How did Neo Agent 3 end up reared by Salmonid?

I like to explore on the idea why animals would sometimes raise an entirely different species as one of their own. To that I can answer is that salmonids hunt other species eggs for food, but one salmonid (going on boss salmonid in the future) then found one of the inkling eggs hatched. Seeing its vulnerable state, it decided to raise her. Which took the clan a while in seeing her as one of their own.

They are two different beings. The gryphon bird is suppose to be based off gangles jovial side, while the mock turtle is based on gangles… true self? The melancholy one.
