F. What stories are you planning for the future?

I have a several page google doc of writing ideas lmao, most of which will probably never get written. For sure, though, I have two chaptered AUs planned. The first one I’m starting is called Off the Record and I hope to post the first chapter this month! The second one is an adaption to a romantic suspense book/thriller that I think could be a dream for malec and is very plot-heavy.

Other than that, I have my prompts I still need to write and a million and one ideas that seem to constantly be coming to me lol. I’m also wrapping up httbt and WBP in the next few months!

P. What are your pet peeves in other people’s work?

I dislike first person. I don’t like when there is miscommunication and when angst is unnecessary or drawn out. Alec isn’t overly emotional/immature and show Magnus is not the same character from the books– don’t douse him glitter and just have him drinking and wearing fishnets, waiting for alec to get home. Magnus is more powerful than we can even comprehend, please stop relegating him to alec’s lover and always available boyfriend. I can appreciate a crack fic but sometimes the story is just too OOC and it drives me up a wall and I gotta exit the tab. 

Other than that, I have a lot of stylistic mistakes that drive me up a wall and will make me not read a fic because I just can’t stand the writing lol.

U. Any stories that took a abrupt u-turn from where you thought they were going?

I have to say no, not really lol. With my one shots I just go where the story takes me and if I’m writing a multi-chaptered fic, which isn’t very often, I tend to outline pretty extensively. However, I will say that httbt has surprised me a couple times with how I envisioned the chapter turning out vs. what actually came out.

I tend to write in one sitting and so what I actually end up writing ends up moving smoothly than what I thought would work. For instance, I definitely didn’t plan on spending two chapters with Magnus in London but it’s what I ended up writing as a natural progression from the chapter before and it turns out that it really helped the plot/characters solidify their feelings! Httbt will turn out about 5 times as long as i first outlined lol but I think (hope) the story is smoother than I might have acheived just sticking to my outline!

Currently reading: Too much squid game fanfiction. and a book by a lawyer about his “worst” cases but it is hinestly quite boring.

Currently watching: We returned to Drag-Race All Stars Season 6 today since we havent’t finished it yet. And I want to catch up with  The Blacklist (I guess I am in season 6) tomorrow

Currently Consuming: I am mostly proof reading my own ff. does that count? Plus the casual criminalist on youtube, but i nearly caught up with everything.
