Hmm, the official Makeship Rody Plushies have not started being delivered yet (They're set to be delivered in June) so I don't know which plushie you got but please be careful not to get the bootleg versions of plushies in the future outside of the official Makeship website since they're cheap copies that are far lower in quality compared to the original plushie/most of them are scams and doesn't support the developers despite using the official plushie design :[

Realizing I've never posted these on Tumblr so here's some character concept art/info for S-01-VER BULLET, a 90s cyberpunk anime-inspired story about an intern named Kowalski being controlled to assassinate the CEO of humanity's last standing city by a sadistic hacker Uno [01]!

Even if Dead plate wasn’t queerbaiting, it was DEFINITELY shipbaiting. The dialogue option about whether Rody is jealous of Vince’s possible gf, the hair drying scene, the way he stops correcting Rody about not calling him Vince… u guys r tumblr girlies, you knew damn well what you were doing LMAO. There’s nothing wrong w that lol - it makes for a fun dynamic - but don’t claim that queerbaiting never came into it pffft

My co-developer and composer who worked on the game are both men, calling us "tumblr girlies" is a bit condescending and disrespectful.

To queerbait or shipbait, it means we were taking advantage of possible queer characters and relationships as a means to appeal to queer audiences while maintaining ambiguity about the characters' sexualities. We don't believe the game was baiting anyone since again not only the sexualities of the characters aren't ambiguous as it was fully stated they were written as queer the moment they were designed way before the game was even developed, we've expressed multiple times that while the game does have themes of queerness and cannibalism the main plot and intention behind the source game was always intended to heavily focus on exploring the horror that comes from toxic and unhealthy obsessions and mindsets and how far one is willing to go for them (Rody's self-sacrificial and desperate love for Manon, Vince's selfish obsession for perfection, Rody and taste, etc). The game is about a waiter seeking out and realizing what happened to his ex-girlfriend, that's always been the main plot, Dead Plate is a game in the thriller/horror genre and there was not a single mention of the game having any possible romance in it nor the queer identities and interactions of the characters were used to promote the game in any of the official game pages or promotional material to draw in more audiences, so hearing that you're watering the game down just as some kind of shallow bait is a bit disheartening.

Sometimes characters just happen to be queer, and not all media with queer characters are strictly about romance. Their relationship is still up for audience interpretation and people can take them as whatever they like if they want to enjoy them like that as long as they aren't hurting anyone but we never meant to intentionally bait anyone into trying out the game using their queerness, and that as queer writers ourselves we've expressed time and time again how we wished people to check out the game for the overall narrative and message it has rather than for people to only focus and view the game as shipping material since we believe the game offers a lot more than that.

hello i sent an ask b4 but i tht it wld be better to ask again...

just to inform u that me and my college's performing arts club r putting on a live play adaptation of dead plate! we're currently practicising hard every week 🔥 performance will probably be around april 26!

i wld also like to assure u that the only profit we make from this (if we make any at all 💔) goes towards our club funds (which r quite barren rn im ngl) and nothing else, and if u decide u want a share of the money we earned we wld be more than willing to discuss a share of the profits with u 🫶

Sure, you guys are allowed as long as proper credits are given to the original game and us creators (STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE: RachelDrawsThis, Ekrix, BellKalengar) and state that the play is an unofficial adaptation/not officially associated with the studio.

We'd also absolutely love it if you guys recorded the finished play and took pictures of any promotional material (like posters) or the script for the show and send it to us (studioinvestigrave@gmail.com) so we can watch it, the production idea sounds really cool and it'd be our honor to look through them :]

Hello! I was wondering if we could make merchandise from your games? Like keychain etc.

Yes! As stated in the official Studio Investigrave page, fan merchandise is allowed as long as it isn't using any of the official art or in-game assets (example: CGs that are actually in the game, posters done by the official artists/creators, etc) and the art you use for the merch are your original art, not someone else's fan art. (Also send one to us for free) << not a real requirement

where does cold front take place/does it have a set location?? (I kinda assumed Michigan or Washington bc of the bears and elk but im curious!)

The setting of Cold Front was heavily inspired by Saskatchewan, Canada where I used to live when I was young! They're Canadians I fear......

Hello! You mentioned at one point that dead plate would get more endings in the future. Do you have any ideas for what kind of endings they would be? And if so, would you tell a little about them, or do you not want to spoil?

Also, I really loved the game, so thank you for making it!

I never said there would be more endings of Dead Plate, we feel satisfied with the current story of Dead Plate and where it left off so there won't be any more endings & sequel of the game.

Why is it that everything on the studio investigrave itch.io page is also uploaded to your own personal page? It seems like it kinda negates the purpose of having two pages in the first place. Do you plan to upload stuff to your own page that's outside of the studio?

My page was the original page since 2022 where Eloquent Countenance and Cold Front were uploaded as they are my personal games I worked on as a solo dev, it's only with Elevator Hitch that I began working with others on a game (Ekrix and Bell Kalengar), and when Dead Plate released on November 2023 it was when the studio made its official debut so over the two years my page I've gained a lot of followers so I thought continuing to keep my original page up would help in getting more traction to the newfound studio + I can slowly migrate the audience to the studio page, hope that clears things up!
