ex nerd! scientist! miguel o'hara x slutty! reader
part two here!
word count: 745
TW: smut, nsfw, d/s themes, mentions of pet play.
A/N: THIS IS INSPIRED BY @nymphomatique SO PLS CHECK THEIR ONE OUT!! their drabble rlly inspired me so i thought maybe i could add a little twist;) welcome to the club!
back in your college days, you were.. promiscuous, some would say. well, you were the biggest slut on campus. if your body count didn't say it all, then the rumours sure did.
you took chemistry, maths, physics and biology. you wanted to be a physics scientist, partially because of the thought of there being lots and lots of different universes, but mostly because the pay was brilliant.
miguel o'hara was your 'pet' back in your college days, per-say.
you used him for your homework, and in exchange you would fuck him, give him head, handjobs, you name it. you took miguel's virginity, and every bit of innocence he had left. he was totally smitten by you. i mean, a pretty, popular girl giving him attention no one ever did? sign him up.
miguel was the biggest loser you knew back then. he wasn't the most muscly, and he had those ridiculous black square glasses, and his outfits were shocking. he had a slight lisp due to his late braces, and his hair was far too long and he clearly struggled to maintain it. to keep it blunt, he wasn't cool at all. he was a loser, a simp, and a goody two-shoes. perfect as your little pet.
it wasn't until after graduation did you stop your little encounters. after leaving college, you blocked his number and left campus on the same day. you thought you'd never have to see that nerdy freak again. well, that's what they all say, right?
that was until you finally got a job at ALCHEMAX. you were a 'technological support scientist', which sounded smart but really all you got to do was watch all the better scientists do tests. you didn't mind, it did more then just pay your bills. hell, with the checks you're bringing in you could probably buy a new car in a few months!
you thought things were all sunshine and rainbows, until the thunder walked in. it's funny though, you didn't realise thunder looked like 6'9 tall and 310 pound of pure muscle and attractiveness. his braces were gone, his hair more clean and cut a little shorter, and his glasses just resting on top of his head, but you knew exactly who he was.
'm-miguel o'hara?!' you said, shocked. he turned around swiftly, looking down at you, before his eyes widened. 'y/n l/n?' he said, surprised. you both had become blushing messes. well, his glow up sure came after only 3 years.
'you.. work here?' you asked, absolutely awe-struck. 'i.. do. i am a technological scientist here. you work here too? why haven't i ever seen you around before?' he asked, intriuged. 'i-it's my first day here. you.. matured.' you said, clearly checking him out.
the man smirked. he actually smirked. the man who would whimper, begging to just get off on your shoe, smirked at you like he was in control. 'and you look as gorgeous as 3 years ago.'
your heart stopped. who was this man? this muscular, defined, confident, completely self aware man.. this wasn't miguel. there was no way.
'you..you're very different, miguel.' you said, a blushing mess. he chuckled, putting some latex gloves on. fuck, even his hands were attractive. 'well alot happens to a guy.' he says smoothly, his voice deeper. god this was going to be hard.
♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎♡︎♥︎
that very night, you were spread out on the bed, and you didn't recognise the man above you.
3 years ago, a scrawny desperate nerdy little boy was on his knees, as if you were a goddess. and now, that very man was on top of you, kissing your neck so skilfully, as if he's done this for years. his thrusts had rhythm, as he grinded along your g spot with ease, you let out a gasp and a breathy moan, as he shushed you.
'sh, bonita.. you've changed. where's that dominatrix you were back in college days? why are you so.. obedient?~' he whispered in your ear, as you moaned again.
'i-i think i-it's y-you that changed, m-miguel..' you breathily said in response, as he chuckled. 'oh no, sweetheart, i'm still the same loser that was begging on his knees for you. just now, i've learnt how to please you as well as me.' he said in response, his hands moving down from your breasts to your hips, his cock deep inside you as he grinded his hips as you felt every inch.
god, is this heaven?

Happy Wife Happy Life
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
pairing: Clarisse La Rue x fem!reader
summary: being Clarisse's "wife" will always have it's perks
a/n: honestly don't know how to feel about this but I'm tired. anyway, kinda hate the ending. and my writing lol.
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
Love is the greatest thing.
At least, in your eyes it is.
It can bring the strongest people to their knees, risking their lives or others lives just so that they can keep their person happy. It's always been amazing to you.
Not so much in your best friend Clarisse's. She'd much rather have the glory of being the strongest kid in school, or be feared by your classmates. "Love is stupid." She always tells you while she watches you study under the willow tree she likes climbing.
"No, it's not. It's powerful. You like powerful things don't you?" You'd say back with an airy laugh, then forcing her to come back down from the branches so you can help her with her math homework.
She's heard lots about the emotion called jealousy, but she'd never truly felt it until she saw Holly Bracken kiss your cheek during recess one day. The tightening of the chest, the way her throat went dry and she clenched her fist by her side from the other end of the black top and tried to stop herself from throwing the basketball in her hands towards the blonde girl's head. It wasn't a feeling Clarisse liked, and the feeling only went away when you were laying in her arms under the tree after school that day.
That warm afternoon, she'd asked you to marry her with a paper ring, one that you cherished for a whole week until it got caught in something and broke. You'd obviously said yes, the fact that you had a huge crush on her not exactly helping as you forced yourself to remember she was obviously kidding. Sealing the marriage with I do and then placing a chaste kiss on the back of your hand like she'd seen done in the romantic movies her mother likes watching, you were officially hers. As long as you were her wife, Holly Bracken could no longer kiss your cheek with that ugly smug smile.
She went on to make sure of that, introducing you as her wife to anyone and everyone that was willingly to listen. You two were young, and nobody took it quite seriously until she saved up almost a full year's allowance money to buy you a nice looking- but still cheap- promise ring from the jewelry store downtown. It was a silent promise, one that she eventually voiced as you were sleeping over at her house.
"I'll be with you forever." She'd whispered in your ear, and you foolishly believed her.
She was gone three weeks later.
You didn't get a phone call, an email, or even a letter. She just....disappeared.
Her family stopped answering the door for you, seemingly purposefully avoiding you in town. It was months before you finally gave up, and it was obvious to anyone that looked hard enough you were slowly becoming a shell of yourself without her. Without your girl.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The only thing in your life that is weirder than Clarisse's mysterious disappearance, was the fact that a boy just told you you're a child of one of the Greek gods. You couldn't believe him. You'd learned about the gods in school, but there was no fudging way they were real. You'd only finally agreed to go to some place called Camp Half Blood when he rolled up one of his pant legs to reveal furry goat legs. Nothing will ever be weirder than that.
Just in time too, because right after you left the school building and started sprinting towards the forest across from the place, some giant winged creature that no one else seemed to see crashed through a window and started flying towards you.
Your protector, someone you learned is a satyr named Joey, lead you to camp with minimal death, which you learned is very rare when it comes to leading a demi-god to camp. It didn't help with the newly installed fear inside you, but you just simply nodded along with what he was saying as your eyes scanned the crowds of campers that are doing their own thing below the hill you stand on.
The moment you step past what Joey calls Thalia's tree, all eyes are on you. A new camper means special events so they feel welcome which means more fun for the campers and the drama of figuring out who their godly parent is.
You don’t have any belongings other than the clothes on your skin and the school pencil that’s brought you a strange sense of comfort on your long trip. A female camper with blonde hair and gray eyes comes up and introduces herself as Annabeth, helping you to the “Hermes” cabin to give you a camp t-shirt and new pants. She explains all the new campers go there, at least until they get claimed, which means the kids in there are either children of Hermes, unclaimed, or new just like you.
Since everyone is gone doing daily activities, you decide to just change in the cabin. It’s peaceful, the sound of campers laughter, birds in the trees.
Your blissful silence is broken when someone tightly wraps their arms around you from behind you and lifts you up in the air with a squeal, your hands flying to cover your bra-covered chest. “What the hell?!” You scream, but the profanities you were going to yell out die down in your throat when the person sets you down and you turn around to see Clarisse.
She doesn’t look much different, her hair a little bit grown out and her band t-shirts and jeans have been replaced by camouflage pants and an orange camp half blood shirt similar to the one you’re trying to put on. You’re so starstruck that you just stare, her arms still loosely wrapped around your waist as you stand there in only a bra and jeans. “Clar?” She nods, grinning brightly as she pulls you into yet another hug.
You’re much more aware this time, pushing her away harshly as you hurry to put on the shirt and then leave the cabin with a quick roll of your eyes. The curly haired girl is hot on your tail, attempting to grab your wrist to stop you before you pull it away as if she’s burned you. Her face is full of hurt, but your voice shows the same amount as you ask, “Why didn’t….why didn’t you call? Or email? Or-or send me a fucking letter? Just to let me know you were okay? That you came here.”
She sighs, eyes full of regret as they fall to look at her doc martens so she doesn’t have to see your sadness. “I couldn’t call you because a phone call is like sending a message out to any monsters that could be listening and find out where we are. Email, I don’t have any electronics cuz of the whole call thing.”
“And letter? I bet monsters don’t know how to read Clar.” The girl is silent for a minute, and as the silence continues is when you realize she doesn’t have an answer for you. You scoff, beginning to walk to who knows where again before she runs to catch up with you.
“I’m sorry, okay? I was scared. Gods, I was scared.” The worlds tumble out of her mouth before she can stop them, and the campers around you fall silent as they stare with mouths agape in shock.
“Scared? What’s there to be scared of? It’s just me.” She nods, wordlessly reaching out to hold your hand. You let her this time and she feels relief flood through her. “Scared. I was scared….scared that you would hate me for leaving. I mean, what kind of woman leaves her wife?” She attempts a small laugh, and she takes it as a win that the corners of your mouth twitch upwards in the start of a smile. “I promised you forever and then left without another word. You had been looking at me through rose colored glasses our entire lives, I was scared those glasses were shattered. It’s not an excuse though. I should’ve sent you a letter, told you I was okay and told you how much I missed you.”
A small smile works its way onto your face, but she can still see the sadness in your eyes and she hates it. She hates it when you're sad. “Come here angel.” The girl hesitantly pulls you into her arms, almost crying when you relax into her hold and hug her back before she remembers where you guys are and how many campers are staring in shock at how sweet she’s acting.
“You have to understand that I’m still mad Clar. Even if you were scared, I spent years living in fear you were dead.” You mumble against her shoulder as you grip onto her like she’s going to disappear again if you let go.
The girl nods in agreement, cradling your head to her chest as she glares at the campers in an attempt to get them to leave you two alone. They do it.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Clarisse brings you to her cabin, cuddling with you in her bed as she tells you anything and everything that has happened over the past. She’s a child of Ares, and you spend several minutes that it makes sense after the amount of times she threatened other kids by saying she should hang them from the top of the flagpole.
By dinner time, it’s like no time has passed, and everyone’s eyes are on you as you two walk in with her arm casually placed on your around the back of your waist as she leads you to her table where her siblings are trying not to make fun of her. After a lot of begging and threats, Chiron agreed to let you sit at the Ares table for your first week at camp. “Hey guys.” Her happy tone is a rare one around her by the look on their faces, the smile even rarer as she sits you down next to her spot on the bench. “This is my wife.”
The whole room goes silent, all eyes trained on you as your eyes dart up to stare at her. “What are you-” She cuts you off with amusement dancing in her brown eyes.
“What do you want to eat, honey?” Clarisse asks you, and a son of Ares you know as Mark scoffs before he says, “The last time I asked you to get me food, you poured your drink in my lap and told me it wasn’t your job.”
The smile falls from your friend's face as she glares at him. “That’s because it isn’t my job.”
“Then why are you getting her food?”
“Because a happy wife equals a happy life alright? Now shut the fuck up.”
The smile is back as she turns to face you again, taking your order before she leaves to get that and her own food.
The rest of the campers go back to their meals, though they’re clearly gossiping about Clarisse’s supposed wife as they eat. It doesn’t make you feel very happy, but all the doubt is gone as your girl comes back and sits down next to you, setting the food down before her hand falls to hold your hand under the table the way she used to during lunch at school.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
A little bit later, you finish eating and join in the group of campers leaving the dining hall towards the campfire with Clarisse walking beside you. “My legs hurt.” You mumble while leaning closer to her. She doesn’t miss a beat as she picks you up bridal style, casually carrying you to the bonfire like you weigh absolutely nothing. Smiling at the sound of your laughter, she sets you down on one of the logs surrounding the fire. “What was that for? I could’ve walked.” You say as she sits down next to you before pulling you into her lap.
“What kind of wife would I be if I let you walk around while in pain?” She grins before leaning her head on your shoulder. She seems happy, and you recently learned she hasn’t felt that way in a very long time so you simply smile before leaving a kiss on her forehead. Her fingers lace with yours, her thumb caressing the back of your hand as she talks to her brother. It’s like no time has passed. Although you’re still upset, it’s nice to have her again.
Clarisse makes you guys some smores, a few people coming up every once and a while to introduce themselves and your friend introduces you the same way every time; “This is my wife.” By the time you’re making your way to the Hermes cabin with her walking by your side like a bodyguard, everyone in camp is aware of the “marriage”.
“I wish you could come stay in the Ares cabin.” She mumbles into the crook of your neck on the porch of Hermes cabin, and you chuckle while rubbing circles on her back. “I think you annoyed Chiron enough for one day.”
The daughter of Ares sighs, reluctantly nodding as she gives you a gentle squeeze before walking away. You watch her walk to her cabin for a few seconds, a permanent smile on your face before you walk inside your crowded cabin.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
The next morning, it’s time for you to join in the routine of chores and training. It seems tiring, but Clarisse is by your side to help you with anything and everything so it’s okay.
