Things to distract you from feeling sad:

make playlists of songs that make you happy 

eat some fruits and mix them in yogurt

have a long cry if you’ve been holding everything in

don’t go on your phone, brew some tea, sit in a warm comfortable spot and read a book 

don’t stay in bed too long

write a list of things that make you excited or happy

listen to music and go for a walk if it’s sunny

watch a feel-good movie and drink a mug of hot chocolate

reminisce good memories, they’re proof that life can be lovely

spray some perfume

read posts or quotes that inspire you

dearest friend, don’t be afraid. it’s easy to feel like you are going to be in darkness forever. i know it is hard to envision what could be waiting for you beyond the current struggles! and i know things are a little crazy right now but i’m here to let you know that some of your best days are waiting for you just around the bend. the sun is shining and you are smiling so bright. you will get by and you will be happy. you have come so far and done the best you can, the fantastic adventures and days full of laughter that you deserve are on their way.

see your life as a dream. in dreams you’re free and things always turn out okay in the end. be free when you’re awake too. free from your thoughts and expectations and doubt. do things you’re afraid of. tell everyone you love them. wander around and see the beauty in everything. go on countless adventures without feeling like you’re wasting your time. say what you think and be your idealized image of yourself. do what you love instead of being trapped in expectations. stop doubting yourself because this entire life could be a dream and you’re wasting it away by being afraid.
