She also took lyrical inspiration from “the tragic heroines of pre-Raphaelite art, the gothic fiction of Carmen Maria Machado and Julia Armfield, the visceral wave of folk horror film from The Wicker Man and The Witch to Midsommar”.

the problem with “you don’t owe anyone else anything” is that what I think people first meant when they said it was “don’t apologize for existing, you do not owe others for tolerating you being alive especially if they are cruel to you” but what everyone online took it as “if someone in your life ever asks you for anything ever you should kill them”

the way people always dismiss gifmaking as something that needs time and effort really grates on me ngl...no if you want it to be pretty it's not as simple as running it through ezgif. I have several softwares and hundreds of gigs worth of videos downloaded and needed months to perfect my current colouring/sharpening technique just to make basic gifs. and I'm not even going to get into the effect-heavy gifs with blending etc because those almost never get me as many notes as my basic sets even if they took at least three times the time to make