“You’re getting better, hon.” She repeats for the 100th time in an hour, and your trust in her words is slowly fading as you sling the sword in your hands awkwardly towards the dummy covered in greek armor in front of you. The girl seems to notice your mood dropping, so she sighs and then stands up and walks towards you. You think she’s going to tell you to take the armor off just stop trying, but you shouldn't have. Clarisse was never one to tell you to give up on something. Instead, she places her hands on your hips, brown eyes straying from your face as she gently moves your body until you're standing in the correct way. You feel like clay under her grip, simply allowing her to position you as your face scans her features.
It’s like something pulling you to lean in, and it’s only when you're inches away from her face do you realize she is leaning in too. As if realizing where you are and what you guys are doing, she clears her throat and backs away, her hands following to rest at her sides. “There. Try again.” She begins to awkwardly walk away, her confidence gone as she almost trips over some armor left on the floor by another camper.
You nervously laugh, taking a deep breath before you slash the sword forward again. The sword feels much more natural in your hand, and it’s almost like an instinct as you angle it so it hits the unprotected parts so it cuts open the material.
Your friend cheers, rushing over to you and easily lifting you off the ground like you just won the olympics. Clarisse has always been that way, proud of every thing you could ever do. With a small laugh, you thank her and finally get her to set you down. “Well done wifey.” The words flow out of Clarisse’s mouth like they’re the most natural thing, and you fake an annoyed sigh.
“You know I’m not your wife right?” You say with a laugh, but she clearly doesn’t find it very funny.
“Then what's this?” Her hand moves to grab your hand, holding it up in front of your face and you try to ignore the way butterflies explode in your stomach from the touch as her eyes lock on yours. With rose colored cheeks- you decide to blame it on the heat and not the feeling of her hand in yours- you finally take notice of what she’s talking about; the ring she bought you when you were kids, snuggly placed on your left hand ring finger. It was a bit too big when you guys were younger, but it fits basically perfectly now.
“It’s a promise ring.” You mumble, walking away to take off the armor and put away the sword. “It’s the closest thing to a wedding ring I could get. And besides, red is my favorite color, the jem is red. It’s basically me, in a ring.” “I didn’t understand a single thing you just said.”
Clarisse sighs, wrapping her arms around your waist from behind the same way she did your first day at camp- though this time she doesn’t lift you up. “Sorry. Let me summarize. You’re my wife, and that is your ring.” You chuckle, turning around in her arms and trying not to think about the way you’re so close you can feel her warm breath on your face. “Fine. I’m your wife.” She takes the win, leaving a chaste kiss on your cheek before she makes her way out of the training grounds to go wash up for lunch.
This girl is gonna be the death of you.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
That night, Clarisse sneaks into the Hermes cabin. She’s used to sneaking out, but she’s never had a reason to sneak into this specific cabin and she almost bursts out laughing when she gets through the window and almost steps on a kid laying on a sleeping bag on the floor.
She easily manages her way through the sleeping kids to get to your bunk in the corner, cringing every once and a while when floor boards creek. You’re awake, staring at the wall and you reach under your pillow to grab a dagger Annabeth gave you when someone puts a hand on your shoulder and tries to shake you away so you can hold it up against their neck.
“Why the hell do you have a knife to my throat?” Clarisse quietly squeaks out, and you sigh in relief before putting the weapon back under your pillow for safe keeping. “I just…I’m sorry.” You think about telling her about the nightmare you were having not even ten minutes ago, but it looks like she’s already aware of it as she sends you knowing eyes.
“You can make it up to me by following me.” One look into her pleading eyes is all you need to reluctantly agree, and she helps you out of the window and then onto her back so she can carry you to the surprise she set up in the forest.
The sight makes you want to grin and cry at the same time; it’s a picnic set on the cliff overlooking the waterfall you told her was your favorite part of camp, all your favorite foods from the outside world placed accordingly on the blanket. There are little lanterns placed all over, lighting up this specific part of the woods. You can clearly see the stars, one of your favorite things, and the cozy feeling of the date-like setting goes against the summer breeze of the night.
“So? What do you think?” Clarisse nervously asks as you look around in awe. “I….I love it Clar.” You reply, pulling her into a tight hug. “How’d you get all these foods?” You quest with a grin. She innocently shrugs, but she’s got a mischievous look in her eyes that only appears when she does something bad. She won’t tell you that she snuck out of camp the same way she snuck out of her cabin to go to the mortal world, sneaking back in a throwing herself into a bush when Mr. D almost caught her.
She sits down on the blanket, patting the spot next to her and then pulling you into her lap when you sit down. “This is so nice….but why?” “Why?” “Why’d you do it?”
Clarisse chuckles; “Because my wife deserves best.” There it is again, the phrase that brings a blush to your face no matter how many times you hear it. “Well, thank you.” She nods, grabbing a chocolate covered strawberry and taking a hesitant bite before humming in satisfaction. “That’s really good.”
You two spend the rest of the night talking and giggling as you cuddle up to her and eat the delicious foods, and by the end of the night you’re lying with your head in her lap as she runs her fingers through your hair. “One day,” She starts, leaning down to kiss your forehead before she continues speaking; “I’m gonna marry you for real.”
With a small laugh, you nod, staring into her brown eyes as you sigh. “I’m okay with that.” You whisper, and for a second it seems like she’s leaning down again. It’s proven she is when her lips connect with yours. Her lips are slightly chapped since she always forgets to put on chapstick before she leaves the cabin, but that doesn’t matter as she’s kissing you like she’s been starved for years. Technically, she has been.
She pulls away, watching with a nervous smile as you attempt to catch your breath and stare up at her in awe. “Was that-was that okay?” You slowly nod, sitting up and then turning to face her before you grab her face in your hands and kiss her once again. She seems surprised, but she quickly adapts as her hands move to your hips and firmly grip them.
“I’ve been wanting to do that since the day you agreed to be my wife.” She whispers as she pulls away and leans her forehead on your own. You giggle, giving her a quick kiss in between love sick giggles. “Me too.”
She begins to talk again, but the sound of hooves galloping near and a loud voice calling out, “Who's there?!” makes her panic. Chiron. You panic as well, and you both messily pick up the empty plates and blanket, shoving it all in the basket and taking your hand in the one that isn't holding the basket.
The galloping is getting closer, and you both begin to run back into the forest- on the way back to camp but still in the opposite direction of Chiron.
You both begin to laugh as you almost trip over a branch, and you have to bite your lip and hold a hand over Clarrise's mouth so Chiron won't hear.
You eventually make it back to the cabins, and you both slow down to a light jog as you near the Hermes cabin. She brings you back to the still open window, and helps lift you up into the slightly cold room. You take off your shoes, and are about to wish her a goodnight and go to bed when you turn around to see her lips playfully puckered.
You chuckle, walking back to the window and giving her a small peck on the lips. “Goodnight Clar. and thank you for a wonderful night.” She smiles. “It was only wonderful because you were there. Goodnight angel.” With that, she leaves towards her own cabin, and you're left staring at her leave with a love sick smile and look in your eyes.
At the edge of the forest, Chiron watches the sweet goodnight with a small smile. “Well I'll be damned….Clarisse La Rue is a softy.” He begins walking to his own cabin with a content sigh. “But they better not sneak out again.”

Adrinette April Day 16 (What If) + Secret Bonus AU Pitch
The Miraculous Jazz Ensemble (What if... Band Kids?)
Five minutes and forty seconds. Five minutes and forty seconds. That was how long it took Marinette to work up the courage to ask Adrien. She wasn't counting the half-hour during lunch, the odd few minutes during every passing period, or even the days since she'd thought of asking, because those had technically all failed. All she ever really needed were those five minutes and forty seconds.
Marinette approached Adrien, who was currently immersed in his homework. He'd been taking accelerated math classes this year, breezing through calculus and a bunch of other theorems and rules that Marinette could never wrap her head around just yet, and he had a habit of working on his calc homework whenever he could just to pass the time. Chewing on the end of his pen, too.
Marinette sat down next to him; He didn't seem to notice her. She scooted closer—once, twice, not a third time. Just enough distance to not break out into a ball of sweat
"Whatcha doin'?" she asked, trying to look cool. If she'd failed (and she sure felt like she did) Adrien didn't seem to notice.
"Integrating by parts!" Adrien smiled, closing his textbook. "It's fascinating, really." He then opened his mouth as if he was going to explain the concept, but he stopped, thinning his lips. "What are you doing?"
Marinette, as always, responded with nervous laughter. "U-uhm, just sitting here!" she said, grinning back. "Hanging out with my best buddy!" ...She wanted to kick herself in the butt for saying that out loud. Way to friendzone yourself, Marinette.
For a moment, as the lack of conversation topic set in for the both of them, Marinette realized that she might, again, need another five minutes. But she didn't have those five minutes anymore, and if she was going to ask Adrien she needed to ask him now.
"Are you, uh— Are you free on Friday?" she asked, unable to look him in the eye. Her fingers couldn't decide on how to link together, her hands fidgeting in something similar to somersaults, over and under and over again. She let herself glance quickly at Adrien to make sure he hadn't dissipated into thin air; There he was, cute as ever, the afternoon sunlight making it seem like his hair was glowing."
"I am," he replied. "Why?"
Oh, god, oh god, now it sounded like she was asking him on a date! And if she made it sound like that then everybody else would think it was a date, and if people started to think that her and Adrien were dating she'd barely be able to concentrate ever again! C-cause then they might hold hands or sit next to each other at lunch or—
"You do band! Yes!" she exclaimed, falling back on the bench somewhat. "Th-that is a thing we both do!"
"Marinette, we're in the same band class. We're in one of the only band classes."
"Y-yes. And, uhm— I was just wondering if.. you'd like to..."
She glanced at Adrien. Then the floor. His textbook. Adrien again. Everywhere else in the world.
"...Join a jazz ensemble with me."
Adrien raised his eyebrows, surprised by the sentiment. He placed his textbook beside him on the bench, turning in towards Marinette more.
"I didn't know we had a jazz department."
"W-well, we don't yet," Marinette stammered. "Mr. E told me he's been working on it for years, and he encouraged me to ask around t-to see who was interested. Alya is interested, and so is Nino, so I thought it'd only be fair if I asked you, too."
As if he knew exactly what would catapult her heart into orbit, Adrien took one of her hands in his, staring her down.
"Marinette," he said. "This is serious. Do you really think we're ready for this?"
"ACK-!" She pushed him away, worried that if he was too close he'd be caught in the blast radius a sudden heart explosion. It was clear by the way he was giggling that he meant it as a joke, but that didn't make her any less flustered. "You're so mean, Adrien!"
"Sorry, sorry. I am honored, though. So what's Friday?"
"Friday is the interest meeting. Mr. E wanted to make everything as official as possible. ...That's also when we'll see if we have enough people for a full band, rather than just an ensemble." Marinette fidgeted again, now feeling like she was again far too close to Adrien for it to be friendly. "Y-you don't have to do it, though."
"I mean, if it's another chance to see you, I wouldn't mind," he replied. "I'll be there Friday. I'm assuming after school."
oh sweet baby jesus he couldn't just say things like that out loud. holy cow. wow.
"Awesome!" Like a total dork, Marinette gave Adrien a double-thumbs-up. Now that he'd said yes, she needed to get out of there before she made an even bigger fool of herself. "I, uh— I have to go! ...And, uh. Do some things," she said, standing up so fast it gave her a head rush. "See you tomorrow!"
'If it's another chance to see you', 'another chance to see you'. She'd be thinking about that for the rest of her life, maybe. 'Another chance to see you', and he wouldn't mind. He maybe even would like it.
Seven minutes and one second, seven minutes and two...

Gotta say, when Jacksfilms teased his Shrek 3 is the worst Shrek video, I was nervous, because Shrek 3 isn’t the worst. It’s not really that good of a movie by any means, but it’s quite a bit better than Shrek 4. But I’m gonna share my thoughts on the video anyway, in completely nonchronological order.
Jack starts the video off by saying that Shrek 3 is superfluous and yeah, that’s true. Arthur, Merlin and all the rest of the cast don’t feature at all in parts of Shrek 4 you’d expect them to be, so no characters are really retained and none of the events are acknowledged in 4. But then Shrek 4 is even more superfluous, thanks to the fact that most all of the film erases itself from existence after it happened. Shrek is the only character for whom something is different.
Shrek 3 at least gives us Fergus, Farkle and Felicia, and I disagree with Jack’s sentiment that you could cut out Shrek 3 and just have the baby montage in Shrek 4 and that’d be enough. I think the development Shrek goes through in 3 in order to come to terms with the idea of being a father is vital to his character in a world where he has kids, else the parenthood doesn’t really seem significant at all. Shrek 3 also established Shrek as having had an abusive father, which plays into his doubt of how good an ogre parent could truly be. It’s an interesting thing to do with the character, and one of the things I actually appreciate in Shrek 3. Remove the Shrek 3 angle, and Shrek as a father isn’t a concept we find remotely interesting.
Another of Jack’s sentiments I disagree with is the notion that using Charming as the villain was lazy, and that Rumpelstiltskin was a much better villain. I think using Charming as the villain was actually the opposite of lazy. As, well, charming as he is in Shrek 2, we don’t really get to see him do too much. Seeing himself try to take charge of his situation in 3, and actually succeed at getting the villains on his side was, again, charming. Plus, he has a lot of good comedic moments in 3. 3 expands on the character of Charming, I don’t see how it could be lazy in that aspect. Rumpelstiltskin’s not that bad, but he’s kind of just worse than every other villain. He has some funny moments here and there, and he takes the narrative in a decently interesting albeit somewhat poorly executed direction, but there’s not that much to his actual character. His motives aren’t really any more complicated than “I’m the big bad!” and while that’s true of the very first villain, Farquaad, Farquaad at least had charm and wit to him, as well as a more interesting character in general than Rumpelstiltskin ever gets.
