Let's chat coffee! I've embarked on my personal journey to find first-rate, marvellous coffee in London after , not long ago, discovering the truly satisfying bitter taste. I want to learn about the vast selection that this truly diverse drink has to offer from mochas to lattes to simple black coffee. London has such a large variety of coffee shops to explore! All though I do, sometimes, order from the habitual big name brands like Starbucks or Costa, I personally feel as though small businesses and independent cafés offer the best coffee and relaxing , aesthetically pleasing environment . So why am I telling you all this? As you can hopefully tell, Im extremely determined to explore to find and recommend the best coffee spots/ café for you all to enjoy too!

Rise Café
Customer Service- 8/10 , Value for money/ Coffee Quality- 7/10
Address: 108 Brockley Rise SE23 1NH
Heya everyone,
let's talk coffee! Not only is Rise Café local for me but was also heavily recommended by my sister who claims this , personally , was some of the best coffee she's had in a very long time so obviously i had to try it myself.
Immediately, the sign on the top of the shop was rustic giving a welcoming feel to the shop. In addition, there was an open window which enables customers to order without having to step into the shop making it convenient for take aways and avoids crowding in the café itself. As i've said before, mochas with milk alternatives (like oat or soya) are my current obsession so thats what i ordered.
I didn't actually step into the shop but from an outside view there were families inside with delicious looking pastries and coffees at tables on the surprisingly spacious inside. Tables outside were also full with seemingly happy and satisfied customers on the summers day.
Now to the good stuff - the coffee! The wait was a little under five minutes and was a rather reasonable price totalling at £3.30 ( however prices can vary from £2.65 depending on wether you eat in or take away)

NO41. Coffee & Kitchen
customer service - 9/10 , coffee quality/ value for money - 4/10
41 Brockley Rise, London SE23 1JG
Heya everyone,
let's talk coffee! From the exterior, it looked charming, cosy and welcoming and the faint coffee aroma beckoned me in. The man stood behind the counter welcomed me with a wide, warm and reassuring smile - "What can I get you today?".
My current favourite coffee is a mocha , iced or hot , with oat or soy milk and that's what I ordered. The menu with drinks was in a rather odd place in relation to the counter as he had to point it out to me and I was honestly shocked to see my iced mocha come to £4.20, this would have to be the most expensive coffee I've had so I was expecting exceptional coffee. Waiting for my coffee, I scanned the room taking in the surroundings. The interior was comprised of soft browns, oak wood, hand- drawn pictures on chalk boards and nice slightly dimmed lighting. The room had tables mainly suitable for one or two people making it a quaint spot to meet with friends or even a date ahahaha. However a mental shelving rack , by the window, holding coffee equipment and coffee beans didn't match the aesthetic and made the space look slightly cramped.
Now to the main and most important part - the coffee!
To say the least, I was disappointed. For £4.20 I received a coffee that had hard bits of unground coffee beans and the usual prominent bitter and nutty taste was watered down with way too much milk. Looking at the reviews before hand and family recommendation, I was sceptical before hand but regardless I kept an open mind and was optimistic but , again, was sadly disappointed.
