Could I possibly request Eragon kissing reader for the first time, perhaps after a battle where emotions are high?

“Blood And Kisses” Eragon x Reader

(A/N: Thank you for requesting! So, I may have wrote this slightly more intense than planned. In my defense, I was watching Critical Role and trying to write at the same time. Warnings: Mentions of blood and fallen foes. Angst. Romance. Word Count: 683 words)

This was not how the trip was suppose to go. There had not been a plan in place for bloodshed. Not like that. Not with you with him.

Seeking out new locations and possible allies was suppose to be awkward and formal.

Eragon wished he had been in a diplomatic meeting as he wiped the blood off of his hand. The smear and stain was not his own.

A group of angry, loud, and fiercely loyal men had ambushed Eragon and yourself. No proper introductions.

Who the men were devoting themselves to? Eragon had no clue.

All the Dragon Rider knew then was that he needed to keep the pair of you alive. So he had you run. They wanted the magic user, the Dragon Rider. The hero.

Panting, Eragon did not begin to ponder how they knew him. Covered in sweat, he searched for you. His dear friend who was ill prepared for the amount of foes. His friend who held his heart.

Reaching out with his mind, he felt for your familiar presence. Those thoughts woven within images and songs.

Eragon’s heart hammered in his chest and distracted his hearing.

Where have they gone? He thought in worry as he stepped passed another lifeless body.

Faith that you avoided harm slipped from him every second without you in his sights. He needed to see you. Immediately. His close and dearest friend.

Brown eyes glanced towards any small change in his new environment. A bend in the grass. A creak of a door. Anything.

Where were you hiding?

Were there men Eragon had not stopped?

Did any target you?

The Dragon Rider could not bare the thought. His questions, his pleas, could only be answered once he found you. Once you were with him again. Close and safe. Out of any danger.

We need to leave this place. Whether those that attacked live in town or not, Eragon thought firmly, we need to go.

Boots hurriedly crossed atop trampled grass, he peered passed the last building on the road. Beyond that lay woods, hidden in the heavy shadows of sunset.

“Eragon.” A recognizable voice carried through the clutter along the back of the building.

He rushed forward without a thought. Spotting your form as you stood from your hiding place, relief flooded through his body and mingled in a whirling pool of emotions.

Before you could utter a single word, Eragon was in your personal space. His hand were examining yours with frantic intent upon sight of drying blood.

“Are you hurt?” Eragon asked, fingers moving to check your face. No ounce of timidness. He had no room for it.

“No. I got away.”

“You’re sure?” He tilted your face, gaze strong and heavy, not too unlike his breathing.

“I did what I had to. I’m not hurt physically. I promise.” You grabbed his forearm. “Are you all right?”

Eragon could see his worry mirrored in your eyes. He had never been so afraid of losing you. So suddenly. A scare of never seeing the light shining in your eyes again.

They’re alive.

Taking in a breath, Eragon leaned forward and became the closest he had ever been to his dear friend. Lips capturing your own with all of the weight of his emotions. The good, the bad, and the whatever he could describe running through him as he kissed you. Firm pressure as even his fingers barely moved on your face.

A minuscule separation for air and Eragon felt your free hand tangle into his hair.

“I can’t lose you.” Eragon whispered against your lips. His throat constricted upon hearing his own words. “I can’t. I’m sorry.”

You gave his forearm a light squeeze. “No apologizing. Breathe.”

“We must leave.”

“My dear, Eragon, catch your breath.”

Most tension left his muscles. Being with you allowed him to be himself. No mighty titles.

Yet the Dragon Rider found your order difficult. His attention securely on you as your lips greeted his own softly and your hands held him in a tender embrace. A caring love.

How could he ever breathe normally again?

How do we think Murtagh feels about marriage, especially after watching his parents’ marriage be super unhealthy? The series seems to imply at one point that marriage is really important to humans in Alagaësia, but not so much for the elves. Where do we think Murtagh would fall in that spectrum?

I personally think he wouldn’t be opposed to the idea, but would definitely want a loooong time with someone first - preferably if they’re someone who’s also immortal, maybe like a good 5-7 years first, or even 10. And if marriage wasn’t his partner’s thing, I think he’d totally be okay with that (but do think if it’s up to him, once you pass the ~10 year mark, he’d maybe start getting a little antsy).