Too many characters in 3 is a sentiment I’m mixed on. I don’t mind the princesses that much, Shrek’s always had some likeable and quirky characters that don’t really mean much in the grand scheme of things. The big bad wolf isn’t being praised for his wonderfully written character arc because he doesn’t have one, but we like him anyway. The princesses should be okay by this same logic, but then they’re all sort of… meh. Cinderella is forgettable as hell and has no personality to speak of, the joke with Sleeping Beauty got old fast, and Rapunzel is hard to care for too. Her betraying the rest of the gang to be with Charming wasn’t an interesting angle for either character, and kind of detracts from the otherwise all great Charming in this movie. Snow White is the only one I really liked because she was sassy and I liked her style, but she still pales in comparison to the likes of Pinocchio or Gingy.
Arthur is… an interesting character. I don’t really think he himself is all that interesting or funny, and he honestly doesn’t provide Shrek with much development either, even if the narrative tries to make it look like he did. And yet, Arthur takes on such a prominent role in the movie. The thing about Arthur is that he plays into the aforementioned superfluous nature of this film. The film would change if you removed him, yeah, because he’s supposed to become King of Far Far Away in place of Shrek, but he still manages to feel inconsequential, perhaps because he’s never acknowledged outside of this film. Arthur’s kinda just forgettable, and the way the narrative shifts around him, and his two scenes of large public speeches, they feel just feel unnatural, failing to be heartwarming like they’re so obviously supposed to be.
I liked Merlin though, he was a funny take on the actual character of Merlin and he had some of the best lines in the film, lines which Shrek provided even funnier replies to. So I can appreciate Merlin in that regard.
So yeah, Shrek 3’s characters aren’t the best, but they’re leagues above Shrek 4’s. As I mentioned before, Rumpelstiltskin isn’t all that great, but he’s not the only one. One of the main opposing threats in Shrek 4 is the Pied Piper, who has absolutely no character to speak of and no charm or likeable aspects either. All of the ogres in the Resistance are the most forgettable characters in the franchise, even Gwen, the high school girl that Arthur had a crush on in Shrek 3, is more memorable than these bastards.
The main draw in Shrek 4 is that because of the alternate universe setting, we can see characters we know and love taken in entirely new directions, but this concept is woefully underutilised.
Donkey isn’t different. At all. His personality and character are the exact same, with the only difference being that he’s weirded out by the fact that Shrek knows him, even though he sees Shrek as a stranger. But that’s not character, that’s just what’s to be expected of this setting.
Puss is pretty bad too. He’s also the same character but he’s a little more lax and a lot more fat. That’s it. His new personality is that he’s sort of mellow.
Fiona is the only character for whom they actually try something with in this alternate universe concept, because her personality in this new setting is actually different. Fiona effectively got sick of waiting to be rescued and escaped from the tower herself and, sick of the discrimination she faces in her ogre form and that ogres all over face in general, she takes on the role of leader of the Resistance. But this huge leadership role isn’t really great for her character. Fiona is bossy and commanding, sure, but not an expert military tactician. We know she’s a fighter, and Shrek 3 demonstrates that she can even be a fairly strategic one at that, but large scale military operations? There isn’t enough going on that really indicates she’d be so capable. Even if we are to believe that she was that capable though, it doesn’t really mean anything anyway. All of these ogres are so impossibly hard to care for that Fiona’s efforts are hard to care for just by extension. We see these nameless ogres being used as literal slaves at one point, but we don’t feel sorry for them, we just don’t care. Farquaad saying “it’s hideous” in reference to Shrek is a line that feels more discriminatory than literal slavery, all because Shrek 1 actually made us care about our ogres. Plus, the dynamic between Shrek and Resistance!Fiona doesn’t really work at all, especially compared to the relationship that Shrek develops with the real Fiona in Shrek 1. She’s just too drastically different for it to work, and their relationship isn’t really developed in a natural and believable way. When Resistance!Fiona falls in love with Shrek, it doesn’t make us as an audience feel happy that we’re getting closer to the true timeline, it just feels shallow and uninteresting, lazy even.
But still, even with Fiona being a pretty different and cool in concept albeit worse than the original character version of herself in this setting, it doesn’t mean anything. It’s literally a “what if?” scenario. When the movie ends with Shrek returning to his original timeline, the real Fiona hasn’t changed – she’s had literally no development this entire film. Nobody other than Shrek has, and I’m mixed on his development, though I’d need to rewatch 4 to comment more on that particular topic.
Also, 4’s so full of weird little details that I don’t really understand. Fiona’s parents sign away Far Far Away to Rumpelstiltskin so that Fiona’s curse is broken, meaning Rumpelstiltskin gets the kingdom. Expectantly enough, the kingdom turns to shit, but then, the degree to which it turns to shit just seems unrealistic. The world in Shrek 4 is less like The Elder Scrolls and more like Fallout, and I really don’t get how it got that bad. Shrek’s swamp is a dead tree in a dead wood that’s in completely flat terrain. The swamp shouldn’t look great obviously, Shrek was never there to really turn it into a home, but how did the entire wood die out? There are other unanswered questions too. How did Rumpelstiltskin’s witches manage to capture Dragon? Why does Rumpelstiltskin command these witches anyway? How can Rumpelstiltskin’s contracts fuck with the spacetime continuum? What’s with the fucking ear trumpet thing? Why the fuck did they genuinely pull the “rearrange the big letters in the contract and make some origami to show a new contract” thing? It wasn’t a new contract, for the record, but you know. I could go on, but I’ve been at this for over an hour and a half and I think you get the point.
Jacksfilms stated in his video that Shrek 3 is garbage and should be stricken from Shrek canon, a notion I mostly disagree with. Jacksfilms stated in his video that Shrek 4 is an underrated classic, a notion I disagree with even more than the first statement. I know that Jack’s a comedian obviously, and the video was full of jokes, but as he made clear in his daily vlog series on jackisanerd, this video actually has some truth to it. This video has joking aspects, but it’s clear enough that his opinions are legitimate. And I think they’re wrong.
TL;DR Shrek 3 > Shrek 4 and Jacksfilms is an idiot.

WANDA X READER - 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU - Final
Gif is not mine.
Summary: Pietro Maximoff is handsome and popular, but he can’t date before his twin sister. The problem is that no one can get close to his sister, Wanda Maximoff. To resolve the situation, a girl interested in Pietro bribes a colleague with a mysterious past to go out with Wanda and, who knows, try to win her over. Or The one directly inspired by 10 Things I Hate About You.
Words: 11,620K (Complete) /// Read on AO3 too || Part I
Warnings: PG, fluff, language.
She doesn't answer your messages during the weekend. So you don't press her. But then you are on the field, in physical education period, and she is practicing.
You sit on the bleachers, trying to focus on the math homework you needed to finish, when Monica joins you on the bench.
- Hey, girl. - She says hello as she sits down. And noticing your gaze shifting from the notebook to Wanda, she comments. - What happened between you two?
You sighed angrily.
- I did the right thing. - You comment with irony, but seeing Monica's frown in confusion, you add. - She wanted to kiss me after the party. I refused because she was drunk.
- But the plan was working! - said Monica.
- So what, you called the whole thing off.
Monica giggled, and raised her eyebrows slightly.
- Yeah, I know, but it was...it was before what happened. - She said, and you looked at her with confusion. - Pietro kissed me.
You blink and then laugh, shaking your head. And then Bruce comes to join you two.
- I just talked to Wanda. - He says. - Look, she said she hates you with the intensity of a thousand suns.
You let out a dry laugh, running your fingers through your hair.
- Thank you Bruce, that's very comforting to hear. - You tell him wryly, and he nods uncomfortably.
- Maybe she needs a day to calm down. - Monica says, and the three of you look toward the field, where Wanda was training veritably.
- Maybe two days. - You comment as you watch her knock a girl down.
//-//
You managed to fix most of your motorcycle. And then you found out that your mother punctured the tires, and you stormed angrily into her room.
- Have you completely lost your mind? - You shouted, and she just took off her glasses and crossed her legs while looking at you. - You slashed the tires on my motorcycle?
- I told you that you were grounded.
- That's ridiculous! - you say. - You don't have the slightest respect for my things.
- Don't talk to me that way. - She warned, and you let out a wry laugh.
- Be damn sure that when my bike is up and running, I'm out of here!
You shout before leaving the room, slamming the door.
You were coming out of geography class when Pepper Potts came to talk to you again.
She pulled you into a far corner behind the closet, and held out a hundred dollars to you.
- Take her to prom. - She said. - It's all here, limousine, clothes.
She pushed the money in your hands, but you pushed it back.
- I'm done with this game, Potts. - You retorted, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
You started to turn to leave, but Potts stepped in front of you.
- Hey, hey, wait. - She asked, and then pulled three more bills from her purse. - Three hundred dollars, okay? Come on, it's just a date.
You swallowed dryly as you accepted, trying to push to the back of your mind how wrong it was. And Potts smiled mischievously, then left.
//-//
You went back to the same record store in front of the laundry room where you found Wanda that other day. And you tried not to be so nervous.
Looking around, you found her walking around the shelves, and she was admiring a guitar. You put your hands in your pockets as you watched her put on the headphones and try the instrument, sitting down on one of the stools in the store.
You moved closer, and could see her reflection in the mirror a few feet away, but Wanda didn't see you, as her eyes were closed while her fingers danced on the guitar strings.
You smiled at the image, she looked so peaceful and comfortable. You couldn't disturb her. So you just left the store.
//-//
You saw Wanda again the next day. You didn't give up talking to her, and ended up going to the only bookstore in town that you knew sold the poetry that Wanda liked to read according to the list Monica had given you.
And while you were browsing the shelves, you found her looking distractedly at a stack of books. You walked over to her, following her across the opposite shelf, and when the shelf was over, you ended up in front of each other.
- Excuse me, miss. I'm looking for an Avengers comic book, have you seen any around? - You joked, but Wanda didn't smile, looking annoyed.
- What are you doing here?
- I hear you like poetry. - You answer and she sighs impatiently.
- You're so...
- Charming? - You interrupt with a smile, Wanda rolls her eyes as she walks away from you. - wholesome?
- Inopportune. - She says irritated. You bite your lip and walk toward her.
- You're not as mean as you think. - You tell her.
- And you're not as bad-ass as you think you are.
- Oh, someone still has her panties in a twist.
- Don’t for one minute think that you had any effect whatsoever on my panties.
You let out a smug chuckle.
- And where did I provoke?
- You provoked my vomit, nothing more. - She retorts, then grabs a comic book from the stack of books in front of her and slaps it against your chest, walking away.
You stare at the Avengers comic book in your hand for a few minutes before handing it back, completely impressed by the dialogue.
//-//
At break time, the day after your argument with Wanda, Monica and Bruce approach you in the snack line.
- She's still mad at me, people. - You tell them as you put some noodles on your tray.
- Look, you embarrassed her, you need to apologize. - Monica said and you frowned.
- I'm not going to apologize for not taking advantage of her drunken state! - You retort. - It's not my fault she's stubborn, and would rather be angry than admit she's wrong.
You finish your lunch and get out of line, Bruce and Monica follow you to the table. They don't sit with you, but watch you sit next to Carol at one of the circular tables.
- Come on, Y/N, try to think of something to please her. - Bruce says, and you roll your eyes.
- You can sing your apologies. - Mocks Carol from beside you, making you laugh. But then Bruce and Monica have serious expressions and you frown.
- Not a chance! - You warn them, but they are already letting out excited exclamations.
Carol starts laughing next to you.
- I have the perfect idea! - Monica says. - You can sing a romantic song in front of the whole school! Any girl would love it.
- I'd kill anyone who did that to me. - Carol mumbles humorously, and you laugh.
- Can I at least finish my lunch in peace? - you say, and Monica and Bruce nod in agreement. You point to the free chairs at your table, and they are very happy to sit with you.
//-//
And then you ended up outside the school again. After infiltrating the upper booth of the soccer field and getting a microphone and access to the outside speakers. You also had to pay the band guy, but you figured it was only worth it.
- You're just too good to be true. - You sang into the microphone as you walked out of the booth toward the stands. Your voice echoing across the field - Can't take my eyes of you. - You continued as you walked. All the students were looking around trying to figure out where the voice was coming from. - You'd be like heaven to touch. I wanna hold you so much. At long last love has arrived. And I thank God I'm alive - You sing and finally become visible to the people in the field. - You're just too good to be true. - You look for Wanda in the crowd in the distance, and sing the last part while looking and pointing at her. - Can't take my eyes of you.
And then the band starts playing, and you follow the beats, continuing to sing the song, as the crowd claps their hands and enjoys your performance.
You keep looking at Wanda throughout the song, and even as the security guards pull you off the field, you see that she is blushing, and smiling.
//-//
You end up in detention after hearing from Principal Harkness that she was impressed that you did romantic acts, and you laughed before leaving the office.
And then Professor Thanos was walking around the detention room, and stopped at the desk next to yours.
- You look nervous. - He said to the student who was sitting down.
- A little bit sir.
- You are sweating like a pig. - said Thanos.
- Yes sir. - agreed the frightened boy.
