sketch page time, but make it medieval! I was messing around with a composition for a knight, and the blacksmith and the jester and also the lady (who is an assassin) were some early early early ideas for characters! someday they may even exist in a story that has a plot.

while I get commissions done, I’m going to throw some things into my queue and schedule a couple posts since I made a lot of text posts recently and I want to brighten the place up with art. do you guys want to see more Robin Hood/Medieval adjacent stuff, or perhaps. some video games fan art. I got Death Mark, Honkai Star Rail, and Thief fan art I can feed into the queue machine. Assassins Creed as well! tbh if it’s a video game I did fan art of before, I probably have more of it somewhere. there’s even js&mn in the vault! however. it got. very scribbly.

so my uncle got re admitted to the hospital, but not for heart attack/cardiac arrest reasons this time and will be getting released on monday (yay!)—

—& that means at long last: emails. I can finally send out updates and replies and type on a keyboard so I’m going to take the weekend to try and get through a bulk of the remaining commissions and also realign my spine

also I think gmail and google should burn in hell for letting promotional emails out of the promotions tab and into the main inbox

TRIKARANOS CHAPTER II: THRESHOLD (part 1)

TRIKARANOS is a dramatized narrative based on ancient events following Crassus (and Pompey and Caesar) through the years 87-48 BCE. Intended for an adult audience.

SO! Chapter 2 clocked in at over 20 pages, which means I'll be posting it in batches of like, five or six pages as I finish lettering because trying to format 20 pages in a single photoset is a nightmare and I'm not going to do that lmao

i'm new here so i apologize in advance if you have already answered this question but have you ever thought of writing a series or illustrating one/having a collab with a writer? i've seen some of your art and i have to say that it's different from anything else i've seen, not only by style but especially by the way you put your soul into it and analyze various works you're passionate about! in other words, i love it and i think you'd be great at creating even ampler works

in my pinned, I have links to all my original projects and stories! most of them are in are in various stages of In Progress (with things like Bad Governance being in it's third draft, and the Byzantine Empire ocs being in it's first), I'm just posting bits and pieces of them for fun while I write, but TRIKARANOS is a launched, ongoing webcomic that I update when I have the time :)

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead is an all time favorite! the film adaption too. a few years ago, there was a point where I was reading the play and watching the movie regularly enough that I could recite most of it off the top of my head lmao

another scene and some sketches of the fake byzantine empire ocs! thomas is a carpenter, john is a merchant. there's an emperor (two, actually) in here, looming ominously over everything.

(I call it the fake byzantine empire because the setting is playing with byzantine history that spans across three centuries, but it's also pulling from things like Statius' Thebaid and later medieval literature. folk catholic horror, probably. doctrinal debates and schisms are in here)

on the topic of nameless and unknown saints, tho, sometimes I think about this excerpt from an essay in Closet Queeries and the time I was on my way to Tanjay and saw an abandoned chapel along a road with a statue of a saint I didn't recognize inside
