WERE YOU THERE? IN MY NIGHTMARE..
The maze stretched endlessly, its walls shifting as a group of us moved through it. Every level brought new challenges—boundaries we couldn’t cross, puzzles we had to solve. One floor had a broken elevator, a dead end in our escape, while something sinister followed close behind—a winged creature, always lurking. We soon realized we weren’t alone.
A group of beings were watching us from an observatory, rigging the maze with new traps as we advanced.
In our group, someone had hurt our doctor—a betrayal that cracked our fragile unity. The lower levels of the maze later revealed the truth: a prison beneath the maze. One of us had escaped it, and the chaos followed
We descended into the next level, a town hidden deep in the maze. It seemed like a safe haven, familiar and calm. We moved cautiously through its streets, eyes scanning for threats, but nothing appeared out of place. Desperate for safety, we sought refuge in the church. Its doors were heavy, the interior dim and quiet, offering us a brief sense of peace. But it didn’t last.As we huddled inside, a noise echoed from above. The winged creature, its dark form unfolding from the rafters, had been waiting. The church wasn’t sanctuary—it was a trap. Everything went south from there. We scrambled, but the walls of the town twisted around us, locking us in with the nightmare.
We soon passed into another maze, this time lined with endless doors, none of which promised an exit. Every choice felt like a trap each door opening into yet another puzzle.

Card of the day: Queen of Pentacles
I have great connections to this card as I have pulled it often. I hope this post finds whoever it is meant for today and you receive the messages that are meant for you.
This card plays predominantly on satisfaction. It is a feminine energy and fertility. Pentacles are indicative of work money business ancestry and physical health.
Today I feel this is weighing heavy on the physical health portion of the card. Maybe there's some fertile months coming ahead for you. Your physical health and your reproductive health are very important. Make sure you are having regular checkups.
If you have been having health issues Queen of Pentacles tells you to look to how you are treating yourself and your body. Think about how much time you give yourself and how much attention you pay to what you are putting into your body and make sure you are taking proper care of yourself.
Stay well and be blessed! 💜

Full Moon in Leo
February 5 2023, Snow Moon
Leo represents our center. Ruled by the Sun, this sign reminds us of what holds us together. It helps us feel our truth, and more importantly, it helps us feel our hearts. The regal lion of the zodiac, Leo embodies the energies of leadership, compassion, vulnerability, strength, and love.
In astrology, the themes of a Leo full moon are: romance, creative expression, fame, leadership, fertility
Full moon response
Full moons feel intense. They stir up emotions, both consciously and subconsciously. Every full Moon provides us the opportunity to transform our emotions and raise our vibration. Although to work with the emotions revealed by the upcoming full Moon in Leo on February 5, 2023, we must be willing to feel them.
This full moon we work on setting intentions for strength and courage over comfort.

Imbolc
Imbolc also known as Imbolg or Candlemas. Occurs February 2 halfway between winter solstice and spring equinox. Imbolc reminds us that daylight is growing and winter will soon be over.
As a symbol of the growing light, we bless and light many candles on this holiday.
This day is also known as St Brigid's day. Brigid is a Celtic goddess of fire and fertility who was later canonized by the Catholic Church. Many may fashion a Brigid's Cross. This cross is meant to bless the Earth with fertility and life. It protects one's home and drives away evil, fire and hunger.
In the photo below St. Brigid is holding a Brigid's Cross
Things to do on Imbolc:
plan your garden, cinnamon spell work, look for signs of spring, burn red candles, use flowers in your magick or to decorate your alter.

According to the legend, boo hags are similar to vampires. Unlike vampires, they gain sustenance from a person's breath, as opposed to their blood, by riding their victims.
They have no skin and are red. In order to be less conspicuous, they steal a victim's skin and use it for as long as it holds out, wearing it as one might wear clothing. They remove and hide this skin before going riding.
When a hag determines a victim is suitable for riding, the hag generally gains access to the home through a small crack, crevices, or hole. Then hags itself over the sleeping/dazing victim, sucking in their breath. This act renders the victim helpless and induces a deep dream-filled sleep. The hag tends to leave the victim alive, so as to use them again for their energy. However, if the victim struggles, the hag may take their skin, leaving the victim to suffer. After taking the victim's energy, the hag flies off, as they must be in their skin by dawn or be forever trapped without skin. When the victim awakes, they may feel short of breath, sick and very dizzy but generally the victim only feels tired.
An expression sometimes used in the South is "don't let the hag ride ya." This expression may come from the boo hag legend.
Sleep Paralysis/Hag Riding
Ever wake up and you weren't able to move?
Art by Elizabeth Piel
Sleep paralysis is a state of consciousness that happens before falling asleep or after waking in which one cannot move. During this time one may have hallucinations, see here or feel things in the room with them. These beings are called sleep demons.
In lore having sleep paralysis is called being "ridden by the hag" or "hag riding". In which an evil witch is on your chest making it impossible to move or even scream. A way to deter the witch is to place a broom in the room with you. Before she can sit on your chest she must count all the bristles