- Your eyes are red. - He said.
The boy nodded nervously, looking down at the table.
- You have pot, don't you? - said Thanos angrily, and the boy turned pale. - Hand it over right now.
After confiscating the boy's weed, Thanos walked back around, and then the door opened. You raised your head when you heard Wanda's voice.
- Professor Thanos, may I speak with you please? - she asked, entering the room and walking towards the man.
- What can I do for you, Miss Maximoff?
- I have some ideas for improving the team. - She says.
- Great! But we'll talk about them later. - Thanos replies with a serious expression, and as he looks across the room, Wanda looks at you, and quickly signals the window of the room. You blink in confusion, and when she whispers "window," Professor Thanos turns to her again.
- As you know, we have an important match against the Panthers coming up. - She starts to say, clearly trying to distract the man. You rush to gather your backpack and sneak out of his field of vision. - Wow, your muscles are huge! - She comments with a false sweetness in her voice, pulling the professor along and enabling you to run behind one of the pillars. The floor is very noisy and Wanda is trying to keep the man distracted by talking about match tactics, and when you finally reach the window, there is a metallic clatter and you think Thanos is going to see you, but then Wanda is pulling you by the arm again, and lifting up her own blouse.
The whole room makes a celebratory buzz and you try not to blush at the image of Wanda's exposed breasts, hurrying out, around the building on the fire escape and out the side.
//-//
It takes a while, but Wanda joins you.
- I can't believe you showed your breasts to a professor. - You remark with a laugh when she arrives.
- I can't believe you sang in front of the school. - She replies with a smile.
You shift the weight of your feet, staring at the ground for a second.
- Do you want to do something now? - you ask, and Wanda smiles as she nods.
You sneak off the school grounds, avoiding being seen by any security or teachers.
You end up in the city park, on the pedal boats in the middle of the sea.
- I can't stop thanking you for getting me out of detention. - You say with a smile as you pedal along together. - That was really nice.
- No problem.
You are silent for a moment, before you decide to ask her what she wants to know.
- What is your excuse?
- For what? - she asks confused.
- For behaving the way you do.
- I don't like to do what everyone expects. - She says. - Why should I meet other people's expectations and not my own?
- So you disappoint from the start, and then you don't have to worry?
She smiles lightly impressed.
- Yeah, something like that.
You nod, looking away.
- So you failed.
- How so?
- You've never disappointed me. - You confess, and Wanda looks at you. You smile at each other for a moment, before you look away again.
A few meters from the edge of the beach there is a paintball field.
- Hey, are you in? - you ask, pointing to the place.
- Yes. - Wanda agrees, slightly excited.
When you get off the pedal boat, you race to the paintball field, and Wanda absolutely beats you to it. You are laughing as you pay the entrance fee, watching her excitement.
After you put on your protective clothing, and get the paint ammunition, she moves first into the field, and hides, causing you to lose sight of her. You walk around looking around, and then feel something cold hit you on your back.
- Cheater! - You shout cheerfully, as you grab some paint from your ammunition pouch, and run toward Wanda, who is laughing as she tries to run away. You hit her in the leg.
And you stay in this race for several minutes, throwing paintballs at each other while laughing and trying to dodge the shots. At some point between ducking behind one of the obstacles, you corner Wanda, but she looks so cute that you don't have the heart to throw paint at her.
So you just put your hand down and smile. But seeing your hesitation, Wanda laughs and jumps at you, knocking you into the hay as she falls on top of you. You both laugh but your laughter dies down when you notice how close you are. And then she gets that look in her eyes again, and you want to kiss her, so you do.
And you kiss against the hay for many minutes, the feeling of having her against you makes you absolutely satisfied. And you continue there, until Wanda sighs against your lips, and you are warm, and it is better to stop before you are thrown out. And when you part, Wanda hits you on the head with a paint ball, and the moment changes completely. Soon you are back to playing and running.
//-//
On the way back to Wanda's house, you talked about the most varied subjects. When you are arriving, you start talking about the rumors that have been made at school about you two.
- I've heard that you sold your liver on the black market. - She remarked, making you laugh as you turned off the car.
- Those things are lies. - You retorted sheepishly as you got out and walked towards her backyard.
- The parole story?
- False - You deny it laughing. - The fight that ended in death in the parking lot?
- Rumor. - Wanda says with a laugh. - The robbery in New York?
- Just gossip. - You say. - And the kick in Tony Stark's nuts?
- True, he deserved it. - She says. - I'd do it again, he tried to grab me in the cafeteria.
You nod in agreement.
- What about your accent? - you ask curiously.
- I thought it was one at a time. - She jokes, and you shrug. You sit on her balcony. - It's real. My family is from Sokovia, we moved here when I was eight. - You grumble in agreement, waiting for Wanda's question. - Where were you last year? Since the parole story is a lie?
You laughed, looking away for a moment.
- I was in Colorado, living with my father. - You tell, and then look at her again, tucking her hair back behind her ear.
Wanda looks at you with curiosity and tenderness.
- Tell me something true.
- True? - you repeat with a thoughtful tone. - I hate peas.
She laughs lightly.
- No. Something real. - She clarifies. - Something no one else knows about.
- Okay. - You agree by coming closer. - You're sweet. - You tell her by lowering your head to her neck and kissing. - And sexy. - You kiss the skin on the other side. - And you're completely crazy about me. - You say as you bump your foreheads together, and Wanda laughs, pulling away a little.
- You have a huge ego, anyone ever tell you that? - she scoffs.
- I tell myself that every day. - You smile back, before kissing her. - Come to the prom with me.
- Is that a request or an order?
- Come on, go with me.
Wanda sighs.
- No.
- Why not?
- Because I don't want to, it's a silly tradition. - She explains.
- Now, nobody expects you to go.
- Why are you so insistent about it?
You look at her in surprise, feeling your heart race. Then of course you get defensive, because Wanda can't know. At your lack of response, she asks:
- What's in it for you? - She sounds suspicious and irritated.
- Now I need a reason to be with you?
- You tell me.
You look away, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
- You need therapy, you know. - You say back. - Has anyone ever told you that?
- Answer my question.
- Nothing. - You exclaim without patience, looking at her. - I get nothing, just the pleasure of your company.
You look out into the yard again, and Wanda lets out an angry exclamation before getting up and walking into the house, slamming the door.
You run your hands through your hair, hating that you accepted the damn money in the first place.
//-//
You thought Wanda was angry, but she calls you the next day after school. And she accepts the invitation. You are surprised, and feel guilty, but you are also happy to spend time with her.
She says she will accompany her sister, and meet you at the dance. So you stand at the entrance to the party, wearing your best clothes and trying not to look so anxious.
Wanda doesn't see you as she walks up the stairs to the party, and you bite your lip, impressed by how beautiful she looks.
You approach slowly, and whisper a hello in her ear, which startles her slightly, but she smiles turning to you.
- You look stunning. - You say breathlessly.
- So do you. - She replies with a smile.
You offer your arm for her to hold, and she accepts. You walk together toward the ballroom.
- How did you get such a fancy outfit? - she asks with a slight irony.
- Oh, I had kept it at home. For situations like this. - You joke.
- What situations?
- A date with a pretty girl. - You retort with a smile, and Wanda laughs lightly.
You walk to the entrance of the photos, and you lean against the pillar.
- I'm sorry I questioned your motives. - she says when you stop. - I was wrong.
You swallow dryly, feeling guilty. But you try to cover it up.
- You are forgiven.
Wanda smiles.
- Are you ready for the ball?
- Yes, miss. - You agree with a light laugh as you turn toward the party.
You dance together for a few minutes. The songs are terrible, but with Wanda, it's fun.
You also see Pietro and Monica dancing together, and Wanda exchanges a pleased look with her sister.
- Girl, have you seen him? - asks a redheaded girl walking up to Wanda. You know they are friends, and that her name was Nat or something like that.
- Who? - Wanda replies, confused.
- William! - she replies. - He asked me to come here.
You and Wanda exchange confused and amused glances.
- Natasha, please don't tell me you're hallucinating.
You were going to ask what they were talking about, but then you looked toward the stage and understood. You signaled for the girl to look, and she cracked a big smile when she saw Bruce Banner dressed as William Shakespeare waving at her, and walked off in your direction.
- I'm not even going to ask. - Wanda remarked with a chuckle before she went back to dancing with you.
And then the music is ending again, for a romantic one to take its place. You turn Wanda in your arms, kiss her tenderly for a moment, and then dance again, feeling her rest her chin on your shoulder.
And you dance for several minutes, and then someone pulls you away.
- Girl, what is Pietro doing here with that asshole? - Pepper asked aggressively as she pulled you away. - I didn't pay you to go out with Wanda and get nothing for it.
It was as if a bucket of cold water had fallen on you. Your gaze returned immediately to Wanda, and she was already looking at you with teary eyes.
- You have nothing to gain from this, have you?
she retorted wryly before walking away, bumping into you. You gave Potts one last look before following her.
- Wanda! Wait! Please! - You shouted as you walked out of the hall. She then stopped walking, and you let out a sigh. - Give me a chance to explain.
- You were paid to go out with me by the person I hate the most. - She retorted. - I knew it was a trick.
- No, Wanda. It wasn't like that.
- How was it then? An advance, and the rest of the money when you sleep with me?
- No! - You denied it with a shout. - I didn't care about the money! I cared about you.
Wanda shook her head, incredulously.
- You're different than I thought you were.
And then she turns and runs outside, and you sink your hands into your face, trying to calm yourself down.
- Where did she go? - You hear a male voice, and take your hands away from your face to see Pietro standing in front of you.
- Away. - You retort, feeling your stomach clench. - I screwed up.
- We did. - He says upset, putting his hands in his pockets.
- At least you got the girl. - You comment wryly before turning and walking away.
You think you're crying, but you don't care as you leave the party.
//-//
Your first lesson is literature the next day. And you know you will see Wanda, but you are hating yourself so much right now that you don't care. You arrive early for the first time in the whole school year, and sit in one of the back chairs.
As the other students arrive, you keep your head down, trying to distract yourself with your cell phone, even though you know that all your attention is on the girl sitting two chairs in front of you.
When Professor Fury finally starts the class, he is all excited.
- I guess everyone had time to finish the poem I asked for. - He announces standing at the front of the room. - Except for Mrs. Potts, who has an excuse. - He scoffs lightly, mentioning the confusion that occurred at the dance when you left, where Monica punched her in the nose. And now she was wearing sunglasses to cover up the purple. The whole room giggles at Fury's words. - Okay, does anyone want to start the reading?
The room is silent, but then Wanda raises her hand.
- I will.
- Lord, here we go. - Comments the teacher as the girl gets up, and stops at the front of the room. Wanda begins to recite the poem:
-I hate the way you talk to me. And the way you cut your hair. I hate the way you drive my car. I hate it when you stare. - She narrates, without taking her gaze from the notebook - I hate your big dumb combat boots, And the way you read my mind. I hate you so much, that it makes me sick, And even makes me rhyme. - She pauses, taking a deep breath - I hate the way you're always right, I hate it when you lie. I hate it when you make me laugh. - She looks directly at you, her eyes filled with tears and her voice trembling. - Even worse when you make me cry. I hate it when you not around. And the fact that you didn't call. But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you, Not even close, Not even a little bit, not even at all.
Wanda lets the tears flow as she finishes, and the room was too shocked to react. She rushes out next, grabbing her backpack on the way, and slamming the door.
You are trying to hold back your own tears as you stand up.
- I'm going to the bathroom, Mr. Fury. - You grumble as you leave, without waiting for permission.
But you don't find Wanda, and you decide that you’re simply not in the mood for school today.

You sell your motorcycle. You hate that it has the parts for the money Potts gave you, so when it is fixed, you call Carol, and she finds you a buyer. This means you are stuck with your mother for a longer period, but it seems like the right thing to do.
And then you text Wanda, asking her to meet you wherever she wants. She says she won't leave the house to talk to you, so you end up at her front door, shifting the weight of your feet before you decide to knock.
Wanda's father looks stern, and he doesn't smile when he sees you.
- Are you the girl who made my daughter cry? - he asks with a serious expression.
But then Pietro appears at his side, patting him on the shoulder.
- My God, Daddy, don't be like that! - he asks, smiling at you. - Y/N, you are here to apologize, I imagine. Let her talk to Wands.
Mr. Maximoff takes one last look at you before entering back into the house, and Pietro smiles, nodding his head for you to enter.
- Thank you, Pietro. - You tell him, and then he takes you upstairs.
He drops you at Wanda's door, and you take a deep breath before knocking.
- Come in. - You hear her voice on the other side.
Entering the room, you are slightly overwhelmed by the amount of visual information. Wanda has many posters. And she is sitting on the bed, with a book on her lap.
- Hey. - You greet her, closing the door. You leave your hands in your pockets, deciding whether to stand.
- Hi. - She replies, placing the book on the bed and crossing her legs. - What did you want?
You swallow dryly, and decide to sit on her bed, keeping your distance.
- To apologize. - You clarify, and she looks away. - Properly apologize.
- I don't know what you want me to say.
- I just want you to listen. - You retort and straighten your posture, feeling your heart soar. - I'm sorry I took Potts' money, because regardless of my motives, it was wrong to put your feelings on the line.
- Wanda frowns slightly, as if deciding whether to believe you or not. You clear your throat.
- I never should have accepted it in the first place, but mostly I should have stopped when I realized I was falling in love with you. - You say, and Wanda looks at you, surprised by your confession. - But I didn't stop, and I lied to you and kept deceiving you, when I should have told you the whole truth. I'm sorry I hurt you, Wanda. I swear I didn't think all of this would happen.
