December review [no spoilers] 9/10

omegaverse, alpha x omega, trust issues, soulmates (sort of), yandere/possesive, wholesome and cute, nsfw, ongoing (2 seasons so far)

I loved it so much. To be honest, never thought i would say this words about an omegaverse series, but here we are. It truly was different from all the other omegaverse you can find nowadays - i loved how in depth the explanations went and how the classism between the secondary genders was shown. I really liked how this comic included woman having secondary genders too, as it made this omegaverse be less i-fetishise-gay-people and more this-is-a-fantasy-world-that-makes-sense.

I loved the pace in which the characters relationship developed as it allowed you to enjoy the now, but also not make it so slowburn you cant take it anymore. It was perfect for me, i loved how the author teased us with the sexual scenes, denying the kisses etc (the people in the comments were going wild, but i think this sort of teasing is really hot and helps build the tension between the characters)

A lot of people in the comments were calling ML the green flag alpha and to be honest, he really was (we are speaking about a fantasy here of course, he was doing a lot of yandere shit but in the manhwa realia its just for the better hehe~). It was really refreshing to show this possesive and cold yandere be so soft to the mc, always asking for consent and checking up on him.

Also, MC is so cute and lovable my heart could barely stand it. He was reminding me visually Na-Kyum from "The painter of the night" which was really doing it for me. He was so kind to others and so selfless, but in the same time he could stand up for himself.

I loved how the comic displayed healing from trauma, and the impact traumatic events have on your loved ones, how they can sometimes be a little overprotective of you afterwards, while you try to live normally again.

The yandere parts were chefs kiss to me, i really like when bitches get what was coming for them so it was really satisfying in that way. Also i LOVED THE GRANDPA FROM THE CONVENIENCE STORE I LIVE FOR HIM.

I can't wait for the next season, will surely write an update when i read the rest^^

Reality lover review [no spoilers] 4/10

office romance, secret yaoi enjoyer trope. manager x worker, manager bottom x worker top, ongoing (only 13 ch released so far), nerd, they both have huge dicks TW: nsfw

This is the manhwa that really dissapointed me, since i am such a fan of Romantic Captain darling (you can read the review here) and this piece was by the same author. The charactes looked really similar as well as their character traits resembled those from RCD, which made me wonder if maybe this sort of mechanic is one of the only things this author can write about. But since i loved RCD so much, even if this manhwa would be the exact copy of it, i would've read it whole and the reread it again.

Well, it was not. While i liked the idea for the plot, and the first few chapters were really fun, there really wasn't much going on. After one sex scene you felt like you've read it all, the plot was hardly existent after intruduction and the characters went from 0 to 100% real fast, which kind of misses the point, couse - why should we read a manga about characters who get together so quickly? When the problems in the relationship did appear, it seemed like it was kind of forced so that the plot won't be JUST them fucking, which was not one of those porn-for-plot situation, you could see that the author was trying to build the tension, but failed miserably.

At first i thought maybe it was a short comic, since everything sorted out after a few chapters, but it wasn't the case - which made reading this manhwa boring and pointless - apart from the beautiful artstyle of course.

I literally couldn't stop reading this shit. I loved how the author has written the characters and showed how the apocaliptic, extreme times can make people do crazy shit. Its truly one of the kind in the manhwa genre.

The only unrealistic thing was that the mc and lm seemed to be getting to horny stuff only while the mc was injured (at first at least) but it didn't make mc's injuries go worse??? Idk if i fucked like a rabbit while i was hurt i think my physical health wouldn't been better afterwards ;-;

Also, i think the main character was a little slow onto the secret that ml holds, which was not annoying as such, but, again, kinda... weird? Like dude, its not that hard XD

But those are some minor flaws, i can't WAIT for the season 2 to come out!!!!

This is the worst shit ive read in a long time, mostly because for 40 fucking episodes nothing was happening. Boring as hell, and you see this black haired guy? Fuck him, hes trash.

And after those 40 episodes of mindless scrolling, couse i was like “well, they said there will be a yandere here…” author thought it was boring too, apparently, and out of nowhere we got rape, drugging, emotional and physical abuse and… yandere? But in the worst way possible. So, in the first half i was hating just the black haired guy, now i hate the violet too. What the actual fuck, how can you manage to make all of your ML undesirable?

