I really should get around to playing a dragonborn in dnd but I feel like the 5e dragonborn kinda sucks stat wise and I don’t like being restricted to 5 colors or 5 metals. WotC added the gem dragons but why can’t I have any style of anthro dragon with a breath weapon that I actually like for that character? Idk, I can never think of a good class to go with any dragonborn due to this roadblock.

as much as i encourage speaking up, i also don't want to give a flying duck about them anymore. y'know, like, i spoke up because i couldn't tolerate them and their behaviours anymore - couldn't just keep quiet when my mutuals are knowingly or unknowingly talking to shitty people like that. if they started a new blog, just let them. i don't really care anymore 😭 all i hope is that my mutuals and those that see this are more aware of internet safety and who you surround yourself with. it was already exhausting trying to warn others about them and not being listened to until i made this shit public — i'm not going to start becoming a blog that runs on discourse just so some can finally realise that this person was shitty and that person was the devil.

well, yeah i think that’s to be expected to some extent, especially since a lot of the fandom is young and impressionable. but i’m also of the mind that just because something is expected, doesn’t mean i can’t critique where i feel criticism is needed in my opinion

of course we enter fandom spaces knowing the gist of what we’ll find, but i think discussions like these are always healthy. meta discussions used to be encouraged in fandom, i don’t understand the shift away from that at all. i think its perfectly valid to share your thoughts based on your own observations and start a conversation, the same way you’re doing now. people will disagree, and people will agree; as long as it’s civil, i see no reason to perceive this exchange as an attack