Word Count: 457 Warnings/Notes:  Established relationship, bed cuddles of reassurance Summary: The peculiar sound of the wind at night disturbs the Reader, they call for Murtagh’s comfort.

  Waking up in the middle of the night was not a habit that you wanted to pick up on. At least not intentionally.   A sliver of blue moonlight stretched across the room from the gap in the curtains. Everything was still, and you were certain that it could not be too far into the night. All the more reason to settle back into the bed and go back to sleep.   With a final stretch, you could reach the cool parts of the bedsheets. However, you froze in-place. The wind outside howled most peculiarly. A chill ran up your spine and you curled into yourself. Sleep, unfortunately, slipped further from your grasp.   As you looked over your shoulder, it appeared as though Murtagh had yet to join you in bed for the night. You did not want to bother him if he was busying himself with something important. Even if that important thing was a leisurely read or speaking with Thorn.

  When the wind whistled by the window, you changed your mind. “Murtagh?” You called out to softly to be even remotely heard from across the room, much less the house.   Again, the wind howled. And again you called out to him, a little louder than before.   As his name finished leaving your lips, Murtagh walked into the bedroom. Swiftly, he came upon your side of the bed. “What’s troubling you?” He asked, concern etching his brows as he looked over your current arrangement.   As if answering for you, the wind blew immensely. The suddenness of the sound sent you under the blanket in a blink of an eye.   “I’ll be right back,��� he assured, his hand finding one of your shoulders. “I need to put a few things away first.”   He left the room as quietly as he had entered it. By the time he was crawling into bed, you scarcely thought that he had left in the first place.   “Did you run?” You asked in your bewildered curiosity.   “No,” he said, snuggling up with you. “Was I too fast?”   “Not at all,” you replied, pressing yourself into him upon the next gust of wind.   His arms wound their way around you in a lovingly protective embrace. “The wind can’t harm you here,” he murmured, kissing the top of your head.   “It’s the sound,” you shuddered. “It’s eerie and unsettling. I’m none too fond of it.”   “Then listen not to it. Ignore its jests for your attention, it so highly seeks.”   Gently, his hand cradled your head to his chest where upon you heard a faint rhythmic thump. As your focus was adjusted to him, the wind became less noticeable. In a matter of minutes, you were lulled to sleep by the comforting sound of Murtagh’s heart.

Murtagh had returned to your home. Finally. By dragon magic and fire — he missed you. To be comfortable in an environment enough to discard his boots upon entry was still new for the Dragon Rider. Yet he would never complain. Definitely not. He had another reason never to complain.

There, curled up in bed with a book was no one other than his love, you. Nose deep in the book even as Murtagh walked closer.

“You’re early,” you smiled, eyes peering up at him.

“I have my reasons.” He pressed his lips to your cheek, softer than his own. He kissed your shoulder then, hidden by a night shirt.

“Tired?”

“Not yet.”

You turned a page and asked, “Did you want to read with me?”

“Perhaps later?” Murtagh kissed your shoulder again while letting his fingers roam the curves of your hip and thigh. “We could do something else?”

“We could paint.” You suggested, looking over to him.

A frown creased his features.

“What? I liked your last painting. You could be an artist too, Murtagh.”

Sighing, Murtagh flopped onto the bed.

“What’s the matter?” You set the book aside to comb your fingers through his dark locks.

“Nothing…”

Eragon wiped the sweat from his brow. A common occurrence while tending the crops. More so that he had finished what needed doing. It had been a long morning.

Satisfied, the Dragon Rider stretched his arms over his head. He would do well with a short rest. Some time to himself if he could.

Brown eyes caught sight of his partner sitting under the shade of a tree. His companion and love who he would do practically anything for.

Eragon could rest later.

Walking up to his beloved, he was greeted by your soft smile. A wonderful sight.

“All finished?” You asked, handing over a container of water.

“Finished working in the soil? Yes.” Eragon swallowed a generous amount of water. “Thank you. I needed a drink.”

“You might also need to wash up.”

He hummed briefly in acknowledgement and promptly sat down beside you. Brown eyes roamed over your content expression and down your curves in affection. Still hot from work, Eragon felt a growing excitement in his belly. A thought lingering in passion.

“Are you busy?” Eragon inquired, index finger tracing around your wrist. “You could use water as well.”

“I’m enjoying the breeze.” You stated and closed your eyes.

Leaning in, Eragon lightly pressed his lips to the contour of your ear. “You could enjoy the water,” he whispered.