Main character on the other hand is perfect. I loved him so much, and i liked his trauma history, how it was unrevealing and how we got to understand his choices better.

Nonetheless, i feel bad saying this, but with all this raping and drugging and god knows what else, at least this shit got sort of interesting, and it was not so boring anymore (i was literally scrolling through sex scenes, how boring can a manhwa be that you skip sex scenes???)

Of course, no trigger warnings in the manhwa itself, but thats a given at this point. At least characters point out that the rape did happen, and dont just act like ot was nothing and just a “rough sex”.

I think i will be reading new episodes as they come out, since i struggled through 70 chapters of this shit, but if any of you want to read this, just skip to chapter 37, i will tell you what was happening before that so you dont waste time:

Jihyuk is the main character who works in a bar for exclusive members, his boss is going out w/ his brother who is an omega.

Jihyuk fucks around a lot and then he meets yoo-jun who is of course wealthy as fuck (the black haired guy). He is an alpha in heat so jihyuk helps him and fucks with him. Yoo jin doesnt remember that but he helped jihyuk’s brother years ago, so jihyuk wants to pay him back. Yoojun convinces jihyuk to keep fucking with him, since he needs someone to reguraly fuck. It turns out he imprinted on some omega ages ago and when this omega dumped him, he was left alone with his horniness all over the walls.

Jihyuk agrees to be his fuck buddy, but reluctantly - he is scared of falling in love and he can feel himself falling in love with yoojin, who is still in love with his “hyung” - the omega he was dating.

COINCIDENTALLY JIHYUK HAS A FRIEND WHO IS AN OMEGA. His name is eunsong, but jihyuk calls him hyung of course. Jihyuk doesnt know that this hyung is the same hyung yoojun is in love with. Eunsong however is in love with jihyuk (here we have this shitty triangle).

So jihyuk is in love with yoojin, yoojin is in love with hyung and hyung is in love with jihyuk

Yoojin will drop everything if he hears that he can see his hyung somewhere which breaks jihyuk’s heart.

Right befor the action of 37chapter starts, hyung found out that jihyuk is fucking with yoojung. Sp he invites yoojung to some bullshit party and the only condition is that he has to brong a date (to check if what jihyuk and yoojung have is serious - of course they come to the party together)

I think thats all, i really dont reccomend reading it from the begining, but, i guess you can try???

WHY WAS THIS SERIES SO SHORT? HUH??? WHY THE FUCK WAS IT SO SHORT!!!!

I am in LOVEEEEE with this anime. The tension, the characters, the drama…. Ugh, i’m living for that!!!

The only problem i had was with understanding exactly what correlation the main characters have wirh background characters, f.e. doc and his master, it was kind of confusing for me. But maybe the translation i was watching was faulty so maybe that was it.

But the colours??? The animation??? What the actual fuck, it was so perfect im gonna watch this on loop till the day i become a vampire myself haha

To be honest, this series would’ve had even higher score, if not for the ending. The whole series was so cute and comfy, and of course we loooove a cute yandere so there was that. The only “BUT” i have is that some parts of the manhwa were written in such manner, that made sense only when you finally got the big picture. For example mc is very sensitive to rumours abt him, and we, as viewers, dont really understand why, which was explained eventually, but…. Some episodes were written kind of messily, and i think if not for the cute characters and how in love i was w/ them i would be more bothered.

There, of course, were some parts with sexual abuse (f.e. Sexual acts when one of the characters is blacked out) that were NOT MENTIONED IN THE TW, but i am not even surprised at this point, manhwa authors kinda lost a meaning of the word “consent”. Its kinda frustrating.

