loud groan from the pain, no longer attached to the wall, but most definitely bleeding out. As each wound begins oozing out blood, your lips attach to his.
He knows of your abilities, how you survive, how you heal from Satoru’s too detailed reports.
What he didn’t expect was how soft and plush your lips would be, moving them against his, your tongue gliding against his, the soft whimpers and groans you make as you pull your body in closer to his, staining his clothes with your blood.
Nanami gasps, eyes wide staring at you through his glasses, when you move a hand to his hair, gripping as tight as you’re able before pulling away.
Tumblr media
Satoru arrives within a few minutes of hanging up the phone with Nanami, witnessing a sight he wasn’t expecting.
First, the curse is still alive crawling in your direction. It looks over at him and shrieks before trying to scramble back into the hole it just appeared from. In no mood to play, Satoru sends a wave of his cursed energy at it, easily ripping it to shreds, hearing its wails as it burns and dissipates into nothingness.
Your clothes are tattered, ripped and bloodied, but your lips are also latched to Nanami’s while his large hands are cemented on your hips, gripping at your waist.
Not even trying to move you away.
Satoru feathers his jaw as he watches you pull away, draining Nanami in the process, the familiar trail of energy leaving Nanami’s body and entering your own. Which Satoru had been on the receiving end of for months.
He’s all too familiar with this, as he stands off to the side, watching you kiss another one of his friends, use your abilities on another person he’s close to. Neither of you move away as your lips slot together so easily once again.
Almost as if this isn’t the first time.
And you don’t stop with Satoru’s arrival. As far as the two of you seem to be concerned, he might as well not be standing there watching what’s happening at the moment.
Satoru watches intently, eyes flickering over you and Nanami as quickly as he possibly can. You still have scraps, bruises, open wounds littering your body despite the amount you're siphoning - whatever happened, your internal wounds must be extensive if it’s taking this long for you to heal.
Nanami on the other hand looks more and more tired by the second, slouching into your touch as you continue to pull from him - too much, Satoru determines. You’re taking too much and he knew this would happen eventually, tried to tell you, but you wouldn’t listen.
Satoru’s by your side in a matter of seconds, grabbing your hand from Nanami’s shirt and gently loosening your grip. Once he’s successfully wrestled your hand from Nanami’s blonde locks, Satoru pulls you into his chest.
Nanami stumbles backwards with a few jagged coughs, breathing deeply several times trying to catch his breath as he rests his hands on his knees.
“Just worry about her.” Nanami rasps before collapsing to the ground in exhaustion, “I’ll get to Shoko soon.”
Satoru’s eyes flicker over your face, you’re really in no state to try and heal yourself, even if he were to take Nanami’s place, it could be detrimental to him as well, since this is uncharted territory, even for you.
Your brows furrow, eyes adjust and try to refocus but it’s no use, like you want to say something to Satoru, but instead, your eyes roll to the back of your head before collapsing into his arms.

Chapter Summary: Although the memories haunted you, you’re more or less grateful that you see a familiar face again amidst the turmoil. Meanwhile, Satoru comes to a painful conclusion regarding what his place is in your life.
Tumblr media
sometime in 2008
“You’re very pretty.”
Usually when people would say that to you, an automatic response would be to courteously smile their way despite the underlying tones of sexualization that came along with it. Growing up, hearing those words were nothing but a nuisance yet this time, there was something so innocent and bright about the compliment that when you look up to try and discern the person who had professed those words, you’re greeted by a pair of deep-set obsidian eyes, one that seemed to be filled with childish curiosity, “Thank you.” this time, your reaction comes out more genuine and unfeigned.
The boy seemed to be just around your age with silky black hair and a cherubic expression that fitted his facial features. One you’ll probably take note of and remember, for such features were unique and impossible to see in a world like this.
When you express your sincere thanks, his grin turns even bigger, “You’re very welcome! I was just seeing you sitting alone here and I was wondering why you weren’t with other students in the game!” the boy points out.
“Ah,” you chuckled, “It’s kind of complicated...They really don’t want me to get hurt…”
The raven-haired boy tilts his head at your response, “Well, I might accompany you. Kento told me not to join this year for the goodwill since I got stabbed pretty bad.” he gloated, crossing his arms, clearly dismayed at his current predicament.
“Sounds like this Kento is a very good and caring friend.”
“The best! He’s not as outgoing at Geto-senpai and Gojo-senpai but he’s the nicest! Always looking out for the smaller guys.” he grins when he hears you complimenting his best friend, continuing to babble on yet you don’t seem to mind hearing the praises that this boy has towards this ‘Kento’, “I’m Haibara by the way, Yu Haibara… but you can call me Yu, I have a feeling we will be seeing each other a lot in the next few days!”
“Yu…” his name rolls off your lips pretty smoothly like melted butter, “Nice to meet you, I’m Y/N...Y/N L/N…”
Yu Haibara was a rather bright individual, unlike you who paraded with false kindness and saw the world as a pandemonium, he was someone who looked at the world from a kaleidoscopic point of view. A unique perspective of this god-forsaken world that only delves in a lot of agony and suffering. The hour-long conversation was one of the best you’ve ever had with a stranger, you talk to him about the flowers that you grew in your home and the books you’ve read in your past time while he talks about his missions and foods that he’s able to eat in each city he visits. He had made you actually laugh and bear forth genuine emotions that made you wish to talk to him more in that moment.
There's a small inkling of hope that starts inside of you, one wherein you wished that you’d encounter more people like him.
“Yu!” someone calls out to him, voice deep and raspy as if he had smoked a few sticks once every few days. You look right to find a tall and lean blonde man, hair swept to the side with his gaze narrowed just as he walks towards the both of you. His brows are scrunched together in what seemed to be dismay, unlike his best friend, this man radiated the opposite energy. He looked anything but friendly, “What are you doing?” rather than asking you directly, he seemed as if he was scolding your new found friend like a mother hen.
“Ah, Y/N!” If his grin couldn’t turn even bigger, the sudden presence of the man sparked an even brighter aura around him, “This is Kento! The one I was talking to you about.”
“Hello,” You revert back to your usual demeanor at the sight of the new stranger, “I’m Y/N, Y/N L/N.”
Kento, unlike Yu, is stoic yet he does a brief bow as a sign of respect, “I’ve heard of you. Kyoto, right?”
“Yes.” you stiffly replied, the man's hostility towards you is clearly evident off the bat.
“I hope he didn’t disturb you-” he tries to reason out, clear that he wanted you anywhere but near Yu Haibara.
“Oh, he didn’t...he was very entertaining to talk to.”
“I told her about our recent mission in Sendai City!” The young man grins, recounting his story to his friend about your conversation, “She seemed amazed by it too! You should totally come with us one day, Y/N. We’ll bring you there with us! Kento and I are actually pretty strong!”
You fondly gaze as you hear the boy's beautiful and innocent crafted words. The excitement and rather ingenious attitude was something you envied for it was something amazing to see as you’ve only been exposed to negative milieus’ growing up.
Yu Haibara reminded you of heroes you’ve read in novels,  ones who didn’t think twice but carried on despite the severity faced in front of them.
“I don’t think she’s allowed to come with us on missions, Yu or anywhere with us for that matter.” Nanami Kento pipes in, continuing to bore his copper-rustic eyes at you in a cautionary and disapproving manner, shoulders seemingly tense and clearly overstrung by his friend’s endless spirit of inquiry towards you. It’s a very obvious and known reaction that you’d elicit. It seemed that his friend must’ve known who you were.
“Why not?” His response makes Kento lick his dry lips as if he was restraining himself to say anything more in front of you. This makes you smile instead and shift your gaze to Yu.
“My family is just very protective, Yu.” you try to alleviate the awkward air formed between you three, trying to smooth out the invisible wrinkles in your uniform as if you were just fine. You didn’t want to stay any longer since you knew you brought some discomfort in the conversation. Boys around your age were either very bold to approach you or hesitant because of your standing in the bride market and how protective your family was of you.
It seemed like Yu was unaware of this, he must’ve grown up far away from the world of jujutsu, “I’ll be going ahead now, if you’d like I can help patch you up tomorrow so you can join the second day of the goodwill event. It’s the least I can do for providing me with some very enjoyable company.”
“Ah!” Yu pouts, turning to his blonde friend, turning comically stubborn because of his friend’s spiteful attitude towards you, “See what you did Kento, you scared her away! Stop scaring women away!”
Yet all you do is chuckle and wave goodbye. By the next day, you’re thinking that Yu would ask for your help or maybe even leave you be because you’re sure his friend had told him who you were but he ends up staying with you again and even forcing Kento to apologize to you for causing such uneasiness, “Well, I just feel like it’s kind of sad that you’d get left alone here.” He confessed right after his friend leaves, his brows scrunched together, “Kento was being mean too, I mean, you just looked too friendly to be left alone!”
He was affable and you wonder what made you this lucky to experience genuine kindness from a serendipitous meeting.
“Thanks, Yu.”
You try to discern him a bit more, wondering what he wanted and why he was doing all this despite the trouble but he remains relaxed next to you and unguarded, seemingly with no care about the future consequences, “What are you talking about? It’s nothing to be thankful for. It really sucks on your part.” he conferred, crinkling his nose in disgust as he judged the system out loud.
“Yeah,” You laughed out loud, agreeing with him, the honesty was something you could only bask upon, “It does.”
“When me and Kento get back to Sendai, we’ll be sure to buy you some Kikufuku mochi. The edamame and cream flavor is wonderful there.”
“You’ll send them all the way to Kyoto?” you blinked at the outlandish suggestion of the boy as if Kyoto and Tokyo were just next door neighbors and a few minutes away.
“Sure,” he grins, “I mean, we’re technically friends now right?”
A month past, you had indeed secretly received a rather bold but nonetheless cutely designed box containing Kikufuku mochi from Utahime, your senior, who said she had bumped into Yu and Kento on her way back from one of the districts. There's a postcard along with the words ‘see you soon!’
What small conversation you had with the boy and a promise of a random gift box, ends up igniting an unlikely friendship, with them coming by once every few weeks to your school in Kyoto.
Kento was annoyed at first that they have to travel this far and approach you secretly but Yu seemed more than ecstatic to see you along with a delicacy from their recent mission or at times, the same mochi from Sendai that you can’t get enough of because of how amazing it tasted. A small gesture that meant so much on your part since you were never allowed to indulge in these treats growing up.
“Aside from Sendai, where would you want us to take you, Y/N?” Yu suddenly asks out of the blue, this time, he brings you a piping hot bag of fast food since they didn’t find anything sweet or good in their last mission. The three of you are once again hiding in the fields, away from prying eyes.
This time, they were leaving for another mission with Geto Suguru and Gojo Satoru, something about a star plasma vessel being transported. Despite your plans to find out more about Satoru, your attention was more on Yu Haibara today. The young boy who had stolen your attention with his pure heart and earnestness.
“Anywhere sunny.” you take a bite of the greasy burger, the fat tasting quite funny but nevertheless good, “Far and sunny where there are no winters.”
“Hm, Indonesia would be good. Like Bali? I saw one on a pamphlet that said they have good beaches there.” Haibara retorted, turning to Kento, “How about you, Kento. Where do you think we should take, Y/N?”
Nanami Kento gradually warms up to you by the fourth meeting but it doesn’t stop the consistent wariness of these secret meetings that his friend wants to keep pulling off like he was Paris who had fallen for Helen in the Greek tragedy. A story that did not bode him any good favor in the end, “Malaysia.” he mutters, taking a bite of his fry, humoring his friend with a response, “Malaysia is beautiful.”
“Oh,” Haibara’s eyes double in size, “That’s right. You always said you wanted to go there!”
Time had always seemed to stop whenever you were with them, the youth that you envied and craved for as a child was now being given to you on a silver platter  and it felt like something that came out of a manifested dream. One that you wanted to stay into and never wake up.
Yet it doesn’t stop the lingering feeling of apprehension, the chances of marrying Gojo Satoru was still very bleak for you and you don’t know how to force upon your engagement with him. The abrupt thought of never seeing Yu Haibara and the feeling that this will only be a memory in the future is something you dread.
These secret meetings continue to push forward but it doesn’t escape the eye of one of your guardians, the principal, who had suddenly called you in one day with an interesting query as to why there were sudden visits from kids in the Tokyo branch.
“They’re bold.” the older man points out, making you bite your tongue to hold yourself back from retaliating, “They should know that such filthy things aren’t to touch someone like you.”
“They’re not here for me.” You lie easily through a forced smile, “You know I’m not allowed to eat the things that they bring and talk too much to boys.”
“That’s right.” Gakuganji pondered, his gaze slowly drifting down on the tea you had prepared for him, “You’re meant for one man only, Y/N. Indulging yourself with boys like that too much...they bring you no good…”
“I know.” you affirmed, balling your fists and continuing on with a tight smile. The thought of not seeing Yu Haibara leaves a strained feeling on your chest, one that probably won’t ever go away.
A few months push on, you remain selfish and persist to see them despite the light warning. The raven-haired boy continues to swear to you that he and his partner will take you to Sendai soon and attend the Tanabata festival there     something that Yu had described as very pretty and exhilarating      along with actually eating other fresh goods and despite it continuously being impossible on your part. He even further proclaims that right after Sendai, he’ll take you to the beach that they went to during one of their missions. Apparently it was sunny and scorching there but the sand beneath your feet would be wonderful to experience along with the salty waters that washed over.
You continue to not say anything out loud for it’s a wonderful fantasy that deep inside your heart, you wish to come true.
You stare down at your hands, red marks from clenching them too much these days from holding back your tongue from those teachers who try to teach you how things are supposed to be and how you were going to fare around your future husband, “Y/N?” Haibara suddenly calls out.
It’s only the both of you this time, apparently Kento needed to go home to visit his grandfather at Denmark.
“You alright?” the boy’s mildly curious tone shifts to your hands, “What happened to those?”
“Bad habits.” You honestly admitted, covering them once again, “I like to clench them a lot when the teacher’s say something preposterous.” you continued, covering it off as a bad joke but Haibara has something else in mind when he sees those marks.
“Maybe you should just punch them in the face.” He suggested, gesturing a rather comical skit in front of you, his tone is laced with confidence and utter seriousness making you laugh out loud.
“They’d scold me right after, Yu.” you said amidst your joyous laugh, “But I’ll be sure to take your advice.”
“Good,” he nods, raising his thumb, “But give me a few minutes, Y/N. I’ll be right back.” your brows furrowed together as you quizzically nod at his out of character response. He runs back and leaves you alone with the freshly baked cookies he got for you from the nearby bakery.
It only takes around ten minutes for him to come back with a white plastic, your mouth twists  to a lopsided grin, confused at his sudden disappearance and why he was rather out of breath, “What’s this for?” He takes a seat across from you under the shade of the tree.
“I got something for you.” he takes out a small cream and a stress ball from the white plastic bag as your lips part in admiration, “For your hand…”
“They get destroyed pretty easily but at least your nails won’t hurt you anymore…” he grins, holding out his palm to treat your red marks.
His rough fingertips against your soft warm ones is ticklish and it makes you let out a small giggle, “That tickles, Yu.” you look up, eyes on his bright and sparkling ones that don’t seem to ever lose their youth despite the things he’s probably seen when he’s been through those missions.
It’s silent between you two for a moment.
“I…” the boy is speechless, your pretty features, soft gaze that don’t ever seem to waver, and your warm hand on his is enough to make his heart thump erratically and his head turn hazy, he clears his throat, “Well, what do you think?”
It wasn’t the right time to ask you that yet.
“It’s beautiful.” you softly retort, your warm hand leaving, making Yu pull his hand back in a tight fist when you look down at your hands with a saccharine-coated smile that he’ll never get tired of looking at, “You’re amazing, Yu.” you look up.
