i know i’m not the first person to say this but i think it’s absolutely insane how kageyama and hinata’s abilities match each other PERFECTLY. everyone is so shocked when they see them perform together for the very first time. kageyama is a brilliant setter- but it obviously wasn’t enough for his middle school team. hinata’s skills weren’t put to use until he met kageyama. he just had absolute trust in him every single time. i just don’t think he’s ever had that same connection with any other setter. it’s like their skills just balance out perfectly!THEY’RE SOULMATES YOUR HONOUR

None of u realize how important hinata’s ball boy arc is to me, it might be embarrassing and difficult to watch but that arc was so important for his growth as a player when you focus on insane receives he casually started pulling out in the inarizaki match. Not only was he able to discover the gratification of being good at the positions he was previously weak at, in a sport he was already obsessed with, he was also able to provide support to his teammates in the craziest most intense moments, and he got so good within such a short span bcs wdym tsukishima trusted him enough to receive the balls he knew he couldnt kill block?? Insane growth within that training camp, it is so dear to me.
