Just sitting here thinking about Leon’s physique in RE4R in comparison to all of his other eras. Like Capcom really sat down and was like, “we’re upgrading the twink into a MEGA beefy boy fighting bisexual demons” for the remake and decided to make him so thick and broad like hello!?

Meanwhile Leon’s never really been scrawny or lanky, he’s kinda slim-thick. Like he has muscles and probably has nice shoulders and thick thighs, but he’s not beefy in the sense of looking like a power lifter. They said fuck all that and just gave Leon huge pecs and biceps in RE4R and he’s thick as hell. Like don’t get me wrong, I love his build and honestly the fact that he doesn’t have the classic dorito build but his waist still tapers in a bit is so…MMMMM FAWK!

He’s so…whew…I keep thinking about it. I honest to god want to take a tape measure and just see the distance from shoulder to shoulder and across his chest. He looks like he’d give good hugs, just consumes you whole and his chest is so inviting and warm. I need him…BAD!

Cleon Year June Prompts!

We've entered the sixth month of Cleon Year! I know I've already said that time is flying, but wow!

I've been watching The Quarry - a new narrative survival horror game - and I was pleasantly surprised to see that two of the ships in this story have very similar moments to Cleon scenes in Resident Evil.

The best part is that one of these ships is actually a canon couple and the other one was confirmed to have sexy sparks (sexual tension) between them.

Of course these are just tropes that many ships can use, but it's still nice to see parallels between Cleon and other ships in the survival horror genre 🥰

LEON BEING A MOVIE STAR-LEVEL OF HANDSOMNESS IS 10000000% CANON. COME ON! WE ALL KNOW IT

The reason why I invited people to ask me if they have any questions about RE's continuity or canonicity in my pinned intro post is because I know there's a lot of debate, wishful thinking, and confusion that are singlehandedly caused by the way Capcom handles the franchise's media. None of the answers are perfectly concise, which is why it can get confusing if you don't view canonicity through an objective lens.

Like, people wonder about the canonicity of the remakes and OGs and the answer is that they're both canon. It's just that they exist within different continuities as some story elements have been altered in the remakes. The CG films confuse people further because they don't understand that, for continuity's sake, they have/continue to be written with those original events in mind as they have always been made alongside the OG games, with the exception of ID and DI being made post-remakes.

Are the film novelizations canon? Yes and no. They're based on the story notes provided to the screenplay writer and they're canon only where the events are the same. The stories have been embellished to take the screenplays and make them the length of a novel. This is how film novelizations are written, regardless of who they're written by. Events in the novels are canonical where they match with the final product of the film. Small things like character descriptions or introspections (so long as they align with what's presented in the film) can be considered canonical, whereas changes to dialogue, scene elements, locations and any gratuitous fluffing for publication's sake are not.

I hate the debate of who would win in a fight between Jill or Leon because it always makes it an open field for male fans to be openly misogynistic and belittle Jill's abilities, especially on Tiktok (they are always commenting shit on any edit of both of them)

Whenever that discussion comes up people usually tend to look down on Leon tbh.

But eitherway, isn't Jill like a Super Human by now? Or, whatever. Leon will be having lower back pain for standing up too fast and Jill will still be kicking butts in 20 years from now.

And about who would win. Depends.

Is the Movie/Game Jill centered? She wins.

Is it Leon centered? He wins.

Is it better for the plot if Leon wins or Jill?

Jill in RE5 lost to Sheva and Chris. Why? Because she is weaker EVEN when mutated and all that jazz? No. She got defeated because the plot needed her to be defeated.

Leon is still a simple man, Jill can play dirty and kick him where it really hurts and She would be done with him lol