No, you are. He wanted to say.
Although Yu Haibara is sure that he’ll remain nothing but a distant memory to you in the future. He’ll remember each of these youthful ones and treasure them closely in his heart.
Whoever gets to see those smiles, experience that wonderful attitude, hear your gentle and kind words everyday would be a lucky man.
“Of course, I am.” he exclaims instead, pointing to himself and proudly puffing out his chest in a playful manner, “I’m your best friend.”
The seasons change and you find yourself amidst the company of your two good friends once again.
“He likes you…” You watch as Yu runs to the nearby comfort room, this was one of their many visits and you were both in your second years by this time. It had been a few months since the star plasma vessel incident and the whole world was in turmoil. You, on the other hand, may have not given up on your plan but the foreboding dread that you may not be successful with it is present since they were already starting preparations for meetings with your future marriage prospects. You had to come home every weekend, the lessons were becoming harsher since they hired a private tutor for your  bridal lessons thus seeing the pair was harder,  “...By a milestone, Y/N.”
“Oh.”
A small innocent crush.
It was unheard of on your part.
Lust, sex, and everything in between that. The idea of a small innocent love was not one you expected at all. It made your heart swell when you thought of it, that someone out there had given you something you thought you did not deserved. It may have seemed distant and not reciprocated yet but a part of you felt very happy that someone actually saw you in that light. You look down at the usual mochi’s that Yu would go out of his way to get for you, your eyes suddenly covered in a dismal haze.
“He knows he has no chance, though but he tells me that he really wants to help you out.”
You feel your heart crack a bit at Kento’s confession about his friend, “That’s...” you muttered, “Very sweet of him…”
“We’ll be going on another mission soon.” he sighs, running his hand through his hair, shaking it just a bit simultaneously as he places one hand on his hip, “He’ll probably try to coax you into running away right after.”
“He knows he can’t do that, right?” You feel your heart mildly crack when you state the reality of your situation.
“Yu is kind, too kind and he always wants to help people out because he believes he can.” Nanami sighs, his forehead creasing at the sudden deep thoughts of his best friend, “I assume you’re going to reject him?”
“Of course…” you agreed, you know the consequences and you never wanted Yu to ever receive that. He was an angel in the world of devils, the only pure and untainted soul you’ve met and you wanted to keep it that way. Your greed and overflowing hunger ambition to live was something Yu didn’t deserve,  “Of course…” you repeated.
Yet Yu Haibara isn’t able to ask you that question himself.
For the next time you hear about him, it’s Nanami Kento visiting you alone with that familiar designed box of Kikufuku mochis along with a few injuries littering his body. A part of you feels bilious when you see his swollen expression and more quiet demeanour, what contrasted Yu’s bright persona was simply now just a broken and empty shell of a man.
Death wasn’t kind.
Death is always cruel and one that follows you to the point of exhaustion.
It’s the hell bringer of dreams.
The enemy of life.
You feel your hand shaking as you hesitantly hold out your hand to take the box of your favorite mochi’s from him, “Is he sick?” you ask, not wanting to confirm your assumptions.
Nanami stuffs his hands in his pocket, the way he releases the next few words are as if he was carrying a heavy burden that needed to be released, “The mission was apparently for a grade 1. Yu and I weren’t fit for it.” He licks his dry lips, explaining it in simple terms as if he was tired of saying it again and again. He looks heavenward for a split second before he utters the next few words, “He’s gone, Y/N.”
Your grip on the box tightens when he says that, the unfamiliar feeling of sadness washing over you as you feel a lump stuck on your throat. Grief seemed different this time, unlike the death of your grandmother who you had quite the confusing relationship with growing up, the only thing you ever felt for Yu was total despondency and bleakness,  “Oh,” you shakily try to keep your composure, not wanting to break down in front of Nanami Kento,  “You didn’t have to come here, Kento.”
It’s silent for a moment between you two, the unsaid words are eating you up along with Kento’s eyes that are laced in anguish. A very small part of you just wanted to yell, cry out in complete vexation, and curse the gods above why they had to take someone like him away too early. A man who deserved to live much more and experience better things. A part of you also knew that the Gakuganji must’ve told your father about those meetings that he had caught wind of, it had their mark all over it, an accident     no, a warning.
Stupid selfish girl you should’ve known better than to distance yourself from him.
Maybe they wouldn’t have sent him and Kento there.
Maybe Yu Haibara would’ve still been alive.
“I’m quitting, Y/N.” he confessed, his voice hollow, “That’s why I came here.”
“To say goodbye?”
There's another wave of silence between you two, the air of melancholy and low spirits surrounding you both as Kento adjusts his stuffy collar, trying to breathe before he says the next few words.
“No,” he denied, staring at you dead in the eye when he confidently utters the next few words, “I’m here to ask you to come with me.”
“Kento.” your eyes widen at his sudden and startling proposal. The sound of the clouds rumbles just when the small droplets of rain start to fall to the ground as if it was mourning the loss of an angel, “You…”
The wind turns cooler as the rain starts pouring heavier.
“He promised to take you away to some place where there are no winters and the only thing you’ll experience is sun. We could go to someplace like Malaysia, Y/N. Maybe Bali even. You can have your garden there, read your books, forget about your life here.” he proposed, clenching his fists tightly when he recalled Yu Haibara’s foolishness and how he was doing the same thing since he couldn’t seem to turn away from you because of the time and companionship you three had shared.
“Kento…” You repeat his name, your grip on the box tightens.  The sound of going to Malaysia or Bali was beautiful, a far-fetched and a makeshift dream in your head that you wanted to run and blissfully experience but that was all it would ever be, a dream,  “You know I can’t come with you…We talked about this before...”
“I know.” He sighed heavily, the burden evident in his tone. The sound of rain can only be heard alongside his voice, “I just...As much… as much as I want to hate you for what happened. I can’t...because he thought of you a lot until the end, Y/N… If I can at least get you out of this situation-”
“You’ll be killed.” you finish his sentence for him, trying to maintain yourself and splashing him with the cold reality of his consequences. He should know better than to offer this to you. You feel your mouth twist to a lopsided and sad smile, trying to stay strong on the spot. You’ll miss them, you’ll miss the kindness and warmth they provided you when you felt no one was by your side in this world.
And although you wanted to get out, leave this life, and be your usual tactless self, you couldn’t keep forcing this idealistic dream anymore. You had to wake up and face the uncharted dread of your life.
In the end though, your grandmother was right. You were weak when you gave your heart out, “I can’t keep being selfish anymore. I’ll be alright Kento, I’ll be okay.”
“I see.” he remarked, looking at the box briefly, a memory that cements itself to the core, “I can’t force you then, Y/N.”
Hesitantly, you hold out one hand and place it on his upper arm, softly gripping it. It’s the only comfort you could give since you knew how much pain he probably was in, “Thank you for offering. I hope you’ll find only happiness now wherever you go.” you wished, The blonde man takes a hold of your wrist and squeezes it gently to give you some solace for the tears you both can’t even shed anymore.
After Yu’s death and when Nanami Kento leaves, you feel a small part of yourself disappearing. It may have been a good memory of your youth but it was still a heart-rending thing to remember. One that brought forth unbearable ache.
You never hear from Kento after that day either, aside from the usual strict measures that you weren’t allowed male visitors in your home along with your phone calls being closely monitored, He had probably dealt with so much pain that maybe even the thought of talking to you, someone his partner admired too much, brought unbearable woe on his part.
So you forget him and the youthful memory of Yu Haibara, only carrying a small fragment of broken promises and unsaid goodbyes.
Tumblr media
When people talk about long standing friendships and how time was one of its major deterrents, you would usually deny such factors for even if it had been years since you had last seen Nanami Kento, you can’t disregard the memories you three had shared and you wouldn’t even call your relationship any less. Even if he had chosen to actually hold onto his grudge that day. You couldn’t snub how he pushed forward and continued his proposal to help your current predicament despite it being seemingly impossible on his end.
In your eyes, Kento and Yu are probably one of the reasons why you weren’t as agitated with how the world had worked around you. They probably had been the reason why you believed that there was some sort of good out there for people like you to experience despite it seemingly looking bleak.
So when he’s right in front of you, you feel as if you’re sixteen again, hidden out of sight from Gakuganji and his prying eyes. You don’t even hesitate to hug him. For whenever your mind would loom back to the promises and dreams that they shared with you, a young girl who was stuck in what seemed to be like perdition on earth, you’d end up being in good spirits.
“You’re back.” you blurted out loud, letting go of him. Unlike before when you were teenagers, he seemed more muscular, taller, along with a few fine lines that seemed to compliment him well. The side-swept hair that Yu would usually tease about when you were younger was now replaced by a clean undercut. Albeit he maintained the straightlaced and quiet demeanour, he seemed wiser than the last time. Time had been truly kind to him.
“I had to see if you were doing alright first.” he handed you the box, his voice was smoother and warmer, like the freshly baked cookies they’d sneak in for you from that nearby bakery in Kyoto,  “It seemed right to give this to you when the last time I did, it wasn’t good news.”
You looked down at the box, tracing it’s familiar design before gazing upon his deceptively soft tan eyes, “You must’ve heard then?” you asked, your tone is clipped and rather inexplicable since you’re unsure of his reaction. After all, he was rather protective of his best friend and only wanted him to be happy back then so seeing you married with their senpai must’ve garnered a different reaction.
Yet Kento’s reaction is the opposite of what you’d expect. His lips curve to a small smile. There's only relief and appreciation for where you stood at this moment, that last conversation you both had shared was more so depressing and he was frankly overwrought with different scenarios playing in his mind after he had left you that day.
He places one hand on top of your head, an action that seemed to look like a brother giving his sister some well-wishes, “Yu would’ve been more than happy if he had heard that you ended up with Gojo-san. Even if it would hurt him, he probably wouldn’t hesitate to be one of the groomsmen in your wedding. When Shoko-san had told me the news I let out a sigh of relief, as well…” he paused, recalling Shoko Ieiri’s words when he had asked about your current status and how you were doing, “You were right, Y/N. It seemed like you’d be okay, after all.”
You let out a loud, boisterous laugh, “Yes, it...it worked out in my end, Kento. I...I’m very lucky that I ended up with Satoru out of all people…” it seemed like he remained worried for you during those years you were apart from each other and it made you extremely elated that he didn’t hold onto that resentment after all.
“He’s lucky to have you as well.” he places his hand down, “I’m truly glad it worked out for you in the end.”
There were probably twenty or so scenarios that ran through your head in the moment, one of them being if you had agreed upon his idea that day but seeing where you both stood now, alive and well, you were glad that you didn’t choose to follow the usual direction you’d take in.
For although the road ahead was weary during those seven years, everything seemed to have worked out for both of you in the end.
You tried to invite him for dinner right after but he had feverishly denied you, explaining that it wasn’t needed, “I had met with an elder after I got reinstated…” he shaked his head, shoulders sunken, “They still think I might take you away but seeing how things are now, I’m right to assume that you’re fine?”
You shake your head at his aphorism. There was a small hint of doubt as if he was telling you that if there was any problem, he still wouldn’t hesitate to go on with his proposition when you were both teenagers yet when the smile on your lips doesn’t even cease, he knows things are alright and he doesn’t need to worry at all, “I’m...I’m more than okay…” you confidently remarked.
Nanami Kento is more than happy when you reassured him again that you were completely fine and he was more than jovial to receive and accept another hug from you, “Thank you, Kento.” you mumbled, “I don’t think I could’ve made it this far if it weren’t for you both.”
It’s only later that night when Gojo Satoru comes home that he finds a small package on the table. His brow upturned as he took off his eyewear, moving the box to the side when he found it on display at the counter, “Whose this from?” He asked, the design looked rather audacious and appealing to the eyes.
You turn to him, a hand on your hip and a spatula on the other, “Oh,” he watches the way you easily smiled, “It’s from Kento.” you nonchalantly replied to your husband, your (e/c) eyes boring on his without a least bit of consternation, “He came by a while ago.” you added before returning to the stove and flipping the meat to the side.
The only sound in the air is the sizzling of meat and your soft humming. He, on the other hand, remained still for a moment. Eyes never leaving the box or better yet the fact that it contained something you had enjoyed eating. In the eyes of a stranger, it may perhaps seem like it came from a lover or something along the lines of that.
Your husband leans against the counter just as he starts picturing different scenarios of what went on a while ago while you remained completely indifferent about your recent revelation, “Kento?” he wryly repeated, finally breaking the silence. He had heard that Nanami Kento was back on field as a sorcerer and although he was aware of the rumors from Ieiri, why would he visit you immediately?
It’s the way you turn to him and look him in the eye along with the way that your affable smile easily decorates your features as if Nanami Kento out of all people had been the reason behind it.
“Yeah,” you repeated, “Nanami Kento. I’m sure you know him.” maybe it’s the way that your attitude took a three hundred sixty degree turn when you mentioned him, something Satoru had never experienced first hand when you talked about the opposite sex, heck, most of the times you remained impassive around him as if you were still hesitant to act around him.
Yet the problem seemed to have lied with your current stance or tender heart towards Nanami and how you didn’t even put an effort to conceal it. There was just that unfamiliar hankering attitude that seemed to only have surfaced now when he was with you, that slimy little green monster that only seems to want those warm and fond looks directed to him only. It’s one that he didn’t know he could experience towards an individual.
Of course, Megumi was a whole new different subject but this was Nanami. Someone who knew you first, someone who you had an apparent past with.
“Oh,” he chews the inside of his cheek, nodding, pretending that it wasn’t poking on his nerves, “Right, I know Nanami Kento.” his tone came out rather bitter and gruff that your attention returns to your husband. Expression contorting to an extremely quizzical one at his anomalous attitude.
You lowered the fire and placed a lid on top of the frying pan, walking closer to him, “What’s wrong?” you inquired. The abrupt switch of character was something you had to take note of. For the past months or so, Satoru has been nothing but a decent companion, making you feel comfortable and safe     well, at least, in your perspective that is.
“Nothing.” he coolly replied,  “Just find it funny that he had other friends.”
There was something so out of place with the sudden childish jab. You recalled that he and Kento weren’t on bad terms, at least from your memory that is. Although the blonde man had confided to you and Yu about how much of a pain in the neck your husband was back when you were younger, it wasn’t so much to make them on opposite ends of the spectrum. Satoru respected him for his technique and his power, it also earned him a good spot on the small list of your husband’s good ‘acquaintance’ list back then, “Do you have a problem with Kento?” you ask, tilting your head to the side, arms crossed and lips set in a hard line, wanting to hear the reason as to why he was starting to act like a man-child.
“No,” he shakes his head fervently, lips twisting to a forced smile, “Of course not, why would I have a problem with Kento?”
It had probably been the Monday blues or the neverending paperwork that had gotten in over his head like a buzzing fly. Still, it’s quite bizarre how easy it would be for him to end up with that utterance since you knew your husband wasn’t so easily neurotic by those things. In the end, you chose to ignore such comebacks. If he had a problem, he could outwardly communicate it with you like a proper adult, “That’s good,” you raise one hand and give his arm a gentle squeeze before returning to the stovetop, “It’s nice to see you don’t dislike him. I’m planning on inviting him for dinner soon anyways.”
Satoru’s eyes double in size at your statement, eyes never leaving your figure, “Dinner?”
“Well,” you continue on with your cooking, turning a deaf ear to his tone, “It’s no problem for you as you stated, right? We’re all good friends. I haven’t seen him for years.”
