When I was younger and researching the autism diagnosis criteria and symptoms, I thought “oh I couldn’t POSSIBLY be autistic.” Because when I read “takes everything literally” I thought it literally meant EVERYTHING and I was like “I don’t take EVERYTHING literally, just most things!” And I just realized the other day that it didn’t actually mean EVERYTHING and that was an overstatement.

i have a burning hatred for relationship hierarchies.
Why is it offensive to want to just be friends? Why is it expected for romantic partners to always take prioritization over friends? Why is it rude to tell someone you aren't friends, just chill with each other? Why are queerplatonic relationships seen as a step down from romantic relationships? Why is it bad to not want to make step ups in romantic relationships?
these labels have different meanings and levels importance to everyone, therefore they have no meaning or importance.

I swear, if "aromantic people need a queerplatonic partner to be happy" becomes an actual societal expectation, I'm going to actually cry.
#i was recently propositioned with a qpr by someone i *barely know* outside of dnd bcuz they know i’m aroace and like#first of all no we do not know each other nearly well enough to even maybe begin this level of closeness#second of all why are you assuming i want to be in a qpr just bcuz i’m aroace?? that’s not how this works#third of all it was completely random-no prompting or conversation that led to this whatsoever. just why??#and fourth of all no i’m not interested in being in a qpr with anyone full stop. which you would’ve known if you had asked me before#propositioning me#and fifth of all i don’t think your definition of a qpr is the same as mine. like what if you’re viewing this as the precursor to a#romantic relationship?? which hell no that’s not happening#sorry i have a lot of thoughts#obviously if you are in a qpr or want a qpr you are valid! that’s just not something i’m personally into and this was a very weird thing#that happened recently#aroace