You take a deep breath, running your fingers through your hair. Wanda just stands there, looking at you as if trying to read your mind.
- I just wanted to say that. - You tell her feeling flustered,
- Are you in love with me?
Wanda looks at you intently, and you just smile shyly.
-Very much so.
And then Wanda approaches you, and when she is close to your face, she says:
- I'm still mad at you. - And then she kisses you. You have missed her lips, and unfortunately the kiss doesn't last long.
When you open your eyes, Wanda has already moved away again, leaning her back against the headboard.
- When you are no longer angry, can we do something together? - you ask her tenderly. Wanda stares back at you, as if to say something.
- I received my acceptance letter today. - She tells you suddenly, and you blink in confusion. Before you can congratulate her, she adds. - In California.
You look at her in surprise, feeling your heart race. Wanda was leaving.
- Oh. - You swallow dryly, shake your head slightly, and smile. - I'm proud of you, Wanda. Congratulations.
- I thought you'd be upset.
- No, it's okay. - You give her a sad smile. - I'll miss you, but it's amazing that you're going to college.
Wanda lets out a sigh, keeping quiet for a moment.
- What did you need the money for?
You are surprised by the question, and look away from her, feeling slightly uncomfortable that this subject is back. But you decide that Wanda has the right to know whatever she wants to.
- I needed to fix my motorcycle. - You tell. - My mom is... hard to deal with. We had a fight and she broke some parts with a hammer. The next day, Potts was offering me the money I needed.
Wanda looks at you for a moment, seeming to be absorbing the story.
- Did you fix it?
- Yes. - You confirm, but let out a humorless chuckle. - But I sold it later.
The girl looks at you, frowning in confusion. And you shrug.
- I felt bad about everything. I decided to try to do the right thing then. - You explain. - I think I'm stuck with my mother for a while now.
Wanda looks surprised at your conclusion, and you let out a sigh, flopping down on the bed as you stare at the ceiling. You are silent for a moment, and then Wanda crawls over to you and lies down beside you, looking up at you.
- What if you leave with me? - She whispers, running her fingers across your face, and you blink in surprise.
- What?
Wanda smiles shyly.
- I have a car. - she says. - And you could work, and we could share an apartment.
You straighten your posture, leaning on your elbow and looking at Wanda in amazement.
- Are you serious? - you ask, smiling, and she nods slightly. You let out a happy exclamation, and move in, kissing her on the mouth. Wanda giggles against your lips, but returns the kiss.
You quickly let go and sit down on the bed when Wanda's father suddenly opens the door.
- Keep this door open! - He warns with a stern look, and you swallow dryly.
- Yes, sir. - Wanda says with humor.
When he leaves, you throw yourself on the bed next to Wanda, and she goes back to reading while you lie beside her.
- Any chance you have any comic books around here? - You joke, and Wanda giggles, denying it with a nod.
You don't mind though, her company is enough to keep you distracted.
//-//
You end up using the money from the motorcycle sale to pay the deposit on the apartment you find for yourselves, fifteen minutes from her college. You get a job the same week, and you finally read the poetry that Wanda likes as you both drive towards California.

Summary: Soulmate AU where the last words you will ever hear from your soulmate is written on your wrist so you won't know it's them until you've lost them.
Staring at the words on your wrist, you held back another sigh, tracing the black ink with your finger, dread and sadness washing over you. You shuddered at the words, unable to rid of the lump in your throat.
I do.
Born with the words on your wrist, no one knew when they would meet their soulmates, unknown to who your other half was until they died. It was cruel, knowing the last thing they'll say to you would cause you immense pain. Horror stories stemmed from the agonies of other's pain, movies made out of the tales that would become famous.
Some, those who were protective of their hearts, buried themselves away from others, but fate always led them to their soulmate. No matter how short the time would be stretching from the duration of your life to a single second before you'd lose them. The best outcome to happen was when two lovers let go, and spend their lives together, to die at when they were to, finding out they had spent their lives with their one and only. That possibility was becoming more and more realistic with modern technology and wishful thinking.
Yet, there was some tragedies. The unfortunate ones would have their sentences written on their wrist, knowing they'd only know their soulmate for a short time, or not at all. “It's nice to meet you.” "What's your name?" "Can I get your number?" "Sounds like a date." Not knowing them at all was, to most, was worse than to know them at all.
A few rare situations when your soulmate would die young. Parents told horror stories, reading the words off their kid's wrist. "We're playing dodgeball in gym!" "I didn't do my math homework." "You can come to my birthday party. I'm turning seven next week!"
Then there were the most terrifying stories. They were the ones turned into thrillers, a real life story turned into a disrespectful horror movie. They'd lose each other, aware there was nothing they could do. "I thought you locked the door." "I don't think we're alone." "Behind you!" "Someone's in the house."
Thankful none of the situations applied to you, you still couldn't get the words branded in your wrist out of your head. It lingered, whispering the last words before your heart would be torn, only healed when death came for you. Some looked on the positive side, knowing meeting their soulmate was inevitable.
Natasha broke you out of your reverie as she tackled you down on the mat, leaving you breathless at the sudden attack, confused to how you've become acquaintances with the ground. You spit your hair out, grimacing in disgust as a few strays stuck to your lips. With your hands tied behind your back, and crushed against the former assassin's body, you turned your attention on her smug smile, glaring daggers.
"Okay, get off before Tony pictures us scissoring again." you grunted, too tired to push her off of you. Natasha laughed, letting your wrists go as she shifted her weight off of you, sitting next to you on the thick mat. You rolled onto your back, closing your eyes in exhaustion. "That was unnecessary, Nat."
Spending the day at the gym with Natasha seemed like a good idea after being beaten by Clint the day before. You knew you were getting rusty, without all the life threatening missions and people to save, your skills wasn't needed. Besides, you loved yourself too much for Steve to convince you to join him on his suicide runs. He woke up before the sun rose, and it only took a few runs to realize that even you couldn't keep up with his fast pace. ("Although, I would love to see his fast pace in the bedroom. Ow, Sam!")
After tying the score—despite the lack of training, you and Natasha still tied when it came to hand to hand combat—you had sat down on the bench, which was now sweaty, and sulked, sighing over the words written on your wrist.
Natasha rolled her eyes, leaning on her elbows as she eyed your expression, eyes narrowing when you didn't return her smile. "What's with the sad face? Are you thinking about your soulmate mark again?"
"You know I only allow myself to think about it once every other month." you replied. Natasha made a noise in respond but you ignored it. "Shut up, I know I'm pathetic. No need to voice your opinions."
"You're not pathetic, just compassionate." she whispered, her eyes sparkling with remembrance. Natasha had lost her soulmate on a mission a few years before the Avengers were formed, but it didn't stop her from living her life. You hoped you could follow her path when the horrid time came. "Out of curiosity, if you had to guess, do you think you've met your soulmate by now?"
You've given it much thought, coming up with a good theory that even Tony Stark would be impressed by. Of course, you didn't share it with anyone, giving Nat the simplified version of it. "With the amount of people I've met, I like to think so."
The playful smirk returned to her lips, a wiggle of her eyebrows as she digested your words. "And do you think a certain blond, big-hearted, super soldier might be it?"
You reached for the nearest water bottle, throwing it at her only to have it hit the wall behind her as she dodged it. Natasha laughed, putting distance between you, sensing an attack. You scowled at her but it lacked real annoyance. "Oh my, God. I have, like, the smallest crush on him and you're already planning our children's proms."
"I'm thinking: under the sea." Natasha joked, grinning when the corner of your lips curled up. The both of you burst out laughing, thinking about Natasha in a ridiculous kid-friendly dress as she chaperoned yours and Steve's future offsprings.
As if summoned, Steve chose that moment to enter the training room, freezing in his tracks when he saw you and Natasha cackling. His expression made Natasha double back into another round of laughter while yours subsided in giggles. Steve cleared his throat, looking down as a slight blush decorated his face.
He murmured your name, walking up towards you, his blue eyes eyeing the ground with too much interest. "Did you hear about the party Tony is making all of us go to?"
Natasha stopped laughing immediately, jaw clenching at Tony's betrayal. They had a truce where Natasha would stop hacking into his system to play Spice Girls—with the help of Bruce, of course—and Tony was to stop throwing parties every month. It's been three months since the last party, the one where Natasha has almost killed the billionaire. Tony couldn't hold off any longer. She stood. "I'm going to kill him."
Before either of you could get a word in, Natasha was already out the door, her stance deadly as Tony Stark awaited his death. The door slammed close behind her as Steve sat down beside you on the mat, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.
You admired his ruffled hair, blond strands hanging down on his forehead. You had mentioned to him that he looked sexier with his long hair, and it seemed like he was following your advice. Dressed in a simple black t-shirt and gray sweatpants, Steve Rogers was every girl's waking fantasy. It truly was unfair how good he could look in sweats.
"Hey." you greeted, smiling sweetly at him. Being happy around Steve was as easy as giving Pepper Potts presents. He returned the smile, grinning from ear to ear as he looked away, his cheeks reddening even more. "What can I do for you, Stevie?"
"Thor wanted to have some kind of Asgardian contest that may or may not level the top floor. I thought you might want to do something else, have a peaceful night instead of risking our lives to one of Thor's games?" he asked sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Not letting excitement cloud your senses, you grew cautious, eyes narrowing as you looked around the room, trying to search for a hidden camera that would allow Tony to get you back from ruining his thousand-dollar crocs. Steve Rogers was not asking you out in no way.
Steve saw your expression, quickly backing off. "Only if you want to. I'm sure you missed Thor and all. It's okay, I can suffer a few third degree burns—"
"No!" you shouted, making Steve flinch at the suddenness. You cleared your throat, cheeks heating up. "Uh, I mean, yeah. I wouldn't mind missing the party. Where did you plan on going?"
Slightly surprised, a smile crept on his lips. He ran a hand across his face to hide the cheeky grin. "Wherever you want to go."
You threw him a smile, unhealthily giddy. If Clint were here to comment, he'd compare you to a happy school girl with a massive crush. "Oh. Okay."
A voice interrupted the short silence, scaring both you and Steve. You suspected the AI, Friday, had been invested in your conversation. "If I may make a suggestion, I advise you both to leave sometime in the next hour before Mr. Stark ropes you in. I'm inclined to think Mr. Stark won't be above blackmail."
"Thank you, Friday." you murmured. The AI said it's goodbye, far too amused for your liking.
Steve got up, offering his hand for you. Both of you were smiling like idiots, cheeks hurting from the too-big smiles that adorned your faces. You had a suspicion you somewhat embodied a clown. The super-solider kept his hand wrapped around yours. "Would you like to leave at this moment, or get changed?"
You shook your head, liking the warmth of his touch. "I'm good. Let's leave."
Steve Rogers was a gentleman, that was confirmed by his acts and the influence of being raised right. Despite that fact, he was a savage in the bedroom. Or half the time, out of the bedroom. You had been surprised, yet pleased, when you fell into his bed halfway through the second unofficial date. After that night, Steve finally built the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend—a term he found silly but otherwise a happy milestone.
After years of being friends, Steve was ready to begin the rest of your lives together. No one was surprised, besides you, that he had proposed three months after the first official date. Being head over heels, you excitedly agreed, only to blanch when Tony started a petition to let him plan the wedding with you. Pepper had stopped him.
No one knew what happened the night of Thor's and Tony's party. Though, Steve made a smart choice to ditch it when you both found a floor of the tower littered with blackened metals and slightly burnt walls. The team wouldn't speak of the incident, not that neither you or Steve cared. You had both been too jubilant to interrogate them.
The wedding day came. Steve had been stopped by Thor, failing to sneak into the room you were in. No matter how strong he was, Thor wouldn't allow any bad luck to happen especially after you had lied to him about naming your firstborn after him. Steve tried, and failed, to tell him you weren't going to name his son after the God of Thunder. Bucky was too busy arguing with Sam about the flower decoration to help out Thor.
Dressed in the lavender bridesmaid dress, Natasha burst into the room, a smile adorning her face. She had thanked you multiple times for not dressing her in those ugly dresses she had seen on Pinterest. "You getting cold feet yet?"
"Mine are toasty warm." you mumbled, hands trembling at the thought of declaring your love in front of a crowd. You wondered if it was too late to get ear plugs so no one would hear all the gooey, cheesy vows you would utter to Steve.
"Very convincing." Natasha teased, taking a shot of the wine laid out on the table. Placing the flute down, she eyed the door, prepared to attack Steve if he managed to get away from Thor. "Alright, what're you worried about?"
You bit your lip, messing up the fresh layer of lip gloss Pepper had put on. Glancing out the window, you saw the crowd settling down in there chairs. The anxiety built up inside you. "Um, falling down the aisle. Accidentally saying the wrong name. Messing up in my vows. Dying of embarrassment."
"You'll be great, I promise. No one's going to die. You won't trip because Tony wouldn't let you. You won't say the wrong name because Steve's is practically implanted in your brain and you'll be too busy staring into his ocean blue eyes that you won't mess up. Now, are you still worried?" she asked, laughing when you managed to trip over your wedding dress.
"If anything, Tony's going to purposely trip me." you muttered, tempted to take a swig of some liquid courage, but the fetus in you held you back. The ceremony would start soon, and being too nervous, you hadn't eaten any breakfast. It was probably a good thing considering the nausea you were feeling. Why call it morning sickness when it didn't happen in the morning?
