New Bechdel-like test for gay/lesbian romance films:
Your gay characters cannot:
Have an illegal or otherwise creepy age gap.
Cheat on each other or anyone else (especially not if the cheating is portrayed as romantic).
Die tragically, violently or AT ALL.

The amount of times I could have been that white girl in the horror movie could honestly be a movie in itself and it’s honestly a waste that my entire life isn’t constantly recorded on film because it would be HILARIOUS

old people really need to learn how to text accurately to the mood they’re trying to represent like my boss texted me wondering when my semester is over so she can start scheduling me more hours and i was like my finals are done the 15th! And she texts back “Yay for you….” how the fuck am i supposed to interpret that besides passive aggressive

Hi all! Poetry Writing and Tarot Reading!
So as most of you know I’ve been going through some pretty difficult times lately. For a while, it looked like things were really looking up, but pretty recently I got some bad news. So after supposedly working for someone remotely, I received a fraudulent check that bounced taking all of my money with it and then some leaving me with a severely overdrawn bank account that I can’t afford to pay off. On top of this, the store I work at is currently in the process of closing, meaning I will soon be out of a job. I’ve been applying for months and months and I can’t seem to find any place that will hire me, which leaves me very worried as I still have to pay to go to doctor’s appointments as well as for my medication for my breathing as well as for my mental illness. I’ve been trying to manage the heavy debt I have after coming out of the hospital last September (from a total respiratory shut down), however, it’s been a struggle as I make little more than minimum wage. (If anyone needs proof of any of this I would be more than happy to message you privately and show you documentation.)
So I created a Ko-Fi account, I will be offering one card Oracle and Tarot Readings for three dollars through Ko-fi, as well as essay and paper editing for ten dollars (I have a degree in Creative Writing). The new thing I am also offering is I would love to write poems for you all based on your aesthetics on your blog, or based on you as individuals. It’s not much, but it is what I can give in exchange. These poems will also be ten dollars and I can send all of this through email or a platform of your choice.
If anyone would like to see any of my other content you can head over to Luna Canticum my current project to get an idea of my work.
I know it is a lot to ask for, but hopefully, it will help me until I can find another job, or to go towards some of the debt I have had the misfortune of collecting. I know many of you are also going through some rough times yourself, but any bit helps and I truly appreciate it, even if you just reblogged or signal boosted the post.

what if people we consider collectors today were actually just dragons in disguise, building their hoards?
“I am a dragon. And this is my hoard.”
“You… don’t look like a dragon.”
“Well, hardly anyone does, these days. Times have changed, we have too. The scales and tails thing worked with the dinosaurs, but we learned quite quickly that… that wasn’t going to fly with you people.”
“You were around all the way back to the dinosaurs?”
“Well, not like… me personally. How old do you think I am?”
“… There’s no safe answer to that.”
“No.”
“So… when you say this is your hoard…?”
“All dragons have them. Some stick to the old gold and jewels thing, but that’s so cliche these days. Most of us like our hoards to be a little bit more sophisticated than ‘shiny.’“
“Like what?”
“I have known dragons to collect snowflakes from the first fall of the year over dozens of centuries. I know dragons that collect petals of flowers left on the graves of loved ones. Dragons that keep and care for soft toys and comfort items, left behind as children grow up. Dragons that guard happy memories and shards of sunlight, kept safe for rainy days. And me, I keep a sanctuary of words. A bastion of language, of poetry. Of written music and achingly beautiful prose. I am the Guardian of this monument to linguistic majesty. I collect stories of love and life and death and mourning and joy. There is nothing more beautiful in all the world, no coin or gem or sliver of starlight more fantastic than a well-told tale. A story is this world’s truest treasure, and what better chest for it than a book?”
“Wow. So these things… really mean a lot to you, huh?”
“More than anything in this world.”
“So… I probably can’t borrow your copies of Discworld, can I?”
“You absolutely fucking cannot.”

No, I’m serious, if women all got together and went into electrical engineering or automotive repair en masse, then ten years later people would be talking about how it was a “soft field” and it would pay proportionately less than other fields.
Likewise, if men moved en masse to bedeck themselves in sparkles and make-up, then suddenly you’d get a bunch of editorials talking about how classy they look.
None of these things are inherently masculine or feminine; none of these things inherently elevate you or drag you down. But whatever women are seen to do is automatically seen as being inherently more frivolous than anything men do. And shaming women for not pigeonholing themselves into a narrow range of acceptable “masculine” behaviours is just going to result in the goalposts getting moved once again.
