Steve
I’m honestly pretty disappointed in the way he was portrayed as a major jerk. I don’t agree with public break ups but he said himself he intended to wait until he got to the end of his rope. Honestly, I think breaking up was a very mature thing for him to do. He couldn’t fulfill her needs. She wanted a romantic lovey-dovey partner and Steve wasn’t comfortable with that. Maybe he thought he could warm up to the idea, he clearly cares for her. As a friend, romantically they just aren’t compatible and both of them deserved to have their needs fulfilled. Which meant he had to let her go so she could find someone who could do that. It had potential to show a painful, but ultimately healthy break up and turned it into a funny/sweet ‘protecting poor Lorelai from that jerk’ moment instead.

Who is saying other people’s sexuality is up for debate? If someone finds out can you kindly hit them with a chair for me, please? You don’t get to walk up to someone, ask about their sexuality and go ‘nope, you sound gay to me. Why are you upset?’ yet that’s basically what happened to me on multiple occasions. I have barely said 10 sentences about it and yet they felt I was wrong about what I felt my sexuality is, and started to argue with me about it... What?

Neri and Nella
These are both just ocs of mine, both are still pretty new and being worked on so don’t judge too harshly please. Fun fact: Both their names are derived from deadly plants, Neri’s being a flower, and Nella a tree! Neri is a daemos! Easy to spot because of her deformed horns. They grew and wrapped around themselves to form a twisted halo above her head. This made her an outcast among outcasts, a bad omen that was hunted down. She escaped and now lives among the trees, becoming a bit of folklore as a guardian that will kill anyone who takes more than their share from the forest. Not many people believe she’s real, only a story to scare the children. Nella is a spirit that ‘adopted’ Neri. She resembles a small lion made of bark, her mane and the tip of her tail being covered in fluffy leaves. Her mane is constantly blooming with bright flowers that are toxic enough to kill on contact. Because Neri grew up with her, she slowly became immune and even uses the flowers to create various poisons, mostly to coat her weapons with.

Healing magic and humans
Ok so something that has bothered me is in one episode leif woke Ava back up (After being the one to knock her out) with magic, but then she gets a cold and suddenly healing magic doesn’t work on humans??? I’ve decided to fix that by saying it really can only heal physical/magical problems which I don’t fully know if being knocked out counts but it does to me so it works. They don’t seem to get sick, at least not in the same way humans do. So it would make sense their magic evolved to focus on the kind of damage they normally deal with, blade or magic based compared to mean bacteria

Drunk MID
So I’ve seen this before, which made me think of how I might see the characters as drunk. I’m not used to being around drunk people, my parents drink maybe twice a year at best and both are happy-go lucky drunks so knowledge is limited! Asch: Strangely enough, he calms down. It’s not a bad way to get information from him, or to have feelings talk because he’s much more open. Until he decides he doesn’t want to talk anymore, and explodes worse than if he was sober. RIP Ava’s house. Noi: Happy go lucky! Like a little kid on a crack laced sugar high everything is GREAT everything is HAPPY everything must be TOUCHED AND NO HE WILL NOT SIT DOWN AND HAVE SOME WATER HE MUST RUN. Pierce: Opposite of Noi, he slows down even more somehow. He will however latch onto anything, or anyone that he likes to cuddle and pet. Good luck getting away from him unless a new victim strays too close. Leif: Gloomy drunk. His walls break down leaving him emotional, enjoys Pierce’s affection. He HATES this. However he is also too competitive to let everyone else drink while he’s too much of a ‘coward’ and always ends up drunk too. Rhys: Does not drink. He may have a glass, or two if with his fellow guards/Lady Grandma, but he will not get drunk. Depending on his mood if asked you will either get a long rant about the effects and dangers of consuming alcohol or he will simply state he doesn’t like the taste. Ava: Has not gotten drunk, so no one really knows. It’s not that she won’t, she’s not as ‘good’ as her fathers like to believe, she’s scared to be like leif. An emotionally vulnerable drunk. She spends a lot of time hiding from her own feelings, and worries getting drunk will bring them all to light whether she likes it or not. Bonus Lorelei: Aggressively happy go lucky. She will physically drag you to a party because it’s going to be FUN and so you have to be there and she will not be taking no for an answer. Little dopey, just wants to have fun and by god she will make sure you have fun too if she has to take over this entire party herself.

How come Ava doesn’t get just Leif a nerf gun? It’s a fairly harmless way to invoke pain and violence without straight up murder. At least until he starts sniping people from the window with his tiny gun that in no way should be able to aim that far.