And, of course we have the ending, which left me like:

It was as if the plot was cut in half, and they called it a day, which was very unsatisfying, and left me feeling like the author did not have an idea how the ending should look, so they just messily ended the series just so. To say it was very unsatisfying is an understatement, i couldnt believe they ended the series like that🫠

“Again” review (no spoilers)

Overall score: 7.5/10

Woww…. So lets start with saying that it is a slow burn, a little too slow for my taste, but nonetheless i am a sucker for enemies to lovers so i was swept anyways. The beginning of the series was a little rough, especially cosidering lack of romantical tension in felt while reading. I really like the trope of coming back in time and how it was used, its plain to see that this author is great at writing characters, so that they are not black and white, but they all have their flaws and their strenghts. It was a really wholesome series, it felt me feel all warm inside, especially how MC was overcoming his fears. I liked the series much better after the characters got together however, when they were dating i felt like mr Kang was playing MC while MC was basically begging fir his attention. It was this disbalance that felt weird to me, but luckily it stabilised. Sometimes i was even more excited for the plot to unravel than to see mr kang on screen, who was pissing me off at the beggining of the series.

While at that, i think its worth to mention that while this series had a rather mature approach when it came to suicide, when it came to rape and sexual abuse i felt like it was shrugged off a bit.

Overall, i think it was a wholesome series, and the triggering topics were not hard to swallow, on the contrary. I loved how this series ended, i am surely looking out for other series by this author^^

Salty Lust review (no spoilers)

Rape normalisation, that's what it is. While of course i know yandere's are support to be a fantasy, when you do not put tw in b4 episodes, its as you consider the character's doing as normal and correct. Especially considering that only SOME episodes had a Rape TW, while the others (where rape definetely happened) did not. It was confusing as hell.

Now, to the review:

I like that the action takes place on the other planet, as well as how the world is built - i also like the idea how they had an actual reason why the Top is filthy rich, and not just-because. I like how it is a harem situation, but in the same time there still is posessiveness and jealousness without the feel like EVERYONE in the world is attracted to MC.

What i felt like was lacking, was day-to-day representation of the MC's life, which he was stripped off for the sake of the smut. This was one of the series that i liked less and less, especially as the end of the season 1 was coming to an end. I also really hate when the MC is portrayed as this cold character, but still forgives his lovers as soon as possible, even if they do some crazy shit like here - sometimes i just wanted to scream "WHAT THE FUCK YOU WILL JUST POUT??? YOU'RE NOT EVEN GONNA TO MOVE OUT OR SOMETHING? BREAK UP???" which was not only frustrating, but made no sense as well.

And when i pushed through it all despite this, i got an ending of a season that left me like:

no, i won't be reading the next season, if itll come out. But really good sex scenes at least.

D:AZE review (no spoilers)

I was sort of amazed by how many peoples were involved in creating this manhwa, and -to be homest - having that in mind was sort of dissapointing

The main characters of the series are First and Clifford, who both work in a secret agency who fights gruesome and animal-like vampires. I liked the setting of the world and how it was more action less fantasy which was kind of unexpected. The chemistry between characters, and their characteristics are pretty unique too - it’s not your typical dominant x submissive manhwa. I like that very much, it was really refreshing and surprising, good job on that.

The dialogs, and settings of some scenes however were really confusing. Sometimes characters were speaking what they should usually be thinking, sometimes they were asking just straight up dumb questions to explain to the viewer what was happenig and their reactions in some scenes are not really adequate to what was happening. This way it was kind of harder to know what was happening on the screen, especially how sometimes one scene jumps into another. There really should’ve been some „ two days later” or „the next day” or „the party night”, but there was non, and we, as viewers were supposed to figure out what was happening.

I really liked the slow burn between characters, but sometimes i was pretty confused what they were feeling towards each other, and what they were thinking. Just not enough info, it was frustrating. The ending of the episodes were (i suppose) usually a cliffhangers, or at least they were meant ti be, because most of the time they didn’t make much sense. I was fine with the episodes already out, but if i had to wait for the next episodes it would be even more confusing.

Im puzzled. On one hand, some plot twist left me with my mouth open, on the other some scenes felt corny as hell, and while im used to manhwas being cheesy this one was in a whole different tone, so i dont think the authors were aiming for that.

And since the translation was done officially too, i can complain about it. It was decent, but i felt like some stuff were lost in translation, almost like some dialogues and expressions were different in korean.

Whats worth mentioning, is that this series gets better later, and while for me it was almost unbearable to read in the beginning, i am now looking out for the next episodes^^

Not really a yandere, more like a possesive tones but still - worth recommending, overall^^
