Totally not just still riding the high of my last Newsies post, but: they take a trip to Santa Fe & Jack sets the world record for how long someone can talk non-stop.

the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
even though its the most stereotypical autism hobby i think david loves trains. and i mean every day after school if he isn't hurrying to get to the lodging house and meet up with all the boys to sell the evening edition he just heads for the train station instead. and he sits on a bench for a few hours, studying a train schedule nearby, maybe taking notes of each train that stops by and drawing it surprisingly well. sometimes a conductor asks whether david is waiting for a train or a family member to hop off one, but david just always simply says that no, he's only watching, and he mostly avoids looking into the conductor's eyes. sometimes jack tags along, even though david warns him that he may find it boring, but jack doesn't mind. at first he was kind of amazed at how entertained david was by just watching the giant steam vehicles roll by or whistle, but with time he began to understand. it wasn't that different from the way jack could read his favorite cowboy novel over and over again, in a way. what i mean is autism and adhd boyfriends
every so often i think about that one time newsies uk had to cut a delancey (bc that makes more sense then just canceling and giving ur cast easter off lmao weirdos) BUT because of that Snyder took jack down to the cellar….. keeps me up at night
Genuinely makes me want to barf thinking about all the broadway actors I used to look up to who haven’t said a single thing about the genocide of Palestinians
