Yukimaru was at the kitchen table, doing his homework, when he heard Guren’s footsteps approaching. He forgot all about his math problem and ran outside, forgetting his coat. He launched himself at Guren and wrapped his little arms around her waist.

“You’re back!” he crowed.

Guren sat outside, looking over the fall landscape.

"...Winter is approaching..." She hummed before pulling on the hood over her head. "Better prepare early while we're ahead..." She stood and walked off in the direction of her and Yukimaru's new home.

A time of death always brought forth new life. She would make sure this was a new start for both her and Yukimaru.

“💐” Pink camellia

Yukimaru’s eyes light up, both at Aina’s visit and at the flower she brings. He takes in in his little hands, sniffs the petals, and stares at their intricate pattern.

“Wow! I’ve never seen a pink camellia before!” he enthuses. “What…what makes it pink?” It does remind him a little too much of the white camellias that were turned red at his mother’s death.