Satoru parts his lips for a moment, licking his dry lips and poking his tongue to the side of his cheek, “Right, years.” he quips, repeating your words. He ponders if he should just bring up the matter because what’s wrong with being a little curious? He’s the husband, he could ask about those sorts of stuff, right? But then again, he shouldn’t be bothered by it. At the end of the day, it’s not exactly his business if you and Kento had some past love affair or something along the lines of that.
He shouldn’t even be perturbed because it’s not like he had anything past this weird friendship that you guys had sort of form for these past few months, right? You were simply just married on paper, anything beyond that shouldn’t be his concern.
“You’re acting strange, Satoru.” You blatantly point out, his gibe remarks finally getting under your skin. You turn off the stove and wipe your hands on the towelette before tossing it to the side, “Is work, alright?” you finally inquire.
“Perfectly fine,” the shaman feels as if he’s being smothered by a pillow, his words tumbling out in choked-up confidence. He should probably direct his words to Nanami instead. Maybe he could drop a hint or two about how unmanly of him it was to just send someone’s wife a box that looked like a gift from a lover, “I think I might skip dinner tonight, Y/N.”
“Oh…” your brows furrowed together, looking down at the dish you prepared for him especially since you knew he came from a meeting with an elder earlier today and you wanted to make him feel a bit better, “...Are you sure?”
“Yeah.” he nods, snatching the blindfold off the table and walking towards the stairs, “Bad appetite, something must’ve spoiled it.” he says through clenched teeth.
“Oh, then would you like me to-”
Before you could finish your sentence though, he’s already trudging his way up the stairs, not even bothering to listen to you or your suggestion. You tilt your head to the side and turn towards the meal you prepared for him, “That’s odd.” you muttered to yourself, “Maybe the meeting had gone bad?” you might as well pack some leftovers for him for tomorrow.
By the next morning though, the bed next to you is cold as if your partner had woken up earlier which was certainly perplexing because for one; Satoru had always stayed in a bit later unlike before and would actually join you for breakfast. He had also been odd the whole entire time last night since he had his back on you when usually he’d be the one to initiate contact.
You place your hand on his side of the bed, wondering just what the hell was going on with your husband and why he had suddenly been acting up like this. You might as well call Kento for a good hearty lunch alongside some afternoon tea, you couldn’t really wait to show him what you’ve been planting since you remembered that he seemed quite interested in botany -- Yu was just happy to be part of the conversation, something you found very adorable --- back when you were students.
Tumblr media
Satoru rubs the nape of his neck in sheer frustration as he stares at the mangled body of the grade one curse in front of him, it’s blood staining a part of his clothes as well because he wanted to get a little physical today.
The thought is still constantly probing on his head like an open ended book, one that he couldn’t figure out, what made it even more vexing was the way you were so nonchalant about it as if what you and ‘Kento’ were doing was a normal thing.
“Very subtle of you...” he muttered to himself, turning away from the dead curse. A part of him wanted to go overtime since it was a friday night anyways and he didn’t want you to see him in this state. He’s pretty sure that he’s left you puzzled because of how he acted last night and this morning and he doesn’t want anything horrid to escape his tongue if you ever brought up ‘Kento’s’ name again.
He ends up in front of the school yard, ready to head into Ieiri’s office but he stops in his tracks to find none other than the problematic man himself, Nanami Kento, standing there. His lips pressed to a thin line when he found the tall blonde man staring at his phone as if he was texting someone important and it took a lot of guts for Satoru to not just march up there and seize it from his fingers to check if you had given him your phone number.
“Gojo-san?” Nanami Kento has always been unsettlingly calm and collected since he had first met him back when he was a freshman, the abrupt decision of leaving the world of jujutsu sorcery had been a decision that Satoru hadn’t expected as well because he didn’t think that the death of his partner would affect him to that certain degree.
“Nanamin…” he tries to poke out a smile, “Aren’t you looking fine and dandy?” it comes off as a bit too cheery for his tastes but he has to maintain his cool. He won’t be able to get some answers out if he’d start yelling at his kohai’s face.
“So I've been told.”
“I saw what you gave my wife yesterday…” he tries to prod, “That’s very nice of you…”
Kento’s eyes narrowed at his retort, not exactly sure what he should reply to Gojo Satoru. You had simply told him yesterday how lucky you were regarding the whole arrangement, did that mean that you had fallen for each other? Or was it simply just mutual respect?
He’d be quite happy if you had found someone you cherished, you had truly deserved to receive such things after what you had gone through those years. Although it was truly a shame that you and Haibara hadn’t ended up together in his eyes, he was sure that with more time and if you had more free will, you probably would have ended up with him. He’s even more sure that if his friend had made it out alive and had asked you the question of running away together himself, face to face --rather than Kento outing him before that dreadful mission-- you wouldn’t hesitate to have said yes straight-away despite it sounding absurd. You were just as reckless as Yu Haibara when the situation called for it.
It was a very deep bond of friendship that would’ve turned out to be lovers if fate hadn’t gotten in the way.
Yet he’s more or less happy that through this engagement, you ended up with a more or less suitable man. Although Gojo Satoru may have some sort of individuality complex, he knew his boundaries and respected them. Something Kento found favorable if you had to choose an arranged partner.
“I did,” Kento agreed instead, “I had to see Y/N and congratulate her. It seemed proper as a friend.”
“Congratulate?”
“Because she married you.” Kento simply retorted as if he was stating the obvious reason, “Weren’t her prospects horrible before? I was quite worried she’d end up with the man who was old enough to be her father.”
There's stifling silence in the air for a brief moment as Satoru takes in his words. There is no hint of love or longing in the blonde man’s tone. Although Nanami did sound like he had cared, it came out more like a sibling judging his younger one’s choices but how come the uneasy feeling won’t seem to go away?
Satoru stuffs his hands in his pockets, continuing to stare at the man with narrowed eyes behind his blindfold, “She seemed to talk rather fondly of you.” He tried to pry, finding the right words to say to get rid of that detesting feeling. It felt like he had an itch that he wanted to be relieved of but despite the repeated scratching to the point of it bleeding, it was still there.
“I hope she did.” Kento's voice turned quite distant, recalling that far off memory of you under that rainy day. It was technically true that he wanted to hate you, probably even curse and call you out for being a selfish bitch who couldn’t leave his friend alone but in the end, he didn’t have the heart to do that because Yu Haibara probably wouldn’t have stopped seeing you despite the repercussions and knowing his end, “She and I weren’t exactly on good terms when I left her.”
Satoru’s lips press to a thin line, he wonders what that entailed and as he’s about to ask more, Kento looks down on his phone, “Your wife invited me for lunch this Saturday. I guess we’ll be seeing each other more.” he raises the device.
“You don’t…” the white-haired shaman suddenly paused, unsure how to word it, “...The box...it’s kind of a weird design…”
Kento’s brow raised at the sudden question, had you not told him about what had happened before? Well, it’s clearly not his place to tell the whole story, “Yu would usually bring the same package before, I thought it would be nostalgic to just do that as well.” he simply divulged, “But it’s not something you should concern yourself with, we were all just friends.” he quickly assures the older fellow, not wanting it to be the cause of any rift.
The tall shaman is left alone with more tangled thoughts because despite his kohai’s words, he feels more sick in the stomach.
When Satoru comes home later that night, in a much later hour, mind you, he finds a Tupperware with a sticky note of, ‘Didn’t know if you had dinner, here you go.’ on the table. The words of Nanami Kento from earlier had continued to overwhelm him like a tsunami wave about to hit a city without a warning.
He leans on the counter top for a second and gulps down his surroundings, the aesthetically pleasing garden from the window to the large picture frame of the both of you in Sendai, the beautiful smile decorating your features.
He shuts his eyes tight for a brief second, trying to cancel out his uncharacteristic thoughts.
Most times, he’d like to think that the worst place he could ever be in was the darkness and silence. It only meant thinking and being in his own head, alone.
Gojo Satoru hated these moments. It probably had started after Geto Suguru had decided to just leave him without so much of a warning     a man he had more or less likely considered family and his only close confidant when he had grown up alone all those years in the large estate. It usually was thoughts that tended to be a lot of what-if situations and scenarios of things he didn’t want to think about.
It usually leads him to hold back things he wanted to ask because he doesn’t want everything to go back to square one.
“Ah,” he mumbled, looking down at his feet, “So this is what it feels like…” he paused, “...it’s fucking horrible…”
Gojo Satoru never feared a lot of things but the idea of losing you, even if you were just looking the other way from him makes him grow numb.
He slowly makes his way to your shared bedroom, you’re sound asleep and hugging his pillow as your soft breathing is the only thing he hears but his mind still won’t shut up. A part of him just wants to hold you tightly because he knows whatever thing is growing on his chest won’t be reciprocated and he can’t ever force you to look at him the same way.
The realization of him being a man who apparently had everything at that moment seemed like a broken mirage because of the abrupt realization that he could probably never have you in his arms.
Tumblr media
You probably should have just canceled lunch with Kento as soon as you had woken up. Not only was Satoru still in a horrible mood but he seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but his own home that day. It’s quite disheartening to even see your husband like this because you had actually thought that your relationship had turned out for the better following that time you both had spent.
After having a rather quiet breakfast, he says that he won’t be with you for the luncheon with Kento, saying something about how he had work and Yuuji training to do before he hands him over to your friend for some personal training soon so you end up staring at the wagyu beef in front of you, brows furrowed as you clench on the oven mitts tightly.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Kento had come in a bit earlier than intended and brought some housewarming gift to compliment the place     a pretty vase that you’re sure you could use for some decoration.
“What makes you think I have any?” you stated, taking the mitts and placing it on the side.
“Back when we were teenagers you used to hold onto things a bit too tightly.” he outwardly pointed out, “Yu bought you a stress ball for that, I recalled.”
You licked your dry lips and let out a long sigh, “He did.” you paused, you recalled your teacher throwing it out when she found it hidden and saying how tacky it looked, you were this close to throwing her out of your living room after she had done that, “He was something else, wasn’t he?”
Your mind looms back to those onyx-colored eyes that would only look at you with friendliness and gaiety, innocent cherubic features that one would never forget, and that funny bowl cut that you’d often laugh but playfully braid when it got too long, “I think your husband is jealous of him.” Kento finally utters, picking out the invisible lint on his pants. There is silence looming between the both of you as he states something absurd.
There's a chuckle escaping your lips as he states that.
“Don’t be stupid. He doesn’t even know Yu and I were good friends..”
“He does now…” your gaze narrows at his words, he must’ve accidentally had told him, “Also I’m not the one who remains oblivious to a man’s feelings.” he retaliates, raising his brow at your impervious attitude that still seems to be something you brought with you since you were a teenager, “Are you truly unaware of that?” he continued, taking a sip of his cold iced tea as his tawny gaze doesn’t leave you for a second.
It was probably the same as that time before, how despite it was painstakingly obvious that Yu Haibara had held strong emotions for you, you brushed it off, thinking it was impossible for a man like him to love you, only when Kento had openly pointed it out and stated the obvious did you realize it clearly.
He was doing the same thing now.
“How many times do I have to tell everyone that it’s not that way?”
“Probably because everyone has it figured out except you both.” He smoothly retaliates, “Then again, he probably has now but it would be nice for you to freely fall in love. It’s what you deserve.”
The small ding of the oven snaps you back to the realisms of the situation, the words of Kento cementing itself in your head and drilled into you like the lessons that they’d teach you as a child. It seemed quite absurd to even think about it, honestly. You weren’t the type of woman that Satoru would be entranced with, more or less fall for.
It didn’t seem right, it didn’t even add up. You? Fall for a man who was too good for you? You weren’t that shameless to do so.
You grab the mitts and take the Matcha swiss roll out of the oven, the sweet scent overpowering the smell of meat.
“I don’t think that sounds right.” you confessed, Satoru and you were like two parallel lines who’d never meet. The differences between attitudes were far too great and you’re likely sure that you’d need to save yourself from the heartbreak because if he had ever found out about those things that you did, you’re pretty sure he’d be conflicted and he’d leave and who else would be there to pick up everything but yourself?
“The mind tends to think of a lot of things.” he advised, calmly and placidly gazing upon you, not even faltering for a second like he always does, “But you’d surprise to see that in the end, it’s all just in there.” he motions and extends his index finger to point at his temple, “If you’re ready, you can always tell him how you truly feel. Gojo-san has lost someone dear to him before, I doubt he’d want to commit the same mistake when it comes to you again.”
“Always the wise one, are you, Kento?” You shake your head, trying to shift the touchy subject when you place the steak and vegetables in front of him and take a seat across from him.
“I just don’t want you to regret anything in the end.” he mindfully remarks, knowing that emotion all too well, “You should be like Yu sometimes, take those risks.” he adds.
“I wish I could be just as fearless.” you laughed, the memory of the boy smiling upon you and giving you his world had been truly haunting to think about because in the end, the only thing you brought him was pain.
The day continues to push on. After having some afternoon tea with Kento    which was entirely fun since his rather dry comedy still hasn’t seemed to change alongside his witty one-liner remarks. The man had told you about what had happened when he worked under a shitty corporation and tells you about the absurd people he has met. You, on the other hand, had told him about what had happened after he had left and how Satoru was as a husband.
Kento is positive at that moment that you were truly in good hands by the way you had fondly exclaimed and told him how your married life has been nothing but an astonishing one, although you don’t mention Satoru’s sudden shift of attitude these past few days.
As your best friend is ready to leave, he stops in front of the photo frame that’s hanging, one of you and Satoru, “That’s a beautiful picture.” He takes it from the table, “It seems like you’re able to freely go and travel now as well…”
Your lips twist to a smile, “He took me to the Tanabata.”
Kento’s eyes turned slightly wide, “Did he?”
“Yu was right, it looked pretty.” you recalled the day had been simply magical when you were with your husband. It probably was also because you enjoyed Satoru’s company the whole time since he knew just the right things to say and do during that time. It would truly be something that
“He was supposed to take you there to confess…” Kento puts the photo frame down, turning to you, “Elaborate plan and all that.” he winks, recalling how the young raven-haired boy had confided in him of his wishes to just take you there so that he’d confess his feelings and even if he knew you’d reject him, he’d still take you around for a good time because he knew you deserved to experience such things in this life.
“Was he?” a new voice suddenly enters the conversation. Your attention turns to find your husband standing there, cerulean blue eyes calmly looking towards you and Nanami Kento. Satoru hadn’t exactly made his presence known when he found you two relishing on the memories of that picture.
Clearly, he had heard about the private conversation you two had shared.
“Oh, Satoru…” you try to smile, excited that he’s here earlier than the last few days but you remain on the spot when you detect the unchanged inscrutable and odd expression, “...I think you should go, Kento…” you whispered, tugging his sleeve, “I’ll walk you out…”  Kento was about to say something to ease out the situation but you give him a look instead, “I’ll handle it, come on…” you mumble, loud enough for only him to hear.
Your lips are pressed to a thin line when you take your friend out, Kento is mildly worried that he may or may not have started a dispute between the both of you but you assure him that you’ll solve such things quickly. There wasn’t anything to be mad about after all.
When you return inside, you find him pointedly gazing upon the photograph, there's silence lingering in the air at first and it’s one that you’re all too familiar with, usually when you’d have altercations with Satoru back then, it was the same thing but this time, instead of openly snide remarks, it’s different.
“Were you ever going to tell me about him?” Satoru breaks the silence, putting the frame down. The soft gaze is now replaced by an unsettlingly calm one as if a storm was brewing behind those azure blue eyes.
“There's nothing to talk-”
“Of course, there isn’t.” he laughs, one that’s filled with contempt and mild disdain, “That’s always the thing, isn’t it?”
