What do librarians actually do?
Why libraries need librarians | Vox
This article will give you a better perspective on librarians, their roles and responsibilities and how they help us and our society grow.
A TL;DR
Librarians
-act as social workers, interacting with individuals who access libraries for help
-catalogue books and CDs , DVDs and other stuff
-acquire books
-provide a safe space, a third space for individuals.

This killed me. Randomly unexpected jokes are the best!

The First Darling
It’s mostly found first in King Alfred’s translations of On the Consolation of Philosophy by Boethius written while he awaited execution, for ‘treason’ (more likely because he denounced corruption in the government).

Why is that allowed now? Everyone should be free to read whatever they want. I'd hope I could read romantasy or romance novels even if Harris had won
I know I already said this, but it warrants its own post. From now on, I don't want to see people shame others for choosing to read mindless romance, Wattpad-tier books, children's books, or anything that isn't actively harmful. It's going to be a long four years for many of us.

There is nothing that will reach for your heart faster than, a book that is written with this in mind. People pouring out their heart, genuinely talking to people, on the other side, is why people still read their writings, decades later.
Benjamin Franklin's great "Autobiography" is so heartfelt and lovely because it (Part One) was a letter from the father to his son William. He was trying to teach him some life lessons.
Any book will remain successful and timeless is when it flows from the heart with genuine advice not a thesis but a letter.
We need to write more letters, poems, songs even if they are to ourselves to get in touch with our inner thoughts. It helps.
There is nothing that attracts me more than a deep, honest, serene, and truly meaningful conversation.

Best Hufflepuff Fanfic !
So, I read this awesome HP fanfic!
What's Her Name in Hufflepuff by ashez2ashes (2018-present)
Kasey Thompson travels back in time to Harry Potter’s timeline, reverse ages into an eleven-year-old, goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. First Year complete!
Involves fun adventures and wonderful prose. The author is actually a writer, herself but for non-fiction.
I genuinely love the dynamic of the characters and the fact that there are some things plotted like say going to a concert way in advance, they actually develop the characters.

There are those who say the Mystery Incorporated show negates this but no if you see the ending the whole universe is rebooted or a parallel universe is created with changed history at the end meaning that this story can still continue to exist as canon.
The lore of Scooby Doo Mystery Incoporated endlessly fascinated me. They are trapped in a perpetual Cold War Era version of America. Fashionwise, everyone dresses like it's late 60s early 70s but there computers look to be from the 80s or perhaps 90s. BUT they also have cell phones, and texting? And online chatrooms/blogs? Velma canonically has a blog so internet wise, late 90s early 2000s???? Not to even mention the like EXTREME military industrial complex going on in Crystal Cove, the amount of villans who offhand mention having a degree or experience with military robotics or engineering is BONKERS. Also, there's WWII era German nazi bots? That's just canon, that's just a facet of the world they live in. Crazy that the evil parrot with a German accent has better established more believeable lore than the UNDERWATER NAZI ROBOTS. There's characters canonically referencing/making fun of H. P Lovecraft, Stephanie Meyers, and Taylor Lautner. The H. P Lovecraft parody is named H. P Hatecraft btw and it's the funniest thing ever, this is the best show ever made.

I totally agree! Scooby apocalypse was an amazing book! It's a shame that no one tried to adapt it or make another comic book like it! There's a lot of potential to do amazing things with the franchise which I think was lost.

This is not for you Disney! This applies only for fanfiction though. ONLY FOR FANFICS!
It is wrong for studios to change canon unless it is required to streamline the story and with the author's consent.
The reason for this is that everyone is not going to have read/watched/heard the alternative versions but they will have read/watched/heard the original.
For example, Uncle Rick's changes in the Percy Jackson Series were proper, even though it might be a bit overrated at times I like the series.
Disney's changes to the canon in the Percy Jackson Film (the Logan Lerman one) were wrong.
This is again different if the author is dead for eg Jane Austen and her work, then you're entirely beholden to the fandom's headcanons.
something that I feel like is missing from fandom nowadays is the idea that you dont have to have a unified, chronologically/tonally consistent interpretation of your favorite work. your fics dont have to fit within the same version of canon, even if theyre all canon-compliant on their own. your headcanons can contradict each other. be a multishipper. write metas that take two totally different interpretations of the same plot point. write a character as a villain and then write them as the hero next time. write a character as a lesbian and then write them as straight next time! engage in hypotheticals and drop them when you get bored! make up the rules as you go!! have fun with it!!!