“I wasn’t digging out weeds and playing with earthworms.”

He nipped your ear.

“Hey.”

“I need to bathe and I think,” Eragon placed his other hand on your thigh, “you should keep me company.”

“You’ve taken baths by yourself before.” You opened your eyes and turned to give him a quizzical look. “Do you need me to test the temperature again?”

Moving his hands to his lap, the Dragon Rider sighed, defeated.

“No.” He pulled at an innocent blade of grass.

“Then go bathe.” You patted his knee.

“Fine.” Eragon pouted.

hi! so, i've been on tumblr for almost three years, and i've always been more of a silent viewer than an actual active member (even with my fair share of reblogs). since i was little, i've always loved writing, but i stopped doing it for a bit, either for laziness and because i was convinced no one would read my stuff. right now, im kinda itching to start to write again, and i thought that doing it here would be fun. during this time here on tumblr, my main read has been xreader fanfictions (and some casual marauders one), so i think i've grown kinda accostumed to the genre, and i would like to start with something like that. so, what im asking is if anyone would be interested in that.

part 2

Part 1

I sit on the sandy beach waiting for my fish to finish cooking the sounds of the fire crackling mix’s with the gentle sloshing of the waves, my mind drifting off to thoughts of a certain one eyed prince. The plains of his face, sharp cheekbones, broad shoulders are beautiful lo..

Loud snoring breaks my day dream. Aurelius the lazy dragon he is shifts in his sleep, purring almost in his sleep. Content with his full belly of fish and wild boar, currently making a very good wind shield as hes curled behind me.

It's been almost five days since my visit to the Targaryens. I truly expected something by now either in the form of a messenger or an army, I will say I was hoping for the first but was prepared for the later.

“I'm sure you were”. Aurelius speaks, an eye now cracked up gageing my reaction.

“Your being real cheeky lately”

“And you've been day dreaming since that night don't tell me the mighty red assassin has finally found someone who catches her eye.” I simply flick sand at him, to which he just laughs

“So what if i have, you must at admit i picked an interesting one. Really that whole family is interesting”

“But they are also dangerous little ones,I don't want anything to happen to you.”

I know but allying ourselves with them for now could open a lot of doors for us, especially for you. Relius I want you to be able to have better things: actual meals, armor, somewhere safe for you to nest if you wish, you know the works.

“Scarlet.”

“No Aurelius I want better for us i'm tired of always being on the move

“No SCARLET!!”. Aurelius says with force his head now lifted to the sky. I now hear the roar in the distance. Aurelius swiftly stands haunches raised a low growl falling from his clenched jaw as we wait for the source of the sound to come into eye line

Vhagars giant form breaks through the clouds, the blond silver of her rider's hair reflecting in the sun behind them as they ascend toward the abandoned beach.

Aemonds pov

After the meeting with the girl, I've thought of nothing else. Grandfather's network of informants tried all they could to learn more about the crimson haired assassin, all coming up with nothing but tails of her triumphs. My favorite being the one of her taking out a group of bandits that was terrorizing a small farm town, kidnapping a girl to do gods know what to do if lady scarlet hadn’t intervened. Every story and praise for her filled my thoughts as brightly as her rose colored hair. She was a beautiful enigma, a puzzle waiting to be solved. Once the decisions had been made I plotted the course and took off as soon as possible wanting to bring the girl back to king's landing no matter what.

Scarlets pov

The second prince and his dragon landed on the far side of the beach the ground thudding as Vhagars giant form comes into contact with sand, creating a cloud around her and her rider. I see Aurelius step forward ready for anything but i motion him to stay back as i start making my way to the half way point between the prince and I.

Meeting him I can’t help but take him in. His beautiful hair and fine leather coat swaying in the sea breeze behind him. Looking as regal as he could instead of like he just road a days time to get here.

“What an honor it is for the prince himself to come calling on me i expected a simple messenger from your sister.”

‘A mere messenger could not be trusted to negotiate these very important terms”

“And you believe you can my prince”

“Why of course my lady.”

“Confident aren't you”

Aemond simply smirks his head tilting and pale blue/lavender eye filling with merriment and mischief.

“I won't deny it my lady im proud of my heritage, of my accomplishments

“I would be careful my prince A proud person could end up falling

“True but i hopeful this won't be the case for i'm here to offer you a deal