Satoru feels his throat burning as he openly lets go of his words, the idea has been bothering him to the point where he can’t even look at you anymore. When he had heard Nanami talk about Haibara’s promise to you, he inwardly felt sick, “Who was he to you, Y/N?” he walked closer, “Am I just some cheap second rate replacement for your dead ex-boyfriend?” he spits out.
“Satoru.” you quickly try to calm him down, not wanting for him to get caught on with the wrong idea for there was never a time that you had compared him with your friend, “That’s not how it goes...There was nothing that went on between him and I that time…”
“Was there?” Satoru’s voice remains distant, “You know you can’t lie to me, Y/N. I saw that look when we were on that trip… the way you longingly gaze upon the crowds as if you were looking for someone else…” he bitterly snaps back, the memory of you staring off at a distance when you were at the festival and the time you had went there the first time was more than enough to trigger the painful emotion hidden deep beneath the cinders of his heart, “You were thinking of him the whole time.”
“Satoru.” you state his name, trying to snap him out of it, “You and I both know that I went there because it was something that I wanted to do, I went there and was happy with you-”
“Don’t give me that shit, Y/N.” he retaliates, eyes filled with jealousy at the notion that whatever you were doing right now to him was just you projecting your past feelings for a boy you could only selfishly pursued and in the end, couldn’t save.
He is second.
He’ll always be second.
No matter what he does, no matter if he gave you the world.
You’ll never have that same vehemence and it makes him hate himself for it for there was nothing ever truly more painful when he realizes that everything felt like a sick and twisted lie.
He suddenly lets out a low laugh, turning away, runs his hands through his hair roughly as his feet heavily distances himself from you, “Tell me, Y/N…” his voice is low, resentful, and broken because never in his life had he been slapped by the reality such as this, “If he was still alive and he had appeared on that door instead of Nanami Kento, asking you to run away, would you have said yes?”
Your knees feel weak and you feel some of the words stuck on your constricted throat. The way he doesn’t hesitate to throw that question out there makes your heart beat erratically, “Of course not.” you shakily reach out to your husband but his apathetic and feverish gaze makes the anxiety fill you to the bones that you pull it back.
“You would’ve left me.” he states, something that he should probably slowly accept as a normal thing in his life, “I can’t believe I’m falling hard for a woman who wouldn’t hesitate to leave me for another man.”
There's only silence with the sudden revelation is let out in the solitude of the room. His confession came out as if he was only deeply regretful about his feelings.
Your husband doesn’t know what else to say at that moment because all he feels is his heart being torn out of his body.

Do the gojo munchkins (saika and kouki) have good immunities (unlike their mama)?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kouki...
Has mild allergies to dogs and cats. Other than that, his immunity is pretty good. Something Satoru's quite proud of his son (he's considering building his poison immunity when he's a little older—prob in Kikufuku's teens).
Saika...
Ever rarely gets sick. And even if she gets a fever she gets better within the day. Y/n gets really scared though because her baby girl has quite a history of her birth but Cat is very healthy. (Satoru is kinda predicting her curse technique based on this.)
The 3rd Mochis (?)...
The only thing Satoru can tell is that they hate the tuna sandwich he makes for his wife. Like every time Y/n begs him to make it and 10 minutes after she's run to the toilet and his effort is rejected by his babies. (Yeah, tough love when your wifey craves it, but your babies are protesting) It's weird, and he's just gonna accept it until those kiddos come out.

Tumblr media
Satoru wants to meet your parents, and it was an interesting afternoon.
"Remember Hikaru-kun? Your childhood best friend. He came home for a short vacation. He's grown to be such a charming man." Your Mom happily chattered over the phone. "I was surprised to know he established his own company. Could you believe that? He's just 24 years old."
"He's always been a smart kid." You shrug, a blurry memory of this childhood friend you don't remember playing much with. Nonetheless, that's a great thing. Being successful at such a young age. "Send my regards to him Mom." You took a taste of the curry you're making
You heard your mother sigh.
"Someday, if you're gonna get a person to marry, I'd rather have you a normal man Y/n. You don't need to go after those rich men who have too much money to spend for a lifetime. A man with a job enough to feed you and finance a good life is enough."
"Mom!" You laughed at the sudden switch of her topic.
"What? It's true. Even your father agrees with me." You heard a grumble from the phone, probably your father being glared at by your mother to agree. "A man who can treat you right, and provide is more than enough. What would you do with the money if he cannot have time for you?"
"I know Mom." You turned the stove off and checked the rice cooker.
Great! Dinner is ready, all that's left is to wait for Satoru.
"You have to bring home the guy when you find one, okay? Your Dad and I are looking forward to it!"
"Sure." You helplessly smiled at her insistence. Your friends' parents would usually say the opposite. But your mother has a good point.
Bringing Satoru over... well, after that sudden remarks from your mother you're starting to doubt the resolution you built to have your boyfriend meet your parents. Satoru is quite the opposite of her aspiration of a guy for you. It would be unfair on Satoru's part if you ask him to act like a 'normal citizen'.
She said her goodbyes after one last reminder and that left you to sit and wait on the counter stool. It's still early, Satoru will be home in an hour or two. You look up from your phone and froze at the man leaning on the kitchen door frame.
Brooding eyes staring at you with his arms crossed. Uh-oh...
"Aren't you bringing me over?"
"'Toru, welcome home!" You easily brush off the surprise and jump off the kitchen stool, padding in his direction and throwing your arms around him for a hug. "You already showered." You inhaled the menthol scent of his shower gel accompanied by aftershave. The faint redness from shaving his jaws was still visible even as he just his lips down for a pout.
"When are you gonna take me to meet Mom and Dad?"
Mom and Dad? You look at him between laugh and frown.
"Soon." After I explain to them...
"Baby!" He whined, throwing his arms around you, pouting and huffing. "You're not proud of me huh?"
"That's not the reason 'Toru." You sighed, turning around to cup his cheeks.
"Is it because I'm not normal?" His shoulders visibly tensed, turning to hide his face in your neck, enveloping you in his tight hug.
"Silly, 'Toru." The last thing you need is to make him feel inadequate. You struggled to gather his face, his lower lip jutting down as he avoids your gaze. "Look, give me just few days, I promise I'm gonna take you to see them. No secrets this time. Okay?" Leaning forward you give the tip of his nose a small peck, hoping it would appease him.
You're sure your Mom and Dad would change their mind when they see Satoru and his intentions with you.
"Mnn, 'kay." He hummed, pulling you for another hug.
It's Saturday dusk. Your hand laced around Satoru's rough ones, a layer of his Infinity naturally clung to you against the busy Tokyo crowd. It's a normal occurrence for Satoru to have you in his weekend work also being your date time. And you're both now on your way to grab dinner before going he brings you home.
"I think there's a festival." Satoru draped his arm over your shoulder, pulling you closer to his side to protect you from the crowd colliding over your shoulders. "Do you want some cotton candy?"
"Just say that you want to eat some."
He laughed, pinching your cheeks. But nonetheless, you nod with a smile. Your boyfriend's sweet tooth rubbed on you over time.
"Which one do you want?" Satoru turned to you to choose from the different cotton candy colors.
"The blue on please."
Satoru paid for it while you peek at the nearby takoyaki stall.
"Y/n?"
Someone's calling you. You roam your head in the crowd.
"See I told you it's her. Y/n!"
You turned and saw your parents waving at you.
Fuck
"Don't run around like that Baby, I thought I lost you for a second. Mnn, what's wrong?"
Agh! Double fuck!
Here you are, twirling your straw on the iced tea with your parents looking at you and Satoru back and forth. It's certainly not the first time they met, Satoru already met them at your graduation but apart from asking if he could take you out, there was nothing more.
"So are you two..." Your mother trailed down, her eyes wandering to Satoru, with his hand holding yours, despite the thin sheet of sweat forming on his palm. "Are you two, dating?"
His shoulders visibly straightened, and the constant bobbing of his throat was as if he was having a hard time swallowing whatever it is stuck in his throat.
Your father grunted from the side. Raking a good look at Satoru who has switched his bandages to his sunglass. Clearly, your old man is not impressed.
"Yes, Ma'am."
You Mom made an 'oh' face and smiled. A smile that you don't trust.
"So... what's your job? Gojo-kun?"
And there it goes. You trust Satoru alright, but he does say random things out of the blue that jeopardizes the situation.
"I'm working as a teacher in a technical school in Tokyo."
An unlicensed one at that too. You bit your tongue. Squeezing his hand to give moral support to your man. He squeezes back, rubbing your knuckles with his thumb, assuring you in his small gesture.
Your Mom looks brighter. That fits in her 'normal' category of prospect for you.
"How about your family Gojo-kun? Are you an only child?"
"Ma, that's a sensitive question." You stop sipping your iced tea and frown.
But there are that soft circles, rubbing your knuckles, calling your attention to calm down. Satoru kept his gaze straight on your mother and answered.
"My family is a little wider than the usual family tree, and we have a small family business—"
What the fuck is small? Gojo Clan basically monopolized the big three sorcerer families. You resist the urge to roll your eyes at his fatass lie.
"—I have a sister. But she's studying as an exchange student so we don't see each other that much."
Your Mother nod, quite satisfied with her interview-like questions.
You glance at Satoru, his nervous look replaced with a relieved one. Your man looks like he just won the grand prize in the arcade. But it faded when your Dad cleared his throat, silencing everyone at the table.
"Mnn, which team are you?" He glared at Satoru who have gone pale once again.
"Sir?" ... Satoru's face has gone Pikachu.
"Team. Which team are you?"
"He means baseball." You supplied at his confused brain.
"Oh! Yomiuri Giants... Sir." He almost stuttered under the scrutinizing glare of your Dad. What if your Dad is a Hanshin Tiger's fan?! He will hate him!
"Come to the house tomorrow." Your father grunted and tug your Mom who was staring at you, making some hand signals she will call you later. Only when they left your vision did you let out a long sigh.
"Your Dad hates me." Satoru has never felt so dejected in his existence.
"I also don't know." You finally broke the poor man's last string of hope.
"He. Hates. Me?!"
"Stop shaking me!"
Thinking about it it's not like your Dad spat vitriol on Satoru. It's just that he also didn't look like he was convinced. Satoru has been silent since you went home. You've never seen him this bothered. Agitated, and restless. Sitting on the kitchen counter stool, he's been staring, absentmindedly at the wall.
"Get your ass over here." You rolled your eyes. "I made hot cocoa." That one didn't need much convincing.
Soon you're enveloped in his arms, a thick quilt covering the two of you while sipping some hot cocoa. His calloused fingertips, occasionally rub the back of your hand when you took too long before giving him a sip. A part of you is confident your parents would understand. Even if they knew the truth... that Satoru is not the conventional man they idealized for you, they'll still accept your decision.
Your heart has never been this peaceful even if he's a walking disaster.
"I want your parents to like me." Out of nowhere, he mumbled. A mumbling Satoru is a common thing when the two of you huddle on the couch.
"They'll do." You hummed and close your eyes, leaning your head back to his shoulders. "After all, I'm not planning on switching you for anyone anytime soon."
He huffs, making you smile knowing he's already pouting. Telling you he's up to talk about it more.
"I want them to like me for you." Satoru shrug. "Y'know, like treat me how they'd treat a son too."
"Why? You planning to be my adopted brother?" You quirk an amused brow and Satoru rolls his eyes. His thumb, drew circles over the back of your hand, resuming the cozy silence until you both finish the mug of cocoa and went to bed.
The next afternoon, you rang the doorbell of your parent's house.
"Oh! They're here. Come in, we've been waiting for you." Your Mother announced your arrival and your Father grumbles in the background.
You can't hide the budding smile on your lips when you see your father, brooding by the stove but he's cooking a special dish. Something your mother asked in the chat yesterday.
"You should stay for a sleepover, we're going home tomorrow." Your Mother smiled, especially in Satoru's direction. "The both of you."
But Satoru has to go to work. No man is available to fill in Satoru's place, much more there are not many people to ask that favor anyway.
"I could stay over but Satoru has work later afternoon."
A hand intertwined with yours squeezing it. Satoru intervened.
"If you'd have me, I'll stay Ma'am, Sir."
"Of course! Of course!"
Your Father quietly puts the bowl on the table and crosses his arms, staring at Satoru. Your poke his side, nudging a bowl to his side while you also get yours. Ladling for him and for you.
Satoru sat there, a little confused but a glint in his eyes sparkled as he brought the spoon to his mouth.
"How is it?" Your Father asked in a gruff tone.
You can't help but giggle. Your father can be a tsundere at times, even having your mother text you to ask what Satoru's favorite dish is.
"If Y/n doesn't cook this, your cooking would be the closest I've ever had to my childhood." A small smile bloomed on Satoru's lips, followed by a wide boyish grin.
Your Father cleared his throat, nodding his head, evading your knowing smirk. He's so easy to please.
"How long have you and Y/n met?"
The lunch started with the talk of how you and Satoru started. Your mother is the best at remembering your embarrassing moments as a kid but forgetting to brag about your formal achievements.
You could already see that little horns in Satoru's head to tease you when you get home.
"He's a good man." Your mother hummed, watching your father and Satoru play catch ball in the backyard, the two of them talking but you cannot hear it.
"Oh, you don't know what a menace he could be." You shook your head.
Your Father laughed with his hands by his waist and Satoru rolled on the grass clutching his stomach in a fit of laughter too.
"But yeah, he is."
Your mother smiled. It doesn't take long for you to get sleepy, with a full stomach and the relief that Satoru is getting along with your family, it was enough to lull you into a peaceful afternoon nap.
Satoru found you in that state—sleeping on the living room couch while your mother is reading some novel.
"She's asleep. You should go freshen up first."
"I didn't bring any shirt with me, Ma'am."
"I'll bring you a fresh set, and you're my daughter's boyfriend it's weird for you to keep calling me Ma'am and my husband Sir."
"Auntie then. Thank you."
It was only in the bath did it sink into him he's gonna spend the night together with your parents. It's like the sleepover he's never had!
Dressed in his fresh shirt and sweatpants, you're still sleeping and he can't see your Mom and Dad anywhere. You look cozy and vulnerable and it's making him sleepy too.
A little nap won't hurt...
Getting into the covers without disturbing you is easy, he's so used to it that he doesn't break a sweat in turning you over to cuddle into his chest.
Your Dad found the two of you in that position. Sleeping soundly, cuddling each other for warmth and neither of the two of you notices the soft weight of a blanket draping over you until you wake up at the scent of dinner.
"I'll see you next time. Don't forget to wear thicker clothes it's cold."
You hug her and said yes to the remaining reminders. Satoru also hug her, thanking her for the wonderful day off he had.
It was your father's turn.
"Take care Dad. Don't forget to say hi to grandaunt for me."
"I'll tell her. And visit home when you're on vacation." He rumbled, glancing in Satoru's direction. "Bring Satoru with you."
You nod, smiling ear to ear. The boarding announcement to the train rang out and they got in, waving the two of you one last goodbye.
"Bye Mom and Dad!"
Next thing you realize you're engulfed in a tight hug and Satoru's laughing.
"See I told you. They'd like you."
A wide grin is on his lips as you both walk out of the station, Satoru's arms draped over your shoulder.
"Hmmm, you gotta bring me home soon Baby." He whispered and bit your ear making you yelp and hit his chest
Pretty normal Satoru, cheeky and the ball of menace that he is.

Satoru's eyes shot wide awake feeling hasten scrambling off the bed, you run to the toilet followed by the sound of unpleasant regurgitation, desperately throwing up in your empty stomach.
Satoru drowsily trudges after you in hurry and reach for the towel, rubbing your back as you flush out the residues in the sink. Rinsing your mouth off the bitter bile and leaning your weight into your husband for strength.
