Nic: I'm the opposite though. Give me commitment and exclusivity and loyalty. Greta ruined me that way you know? Never really had to play the field or develop any of those causal skills.

Nic: If you say so Wes.

Nic: It may be gross, but is often necessary... ;)

Wes: I wouldn't mind commitment, it seems nice. Much better than feeling like your sole purpose is quick comfort and no-strings-attached sex.

Wes: Not that I don't enjoy my job, because I do...

Wes: Just...I can see where you're coming from.

Wes: I do, and I'm always right.

Wes: Well, yes, but the grossness is overshadowed by other things, which makes it perfectly acceptable.

“I’m so glad!  Especially seeing that you’re not sneezing after sniffing the flowers,” she giggled.  “A fairy!  That’s the sweetest thing anyone has said about me,” she smiled giddily.  “How’s work going, Wes?  Maybe you can show off these flowers to everyone and spread that joy!”

“I find that hard to believe, Daisy. You’re so nice!” Wes giggled, placing the flowers on their table and gesturing for Daisy to come in and stay a while. They hadn’t had a visitor in a while and they really appreciated the company. Apparently, so did Algernon as the tiny puppy ran straight for the young woman, barking all the way. “Work is fine, same as usual. I’m looking for something part-time teaching dance to fill the rest of my free time, but I’m happy! I’m sure my clients will appreciate these pretty flowers!”

“From me!” she giggled, handing the flowers over.  “I always believe that getting flowers can brighten someone’s day.”

Their smile grew exponentially when they took the pretty bouquet from Daisy, sticking their nose into the bright flowers and enjoying their fresh scent. Wes was sure, in that moment, that Daisy was actually magical because their not-so-wonderful day had just turned itself around. “Aww, thank you so much! They’re so pretty and I’m not allergic to any of them! You’re like some kind of happiness fairy, Daisy!”

Edmund was trying to get things in order since they had gotten back from China. The panda cubs were in quaratine just in case and following protocol but they needed to get a debut for the two cubs in their new enclosure. Edmund had offered to help with it seeing as he had planned a few things around the zoo before. Turning a corner in the store he stopped almost running into someone. “Oh, Sorry! Didn’t see you there.”

Once they got over the mini heart attack they’d had after almost running into a solid wall of human, they beamed, laughing it off along with him. “It’s alright1 I’m kind of small and I’m not wearing my ‘notice me’ outfit today. Normally, I’d be offended, but you’re cute so I’ll let it slide,” Wes replied playfully, running their hands through their messy mop of hair.

“Thank you,” Phoebe smiled, and turned to follow the stranger. “Your parents? Such a coincidence, this is going to my parents. They live in the States.” 

Wes’ eyes lit up at the mention of their home country, surprised and excited to find someone from the U.S. in Verona. “My parents live in the States, too! I mean, you could probably tell because of my terrible accent, but I grew up there. I’m Wes, it’s nice to meet you!”

Freddie had wandered out into the park, taking a football so he could toss it around for a bit. Maybe he’d meet someone new that way, maybe he’d spend some good time by himself, he didn’t really care. He wasn’t really paying attention when he tossed it lightly - which means he didn’t notice the person directly in the path of the football until it was too late. “Look out! Sorry!”

Unfortunately for Wes, they didn’t hear the man’s warning until it was too late and they took a football straight to the face. Stumbling backward, they managed to lose their grip on their dog’s leash and almost land headfirst onto the pavement. It was a sight to be seen and they had to take a minute to really process everything before springing into action. “Wait! Algernon!” They yelled, jogging after their dog who had decided to sprint full-speed at the football-throwing man, completely forgetting about the football in front of them and almost tripping over it. God, they were a mess.

Nic: Huh. Well, the more power to them you know? Find the one you love, no matter who it is.

Nic: Because of the monogramy?

Nic: Almost /everyone/ is that short compared to me ;P Oh God, please, I'm not.

Nic: Oh man that is awesome. Feeding animals is always such an exercise in trust. I love it.

Nic: Cool; this might work out well for all of us then.

Wes: Yeah, of course.

Wes: Exactly.

Wes: Yes, you are! I am the absolute authority on attractiveness and I say that you're hot.

Wes: It's fun but also kind of...damp. Saliva is gross.

Wes: Good!

“Hello there, excuse me? Can you direct me to the nearest post office?” Phoebe said, balancing a rather large box on her hip.

“The nearest post office? Yeah, sure! I go there all the time to get stuff my parents send me,” they smiled, motioning for her to follow them as they turned on their heels and headed for the familiar building. Wes did have a client in around a half an hour to get to, but they were certain it wouldn’t take long to show someone around and then sprint back to Tru’s.

Nic: They're gay? I always thought they were monogamous and I thought that was why I liked them.

Nic: Tall, long neck, a little gangly. How can you even tell about their eyes, or mine for that matter short stuff? :P

Nic: Grazie barks a little. Mostly when she is excited or when she is being possessive of something. We'll see how it goes.

Nic: I was just talking to someone about testing her abilities to share me, despite being very much a alpha female dog. We will see how she adjusts to other people taking some of my attention.

Wes: Lol, that too. They're just infamous for being gay. There are all these stories about gay penguins in zoo's and I think it's kind of funny but also kind of cool. The monogamy is pretty cool, too.

Wes: I'd make a terrible penguin.

Wes: Heyyy, I'm not that short. And I see your eyes all the time, they're on your face after all. I do actually look at your face occasionally, I know it's hard to believe when you're so hot, but I do.

Wes: As for giraffes, I've fed them before and you see their faces when you do that. :P

Wes: Good idea. I think Algernon might help in that case. He's pretty chill when it comes to sharing except for when it comes to food.