"You're being paranoid, everything will be great." she sighed, turning to the window, staring directly at the green hybrid. The Bruce and Natasha thing was unsurprising but kind of weird, especially with the whole sex thing. You had gagged at the thought of Bruce trying to fit inside of Natasha, and stopped altogether. "I'll be right back, I gotta do something."
She left the room before you could address her, groaning when she left a tiny crack in the door. Natasha knew how much it annoyed you when people left the door open when you originally had it closed. Heaving a sigh, you went to close the door, only to be met by a small force. Steve stuck his head through opening, his worried frown turning into a dazzling grin as he spotted you.
Without a word, he took you in his arms, his hand cupping your cheek as he pressed a quick kiss on your lips. You smiled into the kiss, closing the door behind him as your arms wrapped around his neck.
You pulled away, wiping the lip gloss smeared across his lips. Steve did the same, smirking at his handy work. "Hello, Mrs. Rogers. How do you feel?"
"Like I want to tangle myself around you in every way possible." you whispered, pressing another kiss to his lips. Steve chuckled, his thumb drawing small circles on your back. "How about you, Husband?"
"I've been waiting for this day for a very long time. You can't imagine how jovial I am." said Steve. He gave your nose a quick peck, and you giggled. "I know it's suppose to be bad luck to see the bride before the ceremony but I couldn't bear it."
Giggling, you pulled him closer, your lips meeting his neck as you sucked softly at the sensitive skin. "Hmm, I can't wait until I'm officially yours. Do you think we have time for a quickie? It'd really help with my wedding nerves."
Steve laughed, but the sound came out a little breathless. Even with the thickness of the wedding gown, you could feel him on your hip, smirking when he shifted. "While that's a very tempting offer, both Natasha and Pepper would kill me for ripping apart this beautiful dress."
"But Steve—" your whine was cut off by Natasha pulling Steve out of your arms.
The redhead glared at him, pushing him towards the opened door. "You, out, now."
"I'll see you—" Steve began to say, only to be cut off when the door slammed in his face. Natasha turned to turn her death stare on you.
"Look at your makeup. I can't believe he snuck in here with Thor on his ass." Natasha complained, pushing you towards the vanity, quickly applying the tube of lip gloss on your lips. You blinked back the tears as she practically poke your eye with the mascara wand, trying to fix Steve's touch on your slightly smeared mascara. "You look like you're going to puke."
You shook your head, taking a deep breath. "I'm good. Where's Tony?"
"Right here." he answered, entering with a velvet box in his hand. The billionaire set it down on the vanity before eyeing your stance. "Wow, you look ..."
"Like I'm gonna throw up all over Steve's suit?" you finished, panic rising.
"I was going to say gorgeous but now that you mention it, you do look a little green." he teased, earning himself a nudge from Natasha. Tony rubbed his ribs. "If you want to ditch, I have the car running in case you want to make a quick getaway."
You rolled your eyes, wishing you hadn't let him talk you into such a big wedding. All you wished at the moment was to take Steve with you and elope. "Thanks for the offer but I'm good. Let's get this over with."
"And here I thought you weren't romantic." Tony joked, handing you the bouquet of flowers.
Natasha checked her watch, the music audible. Morgan, the flower girl was already walking down the aisle along with Pepper's nephew on her heels. The former assassin opened the door, grinning. "Wait a few seconds before you follow me."
And with that, she walked down the short hall before stepping outside, the aisle was cleared by flowers adorning the sides. Weeping willow branches hung down from the huge tree, creating an illusion of fantasy, the little arch at the end of the aisle was created of leaves and even more colorful flowers. You were surprised no one was sneezing with the amount of pollen.
You took Tony's arm, taking another deep breath. Looking at him, you swore he was a bit proud. He smiled at you. "I hope you know I take full credit for the union of your two souls."
Ignoring his mini jab, you raised an eyebrow. "And how so?"
"There was never a party." he informed, grinning cheekily. He pulled you towards the opened door, walking down the hall. "I made it all up so Rogers would get the balls to finally ask you out."
"Then what the hell happened to the tower?" you asked, confused. People were beginning to stand but your curiosity became more important than your nerves.
Tony winked. "That's for me to know, and for you to dot dot dot."
"God, you're such a nerd." you mumbled, turning your attention ahead as your feet hit the white carpet that moonlighted as the aisle. The nerves began to bubble, and you gripped his arm tighter in fear of falling face first.
The ceremony was a blur, Steve just as nervous as you had been, becoming more and more braver as he spoke his vows. By the end of it, you could barely see him through the tears brimming your eyes. If it wasn't for the waterproof makeup, you were sure you would've cried your face off.
You had just finished your vows when the priest had asked if you would gladly wed the man in front of you for the rest of forever. You whispered a soft "I do."
The priest turned to Steve, the super-soldier happy beyond belief. He asked him the previous question he had asked you. Yet, Steve, being eager, had almost cut him off near the end.
His eyes bored into yours, filled with love and warmth. "I do."
Then everything turned black.
You awoke in the Medbay, needles puncturing your arm, a tube tied to your nose. Every single inch of your skin hurt, your eyelids heavy as you opened your eyes, only to close them once again when the bright fluorescents shone. You felt someone squeeze your hand, a finger brushing along your wrist.
Turning your head, you glance at the person, finding out it was Tony. While he was relieved you were awake, something in his eyes made you believe he wished he had more time to prepare you for the worst. At the moment he uttered those words, you wished your ears had been damaged in whatever hell Hydra had dropped on your wedding.
"Steve's dead."

Be Nice to Me <3
Summary- Nat tries to get closer to Wanda~
Warnings- none
A/N- chapter twooo 🌸🌸🌸
Chapter Two
Chapter one
Natasha’s pov
I hated waking up for school in the morning more than anything, but for some reason the usual scowl on my face when I turned my alarm off was replaced with a smile. I was happy to be awake at 5:30 in the morning. And I had a few guesses as to why. The biggest one was that I got to see the most beautiful girl in the world today. Wanda had gotten me flustered yesterday and I was determined to find out why. Nobody ever got me like that. It was infuriating that she had that power over me.
I quickly pulled on a shirt and a pair of jeans, and looked in my closet for my boots. Damn it.
“YELENA! I SWEAR TO GOD IF YOU TOOK MY BOOTS AGAIN I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!” I yelled down the stairs. I heard her stomping up the stairs not long after.
“Well maybe if you would buy me my own I wouldn't have to steal yours.” she said, tossing the boots into my room.
“Yeah? Get your own money to buy some” I replied, pulling the boots on. I grabbed my sweater and pulled it over my head, put my hair up into a quick ponytail, and grabbed my keys.
“Better be ready to go because I'm leaving!” I yelled to Yelena as I walked out the door. I got in the car and she wasn't too far behind me. The drive to school was quick. I dropped Yelena off and ran to the library to find Wanda. I knew she would be there. She was there every morning. After a few seconds of looking, I concluded that she hadn't arrived yet, so I sat down at one of the tables near the door and pulled out my math homework. It was due today, 1st period, and I hadn't even started on it. I honestly didn't pay much attention to class so I had no idea where to start.
“Need some help?” I jumped at the sudden noise. Wanda sat down next to me. “Sorry for startling you, but i did not expect to see you here this morning, you are usually with Tony outside.” She pulled a notebook out of her bag.
“Uh- yeah, actually i was waiting for you.”
She froze and looked at me.
“Waiting for me? Why?”
“Because you seemed nice and i would like to spend more time with you” i watched her face go red. It was adorable. Her face was so pretty.
“Well um- yes i- suppose that's a good reason. Do you need help with the homework that's due today? I've noticed you haven't started on it.” she said with a smile. I hated that she could talk to me like that. Confidently.
“Yeah, but i won't be much help”
“Natasha Romanoff, are you suggesting I do your homework for you?” Wanda exclaimed with a very exaggerated gasp.
I rolled my eyes. “I suppose I am Wanda, how will I ever repay you?”
“Oh I don't know, maybe dinner?” she asked with a hopeful look on her face. I was, to say the least, surprised. I never got asked out. By anyone. Not to sound egotistical but they were all very intimidated by me. I felt a blush creep up my face.
“Uhm, yeah that sounds nice, when?” I replied quietly.
“Tonight at 7, pick me up? I don't have a car.”
“I’d be happy to.”
After that, she worked in silence for the next 20 minutes. She got done quicker than I had expected, then said something about getting to class and left. I'm sure she didn't think I noticed the intense blush on her face but I did. I also noticed that she wasn't wearing the jacket I gave her and I wondered why. I’d ask her later. After a few minutes of me staring off into space the bell rang. I quickly gathered my things and headed out the door to my first class.
I searched the cafeteria for Wanda and found her sitting at a table by herself in the back corner. I walked over to her and sat down. Shed idnt acknowledge me for a while, writing something in her notebook, but after about ten minutes she finally spoke up.
“Are you stalking me, Romanoff?”
“What? Me? No, of course not. I would do no such thing.”
“Really? Because it seems like you're going out of your way to find me” she looked up from her book and smiled at me. It was the most genuine smile I had ever seen.her dark hair looked so perfect in the light of the window she was sitting under. And she was always radiating a strawberry scent.
“Oh, i was just wondering if you weren't wearing my jacket” an intense blush took over her milky white skin.
“It's in my bag.” hs responded bluntly, scribbling something down in her book
“Why aren't you wearing it?” I asked, trying to peek at the writing before she harshly closed the notebook.
“Why do you care?” she asked
“I was just wondering,” I shrugged, “are you not gonna eat?”
She slid her notebook into her bookbag and stood up. “Nope, never do, bye” she sped away, pushing out the door to the field outside. I just stared at it for a second, confused, before getting up to find my friends.
They weren't hard to spot, Carol was sitting on top of the table playing her guitar and singing to a very flustered Valkyrie. I chuckled, walking over to them. Just as Carol finished her song she looked over to me.
“She returns! Where have you been Romanoff, haven't seen you all morning” she asked, setting down her guitar on the table.
“Hanging out with a friend, why?”
“You got a new friend? Spill.” she slid off the table into the chair in front of me.
“It's Wanda,” I confessed, looking at the floor.
“You ditched us for that nerd? Why? She’s not even that great. Aslo where's your jacket? You wear it like, every day”
“Forgot it. And Wanda is very great, she's interesting and nice if you’re not a jerk to her for no reason.” I retorted.
“Ok jeez, don't need to be so defensive”
Tony leaned over to us. “What’s going on?” he asked jokingly “you guys gonna get into another fight?”
“Oh come on tony! That was one time” i rolled my eyes. I didn't know when he was gonna stop pulling that card on us but it was getting old.
“Yeah? Well what are you two fighting about”
“Natasha has the hots for Wanda” Carol said through a mouthful of chips.
“I don't!” I said, standing up. “I'm gonna go- to the bathroom. Bye” it was a terrible excuse and I could hear Carol laughing as I ran to the door outside. I quickly spotted Wanda sitting under the big oak tree and beelined my way over to her. She was still writing. I sat down next to her and once again tried to peek at the book.
“Stop, it’s private” she said, shutting it.
“Private how?” i asked
“It's a journal, and I'd like to keep my thoughts private,” she responded. “Why are you out here anyways? I’d expect you to be hanging out with your friends.”
“They said some things and I left.”
“What things?” she pressed
“Carol was just being stupid.”
“Of course she was, but i’d like to know what she said that offended you so much you had to leave”
“She said that I had a crush on you.”
“Do you?”
“Wanda you do realize that if i did i wouldn't tell you right?”
“No I suppose you wouldn't.” she said with that trademark smile. It was adorable.
“If i'm gonna pick you up for our date tonight i'm gonna need to know where we’re going”
“Haven't decided yet, I need to ask someone for advice.” she said, re-opening her notebook and continuing to write in it.
“Who?”
“My Aunt May”
“Aunt May? You mean Peter's aunt? You know her?”
“Well I sure hope so, I live in her house.” She was funny too. Amazing. I heard the bell ring and frowned, I really didn't want to end the conversation.
Wanda stood up, slipping her notebook back into her bag. “Well, see you tonight?”
“See you tonight милашка” i saw her blush as she walked away. I really couldn't wait for the date, I just hoped I didn't screw it up somehow

When you woke up the next morning you felt a discomfort between your legs. Your core hurt, but it was nothing compared to when Kai had his way with you. kai roughly took you. He didn't take the time to let you get aroused, he just dove right in and got himself off without care about whether you were enjoying it or not. He didn't listen when you said no, instead, he forced you to give in. He forced himself on you and coerced you, then he left you to clean up the mess.
Dabi gently took you. He took his time and paid attention. He asked you if he was hurting you, he asked you if what he was doing was okay. He made sure you were aroused when he took you. He was kind but he still got you in just the right spots making you crave more. He was attentive and made it enjoyable. Unlike your mysophobic captor, he cleaned you up.
When you woke up, Dabi's cum was not dripping from your body like last night. You were worried you'd wake up to dry cum crusted on your skin, but he had cleaned you up. Not only had he cleaned you up from his ejaculation, but he had put clothes on you. Instead of being naked, you wore a long-sleeved pajama shirt and jogging pants. As you felt the bedding you noticed he had changed the sheets and blankets from your sinful acts of the previous night. You must've been really out of it because you hadn't woke up. Whether it was from him wearing you out from your activities, or the fact you hadn't felt so safe sleeping in such a long time remained a mystery.
You pulled yourself out of bed, wincing slightly at the pain. It was more bearable than what Kai was capable of doing to you, and once you stopped thinking about the pain you barely noticed it. You couldn't lie that it hurt Dabi wasn't there when you woke up, but you knew that had someone caught Dabi in your bedroom like that it would cause hell for you both. Sure Dabi was supposed to watch you, but if he was seen leaving your room so early in his clothes from the day before it would arise suspicious questions. He would have to return to your room in the late morning when people could witness him coming to watch you in an innocent matter.