Sour Jar Spell
Sour someones life with this hoodoo practice of making a spell jar. Jar work can be used to bring good to your own life and trouble to others. There are three main jar works; honey jar, sour jar, and freezer work. Today we are focusing on bring sourness to someones life or situation
Hoodoo is a form of African American magic, also known as conjure. Hoodoo blends a combination of traditions that include African and Native American practices as well as Christianity and European folk magic.
Remember in hoodoo there is no threefold law or any idea of karma.
You'll need
A jar or container. A personal item, such as a photo, hair, nails or blood. Intention paper. Fill your jar with items seal and shake. Whenever you feel your person needs a little sour give your jar a good shake.
Vinegar- used to curse or harm others, punish or to "spoil" something *can explode do not fill jar with vinegar or heat jar
Black pepper- for banishing
Coffin nails- drive them away, drive the victim insane
Some string- to " trip up" your victim
Pet hair (optional) to make two people fight like cats and dogs
Dont forget to shake your jar from time to time.
When your done with the jar and you feel your person has reaped what they have sewed, bury completely or dispose of it at a crossroads. Don't just throw it away.
Let me know what other things you put in your sour jar and why?!!
Blessed Be 💜

Honey Spell Jar
Sweeten your life with this hoodoo practice of making a spell jar. Jar work can be used to bring good to your own life and trouble to others. There are three main jar works; honey jar, sour jar, and freezer work. Today we are focusing on bringing good our lives with a honey jar.
Hoodoo is a form of African American magic, also known as conjure. Hoodoo blends a combination of traditions that include African and Native American practices as well as Christianity and European folk magic.
Remember in hoodoo there is no threefold law or any idea of karma.
This is one of my favorite spells to do because it involves a few of my favorite things 💜jars and 💜honey
First take some time and think of some areas of your life that needs sweetening. Love, money, healing etc. Gather your items needed to do your work. You'll need a jar or container, desired ingredients for desired outcome. Petition paper with name if intended a photo will also work. Add trinkets and sweetener. Seal your jar with wax. When ever you need a little sweetness in your life burn a candle on top of your jar.
Honey- to sweeten situations or to sweeten others. Persuade others your way
Oils- essential oils are great to set intentions
Heart shaped... - draw love
Money- to raise financial status
Herbs and crystals- choose herbs and crystals that correspond with your intention
Happy casting
Blessed Be! 💜

This smokable tea is a house favorite. I call it "Night Night" because its great for bed time. Its relaxing and vivid dream inducing. The recipe makes enough to save for later as you only need about around a tablespoons of the mix for your cup of tea; and just enough for a bowl pack. Store in a jar for up to a year, not that it will last that long 😉
About the Herbs:
Damiana- reduces stress and may heighten libido, improves nervous system and works to improve overall health
Mugwort- antioxidant, enhances dreams, good for insomnia
Hops- mellow relaxant, tension reliever, very calming
Skullcap- sedative like effects, removes toxins, reduces inflammation
Valerian root- sedative like effects, calm your mind, eases anxiety
Catnip- sedative like effects, calming
Blue lotus flower- psychoactive, great for religious ceremonies, lucid dreaming
Recipe:
3T Damiana
1T Mugwort
1T Hops
IT Skullcap
1.5t Valerian root
1.5t Catnip
1.5t Blue lotus flower
I hope y'all enjoy! Drink and smoke responsibly 💜

Ostara-Spring Equinox
Ostara marks the Spring Equinox, which occurs March 20. Ostara is a pagan celebration and it is told this is the origins of the Christian celebration of Easter.
The bunny and eggs originated as symbols of spring, fertility and rebirth.
Germanic-Osterhase and English Goddess Eostre, (Goddess of Spring and the Dawn), had celebrations at the beginning of spring. Writings that describes these events trace back to a monk who lived between the end of the seventh century and beginning of the eighth century.
Germanic-a bunny named Osterhase who laid eggs in nests that children could collect served as a symbol of spring, fertility, and rebirth.
The Goddess Eostre-revived a dying bird and turned it into the iconic egg-laying rabbit, who in turn gifted Eostre with colorful eggs. These celebration mingled into Ostara.
As the beginning of spring Ostara is a good time to literally and figuratively plant seeds for the future. What you plant during Ostara will be ready to be harvested during the coming summer months and the sabbats of Beltane, Litha and Lughnasadh.
Ostara is a time to freshen up our home and life. To take time to clean and the Cleaning isn't just limited to home. Any areas where we spend time-car, computer, work, office, shed, relationships, ext.