"I'll go grab your crackers," Satoru felt his heart tighten when your temples creased. Burying your face into his bare chest as you feel your knees wobble from exhaustion. A sob escaped your pursed lips.
"Shhh, it's okay. I'll make you something light for breakfast. How about that?"
Clinging your arms around the back of Satoru's neck was more than enough to tell him what you need. Your husband slips his arm under your knees and swept you off your feet, feeling sad when you frown in your dazed state.
"I'll wake you up when breakfast is ready." Satoru carefully lay you on the bed and pull the covers up your shoulders. brushing the underside of your tired eyes with his forefinger and offering a small smile to cheer you up.
The door creaked open, followed by two heads peeking in.
"G'morning," you smiled at your 4-year-old daughter followed by your 9-year-old son softly closing the door and dragging their blankets and cinnamoroll plushie for a morning weekend cuddle.
"Morning Mama," Kouki climbs on the bed and smears your cheeks with clumsy morning kisses, hugging you so tight as he snuggles under the covers with you. Like any normal child would come seeking a mother's warmth, a smile stretch on his lips as you brush the fringe of his long hair falling over his face and press a kiss on the rosy cheeks of your firstborn.
"Mama, why are you pale?" Saika climb down Satoru's arms to join your other side. She lays her head on your arms and reach her small hands to pat your cheeks with curious eyes. Your daughter's lips pursed to a sad pout when you weakly smiled. "Is Mama sick m?"
You faintly chuckled at how easily she melted and cuddled close to you in her own way of assuring you with pats on your cheeks. Just like how you soothe her when she also feels under the weather.
If there's one thing the kids inherited from Satoru, it's the unconditional love they have for you. Unable to bear seeing you hurt or weak.
"Mama's fine sweetheart."
"Really?" She sized you up, crawling up to your face and clumsily kissed you.
"Really, really," you hummed giving her an adorable nose to nose and Saika giggled delightedly.
Satoru went down to make some light meal while the kids kept you company for a short nap before your husband came back to wake the three of you in a cuddle pile.
You couldn't help but pat Kouki's head as he carefully stack the fruits and vegetables on your plate.
"You have to eat to get better Mama," he prompted and held the forkful of apple over your lips. Innocent eyes looking at you hopefully when you tried to squirm from the peeled fruit. Saika pulled away the plate of pancakes and replaced them with the chicken broth Satoru reheated.
"Mama can eat just fine," you insisted but a frown immediately creased over your children's temples. As if you've offended their best sincerest efforts.
"That right you should eat more vegetables Honey, listen to the munchkins," Satoru tutted and begin transferring all the lettuce and tomatoes in his plate to yours. Grinning ear to ear Satoru lean in to kiss your pouting lips.
"Eat lots, I'll cook more for you." Satoru peck your lips for another smack before sitting back on his seat.
You shared a warm shower with Satoru. Taking your time to feel and pamper each other. Whilst your kids began to occupy your late morning asking for attention and affection after the whole week of being stuck at the school all day.
Gentle hands caress your still flat tummy as the three of you eat ice cream.
Kouki is the most gentle as he lay his head on your lap and press his ear against your belly. Saika alternates feeding you with the ice cream and then to herself.
"Mama, when is Sunshine coming?" Saika's attention deviated from the movie toward the peak of your tummy. "Is Sunshine sleeping?"
"Well, Sunshine." You chuckled at the nickname they come up after they saw your first ultrasound. Saika the first one to mention how your baby looks like a sunflower seed. "Sunshine is growing inside Mama so definitely it will take long for Sunshine to come out."
Kouki perked up from your lap.
"Mama got sooooo big when you were growing in Mama's be tummy, Cat."
"Mama's not!" Saika defended you.
A loud coughing echoed from the kitchen, Satoru cleared his throat to shake of the water that went down the wrong pipe. He forgot to teach his munchkins never to mention the "f" word on a pregnant woman.
"H-Honey..." He carefully peeked from the book only to see you laughing.
"That's normal, I have to eat or how else Mama's gonna feed the baby in my tummy? Did you know when I was pregnant with you—" you boop Kouki's nose. "—I always kept snacks on your Papa's pocket wherever we go. Coz Kouki inside Mama's tummy is always hungry," you teased making your son scrunch his nose.
You yawned a big one, and exhaled. Feeling so drowsy at the smooth patting and weights of your kids against you.
"Are you sleepy Mama?" Saika asked, seeing your eyelids starting to get heavy. "I'm gonna get pillows!" She hop off the couch and ran upstairs.
"I'm getting blankets." Kouki ran after his sister.
You sighed at their panicking. As much as you love your kids, they're too... How should you say it? Uhm, way ahead of their ages.
"Do you want water Mama?" Saika drag the pillow and threw it up on the couch. "I can get you a tumbler of orange juice too." Before she could do a beeline you held her scruff and brushed her cheeks affectionately.
"I got it Cat," Satoru came from the kitchen with a tray of food and your orange juice. "Where's Kikufuku?"
"I'm here Pa," Kouki dragged his blanket and gave it to you while he ran to Satoru's side. Crawling under his father's arms like he always does. A habit he never grew out of as Satoru never denied his Kikufuku all the coddling and love he could give them.
The movie went on and eventually, your father-daughter duo passed out, snoring slightly leaving you and Kouki to munch over some potato chips.
"Mama?"
"Hmmm?"
Kouki crawled to your lap. You could already see the hesitance in his eyes.
"Yes, Mochi?" You brush his long hair.
"Does it hurt?" He points to your tummy and stares at you. "You were always crying with Sai. Back at the villa."
Your son evaded his eyes as if he just spoke of something he shouldn't have. Kouki frowned at the images of you slumped at the sink, bawling out tears helplessly. Muttering for his Papa to come home. Sai is more than enough. He never wants to see you in pain, never wants to see you suffer when all you show him is love and care even in your weariness. The years never faded how sad he feels remembering you crying alone in the bathroom floor.
"Were you scared?" You mirrored your son's thoughts. "Mama had a hard time back then. But not anymore. Are you worried sweetheart?"
He nods. and slowly lay on top of you. Closing his eyes to feel the security your arms warp around him.
"When you feel sick, I'll get you lots of Kool Fever, Mama. When you want to cry I'll bring you tons of tissue to wipe your tears. When you're tired, you don't have to work." Kouki murmured.
"You will really, sweetheart?" You pressed a kiss on his temples, brushing his long fringes.
"Yes," Kouki mumbles as his eyelids also start to drop, and soon you also fell asleep in the small huddle the four of you created.
Satoru woke up with a heavy load on his chest. Drowsily popping his eyes open, he found his daughter laying on his torso while quietly braiding her older brother's long hair.
"Hey Cat," lazily calling his princess's attention and quit making her brother a barbie doll.
"Shhh, Mama and Kiku-nii are sleeping Papa," Saika shushed him shut.
"Yeah, how 'bout you make orange juice with me? Mama and Kikufuku onii-chan will be hungry when they wake up."
The little kit's face brightened at his suggestion and allowed herself to be carried in his father's arms towards the kitchen.
"Papa?" Saika helps squeeze the oranges while her Papa preheats the oven for the chicken stew he was making for dinner.
"Mnnn?"
Satoru knows you don't like the slimy chicken skin since your pregnancy started.
The nice smell of stir-fried vegetables preoccupied the little girl, after all, she is still an easily distracted four years old child.
"Yes, Cat?"
"Will Mama be okay?"
Satoru halted and look at his daughter before replying.
"Of course Princess, why'd you ask?"
Saika remembers visiting Sho-chan's clinic to tell her Mama has a baby. Sho-chan mentioned about her Mama having a hard time when she was pregnant with her.
"Mama's not gonna have a hard time?"
Satoru stop what he's doing and lean on the counter. An assuring smile made it to his lips.
"Mama's gonna have a hard time so can you and Kikufuku-nii help her and Sunshine when Papa's not around?"
Saika nods. You've always took care of her when she feels sick. Of course, Saika will also look after Mama because she loves you so much.
"What are you doing?" You padded into the kitchen.
"Mama! Look I made you orange juice." Saika turns around and gave you the half-full glass of freshly squeeze fruit.
"You're always so good in making foods with Mama. Are you gonna be a chef sweetie?" You gulp and shared it with your daughter.
"I'm gonna be a doctor like Sho-chan. I'm gonna take care of Mama, Papa and Kiku-nii."
"That's so sweet," you coo at the little girl beaming brightly. "When you visit Sho-chan you should ask her to train you as her assistant."
"Yeah!"
Kouki entered the nook and hopped to Satoru's side, asking for a taste of the chicken his father is cooking.
"Nice?"
"Yummy," Kouki nodded and ask for more before hopping down the stool and drink from the glass of juice.
"That's mine," Saika pouted at her brother who gulp down the last drip of the juice.
"You had my Yakult." Kouki shrug at his sister but eventually went to the fridge and gave her his share of ice cream.
You chuckled at the two cats sharing some ice cream while you sashayed to Satoru's back, slipping your arms from behind to hug his waist and press your plush body against his back.
"Chicken stew for the pretty lady." He opened his other arm and pull you to his side. His lips found your forehead like nature, givng you a sweet kiss while he rub your shoulders. Satoru's heart felt hot when you squeeze and snuggled yourself closer under his arms.
"I don't like carrots."
"I'll just skip it."
"Hmm, nah. Sunshine needs it." You giggled at the nickname.
"Yeah? Sunshine needs it." Satoru smirked and place the chicken in the sauce he made and baked it. "How's my gorgeous baby?" Satoru sat on the stool.
"Which Baby?" You pointed to yourself and your tummy.
"My first Baby, Mommy of my children, and my sweet pampered little wife~" Satoru hug you and hoist you up to sit on his lap. "Better?"
"Best," you purred and nuzzle your husband's throat. "Daddy..." You deviously moaned rousing something carnal in your husband's veins.
"Naughty, Baby?" he drawled biting your cheeks while his hands freely roam on your skin with shivering friction from his callous rough hands.
"Mama and Papa is kissing again," Kouki pouted.
"Where's our kisses?" Saika demanded.
"Go get from the fridge. There's Kisses there." Satoru wave off his munchkins and resume peppering your shoulders with cute kitten kisses while you sit on his lap.
The two of you watch the kids starting to make new batch of orange juice for dinner. Kouki squeeze the fruit while Saika held the pitcher still. It wasn't easy getting here, but you're home with Satoru and your kids who loved you so much just as much as you loved them.
You give the side pf his cheeks a quick peck before stealing a few more on his lips making the two of you giggle like teenagers in your first taste of love. It's just that this one isn't the adrenaline pump of first moments but something sweeter and soothing. The love nurtured and cared over the years that gave you these little bundles of growing joy everyday you wake together.
Satoru's hand found its way on your belly, languidly rubbing soothing circles on the little forming bump.
Can't wait for the few months to pass and finally meeting you Little Sunshine...

"What'cha doing?" He breathes, enclosing you for a hug, stroking your head as you bury your face against his chest.

The lights are off with only the warm kitchen light still turned on. It's one of those days when time seems to move slower, and the nights are longer. The kids are fast asleep and Satoru is working overnight, most probably he'll be back before 3 in the morning.
That leaves you in a comfortable silence as the pot boils along with the pasta while the knife slice through the fresh cherry tomatoes. Satoru often has to come home in the wee hours of the morning and eat his meal alone. You know just how much your husband loves to eat a warm meal and talk about his and your day before turning in for the night.
The clock ticks to 11 at the night, faintly you could hear the flying nocturnal birds hoot and the hushed buzzing of the AC. You move around to make a simple Napolitan with the chicken mushroom stew simmering on the other side of the stove.
You heard the front door softly open, followed by the shuffling of the shoe closet. Heavy footsteps drag until Satoru appeared in the kitchen nook, taking off the blindfold from his tired eyes.
"I'm home Baby." Strong and tired arms enclosed your waist, kneading your sides as Satoru muffled a greeting against your neck. His wide chest covered your back, and by chance, you could almost feel the thumping of his heart echoing on your skin. You could feel his exhaustion with how heavily he seemed to lean on you.
The stove turned off and you shift to face him, your cold hands reach for Satoru's hips and adoringly kissed the tip of his nose. "Hi 'Toru, welcome home My Love." You smiled before cupping his face and pepper kisses to his cheeks.
Satoru chuckled lightly. submitting to your light kisses and nibbles while he grabs the small of your waist and pulls you closer against him, your hands land on his chest with your neck exposed to him, taking a deep breath of your sweet jasmine scent that just feels like home to him as he roams his hand all over your soft body.
"What'cha doing?" He breathes, enclosing you for a hug, stroking your head as you bury your face against his chest.
"Dinner for you." You whispered softly, nuzzling your nose into your husband's throat, letting Satoru cover you with his soothing presence that the days of his duties deprive you of. "It's been two days since we had dinner together."
"Mnn, I badly miss you and the kids too Baby." He can feel a tad of sadness in your tone. Satoru caresses your back, to placate your loneliness and to also calm himself with your presence. Walking to the counter stool, he easily lifted you by your hips and sat you on the high chair. You came level with his orbs tenderly staring at you. "Lemme just take a quick shower, you sit here and wait for me. 'kay?"
Placing a small kiss on your forehead and the next thing the sound of the bathroom and running water filled the house, it's still relatively silent with the time ticking you decided to drain the pasta instead, or else it's come out soggy and turn the stove off the stew off.
"I told you we'll cook together, what'cha doin' without me? Huh, Honey?" Satoru wrap you in a back hug once again and peppered kisses over the trace of your shoulder.
He smells heavenly. Completely home and warm. You could even smell your shampoo's lingering scent on him.
"I just drained the pasta. Can you make the sauce for me Love?"
The answer was a short kiss and Satoru moved to saute the bell pepper, sausages, and mushrooms. Seasoned it to your liking. He busied himself with it while you tried to find a nice wine to pair it with the Napolitan and the stew. Satoru doesn't usually drink alcohol but he spoils you with wines that you have to convert the space under the stairs to be your wine cellar. Your husband, who doesn't pass the opportunity to sneak a few tidbits from whatever you're eating, takes small sips from time to time. To humor and indulge you after a long week, and to leisurely weekend night.
With his back turned to you, you stalk behind Satoru and snake your arms around him, resting your hand lazily on his navel, feeling the ridges of his muscles.
"Mnnn, do it tighter." Satoru hummed as he stirs the noodles into the pan and you came behind to latch unto him. A small smile played on his lips, feeling your arms around him while your face smooshed against his back.
It doesn't help that he knows he's bigger than your frame, making you more lovable and precious to his eyes. Really, the things you do to make his heart go crazy.
It's so rare for him to be up like this and cooking. He'd much prefer to be in bed and sleep beside you, even if he has to forsake dinner. But thinking about it, it's not bad from time to time to have this quiet moment. Basking in your presence with undivided attention is such bliss.
"Do you have work, tomorrow Love?" You kiss the faint line of Satoru's spine making him arch and breathe raggedly.
"Can't say, I did tell them I'm taking a day off though." Satoru rasped huskily, a little tingly with your small kisses on his spine.
You nod and resumed to lay your cheek on his back with your eyes closed, just feeling Satoru moving around with ease while you're attached to him. You use to think this kind of clingy-ness will fade over the fourth year or some time. Well, maybe it did to some degree. But even now, with your two kids and the little one who is also about to come, just not yet showing in the bump, you both still find yourself gravitating back to Satoru.
Cliché? Hardly. With your husband often away and you have the kids to care for, a business to run, and his clan estate to attend matters for him, it's only natural you find yourself seeking comfort from your husband's presence.
"Should we leave the kids in the Estate tomorrow?"