Despite that rational thinking, you couldn't help but wonder if he regretted last night at all. As you slipped on clean fresh clothes you couldn't help but wonder if he meant his words to you. You couldn't help but ponder on if he meant them with honesty. You carried such baggage and trouble with you, a relationship together would be so troublesome for him.
A knock on the door broke you out of your reverie. You quickly pulled your shirt down as you spoke out through the closed door.
"Who is it?"
"It's Dabi."
You tried to slow down the heart palpations you received as you briskly walked over to the door and opened it. Just the sound of his deep voice brought electricity to every fiber of your body but seeing him standing in the doorway made you smile. He came back.
"Hey."
Dabi stepped inside your room and closed the door behind him. He was quick to pull you against his chest, his warmth completely engulfing you. You were relishing in his touch so much you hadn't realized tears were beginning to escape your eyes and drip onto his shirt. You hadn't realized up until Dabi pulled away and tilted your head up with his hands. His long fingers hooked behind your ears and his warm thumbs pushed away your tears.
"What's wrong? Did I accidentally hurt you?"
"No, no you didn't. I'm sorry. I just- I know why you had to leave... But I was worried you regretted it. Regretted last night."
Your tone hushed and got quiet as you mumbled out the last part. Due to your proximity, Dabi still heard it. He pulled you against his chest again. His hold was tighter, more protective but not hurtful.
"Doll, I didn't regret it."
"Are you sure? I wouldn't blame you. I know what complications come with me and you're not obligated to stick around just because I gave myself to you."
"Baby doll, I don't intend to leave. I'm staying and gettin' both you and Eri out. I meant what I said last night."
Your head rested against Dabi's chest as you let out a sigh of relief. You breathed in Dabi's scent of smoke, cigarettes, and sulfur. They were bad smells, yet they brought comfort and safety to your stomach. You lifted your head off of his chest and plopped your lips onto his. It was such a normal action, but it was so foreign. It had been so long since you willingly incited such a romantic action. It was wrong to do it with Dabi when you were dating Kai, albeit forcefully, but it was so right. When you were pulled against his chest, in his arms, you couldn't care to give Kai a single thought. You couldn't be bothered to care if it was morally wrong or right to cheat on a relationship that was forced on you.
Kai was wrong. All the words he'd spoken to you. All the phrases and hurtful words he spits out. Every time he said no one could love you. Every time he said he was the only one who could love you. He was wrong, it was all wrong. Dabi could love you. Dabi did love you.
"I was half asleep when I said it... but I meant what I said too."
Dabi dipped his head down to your ear and gave it a light nibble before whispering roughly, leaving tickles down your eardrum and cochlea.
"I really do love you. I know it's early to say that... But you make me feel things. I'm so closed off, but you make me want to tell you everything about myself."
"Then tell me. You know so much about me, you know about Eri and my mother... I wanna know more about you."
Dabi pulls out of your embrace but keeps a hand in yours. He lightly tugs you along with him to your bed. Once he sits down on the fluffy blankets, he pulls you on top of his lap.
"What do you want to know, doll?"
Your hands came up and played with Dabi's hair as you nestled your body against his. Eliciting a smile from Dabi, you lightly tugged and pulled, but not in the same manner as the night before. It was nice to be able to just touch and love without getting hurt.
"Everything. I wanna know everything about you Dabi."
"God, I don't know where to start... I guess I'll start with my childhood."
Dabi wrapped his arms around your waist, one arm around your back and the other across your lap. His warm hands gripped your thigh and waist as he spoke out his words to you. Dabi had briefly mentioned before that his father was abusive, that his father was mean but he escaped out. You couldn't imagine Dabi as a child, he looked so rough with his scars and staples it was hard to imagine him in a setting where he was young, innocent, and fresh.
"Back then I went by Touya."
"Touya... I like that. Why did you stop using it?"
"My father picked it out. He demanded that he pick it out because I was destined to surpass him, his opinion changed after I received my quirk. When I left home I wanted nothing to do with him. I dyed my hair- it was red then - and I changed my name."
"I bet you looked nice with red hair."
"Mm, I was quite the fox in high school, all the ladies loved me. I never gave them the time of day. It's not something I'm proud of, but I used them for a quick screw and then I'd forget their number."
Your chest tightened as his words registered in your brain. You knew Dabi had a bad reputation. He's a villain, some sort of bad merit comes with that. Hearing him say it was different. How could you be sure you weren't going to be one of those girls? Then again, Dabi hadn't hit you like Kai and if he had ill intent why would he be sitting here telling you about his past. Almost as if he noticed your hesitation in your brain, Dabi dug his fingers in you tighter and pulled you against him closer.
"It's different with you. You like me even though I am a villain, you like me despite my scars and staples. Those girls in high school didn't want me, they wanted Touya. They wanted his status. They wanted his wealth. They wanted Touya, the eldest Todoroki sibling."
"Todoroki... Todoroki as in Endeavor, like the hero?"
"Enji Todoroki is my father, but he is not a hero."
Before Kai closed you off from the world you'd seen Endeavor on the news a lot. As the number two hero, he made lots of appearances. With All Might's lack of recent activity, Endeavor began taking the spotlight more. Although he wasn't your favorite hero, you thought he was one of the greats. As Dabi gripped onto you tightly he made a face, a face of fear. He looked scared and nervous to be talking about the man who raised him. Endeavor saved people, but clearly, there was a dark presence behind the man.
"He was obsessed with surpassing All Might. When my quirk showed up he was less than happy, he pressured my mom into having more kids, more weapons for him to use. My mother gave birth to my sister Fuyumi, my brother Natsuo, then finally she had Shouto."
It was like Dabi's breath hitched in his throat. He had a hard time letting the words out. He hadn't ever told anyone about his childhood. In school, he never allowed himself to be close to anyone, and he never uttered a word to a soul in the league.
"Shouto had both of my parents quirks, and to Enji that was valuable. He separated my brother from me and my siblings, forced him to train to become a hero at a very young age. He abused my mother when she tried to stop him, physically and mentally. She couldn't bear to look at me, behind I looked so much like him."
You pulled Dabi's head against your neck and he was quick to bury himself inside it. He let out a few sobs, but they were muffled against your skin. His tears streamed down his face as he pulled back to finish talking.
"Eventually she snapped. She threw a pot of boiling water down Shouto's face, the side of him that looked like Enji. He threw her in a mental institution. I was twelve, and I had to help raise Fuyumi, Natsou, and Shouto. I was just twelve, and I had to cook dinners. I was twelve and I had to help Natsuo with his math homework. I was twelve and I watched Enji train my brother so hard he threw up, and when I tried to stop him I would get beat."
"Oh, Dabi..."
"When I turned seventeen he became tamer. He never beat Fuyumi, she was his soft spot, and he never beat Natsuo... I think his face reminded him too much of my mom. They stopped needing me, so I left. I faked my suicide and left. I still keep tabs on them. My sister is a teacher, still living at home to take care of him. Natsuo's in college, and Shouto's in the prestigious UA."
Dabi moved his hands from your thigh to your face. He cupped your cheeks and brought his lips to yours.
"I hate my father for the abuse. I hate him so much, but to stay in the game long enough for my siblings to stay safe, I had to play the game. I had to lay down and place my cheek up until they were old enough to stand up and defend themselves, old enough to not need me."
"You don't deserve that. No one deserves that."
"You don't deserve it, but I need you to do it. I need you to play Kai's game. Pretend that you want him. Pretend you can't get enough of him. Pretend your so in love. We need him to get laxer. The laxer he is, the easier--safer it'll be to get you and Eri out. To survive the games you gotta play the game."
You mirrored Dabi's actions by pressing your lips back against his. Your kisses held passion and love. Your hand came up and caressed his cheek softly, skimming lightly over his staples, unsure if it was a soft and sensitive or not.
"I'll do it Dabi. I'll hate every minute of it, but I'll do it. I'll stop fighting, give in, embrace it. I'll play Kai's game."

A New Friend
A/n- Hey! So this is my first ever Shigeo Kageyama x Fem!Reader fanfiction. It could be interpreted as platonic, since I just wanted make this soft. Since I'm 14, I decided to self-indulge and make something for myself, and I absolutely love Mob. Hopefully you like it! I will be making my rules soon, and I hope you understand if I refuse to do your request, given that I'm still a minor. Thanks! More shall come in the future. Maybe even a sequel :))
Y/n- Your name
F/n- Friend's name
H/c- Hair color
Math is seriously going to kill me. Y/N felt her head throb as she stared at the myriad of numbers on her notebook. The combination of symbols and letters made her head spin, and the equations weren't making sense like they used to. I'm usually able to figure this out after a few tries, what's so different now? A sigh escaped her lips, and she felt as if her brain was TV static, her thoughts foggy. Great. Now I'm at that phase.
"That's enough for today. You may go home now. Number 3-5 will be your assignment for tomorrow to be checked." Her teacher's stern voice was enough to pull her out of her thoughts, and she silently stood up, making a mental note of solving the math questions later, her eyes scanning over the equations again. He chose the hardest ones for us to answer. Guess I'll have to ask F/N for help later.
Her hand reached for her backpack strap, which was slung over her chair. The weight of her backpack made her shoulders ache, but otherwise, it was fine. She was used to it anyway. The sound of the chairs screeching against the floor and the murmurs of the students as they got out of their seats echoed in her ears. Y/N instinctively reached for her phone, practically a routine now whenever she was about to leave the classroom, before something unexpectedly caught her eye.
A classmate with a clean bowl cut seemed to be in a daze at the back of the classroom, staring at his notebook in utter concentration. Huh. Good to know I'm not the only one struggling. Usually, Y/N was not one to approach other people. She was too scared of being an nuisance, or ruining their impression of her with her habit of rambling and stuttering whenever she's nervous, but this kid; he felt different.
His silent awkwardness, his gentle voice, the way his eyes would burn with determination whenever she caught him jogging with the Body Improvement Club. It interested her. Her eyes have been on him for a while now. The H/C haired girl didn't know what it was. It could be a crush for all she knew, but it was too early to tell. Either way, this was an opportunity to talk to him. Kageyama Shigeo.
"Hey. You alright there?" Y/N placed her hand on his desk, which made him flinch, startled by the sudden voice. The girl waited patiently for him to answer as he slowly looked up at her. She noticed that his cheeks would no longer turn pink whenever someone of the opposite gender approached him, and she didn't really know how to feel about that. I guess he just grew out of it. Good for him. "Yeah. The questions were just a bit confusing." It was like the mere sound of his voice was enough to help her relax, the dull ache in her head slowly fading. "Isn't it? It's probably going to take a lot of help from my friends to be able to get these right. You think you can pass those by tomorrow?"
Kageyama stiffened at the question, his lips trembling in realization. Y/N observed his behaviour, and was quick to figure out what it meant. That looks like a no. If I recall correctly, he had an outstanding younger brother, but I don't think even he can help him with this, since he's in a lower grade, and I'm pretty sure his friends at the Body Improvement Club aren't exactly the studying type, not that that's a bad thing. They all seem like good guys. Before she could think about it, the girl jumped at the opportunity presented to her. "Do you want me to help you with it? My friends are really smart, and they help me a lot with homework. I could let you join us so we can work together." Her lips curled into a smile, her expression perfectly calm. Her thoughts, however, could not say the same. WHAT AM I DOING OH MY GOD THEY'RE TOTALLY GONNA SCARE HIM OFF I'M GONNA LOOK LIKE A TOTAL CREEP WE'VE BARELY EVEN TALKED TO EACH OTHER WHY AM I DOING THIS TO MYSELF I'M SUCH AN IDIOT I SHOUL-
"Sure. Sounds good." Y/N blinked, her eyes staring at him in utter surprise, taking her a second to realize what he had just said before slowly pulling herself together. "Great! I'm going to meet up with them in front of the school as soon as I leave the classroom, do you want to come with me? It'll be easier that way." Kageyama smiled softly, nodding his head as he stepped out of his seat and put his notebook in his brown backpack. That turned out better than I thought it would. He's really as nice as I thought he would be. It's pretty comforting.
The two walked out of the classroom in comfortable silence, the sound of student chatter and footsteps echoing inside the school hallways. They passed by a certain classroom, and Y/N watched as Kageyama's eyes sparkled, stopping abruptly as if in a daze, staring at a pretty black-haired girl giggling at what her friend was showing her, his lips curling into a bigger smile. "Ah, Tsubomi-chan..." The words were spoken with such sweetness and admiration, it took Y/N by surprise, her eyebrows raised. Must be his crush. Can't say I blame him though. She's gorgeous. An almost unnoticeable pang of insecurity shot at her heart, but she didn't pay any attention to it. She's barely even talked to Kageyama, there's no way something like this would hurt her, even if she thought he was a little cute. Either way, she tapped his shoulder, making him yelp, his cheeks turning red with embarrassment. He opened his mouth to apologize, before she cut him off, an amused grin sitting on her face. "Heh. I get it. No need to apologize, Kageyama-kun." The jet black-haired boy blinked, his eyes a bit wide, unsure of what to think of her statement, before closing his mouth and nodding profusely, his face still slightly pink. Y/N couldn't help but giggle at his reaction, finding it adorable. He's just so innocent. Who knew someone like him still exists in this world.
