I fucking hate the unsympathetic Patton trope.

People only make this a trope in fics because he shows signs of being selfish sometimes.

But guess who else shows signs of being selfish?

told my cabbie for the 3am airport trip that I was feeling a bit nauseous and he immediately took my bag away from me and said "Trip to the airport is 12 dollars. I'll drive slow." and then he did-- no fast corners, very gentle stops at the lights. and I was willing to pay the extra few dollars for it, but when the meter hit $12 he clicked stop and let me ride the rest of the way free. and it might just be the insanity of waking up at 2:30 after 4 hours of sleep but I was really emotional about it. You ever read literary analysis of a work you’re familiar with that’s so good that it makes you feel stupid. Like “oh. Yeah wow you’re right there was so much powerful symbolism and parallels and all that and I completely missed all of it”. And then I feel even stupider thinking “wow that author is so goddamn smart for thinking through everything like that, my basic surface level themes feel kind of embarrassing now ngl”

More Muppet Princess Bride fan art! I didn't feel a need to Muppetify this line at all, I feel like Piggy saying this and then cutting to Kermit's trademark eyes is funny enough. Hopefully ya'll agree!

I spent way too much time wondering if I should change "Farm boy" to "Farm frog" but farm boy just sounded better.

I intended to draw Kermit with the same expression Westley has in the film, but it's hard to resist giving Kermit at least a slight smile. So let's just say he's smiling because he genuinely appreciates Piggy's compliment.