Lately, Satoru has been more open in letting the kids stay with his parents. That says, why there's a little bun on the way to add to the huddle. But then again that's just to spend more time with you. As much as he loves his little munchkins, they can get really demanding for your attention and leave Satoru an exhausted wife to tuck in before he could even do anything.
"We could have them with us all day, and let them sleep in the Estate for the night." You let go of Satoru.
A small frown passes through Satoru's face at the loss of your presence and looks behind to see you pouring wine. He relaxed and place the Napolitan on one plate with two forks and a bowl of the stew. Setting it on the table while you peel some oranges.
He use to imagine, coming home to you dressed pretty and all. Well, just some young adults' dreams. But staring as you peel through your recent craving, Satoru can't help but sigh with a wide smile, like a lovesick fool at your image. In wrinkly pajamas and shorts, with your hair freely falling, you fit just so right and novel in the warm light of the kitchen, domestic to be exact. Barefooted as you walk, placing the saucer beside the plate and moving your high chair closer to Satoru, bumping your knees together.
"Hmmm?" You look at him as you take a whiff of the pasta.
"Have I said, I love you, today?"
Yeah, there's that sweet smile blossoming on your lips. Satoru grinned at you, as a teenager would in his fluttering heart, it's just that this one, he's got you for years, and still the feeling never fades.
"I love you too 'Toru."
You never got to twirl your fork a second time when your yelp got stuck in your throat as you're suddenly lifted from your chair and landed on your husband's lap. You didn't get a chance to scold Satoru when your foreheads are against, noses touching the tips of each other.
Satoru could feel you breathing a little quicker than you would. your hands grabbing onto his biceps while you try to probe him in question with your surprised eyes.
But seeing the twinkling adoration in his orbs, you didn't need to speak further, and just let Satoru hold you.
"I thought I'd say this tomorrow with breakfast in bed, but guess you took the icing for it huh?" Satoru closed his eyes, tracing the bridge of your nose with the tip of his nose, he could feel your breathing hitch and your hands cup his jaws, leaning more into his hold.
"I didn't mean to." You chuckled. "But isn't it nice, come to think of it it's one of the few times we did this, just the two of us?" You wrap your legs around Satoru's hips and move your hands to loosely round his neck. Satoru's hand found its place by your hips, kneading them and feeling you up.
Having him this close, all grabby and silent, unintentional or whatever but your heart melts. It's as if words aren't enough to describe what you're feeling.
"I love you Satoru."
You felt a softness take over your lips, he kissed you with all adoration and love, his lips coaxing you gently and unhurried, taking the time to tell you the words unsaid. Satoru kisses like a soldier would dedicate everything to his queen. Devotional, ardent. Something you could cry with the tenderness this feeling could be.
"I love you too Baby." He rasped like an answered prayer, between your heavy breaths. "Happy anniversary, My Wife. I love you more than life." He kisses you this time, lightly, sweet kisses that keep the tears bubbling. "You crying?" He chuckled, with a small frown as he gather the moist in your eyes with his thumb.
You sniffled and hid in his neck. How could love be this overwhelming? To fill your heart so full, that it seems it'd burst from the sheer weight of silence in his arms.
"You know, it makes me so weak, seeing your tears." Satoru takes your hand over his chest and places it above his beating heart. "Because you're my strength." Satoru stroke your head. "But really your nose is just so red when you cry, it makes me wanna see you cry more "
You nod, punching his shoulder making him hiss and laugh.
"Papa, why is Mama crying?" A groggy voice called from the stairs.
Your head shot up and saw Kouki, carrying Saika on a piggyback, walk down the stairs. Your son looks at you worriedly.
"Why are you crying, Mama? Does your tummy hurt?" He looks a little panicky and turns to his father looking for answers.
"I'm alright sweetheart." You laugh and reach to ruffle your son's head.
"Why are you carrying Cat, Kikufuku? Bad dreams?" Satoru loosened his arms but kept you perched on his thighs while he beckoned his son closer.
"No, just hungry." The little one pats his sister awake. "Cat's hungry too."
Satoru pulled the nearby chair and woke up the little girl so the two could sit and eat. From the corner of his eyes, he could see his son wanting to also snuggle up to you but couldn't find a space to sneak in between you and his Papa. Poor guy, Satoru ain't gonna give you up anytime soon.
"We're going for a stroll tomorrow Kikufuku, where do you wanna go?"
"Let's go to Niseko!" Saika intervened, all perking up at the word 'stroll'.
Satoru swallowed the spoonful of stew you fed him while thinking about it.
"It's just for one day sweetie, Papa has worked after tomorrow." You reach for your daughter's hair and brush it from her forehead. A small pout adorned her lips but it faded when she tasted the pasta.
"Boating, let's go boating." Kouki grinned excitedly.
"Let's go!" Saika gasped and clapped at her brother's genius idea.
You look at Satoru but there was no more words needed to be said. Your husband has totally fallen over for the plan. You conceded this time, can't help but be swayed by the hoping and thrilled looks directed at you. Saika however stopped and ran upstairs, coming back in a beeline.
"Mama, Papa, Kiku-nii, and I made this!" A messy bouquet was put together with the flowers from your garden and a letter was inserted in your and Satoru's hand. Saika tug at her brother and counted...
1, 2, and 3
Together they cheered.
"Happy Anniversary Mama, Papa! We love you most!"

TRUEEEEEE~ I didn't get to give you anything last week so I'll make it a drabble~ I hope you like it! Chonky sunshine babies~ Happy December everyone!!
Tumblr media
CW: suggestive hints at the end, nothing too much~
Tumblr media
Kouki had breast milk for his whole first year.
"He's chonky..." Satoru rubbed his face against the squishy mallowy, chompable cheeks of his 10-month-old son you are feeding on your rocking chair by the engawa of your home. Satoru is sitting on the floor while watching you nurse the little boy close to drifting into dreamland.
Kouki has always had a good appetite and was very easy to nurse. So much so that you had to start scheduling his feeding or else if you didn't he would be too chonky and too heavy to lift.
"Can we keep him just like this? Look he's the most precious thing you probably have seen in your life!" Satoru rested his chin on your knees and flashed you his puppy eyes trying to convince you to feed the little mochi more.
"Chonky baby is cute but he'll drain me if I just let him." You kissed the thin sheen of hair on your son's head, as white as snow like his father. Kouki's lashes fluttered, unlatching from you, and he scrunched his nose to snuggle in your chest, yawning for a bit before closing his drowsy eyes back to sleep.
"I'll burp him, lemme..." Satoru opened his arms and gently rubbed Kouki's back. It didn't take long for the little mochi to burp. For some reason, he always burps fast when it's his Papa.
"Satoru don't!"
Chomp
Your eyes widen at your husband sneaking in a bite to the sleeping baby's cheeks, too cute to resist utterly waking a grumpy sleepy mochi.
"Satoru!"
Satoru rubbed the back of his head as he tried to soothe the little mochi up.
"Sorry Honey, he was just too cute to resist."
Tumblr media
Saika although a pretty small baby has also been breastfed a year and 2 months because it took her quite a while to get used to formula.
It's 2:30 am and it's the Little Treasure's time for milk. Satoru is away for an overseas mission so you have to deal with the night feeding as well. Tired and reluctant, you parted ways with your soft pillow to reach for the bassinet only to be met with an empty space.
Chill ran down your spine as you shot up in panic only to be met by the scene of your drowsy husband sitting on your rocking chair with Saika in his arms suckling on her milk bottle.
"Go back to sleep Honey, I'll put her back after she finishes." Satoru yawned and smiled softly in your direction.
"But you haven't slept yet..." You felt relieved your daughter wasn't fussy. The little one is a little more sensitive and has been quite protected because of the incident before her birth.
"It's fine, look she's too precious when she drinks milk, I can't possibly take my eyes off her." Satoru grinned down at his daughter, suckling despite asleep. "She's so tiny... So precious..." He murmured as he held the bottle of milk for her. "She's perfect."
You smiled at them bonding in the wee hours of dawn as you returned to sleep. By the next morning, it came as no surprise to see Satoru cramped inside Saika's crib, sound asleep as the little Treasure blinked up to you innocently holding her empty milk bottle.
"Ma..mma!"
Tumblr media
Bonus:
"What are you looking at?" You warily glanced at your husband when you asked him to help you with the hook of your bra since it's hard for you to reach. Pregnancy for the third time has made you quite adept in asking him for help since if you won't he will pester you and follow you around until he gets to help you with something.
Satoru hummed and kissed your nape, looking at the mirror as he hugged you from the back with his face slotted in the space of your shoulder. A proud smile adorned his lips as he slowly reached to cup your heavy breast and his other hand protectively caress your heavy baby bump sending shivers down your spine.
"You're so sexy, Honey." Satoru praised you peppering kisses to your skin as he sucks on your neck leaving a love bite before staring back at your reflection in the mirror with a satisfied smirk at your flushed state. "If your milk comes before the babies, can I have a taste test first?"

Kidnapping of a Wife~
Tumblr media
's just basically just a drabble to get out of rusty era~
Tumblr media
It’s got to be those hips… those hips that filled up after three pregnancies, round and full against his palms every time he comes behind you and runs his hands to trace your enticing curves feeling your skin shiver against his callous hands and bite your lower lip with hazy eyes or maybe when he spanks your glorious bum cheeks and you gasp in surprise while he snickers and holds you against his body and your foreheads pressed against each other with that shit-eating grin he has that he knows never fails to get a rise out of you.
Satoru cleared his throat as he gazed at you playing with Saika on the couch, some kind of game about cats making soup or something.
Or maybe... it must be those heavy globes of yours that only grew more precious and milkier in his eyes, and let's not forget that tummy, good heavens, he's never found anything more fluffy and adorable to clutch and massage whenever his hands find your tummy… Motherhood only made you glow in his eyes.
“I win,” Kouki announces breaking the pattern of Satoru’s thoughts. His son’s white go stones capture his territory with no possible leeway to turn around.
“Lemme seeeee~” Satoru hums, as if trying to be seriously taking into account the game when for all the matter he knows he lost because he was too busy ogling at you than picking the right corner to place his go stones against his son.
“Mama, I won!” Kouki left him sitting on the mat and ran to you asking for the prize. A kiss!
Satoru pouted as you peppered his son’s face with kisses. He sighs. It’s no use arguing with his kids about wanting some lovin’ time with you. After they are his spawns, they’re bound to be glued to you just like he wants to stick around you too like a leech.
“What’s my consolation prize?” Satoru plops beside you and hugs you by the side, pouting with his chin on your shoulder.
“There’s a consolation prize?” You feigned innocence and asked your kids mooching you off with kisses and tickles.
“Nope.” Kouki shrugs.
“There’s none,” Saika added.
“Mama’s ours.” Kouki nodded and kissed your cheeks while Saika giggled and buried her face in your chest.
Satoru looked at you with a flat expression before sweeping you off your feet, hoisting you in his arms leaving the kids gaping on the floor, everything was too fast they couldn’t even hold on to your dress. His spawns are betraying him, bullying him.
“No husband has been jailed for kidnapping a wife from her clingy kids, yet.” Satoru stuck his tongue at his kids before running away with you in his arms and his two kids hot on his trails.
“Papa is a mommy kidnapper!”

Kaleidoscope Series—Clouds and Mochi Chapters: { Sweet Things }
—Gojo Satoru X Wife Reader
Tumblr media
𑁍 Synopsis:
2016... The paycheck you got yesterday was dated 2010. "This is crazy..." Is this even possible? Your knees faltered, staggering back as you reread the paper. You have fallen into the wrong timeline. Did the curse have so much power to send you far to the present? How are you gonna go back?
𑁍 Genre: fluff, time-leap
𑁍 WC/CW/TW: (1.4k)—/ glimpse of teen Satoru, teen reader, the reader got sucked in a curse's domain, clingy Satoru—/
𑁍 A/N: For some reason, there seems to be a number that likes this trope (I have two more of the same request in the inbox). This is not my forte, so sorry for the very long wait dear. I'll post the next part in Satoru's POV. This will be a three-shot I guess.
Tumblr media
"Neh, can you fight?" A 19-year-old Satoru held his breath as he asks the girl he's been wanting to talk to for years now. "I can train you," he added.
"No, but if you do that stunt again I'm gonna knee you where the sun doesn't shine." You smiled sweetly at the male, contrasting with the blank look in your eyes.
Satoru's heart only shivered. Please, you have to stop being so adorable it's making his heart go batshit pounding.
"Yaga-san, I'm going. Please wire my payment to the usual account." You bowed at the older male chanting to let down a curtain. You move to get out before the partition touched the ground.
"Oi!" Satoru almost choked on himself watching you turn your back on him. Not so fast pretty girl. Not when he's spent years looking at you from afar. He stopped you and handed over the blue folding umbrella.
"Sorry about that, I'm Gojo Satoru, and take this. It's going to rain," Satoru smiled and reach for your hand, depositing the umbrella before you could reply, and ran back into the curtain. He bit his lips, grinning to himself so badly he feels like he wants to roll on the ground. Damn it! You're just so cute. Seconds later small droplets started to fall.
That was how you "first" met the annoying but thoughtful menace. But little did you know...
Little by little he meets you more frequently in the missions, being a window, you're the first in the scene before the managers and sorcerers arrive. And it was supposed to be a normal mission and the sorcerers were just a bit late when you got entangled in the domain, with no way out. Just when your eyes are fully engulfed in the bottomless pit, a dash of white hair rushes forward and a shout called you.
"Y/n! Wake up, hey grab on me!" A crisp profanity flew out of the rude mouth. You swam into consciousness and gasped for oxygen.
You thought you're gonna die. That wasn't the first time you put down a curtain for a special grade curse but it sure will be the closest you get to dying. The curse messes up space and time. After regaining your breath, your eyes fluttered open and met the thick foliage of trees staring back at you.
The sound of loud children nearby occupied your hearing as you swam into full consciousness. This is Jujutsu Tech's grounds, the scenery is familiar but you don't know where it will lead since Master Tengen's barrier changes every day leading to different kinds of places to keep intruders from invading the school.
You started walking until you find yourself at the door of the mountain, towards the city. You look down at your dirty clothes and sighed. Perhaps getting a shower first makes sense. You hailed a cab and gave your address.
"!?"
The three-story building you're living in is nowhere and it was replaced by a fancy-looking cafe.
Les Sucreries
"What is going on?" You remember walking up and going out of your apartment this morning. You can't be in the wrong place since the ice cream parlor you love is right in front and a few blocks is the cafe you are working on part-time.
"Ah, Miss. If you'd like please check out this flier it's time-limited so make sure to drop your entry!" A lad skip up to you and extended a flier then ran away.
Free Bouquet for the first three visitors... Fleur-de-Lis Bouquets. Only until July 27, 2016...
2016...
The paycheck you got yesterday was dated 2010.
"This is crazy..." Is this even possible?
Your knees faltered, staggering back as you reread the paper. You have fallen into the wrong timeline. Did the curse have so much power to send you far to the present? How are you gonna go back?
If in 2016 your apartment is not there anymore... Does that mean you finally got to buy your own house? What course did you take in college? Did you finally get a decent boyfriend?
A blush rose to your face. Why of all things did you have to think of that? You should first find a way home before worrying about that. Maybe going back to Jujutsu Tech will help. You started walking in the direction of the college.
The cafe door opened and a lady in a barista's apron peeked outside. The baby she's carrying on her hip calmed down when she walked out of the cafe.
"Did you see someone we know Kou-chan?" The lady chuckled as she tickled her baby boy with striking white hair while he tried to babble and pointed his chubby finger at the lady walking away.
"Mama..."
"Mnn? Mama's right here sweetheart."