The Magic[k] of Teeth
Teeth.
We’re born with them buried in our skull, waiting to pop through our gums and allow us to eat solid food. We have two sets of teeth; our infant teeth, known affectionately as “milk teeth” or “peggies” (in my family, at least) and our second and final set - our adult teeth. Some of us are blessed (or cursed) with four extra teeth our wisdom teeth, named so because they appear later than the rest of our teeth - when we are supposedly wiser than we were when our first adult teeth begin coming through.
But, what magic[k] do teeth hold? What uses do they have in witchcraft and spirituality? Let’s find out.

Book Of Shadows
Hi guys! As I’m hoping all of you had an amazing 2021, and hopefully a wonderful 2022, I decided to post once again.
It has been honestly quite a ride and a while since my last post. I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff lately and thought it might be a really nice way to start this 2022 with a post about my BoS. Some witches believe you shouldn’t share it, but I don’t find anything negative about sharing knowledge. I’m hoping some of you find it useful and might get some ideas from it. I know that sometimes it might be hard to figure out what to write on it. As a Mexican witch, most of it is in Spanish, but you’ll get the idea :).
I’ve been thinking on starting a series of blogs about it, so here’s the first one: “BoS: Useful Information”
✨ Long post with pictures.
So this is my Book Of Shadows. I bought it a few years ago at a small book shop in Tallin, Estonia. I fell in love the moment I saw it. The store it’s called “GILD Bookbinders” all of the journals are handmade. Later on I drew a pentagram with white paint for protection. You’ll see a lot of the things I’ve posted in here in my BoS. I tend to write everything down before or after making any magic.
JOURNEY
The first few pages are dedicated to the beginning of my journey. The Wiccan rede and the witches creed. When I wrote them I really didn’t knew what path I would like to take. But a few months later, I found myself being an Eclectic Wiccan.
SABBATS
6 years ago, as I began doing my first research about Wicca, I came up with the Wheel of The Year, that consists of 8 different Sabbats. I wrote a small description about each (I’m only showing two pages, but there’s a few more). That way I would always remember the associations, colors and dates. Nowadays it comes way easier, but it’s nice to have them in there.
CASTING A CIRCLE
I normally cast a circle every time I’m doing magic. For protection, cleansing or blessing materials. Wrote about the elements, how to invite them and what things I can use to represent them. For example: Salt = Earth.
CANDLE COLOR MEANINGS
One of the first things I learned was to use the power and energy of candles. I dedicated these two pages to label each color with a small description.
MAGIC WAND
I was eager to have a magic wand when I started. So I wrote about what I would use it for, how would I use it, and how to bless it. Tho I never found the right one, until probably two years ago, I decided to make my own. It took me 4 years to have one, lol. But now it’s perfect.
PENTAGRAM
As part of my research, at some point I encountered the inverted pentagram. I didn’t knew what it was, nor it’s uses. Later on I discovered it was the Sigil of Baphomet. Used, mostly, in satanic rituals. Even tho I have never used it and probably never will, I thought it was really interesting to have it in my BoS and the compare it to the Wiccan pentagram.
THE MOON
I love the moon. I use it so much in my witchcraft. It’s full of positive energy that we can always relay on. I wrote about the moon phases and what do they mean. Then dedicated some pages on how to make Moon water and Moon oil.
SYMBOLS OF WICCA
As a baby witch my biggest struggle was remembering the symbols, so I decided to draw some of them. There’s one more page to this section. Here’s also where I keep an envelope with the meanings of the runes aswell (I’ve talked about this on one of my first blogs on Tumblr).
So this is pretty much to my first post about my BoS. I think it covers a lot of useful information that might be needed at some point. As a witch I think it’s important to do plenty of research before doing any kind of magic.
I really hope you liked it!
I think next post of this series might be about herbology or deities 🤔.

Blessed be,
- May xo.