Y/N's phone suddenly made a sound indicating a notification, making her pat her skirt pocket, where her phone resided in. "That must be my friend. Seems we've made them wait long enough, let's go!" A cheeky grin grew on the girl's face as she reached for Kageyama's wrist, making him blink in surprise, and before he could say anything, she took off running, forcing him to keep up the pace to avoid stumbling, although it wasn't with as much difficulty as he imagined. Can't force him to run faster than he's comfortable with. That would be mean. Y/n looked back at him, the smile consistent on her face as she pulled him along the school hallways, and Kageyama couldn't help but reciprocate. It seemed he's made a new friend once again.
A/n- I'm sorry if this flooded your dash. I'm formatting this on mobile and I dont think the read more option is actually available on this, and honestly, I think that's total bs. Still, I hope you enjoyed it :))

Oh boy! I have a story about this!
In high school I had this very dramatic trig and later calc teacher. Now don't get me wrong he definitely wasn't the best guy ever, in fact he probably would be considered the villain of his own story, but in mine he did help me through a lot mostly by explaining multiple times that I could do better and therefore he expected better, while still giving me the help I needed to pass his class. I could do calc in my sleep, the problem was I didn't want to do calc. At all. I wanted to read. So I would ignore my homework for a book, get a 98 on a test and happily settle with a C.
This man realized that's what I was doing the second year he had me in his class, and he basically started bribing me with book recs. He would be like come do you homework in my classroom after school, where he would tutor the kids that needed help with calc. After showing him I could do a few of the problems he'd be like, that's enough homework for me to say you did it, by the way here's a book I think you'd like.
And though, once again, he was not a good person. He had some great book recs.
After doing this about a month or two he told me I should read The Princess Bride. I'd already seen the movie, and I was a little skeptical. This man pulled up a chair to my half finished homework to explain how the writer had "got him" the first time he read the book.
In the commentary, Goldman says he just took this great story from another book that was long and boring and made it into this abridged version. This math teacher brought the book back to the bookstore, and explained he wanted the original version. They looked for this book for about 15 minutes, before they realized Goldman made that shit up. There is no longer, more boring book. There is no Morgenstern. The commentary is a lie. He laughed about it, and went home reading the book with a new found love for an author that could trick him.
I thought this story was hilarious and decided to pick up the book. So I got it on my kindle in probably 2011.
He talks about the infamous reunion scene that he thought was "too personal" to publish, but if you wanted you could write to the publisher. I clicked the link on my kindle where it explained the legal reasons it couldn't be published. It then took me to a website where I could email someone to get the scene because they had one the legal battle (or something to that end). So I emailed it.
I got an email back stating, he thought about it and decided it was still too personal to publish. This is when I realized. He had "got me" too! I knew this author was a trickster god of lies, but here I was pulling at threads just to unravel a sweater in the cold. There was never a reunion scene. He just wanted to trick people.
The teacher and I had a good laugh about getting got, and this has been one of my favorite books ever since. I just have so much respect for an author that can trick you to buy into his world that feels like the real world.
The Lord of the Rings and The Princess Bride are basically the same genre of literature approached from opposite directions, insofar as both are travelogue fantasies that maintain an elaborate metafiction of being abridged and partially fictionalised translations of prior works, with extensive authorial commentaries and pseudo-documentary appendices to support this conceit, but whereas Tolkien went to all that trouble principally in an effort to present a relatively abstruse subject matter (i.e., speculative linguistics) in an approachable way, Goldman did it mainly to annoy people.
#goldman#the princess bride#writingz#if you have time fo look at the ebook and see how entertaining this wild goose chase really is

The Mayor of NYC just announced about the closing of the school year and how they tried to bridge the,gap for inequality for 6 years
I'm being honest and I'm not talking shit about him or any administration
I'm talking shit about people
This happens all the time. In elementary schools I shit you Not it happened in a 5th grade class room at La Promosa when I was substituting.
Fights and arguments were more common in high schools
In the middle school in 2016 the first month of classes there was 338 fights before classes started. And teachers trying to break it up got hit.
Im not kidding you. I don't live in the ghetto. I live ina community where they pride themselves on being the best and one of the most upper in all ways of the entire state. Where the government and schools work hard for this. They have won all kinds of awards that had absolutely nothing to do with me
I don't do that kind of system. As you see i do equality for police i do earning by deserving by showing workmanship.
But i don't do favor awards because of where i live. I was against Facebook coming to Los Lunas because we don't have a good traffic system. We have extra bad rush hour traffic that can take 3 hours to go 2 miles. So i was against Facebook coming and causing more traffic through town.
But they came and that had absolutely nothing to do with me. No shame. I don't work in the government. And they're only using solar electricity. So im not gonna bitch about it. It is good for the jobs and so on.
I'm just saying i was against it.
Because the point no matter how hard we try for our community or our schools
There's people that will fight for no reason.
So Mayor Bill while you find it painful, you may be saving some people some pain. Children being bullied. Fights such as these being hidden in school bathrooms. And so much more.
Schools were initially designed to be a safe place
But they aren't any more.
So i just wanted to explain that to all of you.
Seriously the middle school in 2016 had in the 2016 to 2017 school year, 74225 fights/arguments of high intensity that caused disruption in the hearts.
My primary school before i became unable to walk was the middle school. But it was heartbreaking.
What I saw was children coming from a home environment with one teacher and a playground.
Now our elementary schools do a block to prepare them for middle school because the change is so disruptive. So starting in 4th to 6th they change classes for certain subjects. But its only about 4 teachers per grade. So and if one is sick or has a sub or something or the teachers decide they don't want to for special projects they stay in their regular class.
Every thing else they had their whole life. Music and art and PE teachers.
Then thrown into 7 different teachers. No play ground. No desks to keep their things. No lockers. Every one new including the school grounds. They have to carry all their stuff all day in book bags.
It is the most inhumane treatment in the world.
And to make matters worse it's when they go through puberty.
I went to that school over all the schools in the district because i knew they needed me. Because they broke my heart. Because they had a constant cloud of darkness over their school.
Because they were in Hell.
Things were so used to. Things we survived. That we dont have the time to take to realize how much trouble the future of our children are in.
Just the way the school system is organized. Elementary. Middle/Intermediate/Jr High. High school.
I saw memes about zombies wanted in this WWIII
Look into the eyes of a child in Jr high. You'll see the walking dead.
I'm not kidding yoh. They tore my soul apart and broke my heart.
Every day i had to go Just to be there. Just to absorb the air. To make it cleaner for another day for them.
Turn out one set of lights. Open the blinds for the sun to come in. Do what i could to allow their brains to receive oxygen
And not neon fluorescent tube light's radiation.
Let their lungs expand and breathe so they could learn.
That is just is a basic.
It didn't help long term. Just a basic band aid.
Then allow them a voice. Allow them to speak on their own.
So, my choice to pay governments to shut down schools of 5 Billion dollars NYC will get...
It is for a reason.
My choice to have children at home worldwide
Is because i saw the suicidal desire in children's eyes. Because just of the change of the ways school systems are established.
Those children need to be home to recover.
They need more help than you will ever know.
They need more hugs and love and home cooked suppers and Happy Meals than you can imagine.
I care about those kids. I care about their parents and guardians. I care if they're homeless and on their own.
I worked plenty of special ed as well as regular education. Special ed was my favorite because they tried to blow through that black cloud every day and they also did it for the people around them
While they're termed stupid and dumb because of their lack of reading or math ability, most are the strongest of all the schools to bring light into the lives of others.
I remember this girl. She looked so dead inside. She walked up to me slow and in pain. "Idk what to do today I can't concentrate. I just don't feel right"
I looked around the room..
"Do you need the nurse?"
"No"
"Well I think you're not going to be okay take your things and go sit over my John. So I don't have to keep yelling at him for talking. Tell him I said to talk to you. He's the kid in the back from here against the wall three seats or rows back however you call them"
At that time i didn't know he was in reading special ed. I had not done his class period yet.
But i felt the most positive energy coming from his area of the room and he looked like the leader of that zone. I worried it was a mistake. That he could lead her astray.
I saw the darkness deepen "i said for her to go over there" the cloud prevented their brains from hearing and processing "HEY! YOU WANNA TALK? TALK TO HER! BECAUSE I SAID OR ILL SEND YOU TO THE PRINCIPAL. OR HEY COME HERE AND ILL EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO YOU"
So he came up "what? Im trying to be good. And she told me i had to talk to her"
"Am i here every day? No I'm not. There's something wrong with her. Its probably something at home that has nothing to do with you. Or maybe her and her friends got into a fight. Whatever. But what i do know is you like being the center of attention and talking a lot. So what i need you to do is talk to her. Not solely but include her in your group. Can you look st her please? Tell me what you see."
"Like she wants to die or some one to take her out and shoot her in the street"
My tears prevented me from saying more "then i think you know how to handle her without doing that. Do you play a lot of video games?"
"I used to. But my mom and dad kept taking it away for me being bad in school. I have it now though i just haven't played in years"
"Well i tell you, John, i think you should start playing more as a reward from me for helping her. And you should tell your parents you're doing well socially. And she should change her seat"
"What do you think has happened to her? Something bad or...?"
"I think she's just alone. Maybe just this class or. What this is right after lunch? She may just being of a social anxiety for leaving her friends from the cafeteria"
His eyes light up "I've been in special ed all my life!! I know exactly what that is!! I can help!! Thank you Miss Teach!!"
I never saw that girl again. She ceased to exist. That class never existed again. It transformed completely into a smiling sunny happy class room. It didn't matter if all the lights were off.
Each and every single child in that room shone with brightness...
It wasn't over night. It took Team Work.
But they worked it. And it worked.
Im not talking shit about the teachers. The teacher gave them work i didn't need to teach. Just work they already knew how. Which gave me the opportunity to look and view the students in a way she didn't have the time or freedom of mind to. A lot of time she just gave them a "catch up day" catch up on old assignments and homework they hadn't turned in. She gave them one every 2 weeks so she didn't have to fail them. So she just added one in or switched it from the regular day. And she had extra credit worksheets for them to do when they finished.
So no matter what you do. There's always gonna be a problem.
Our problem for Quarentine is Essiential workers. They can't stay home. They can't give nor receive the special attention their family and friends deserve.
This is why worldwide people are saluting and applauding and thanking and doing charity for them.
This is why we set aside special vacations and money for them and their families.
Yes you, too, my store workers. Including Wal-Mart. I got shamed yesterday by one of my stout workers i always see in Wal-Mart that goes the extra mile. "What about us. Ain't no one said shit especially you"
He didn't say the word shit but... You know what i mean. It's what i heard.
Which is funny cause the last time i saw him he was stocking toilet paper.
So understand why shutting down the schools is so essiential. Why communities are being paid so much. No community school district is being paid less than $6 million to shut down for the school year.
I want you to understand why.
Because its out of control. Its dangerous. And it is damaging our humans and aliens. And it is damaging our future on Earth to be successful.
So you stressed out moms.. Chill the fuck out.
Please. Please for the love of God.
Assualt your child with a hug. Just grab them and say "i didn't know. I'm here for all those moments you felt alone. Just come and find me and ask to do something together"
Assault them with love.
This is World War 3 people. Get into action!!!

Tl;dr: please for the love of God take your math courses pretty back to back. Don't leave a lot of time between them bc you WILL forget stuff. Don't panic too badly if you get stuck on a concept that you just cannot seem to grasp - it'll come, almost certainly. Get thee to the tutoring center and make friends w some tutors. Even if you don't end up needing much help, that setting will likely be good for productivity and if you always do your school work there, you'll train yourself to do schoolwork there. Plus it's really nice to have some friendly faces when you walk in and when you're not a full-time, on-campus traditional student it's way harder to make friends.
I was always pretty good at math so, y'know, grains of salt and all but here's my experience with calculus. I took pre-calc in 10th grade. I then took AP Stats in 11th grade bc I didn't really wanna take calculus. I then signed up for the year-long, sit-in-class-every-day-for-hours AP Calc and panicked. I had gotten used to college courses and Did Not want to be in a high school class with that kind of commitment.
So I signed up for Calc 1 and my local college a year and a half after taking pre-calc. I don't recommend that. I hugely don't recommend that.
I also cried every day for two weeks straight. We were learning about limits and I just could. Not. Wrap my brain around limits. I went to former teachers, I went to the tutoring center, I went to teachers I had never even had before (!) hoping they could help me. I was convinced I was going to have to withdraw or fail. (I was the president of my high school's math club and my poor club advisor was deeply sympathetic but absolutely bewildered)
And then... Something clicked. And suddenly limits made sense and all was right in my world. So if there's a concept you just cannot get in the first bit, it is totally possible that you'll one day wake up and it'll suddenly make sense. I guess for me, we'd finally had enough practice with limits that I realized what we were doing with them... And that I was trying to make them way too more than they really are. Experience with concrete things is much better than vague concepts!
I also lived in the tutoring center than semester. I made friends with a tutor and would just go do calculus somewhere near him while he helped other students. When I got stuck, I'd wait for him to finish helping someone with their current problem and be next in line while they worked on their next problem. (occasionally I'd help the students courses I'd already taken while waiting for the tutor, which is very good to keep old skills fresh) I didn't need a lot of his time but when I got stuck, I really needed help, and tbh just having him near was a relief. I could focus on figuring it out instead of stressing. and honestly he usually showed me that I had done the arithmetic wrong, not the conceptual parts.
Last thing - if you have somewhere you can do homework that has white board tables, do allllll your math homework there. All of it. Bless those things.
Good luck!
somebody convince me that taking 20 units while working full time is a bad plan because at the moment it looks like a pretty good plan