II
Ahhh, this is crazy. The Tokyo of 2010 and Tokyo of 2016 look so alike and not at the same time.
You walked and walked and stopped.
That striking white hair that stands out of the crowd, lanky figure, and cool minty scent. The man is walking on the other side of the road and stopped on the red lights.
"Gojo?"
Your hands immediately flew to cover your mouth. He's wearing a weird white bandage over his eyes and his hair is fluffed up by the constricting cloth. But it's him! He looks just a 'bit' more handsome and mature...
Shit! You smacked your head. This is not the time for those thoughts.
And you'd never admit it to him or else his ego will gloat and you won't hear the end of it. Sometimes you wonder if ever someone has duct taped his mouth because he's so noisy and annoying.
Anyways, you can't help but trail after Gojo. Surely he'll help you if you just approach him. Everyone says he has a bad personality but when you first met him, he may sound condescending yet he ran after you to give you an umbrella because it was going to rain. That was thoughtful of him.
He's not that so bad... You thought and sighed. He may have the answer on how you could come back home. But at the same time, you're a little curious about how he turned out 6 years later. Just a little curious. After you're satisfied you'll approach him!
Come to think of it... Is he married? He should be 24 right now... It's quite young to be married yet but knowing that he came from the Gojo Clan and on top he's the heir it's not surprising if he already has an arranged marriage partner.
What does she look like? She must have a very unique curse technique and be from a prestigious clan.
Argh! Stop thinking about that Y/n. I need to go home. You steeled your thoughts.
Mustering up your courage you ran to the nearest pedestrian line and ran after Gojo but he walks damn fast.
"Damn, those lanky legs." You panted and look around only to realize you're back to where you were before.
Les Sucreries
That's French... The name fits Gojo very much.
What is he doing here? Overcame by curiosity, you entered the cafe and sat on the farthest table. Will he recognize you?
That was when a woman came down the stairs, wearing a plain brown apron. She didn't notice you because she was focused on the man leaning on the stairs. The man was Gojo.
And the woman... was you...?
Your jaw dropped and took another look at the woman's face. It's definitely you!
It's just that your hair is longer and your body is more mature. And there's the palpable wedding band on your left ring finger.
But that's definitely "you" standing beside the strongest sorcerer, with his hands wrapped around "your" waist as he tries to sneak a kiss.
W-What happened?
Your heart was pounding and slowly regretted entering the cafe. Not in your wildest dreams did you think this would even be a possibility. I-Is he your h-husband?
So you got married. And not just married!
You're married to Gojo.
What were you thinking?! Ahhhhh! You felt your heart like a dying fish removed from the water. This isn't real... You could feel your soul escaping from your body.
You looked up and blue eyes met you. The same arrogant smirk on his lips and he whispered something to "your" ear and kissed her temples before walking towards your direction. The future "you" went up the stairs, still uninformed that her six years younger self is here.
"You blushing Y/n-chan?" He chimed and sat on the chair across from you, flashing a devilish grin. "So... how did my lil' teen crush get here?"

Hi ! It's me again, I just wanted to add that I think you're absolutely amazing. Your writing is perfect, and out of all the stories I've read about Satoru, I feel like you have the best interpretation of him, and you do a great job of conveying that in your writing. That's why I wanted to thank you for taking us on a journey and allowing us to escape into a world with Satoru!
I also wanted to make a small request, but of course you can ignore this part if you don't feel like it! The Kaleidoscope series is by far my favorite, and I wanted to see Satoru's wife be a little jealous...he's such a simp for her, and only has eyes for her, so she never has to worry about anything, and I love that, but why not have a little turn of events with lots of fluff.
Thank you!

—Gojo Satoru X Wife Reader
𑁍 Genre: fluff, a lil' wifezilla moment with y/n
𑁍 WC/CW/TW: (1.1k)— champagne moments, homewrecker alert, PDA *in capital letters
𑁍 A/N: midterms put the nail to my coffin, but here's a glass of bubbly to that~🥂
Tumblr media
Your husband without question is a fine-looking man. Too fine sometimes. But you could never count how many times girls bat lashes in his direction or even try to snag your man away with their sultry clothes almost showing their souls to him.
Your reaction?
Well, normal.
If you were a jealous woman having Satoru as your man is a big no, no. He catches too much attention for his own good. Both by males at work and girls at the sides.
But it never roused an extensive feeling of jealousy or envy in your side. Albeit after years of being with him that is. Others may call it arrogance or simply the steeled assurance between the two of you... But you've never been put in a critical position where you have the urgency of stating your claim over Satoru. They could kneel and lay down his feet but only you can touch your man.
You sip the champagne served for you at tonight's gala. It's an annual social gathering held by the prime minister for the Jujutsu clans. And the Gojo Clan being at the top of the Three Great Families of the Jujutsu society, you must attend for the formalities or whatnots.
What a bore...
Satoru's attitude must have rubbed on you for finding the opulent hall, with glitters and dazzle to be such a stifling event. Your eyes roamed around and found nothing worth noting except for the chocolate fountain Saika would've gone crazy about if she was here.
On the other hand, Satoru is crowded by both men and women. His mere height makes it hard not to spot him in the room. Not to add the newly tailored montsuki you had for him makes him eye-catching.
You had to ask him to let you sit after standing and greeting other attendees for so long. Now you're here sitting on the corner, catching your poise while passing boredom with your glass of bubbly.
Satoru is holding a glass of his extra extra sweet non-alcohol mocktail. Judging by the frequent sarcasm in his words and scrunched of his nose he will come to you and ask to go home before half an hour from now.
That was what you supposed until a younger lady came forward and started talking directly to Satoru ignoring the people around her as she laughed obnoxiously for your liking.
Call it a woman's instinct when you easily narrow to the side of your eyes as she tries to bend a little lower exposing a bit of her cleavage. Satoru didn't react much and continued talking anyway.
You don't know the girl's family background but from her flashy appearance, diamonds sparkling on her, you could surmise that she came from an influential family enough to be personally invited by the prime minister. She's too... gaudy.
It was only when she tried to offer another glass of champagne to Satoru by grabbing onto his arms and pushing the flute towards Satoru that your brow raised. She wasn't able to touch him because of Satoru's Infinity but it still counts as something uncomfortable for a lady to do with a married man.
People never really learned... It's funny seeing them try so hard, but there should be a limit to it.
Satoru's temple creased as well. But he wasn't able to do anything more when a hand grabbed the flute of the champagne being shoved toward him and a familiar sweet jasmine scent filled his nostrils. The sound of your zori heels against the marble floor broke the awkward atmosphere.
You took the flute from the surprised and confused girl and leisurely sipped the liquor before turning to whisper something to Satoru's ear but your eyes never left the girl. His Infinity dissolved the second you held on to his elbow.
"Hey Baby," Satoru hummed with a bright smile on his lips.
"She's. Annoying. Me." You punctuated the word before baring your teeth and sinking them in his enticing earlobe you only let go when you heard a subtle needy whine from your husband. An arm immediately wrapped on the back of your waist to steady you. Satoru mumbled an incoherent phrase as you hummed back in reply.
The small group was stunned and at the same time flushed at the sudden move from your side. You simply smiled and surveyed your eyes on the people, your eyes took their time to watch the young lady with a scowl on her face.
"My husband is non-alcoholic, I will take this drink for him." You downed the flute of bubbles in one go before giving the passing server the empty glass and bending a little to whisper in the young lady's ear.
There's a glint in your eyes that made everyone look away and slowly withdraw to scatter around the hall.
"There's a thin line between brave and stupid." You stood back straight and softly smiled. "Which one are you, little girl?"
She better thank whatever devil possessed you to drink a lot tonight that you're feeling a little too tipsy to argue. An arm snaked at the back of your waist whilst a hand landed on your hips to steady you.
Like a pup with its tail tucked between her legs, she turned her heel, flushed cheeks, and hunched shoulders as she walked to the other side of the banquet.
You rolled your eyes and looked for the nearest seat but a firm grip on your hips reminded you of the towering man holding you upright.
"Loved your little show~" Satoru chuckled as he tilted your dazed face higher so you could stare into his enthralling blue orbs. "My pretty, pretty Baby, so territorial over me, huh?"
You weren't able to answer back as he took your lips for a quick and sweet kiss, in the midst of the crowd, you both stood there. Him, with a victorious and satisfied smirk, and you, tipsy and in a stupor of the outward display of affection.
The crowd turned away, some gasped, some looked scandalized, and some were grinning ear to ear. Satoru and his penchant for lack of decorum is shining so brightly.
You're not teens anymore, you're both married for more or less 10 years, but damn this sweet man for never failing in drawing you in his touch. You gripped his haori. What's worse is you cannot bring your lips to protest.
Satoru sensed this and finally guided you away from the crowd, only after he kissed your temples one more time.
"My Mrs. Gojo." Satoru grinned.
Maybe you never needed to do this little stunt but for some reason this small pettiness makes your heart beat like a teenager head over heels for Satoru... What's more, is that—
That ought to teach them where he belongs.

—Gojo Satoru X Wife Reader
Tumblr media
𑁍 Genre: pregnancy journey, parenthood
𑁍 WC/CW/TW: (4.4k)—/suggestive hints, pregnant reader, labor, fluff, domesticity, subtle talks of clan matters, dad satoru, set on winter—/
𑁍 A/N: this took a while because—my holiday turned to a rollercoaster of events and gatherings, anyways happy 2024~ everyone! let me take you to the first chapter of this year~ ☕︎✍︎,
Tumblr media
WEEK 10: Kumquat
"Oh... you bought a kumquat? Did you go to the grocery, Love?"
Satoru looked up from the net of kumquat he bought and shuffled towards you, leaning down excitedly to litter butterfly kisses on your tummy.
"How are you, my babies? Did you miss Dada? Bet you missed me more though?" Satoru stood up and grinned at you. "You're 10 weeks, Honey, our babies here are as big as kumquats!"
You can't burst his bubble when he is sparkling in excitement as he leans back down and kisses your belly over and over and over until you get annoyed by the smooching sounds and pull him up. Satoru pulls you up to still on the kitchen stall while he peels some kumquat for you. He pushes a bowl with three peeled kumquats.
"Two kumquats for my sunshines and one for my pretty wifey, hehe, imagine, they're so tiny like this... and and... they're all curled up and..." He started mumbling as he giggled tracing patterns over your still small belly while you ate a piece of the kumquat.
"Don't start Satoru." You can't help but reign him down before he starts something.
"Try me." He giggled and kissed you, sneaking a lick to taste the kumquat zest on your lips.
WEEK 12: Lime
"Mama! Mama! We bought you a green orange!" Saika ran towards you as you joined in their stroll after Satoru told you they were in the shopping district just near the meeting you had. She collided with your leg and grinned up to you.
"A green orange? You mean a lime, sweetie?" You took the net with three limes inside. Bending down to kiss her is starting to be taxing with your growing belly that's a bit bigger than normal since you're having two of them inside.
"Papa said sunshines are as big as limes. When are they gonna get big enough so we can play with them, Mama?" Kouki held your hand as Satoru subtly kissed your forehead before taking your bag.
"We're gonna wait until winter, maybe by then our lil' sunshines here will be ready by then."
"Winter?! That's too long!" Saika bemoaned making you and Satoru laugh.
"Believe me, sweetie, it'll fly by."
WEEK 14: Peach
"Look what I haveeeee~" You didn't have to turn around as your feet were swept off the ground.
"Hey! 'Toru?! Put me down!"
Satoru giggled and pushed you up the counter standing between your legs to kiss your belly.
"Our babies here are as big as these peaches~" On his hand, there's a clutch of three peaches. "Lemme peel them first. Bet you missed me the whole day."
"Of course... I did not."
He held his heart and feigned death before chuckling as he peeled the sticky peach.
"How was the clan meeting? I heard they've been a pain in the ass regarding the new education system for the kids in the clan?"
You hummed and held your belly while he opened the fruit, and there were two seeds inside. "Love, keep those seeds and have someone plant them in our villa at the estate."
"Why?" Satoru looks up to you in curiosity.
"Nothing much, it's a good omen." You shrug. "Anyway, the kids in the estate like the idea of it, but you know the elders, I understand that they worry that more and more kids in the Gojo clan would prefer to work in civilian jobs rather than the jujutsu society. I'm still gauging on what extent this will benefit the clan but mostly it'll end up compromising some of the kids with higher potential with their curse energy."
Satoru placed the bowl with three slices of peaches in it.
"I'll drop by the estate training grounds tomorrow, have the kids come around for a light spar." He hums as you bite in the sweet fruit.
"What for?"
"They gotta be strong enough to defend themselves before leaving the nest." He shrugs making you raise a brow. "I'll bring Kou and Sai along, gotta learn whatever they can learn." He chuckles as he hears the kids running down the stairs.
WEEK 16: Avocado
"Honey?! Why didn't you tell me you're coming over? I could've sent someone to pick you up from the foot of the mountain." Satoru shuffled from his seat and rushed to the door where you were standing with a bento box at hand. "You smell so creamy." He buried his nose in the space of your neck taking a good amount of inhale before letting go and looking at you up and down.
"You can't keep me in bed all day besides walking is good for pregnant women." You scrunched your nose at how stuffy his office is. "I brought you lunch too, it's been quite a long time since I dropped by to bring you lunch."
Satoru excitedly opens the bento box you got.
"Oh!!! You made me a tako wiener!" He guffawed at the octopus-shaped sausages you added in the lunch box popping one of them immediately to his mouth and chewing with gusto. "I'm so glad you married me." Behind that blindfold, you could already imagine the puppy eyes he was giving you.
"What the heck?" You chuckled as he started to eat without sitting down.
"Y'know, I bought something for you later, but since you're here, lemme get it for you? Just, sit right here..." He guides you to sit on his super comfy and soft swivel chair while he grabs something from his small fridge hidden from plain sight by a sliding door. "I saw this in the convenience store earlier and thought about you."
He places three rows of sliced avocados in front of you with a small bowl of tuna flakes. Satoru sat on the table facing you—sitting on his chair.
"Just eat as much as you can, I'll eat the rest if you can't finish it."
"And you keep telling me to stay still? If you keep feeding me and not let me work, I'll be a whale." You pouted as you savored the avocado and a bite of the tuna flakes.
"No, you won't be, I'll have you exercise in the bedroom under my supervision." He winks making you kick his shin and he lets out a laugh. "Just kidding, don't be pouty my pretty Mrs. Gojo, okay?"
WEEK 18: Capsicum
"Before you judge me, I have my reason." Satoru took off his apron and sighed.
"Put that apron back on." You sighed, it's one of his tactics in distracting you... wearing nothing on top but just his apron and cotton pants, barefoot in the kitchen with his bedroom hair.
Hormones... You fanned yourself and looked away from the sight of his hard abs and pecs.
"No, and okay, I'll explain." He chuckles, leaning closer to give you a man's eye view of his pecs and abs ridge, stirring your attention on his body rather than the plate before you. "I wasn't sure what to do with the bell pepper, okay? I didn't know if you want to eat spicy food while pregnant so don't judge me if I made it a garnish instead."
"Love..." You bit your lips, you weren't angry or even annoyed, it's just that Satoru didn't happen to like your stifled giggle at his artwork. "You massacred the capsicum..."
"It's a flower! Look these are the petals and the spinach is the leaf." Satoru frowned, reasoning with you as he showed you the YouTube video tutorial, he based his work on. "It looks the same to me."
WEEK 20: Banana
"Banana for you, for me, for you, and you, and those two~" Satoru held two bananas and danced towards you while playfully aiming the banana at you, and the two munchkins cuddled beside you.
"Is it banana week now?" You chuckled and reached to kiss him welcome home as he bent down to accept your kiss with a wide grin.
"Well, our sunshines here must be as big as a banana now." Satoru kneels down and kisses your pointy belly. "You want banana shake, Honey?"
He strips off his dark turtleneck uniform leaving him in his white compression shirt, holding three bananas as he walks to the kitchen.
"Mama..." Kouki opens his eyes from sleep, rising from your lap still somehow a bit groggy.
"Hungry, Sweetheart?" You kissed his forehead making the boy beg for more as he clung to your neck.
"Mama..."
"Mnnn?"
"Mama, Mama, Mama..." He mumbled over and over, hugging you tight and burying his face in your neck.
"My Sweetheart needs some lovin'?" Kouki nods and whines. Your 5-month baby bump proves to be hard to hug your little boy closer so you opted to kiss his face all over and rub his back soothingly. "How was your sleep?" Lately, he's been so sleepy that it's worrying sometimes since he used to hate sleeping when his curse energy was all over the place.
"T'was nice... I dreamt of playing with babies all day... we'll sleep in the crib together... and..." Kouki hums. "It's a good dream."
"Really?" You chuckled before letting him go as he saw his Papa holding a tray of banana shakes.
"Papa!"
"My Kikufuku's awake! Gimme a kiss and a hug, fluffball." Satoru sets the tray on the table before sweeping off his son from your arms and throwing him up in the air giving you a small heart attack as he perfectly catches the boy and blows raspberries on Kouki's tummy much to the boy's delight.
You sighed. Boys will be boys. You satisfied yourself in sipping the banana shake while combing through Saika's long hair while she slept peacefully unbothered by the noise of her father and brother. Halfway through you'll also have your little ones in your arms, joining the huddle filled with love.
WEEK 22: Lebanese Cucumber
"I wasn't sure when I got this but I remember we could enjoy this together." Satoru squirmed a bit with his hand clasped over his stomach. "'s coldddd brrrrr!" He shivered.
"Yeah? Well, I'm not complaining." You chuckled as you put the slices of cucumber over his eyes. Beside him, Saika is lying on her father's leg with cucumber slices over her eyes too.
"You like it, Sweetie?"
"Yes, Mama, will I look pretty like you after this?" She asks confidently.
"You'll be pretty like me Cat." Satoru pipes up, blindly patting his daughter's head.
"I don't want Papa, Mama is prettier."
You could see the pout on Satoru's lips as he whines.
"But you have to take care of your eyes because I love that you and Papa have the same eyes."
That easily blew the pouting between your cats.
"Kouki don't eat that!"
No wonder your son was so silent he was already eating the bowl of cucumber slices behind the bed and ran away when you saw him taking the bowl with him as he laughed.
WEEK 24: Ear of Corn
"Grilled."
"Stir-fried."
"Grilled!"
"Kikufuku, it's better to grill corn."
"No, Papa, we need stir fry."
"Mama!"
"Baby!"
They chorused and looked at you.
"Me?" You look up from the corn pudding Satoru's mother sent over. You wiped your mouth and cleared your throat.
"Mama, I want stir-fried corn." Kouki immediately ran to you and hugged your leg, blinking up to you with his puppy eyes.
"Honey, grilled corn is better, I promise you." Satoru took off his blindfold and also flashed you his puppy eyes."
"Why don't you just make both? Grilled and the other stir fry?" You hummed.
"No way... I'm tired." Satoru pouted.
"Mama... I want stir fry, pleaseeeeeeeeee."
Really... you gotta do what the light of the house does.
"Let's have some corn soup. So, no one fights."
WEEK 26: Green Onion
"How are you feeling?" Satoru opens the door with a tray in his hand.
Your body feels so heavy and your nose is clogged up, to put it simply you're feeling under the weather.
"Must be from working in the backyard all afternoon." Satoru sets the tray beside you and helps you up to sit. "The kids are asleep, I need to go out for a bit for work, I'll be back by 9 o'clock." He gets the thermometer to check your temperature.
"38.2... should I change your fever patch?"
"No..." You shook your head and opened your mouth for the egg drop porridge he made with lots of green onions on top.
"Should we... go to the doctor? Or I can make the doctor come here." Satoru blows on the spoon before feeding it to you. He looks tame and gentle with how he cares for you.
"It's fine... it'll go down by tomorrow." Hopefully... your pregnancy with Kouki and Saika was fairly smooth, even though Saika was a bit harder without Satoru and that incident with the Tachibana Clan, still... those pregnancies were still easy compared to now.
You feel twice the effect at the same time, so much heavier that even walking for 10 minutes is physically taxing already. There are nights when you are simply restless, unable to sleep with the heat pooling in your body despite the full-blast aircon.
You tried to reach for your phone on the bedside when something constricted.
"Ouch!" Your leg stiffened as you tried to flex your feet.
"Lemme..." Satoru quickly put down the bowl and held your cramping feet, easing the muscles.
"Gently..." You hissed at the crawling tightness in your muscles as you gasped for air.
"There, there... still hurts?" Satoru looks up to you as he gently massages the muscles to loosen up.
"A bit..." a sigh left you as your cramps gradually subsided.
"Hey, Honey..." Satoru took you in his arms and rubbed your back. "It's okay, you're good. It's going to be alright."
You listened to the way he breathes, following Satoru's calm breathing as you also calm down.
"Will you come back soon?"
"Baby, I'll be back by 9 or even before 9," Satoru assures you, pressing kisses to your head. "Want me to bring you some fried chicken from that new kaarage place you mentioned last time?
You shook your head and stared at the bowl of egg rice porridge, and the glass with tall green onions inside.
"What's that for?" You pointed to the green onion.
"I asked Mom—your Mom—what to do with cold and she said to wrap a green onion around your neck, but I can't do that to you." Satoru grimaced at the thought. "So I put it in a glass and put it in your bedside so you can sleep better instead. Hopefully, it works."
"Did you really have to call Mom?" You can't help but find it amusing.
"Of course, who else am I supposed to call?" He grumbles and feeds you another spoonful.
"Funny because remember that one time you got a really bad case of diarrhea?"
Satoru gave you a dry look at bringing that event again.
"What about it? It's not funny, that expired bread was so good even though it was already bad."
"That time I also called your mother what to do about you."
WEEK 28: Eggplant
"Mama, did you know that if Papa dyes his hair green he will look like an eggplant?"
You let out a strangled choke to keep the orange juice you are drinking from spurting out your mouth. Your daughter has another strange observation once again. You're sitting on the couch watching some horror movie together.
"Don't say that to your Papa, he will sulk." You hum as you eat the doughnuts.
"But he always wears his weird long uniform, he should wear our new shark onesies," Saika pouts.
"I think Papa looks very handsome in his uniform though." Makes it a bit easier to hide his body from any possible homewreckers. But you didn't say the last part.
"Papa! Mama said you look handsome!" Saika giggled and ran behind the kitchen wall where Satoru was grinning ear to ear his arms were on his back as Saika clung to her Papa's leg, giggling.
"You little snitch." You chuckled as Saika ran to hug you back on the couch and Satoru got on one knee before you and cleared his throat. He brought his hand forward and offered you a basket filled with eggplants.
"Will you have my eggplant?"
"What the heck?" You laughed and took the basket from him.
"So your answer?" He grins and caged you between his arms on the couch. Saika giggled and ran upstairs talking to her brother about having some stir-fried eggplant for dinner.
"You're so obscene." You chuckled at the three big eggplants in the basket. "It's a yes, isn't it obvious?" You cradled your heavy belly.
"Right..." Satoru laughed and kissed you. "Got you pregnant with my eggplant eh?"
You end up taping his mouth as you cook some fried eggplants for dinner.
WEEK 30: Cabbage
"You're buying too much."
You watch him keep adding to cart maternity dresses to the cart. It's the kind of dresses that cost above than what you would spend on clothes. You don't have to say much knowing how much he spends on his T-shirt which you don't complain much, Satoru spends a lot but he makes a lot besides the bank account used for the spending in the home is enough to maintain everything.
"But you will look cute in these dresses." Satoru hums his hand resting on your hips while the other scrolled through the iPad on his knee.
"You know that I won't get to wear that much anyway because I'm due in two or three months. Besides, my gifts from friends and family were more than enough." You lay your head on his shoulder, watching him scroll for a new baby clothes set.
"It's okay, we can always have them fixed so you can wear them after. But for now, as much as possible you can have as many dresses as you can choose from." Satoru kissed your forehead and added.
The doorbell rang and Kouki ran to get it followed by Satoru. When they went back they holding a grocery bag.
"For our sunshines and Mommy!" Satoru walks inside and Kouki runs to give you the long bag.
"What's this?" You chuckled seeing three big cabbages inside of the bag.
"We're having okonomiyaki tonight, like it?"
"Okonomiyaki? With cabbage?"
"Yes, just wait here, I'll make dinner."
You didn't complain as you watched him make his way through the kitchen, wearing an apron as he skilfully chopped through the ingredients he was going to use, soon Kouki came over to help with well, sneaking some bites of the carrots and shredded cabbage.
"We don't have a teppan." You sighed as you stood up, holding your heavy belly as you walked to them, kissing Kouki's head as you stood beside him.
"I'll use the regular pan." Satoru hums and finishes making the batter of the pancake.
"I can't wait for my baby sister and brother, Mama. Do you think they will like the squishmallow I bought?" Kouki kissed your belly and rubbed it gently.
"They will love it." You assured him.
Satoru gave you the first sample of his pancake which you took a bite and gave a thumbs up.
"It's very yummy, Honey."
"I promise I will be a good brother to you too sunshine..." Kouki rested his chin on your belly and grinned at you.
WEEK 32: Small Pumpkin
"I can't believe I'm currently having two babies this big inside."
You marveled at the small pumpkins Satoru gave you.
"How are they? Did they kick you or anything?" Satoru rubbed your belly and kissed you before bringing the three pumpkins he brought to the kitchen and went to the common bathroom to change.
"Not really, they were very good." You caressed your bump and smiled. "What are we gonna do with those pumpkins?"
"C'mere, Baby." Satoru pulled down his shirt and opened his arms for you. "Anything you want to do with it?"
"Mnn, not really." You inhaled his scent and gave him a thumbs up. He smells nice.
"Y'know my students are asking why I smell like the dishwashing liquid. And I have to explain that we don't have detergent liquid because I don't want them to know you don't like my smell."
You laughed, rubbing your face in his chest inhaled his scent, and put your hand on his waist making him squeal in tickles.
"Don't start." He bit your ears in exchange and hugged you tight before you could escape. "My mother sent a pumpkin pie for you, she said you called last time about wanting some pumpkin pie."
"She did?" You chuckled and looked at the side looking for the box of pie.
"Yeah, don't worry I tasted it and there's nothing in it just... pumpkin."
"What the heck?" You laughed. "Of course, there's pumpkin, last time Mother also made a coconut pie for me, it was delicious."
"Mama! Mama! It's so yummy!" Saika came running from the kitchen with some crumbs on her lips with her brother trailing behind holding a plate of the pie slice.
"You want one Ma?" Kouki offered you the slice.
You accepted the slice and ruffled your son's head for thanks.
WEEK 34: Cantaloupe Melon
"That's big..." You stared in awe at the cantaloupe he just brought home.
"Want a shake, Baby?" Satoru hums.
"Yes please, it's so hot here."
Satoru looked at the aircon already in full swing.
"Mnn..." Satoru pulled the blender out and started prepping the ice and cream. "Baby, I've been thinking... You're now close to your due date and we should probably stay in the Gojo Estate for now."
You look up to him.
"Or maybe in the hospital itself," Satoru added.
"I'm fine, Love..."  You sighed. "There could be someone more in need of the room I will be staying in the hospital and besides, I feel more comfortable in our home."
"But, Baby... this is not your usual pregnancy... I can't sit still at work worrying about you..." Satoru stopped making shake and walked over to you, holding your hand as he brought it to his lips. "Please? If you don't want the hospital, then the house in the villa... It's near the main house where the machines needed for childbirth are ready.
"But I wanna stay here, I even starting a little cuddle nest here." Sure you did and it was in the kids' nursery room. You pouted and looked up to Satoru.
"I'll stay in the hospital three days before my due date or maybe in the villa, okay? If ever I feel something is off I will go there as soon as possible but not for now. Okay?"
Satoru sighed and nodded, accepting the peck you gave him.
"Okay... Still want that melon shake?"
"Yes!"
WEEK 36: Romaine Lettuce
"We're having yakiniku tonight!" Satoru held three bunches of romaine lettuce as he barged in the door only to find you on the couch with the two kids by your side holding two bags... the unmistaken baby bags he packed himself.
"Oh, what's this?" Satoru put the grocery bag on the table and looked at the three of you. "What happened, Baby?"
"We're having the babies I think~"
Satoru gasped and the two munchkins giggled.
"Then why are we still here?! Wait, where do you want to go? Hospital? Villa?" Satoru stood up.
He grabbed the bags and kneeled to put on your shoes.
"I don't think I'm going to give birth yet, besides my water didn't break yet." You held the hem of his shirt. "I will go to the hospital..."
You know more than anyone that this pregnancy and childbirth will be different from the previous one you had. You don't want to ever take the risk despite knowing Satoru will never hesitate to ensure all your needs are met, and yet it is better to be in the hospital since this is an uncanny situation you have...
"We're going now, kids you'll have to stay with your grandparents." Satoru barely listened as he called someone and soon enough the car rolled up to get you both.
"Satoru, breathe Love." You chuckle when you feel he's barely breathing as he holds you.
"I am. What do you think I'm doing?" He huffs. Sweat beads were forming on his temples
"I dunno, you're not breathing when you're holding me." It's one of the few times he's genuinely panicked for a bit.
"Right, doesn't matter, let's go." He huffs and closes the door.
"What's gonna happen to the romaine lettuce?" You raise a brow.
"I dunno! All I know is that's supposed to be the size of our baby coming out of you."
WEEK 38: Mini Watermelon
"Love, I want a watermelon."
"Baby, you're in labor." Satoru stood up from the couch offered by the hospital and went to your bedside. He took your hand in his. "I could go ask the doctor if it's okay..."
"We've been here since last week's Friday and it's Thursday now... I deserve to eat before my active labor starts Satoru."
You didn't have to tell him twice with how your eyes narrowed. He swallowed before nodding.
"I'll ask someone to buy—"
"No, I want you to buy it."
"Baby!"
"Sa.To.Ru."
"Fine..." His imaginary tail fell down and his shoulders slackened. "What if you give birth and I won't be there?"
"Do I look like I'm giving birth in the following hour?" You pointed to your belly as he helped you sit on the bed. "I feel like I could do cartwheels and the babies would still be sleeping in my womb. Besides, the watermelons are just in the cafeteria, just 10 or 20 minutes and you'll be back here."
Satoru looked at you doubtfully but followed your cravings.
"I'll be back, sit tight, okay?" He walks to the door, like a kicked pup. "You call me okay? Or the nurse."
"I know, I know, go already." You waved to shoo him out. When he's out you finally stand up, somehow walking around the private room for a bit to move your muscles. Kouki and Saika have been very excited to meet their sibling, especially Kouki who kind of remembers that you also had to stay in the hospital for some time before you gave birth to Saika.
Your OB doctor decided not to induce you at 36 weeks since your other baby who is still developing might be affected, instead, you all decided to wait it out since you are still in your prodromal labor. At this rate, you might even give birth at full term to both of them... It's 4 in the afternoon already.
You reach for your water jug on the table. It's a bit heavy. You drank a bit. Some spilled down... and some more... and more...
You looked down at your legs and the puddle of trickling water on the floor.
"Satoru!"
